Go for knowledge 1

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.” Hosea 4:6. (KJV)

All breakthroughs are knowledge-driven. Ignorance is costly and deadly. Ignorance is knowing nothing, having insufficient knowledge, or knowing incorrectly. The knowledge of truth is the true deliverer. Three types of knowledge will bring you a breakthrough: the God you know, the things you know, and the people you know. You must commit yourself to intentional learning as a lifestyle if you want to deal with ignorance and its consequences.

“And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” Daniel 11:32. (KJV)

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32 (KJV)

Unconsciously, you learn from the things you watch, the voice you listen to, and the people you associate with. Intentional learning means you control these. When you read a book relevant to your area of challenge or attend a class or training, you are intentional about gaining knowledge. As we start a new month today, determine the knowledge you need and go for it. The fact that you are reading this message means you desire to know something. I decree that God will guide you into your breakthrough in Jesus' name.

May you reject ignorance in Jesus' name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, send Your light into my life, in Jesus' name.

Salvation: Lord Jesus, I believe in the forgiveness of sin and in the redemption from the power of darkness through your blood. I confess you as my Savior and Lord.  I invite you into my life to save my soul. Holy Spirit, come into my heart and make me what you want me to be. Thank you Lord for saving me in Jesus name.

Be hungry for God’s word

“The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.” Psalms 119:130. (KJV)

Welcome to the last day of January 2023. Time cannot be tied down; the year is gradually coming to an end. What you do with your time is within your control and determines your life. You must be hungry for the word of God. If the word of God comes to you, darkness and confusion are over. The Word of God empowers you to walk in the wisdom of God. This means what you called a challenge or a mountain will be easily dealt with.

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Joshua 1:8. (KJV)

“But his delight is in the law of the Lord; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” Psalms 1:2-3 (KJV)

What you called a problem will no longer be a problem if you do what you are supposed to do correctly. Therefore, the real problem is knowing what to do and how to do it. The Word of God will reveal to you what to do and how to do it. If you meditate on God’s word with a desire to receive His word, you will have the word you need every time. Don’t be moved by your situation; it is subject to change; but be moved by the word of God, it is the solution you need.

May you receive a timely word from God in Jesus' name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, give me the word that I need for every situation, in Jesus' name.

Be devoted to God

“Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.” Daniel 6:10. (KJV)

Challenges come to all, but those who are devoted to God cannot be swallowed up. True devotion to God is a sure foundation of a life of victory. This was Daniel's secret. He was so devoted to God that even the fear of being thrown into the lion's den could not stop his prayer routine. He ruled over the lions right in their own den. The three Hebrew boys could not be consumed by a fire that killed those who threw them inside because of their devotion to God. When you start following God for who He is, then you are devoted to Him.

“Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,  Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:37-39. (KJV)

“When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.” Isaiah 43:2 (KJV)

God rewards those who are devoted to Him with His presence, His power, and His wisdom. This is what you need to overcome in any situation. Spend time with God daily. This is one of the signs that you are devoted to God. Fear God as a sign of your reverence for Him and obey Him in all things. This is the beginning of winning wisdom. Get involved and be committed to a local church. You cannot claim to be devoted to God and not do so.

May you win in all your battles in Jesus' name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, give me a personal revelation of You and help me to be devoted to you, in Jesus' name.

Stop looking back

“And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:62. (KJV)

Do you know why you have not made remarkable progress with your relationship with the Lord? Do you know why you do not have remarkable results in your life? Any time you face an obstacle or a challenge, you look back! Whenever you look back, it is a "begin again." Faith muscles are developed by exercising your faith. Stop looking back and start exercising your faith, no matter how little it is. Then you will see breakthrough results, and your faith will be encouraged.

“Remember Lot's wife.” Luke 17:32. (KJV)

“For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” Hebrews 5:13-14 (KJV)

The only thing that guarantees your destiny is your faith in God (Romans 1:17). You cannot live on milk forever; milk gives babies strength, but adults need strong food to grow. The word of God is your daily need for spiritual strength for life and destiny (Matthew 4:4; Romans 10:17). If you keep looking back, you are not growing in the word and you will become a pillar of salt. However, if you look forward, you grow in faith and become what God wants you to be.

May you grow in faith this year in Jesus' name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, help me to give myself to the word and to grow this year, in Jesus' name.

Evidence of wisdom

“…….But wisdom is justified of her children.” Matthew 11:19. (KJV)

Destiny fulfillment is not possible without wisdom. Wisdom produces results. One way for you to know the kind of wisdom operating in your life is the kind of fruit you are producing. I want to specifically talk about the wisdom of the Egyptians and the wisdom of the Kingdom (of God). Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and as the evidence showed, he was mighty in words and in deeds. However, the wisdom of the Egyptians was not enough to deliver the people of Israel; he needed the wisdom of the Kingdom.

“And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and in deeds.” Acts 7:22. (KJV)

“And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?.” Mark 6:2 (KJV)

Moses eventually encountered God and got the wisdom of the Kingdom which made him defeat all the wisdom of the Egyptians. Jesus operating by the wisdom of the Kingdom did mighty works that astonished His people. My question to you this morning is, "Are you learned in all the wisdom of the Kingdom?" You will do yourself so much good by investing in walking in the wisdom of the Kingdom. This is the wisdom that will defeat the wickedness of the present age.

May you walk in the wisdom of God in Jesus' name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, teach me Your wisdom through the Holy Spirit, in Jesus' name.

Be action oriented

““Look!” he said. “The people are united, and they all speak the same language. After this, nothing they set out to do will be impossible for them!” Genesis 11:6. (NLT)

Action-oriented people are the ones who get results; be one of them. Your goals are achievable; act as if there are no obstacles. Don’t look for reasons why it cannot be done; ask how it could be done. If it needs to be done, then it can be done. If you can imagine it, it is doable. Be conscious of the fact that you are not alone and the greater One is in you. You are God’s sanctuary and dominion, no sea, no Jericho wall can stand against you (Psalm 114). If God has put a vision in your heart, don’t be disobedient, take action.

“And it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came, and drew nigh to meet David, that David hastened, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine.” 1 Samuel 17:48 KJV

““And so, King Agrippa, I obeyed that vision from heaven. 20 I preached first to those in Damascus, then in Jerusalem and throughout all Judea, and also to the Gentiles, that all must repent of their sins and turn to God—and prove they have changed by the good things they do.” Acts 26:19-20 (NLT)

David put his action where his mouth was, which is why he is remembered to this day as a giant killer. You too can kill the giant project if you go after it. Remember, you have the Holy Spirit, if you are afraid or don't know how to proceed. He will lead you, teach you, and empower you.

This is your year of remarkable results in Jesus' name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, help me to achieve all my goals this year, in Jesus' name.

Expect a new thing

“It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23. (KJV)

Every child of God can believe God for a new thing and expect Him to do something new. There are many reasons for this, but let me mention three of them. The first one is that God’s mercies are new every morning. This means that you can actually claim new things every day in the name of the Lord. The second is that His faithfulness is great, and this is linked to the third reason, which is the fact that He has promised to do new things.

“Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:18-19

“The Lord is my portion, saith my soul; therefore will I hope in him. The Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him.” Lamentations 3:24-25

I believe God will not and cannot fail in His promises. We only need to align ourselves with His word and see His faithfulness in our lives. This means we can tell all the former negative things in our lives to give way to new positive things in the name of Jesus. Instead of failure, we can expect success this year. Get ready for new and better things. Make changes in your life that will accommodate the new things that you desire.

May you experience new things this year in Jesus' name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, do something new in my life that will show Your faithfulness, in Jesus' name.

Determine your result

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15. (KJV)

You can determine your life's effectiveness by investing in training. Study, learn, and get trained for the fruit you want to produce in your life. You attract what you become; the way to become is through learning. What are you known for? What can you deliver? What skills do you have? Your answers to these questions are a reflection of your self-development and improvement. Are you current in your field? If you are outdated, you will be set aside. It is never too late to learn.

“Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old.” Matthew 13:52

“And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.” Luke 10:39

Be prepared to do things in a new and better way this year. Learn from the feet of the Lord through meditation on the scriptures and prayers. Learn from experts in your field. Give yourself to mentoring. Don’t be cumbered with many things; instead, choose the necessary things that determine your result and cannot be taken from you.

May you give yourself to learning in Jesus' name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, put passion for learning and desire for knowledge in me, in Jesus' name.

The law of the first

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33. (KJV)

Put God first, and everything else will fall into place. Life is stressful without God’s grace, wisdom, and power. Seek God first before it is too late (Is 55:6, Ecc 12:1). You cannot be the best without God. Give God your first hour of the day. Give God your first fruit. Give God your tithe. Most important, give God’s instructions the first priority in your life. Think of it this way, everything you are looking for is in God. God has chosen to reveal Himself to us through His word and His Holy Spirit.

“And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:41-42

“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13

You cannot know yourself until you know God first. This is the reason behind the confusion in the lives of many. Stay in God’s presence until you know Him and discover yourself, then your life's questions shall be answered. You will then discover where you should live, what you should do with your life, and the kind of company you should keep.

May you find God first in Jesus' name.

Prayer for today: I invite the Holy Spirit to guide and guard me in my destiny journey, in Jesus' name..

Redeem the time

“See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” Ephesians 5:15-16 (KJV)

The adage that "time waits for no man" is true, as is the fact that you cannot tie time down. Whether you do something or not, time moves. You may not be able to tie time down, but you can redeem it. Fools watch the time moves, but the wise redeem it. The wise redeem the time by investing it. They plan for the day before it arrives so that the time can be used purposefully.

“And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.” 1 Chronicles 12:32 (KJV)

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:” Ecclesiastes 3:1  (KJV)

Your result will be better this year if you make better use of your time. You must beware of people who come to you and help you waste your time. Attach value to your time, it will eventually decide your worth. Don’t be a waster of time in the lives of people. You may not have money right now, but you have time that, if you used well, will change your story.

May you walk wisely in Jesus' name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, guide me to do the right thing at the right time in Jesus' name.

You have a ministry

“For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office:” Romans 12:4 (KJV)

The Bible mentions the fivefold leadership ministries that include Apostles, Prophets, Pastors, Teachers, and Evangelists (Ephesians 4:11). However, there are congregational ministries too. Every New Testament born-again believer has received grace from the Lord to serve in certain offices. If you do not take up your office, you waste God’s grace upon your life. Romans 12:1-8 must be studied by every serious-minded believer who desires to grow this year and be who God wants him or her to be.

“And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it.” Colossians 4:17 (KJV)

“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;” Colossians 3:23  (KJV)

There is a grace of God upon your life, put this grace to work in the church you belong to. You may not be a Pastor, but you have a ministry, and the Spirit of the Lord is telling you to fulfill your ministry. Whatever you do in the church is not unto the Pastor but unto the Lord. Humble yourself before God and take up the ministry He assigned to you. You will surely be rewarded.

You shall not receive the grace of God in vain in Jesus' name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, make me a practical instrument for you and use me in Jesus' name.

Possibility perspective

“Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” Mark 9:23 (KJV)

Statements like "it cannot be done" or "it is impossible" are not part of believers' vocabularies. We don’t do things based on our own ability but on the ability of God that is at work in us. Therefore, if you believe that God is with you and in you, your perspective will change. If your perspective changes, so will your action, and consequently, your result. If it needs to be done, it can be done!

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:13 (KJV)

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,” Ephesians 3:20 (KJV)

Your perspective is your ceiling; you cannot grow beyond it. Your growth is not in the hands of the devil, nor is it in the hands of your environment. It is in your hands because God cannot even help you beyond your perspective. You must have a possibility perspective, if you don’t want to be limited in life. If your perspective is filled with fear, unbelief, and doubt, spend time with God and His word until you have a possibility perspective.

You shall break all limitations this year in Jesus' name.

Prayer for today: Oh God make me what you want me to be in Jesus' name.

Add fasting to your prayer

“Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.” Matthew 6:16 (KJV)

Jesus said, “When you fast,” not “If you fast.” This means believers are expected to fast regularly. Fasting must be part of your weekly routine, but long-term fasting must be commanded by God. Jesus said if you do it right, you will receive the reward. You don’t have to fast for men to notice that you are fasting. If the purpose of your fasting is established, you can be rewarded by achieving the purpose. There are some spiritual issues that cannot be solved without adding fasting to your prayers. Fasting is one of the keys to generate the power of God in your life.

“Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.” Matthew 17:21 (KJV)

“Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.” Esther 4:16 (KJV)

There is individual fasting and corporate fasting. If there is an extremely challenging issue and you are able to get someone to agree with you in prayer and fasting, you will get a speedy solution to the issue. I believe fasting humbles us before God when it is done right so that God’s work in our lives is not hindered. You can develop spiritual gifts if you engage in fasting and prayer regularly.

May you have the strength to fast regularly in Jesus' name.

Prayer for today: Oh God lay Your hands upon me and do mighty works through me this year in Jesus' name.

Prayer changes things

“And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:7-9 (KJV)

The only constant in life is change; please make it happen deliberately by praying regularly. Nothing is actually stagnant; you are either progressing or retrogressing. I pray for you that you make remarkable progress this year, in Jesus name. Now you cannot maintain a consistent prayer life and not experience positive and remarkable changes in your life. A sound prayer life is an indication of your trust in God. The reward is direction and impartation of His wisdom, power and favor upon your life. This is what you need to experience positive changes in your life.

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” Philippians 4:6 (KJV)

“Pray without ceasing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:17 (KJV)

I believe every serious Christian must have schedules of prayer, day and night. If you do, you will have power to change things and spiritual authority. Now, this is not about your physical needs alone, although, he who prays consistently needs not to worry about any physical need. It is about you becoming God’s sanctuary and dominion.

May you have a strong prayer life in Jesus' name.

Prayer for today: Oh God give me power to prevail daily in prayer in Jesus' name.

You can change your fate

“Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.” Matthew 9:29 (KJV)

Your fate is determined by your faith. Your faith determines what happens to you and what becomes of you. You can change the circumstances without if you have the right faith within. You can change things by the faith within. If you don’t like what is happening to you or your situation, you must work on the faith within. Faith is neutral; it takes on the charges of your belief. If your belief is positive, your faith is positive. If your belief is negative, your faith is negative. Positive faith is developed by feeding on the word of God.

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17 (KJV)

“Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” Mark 9:23 (KJV)

No matter what you are going through, don’t feed your mind with the negative, and stop speaking the negative. As the year is just beginning, find the scriptural verses that deal with the situation you want to change and meditate on them. Do it until you have a revelation, then you will have the faith to change your fate.

Your story is changing for good in Jesus' name.

Prayer for today: I receive God-kind of faith to change my fate in Jesus' name.

Faith in Jesus’ name

“And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.” Acts 3:16 (KJV)

Faith in the name of Jesus is something you can have, and you are sure you have it. Peter compared having faith in Jesus' name to having money (Acts 3:6). He also made us understand that faith in Jesus' name can solve problems that money cannot. You can permanently deal with the sicknesses and diseases that people are looking for money to solve, if you have faith in the name of Jesus. Faith in Jesus' name can solve all issues in life, including money issues. As a Christian, you must have faith in Jesus' name to live the kind of life God wants for you.

“Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.” Acts 3:6 (KJV)

“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.” Acts 4:13 (KJV)

Faith in Jesus' name is what you need to deal with mountains in your life and in the lives of others. You can have faith in Jesus' name by spending time with Him. Meditate on the four gospels and the book of Acts. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal Jesus to you. Maintain constant, consistent daily fellowship with Jesus. Time spent in church and in fellowship with other believers can help you develop faith in Jesus.

May you develop faith in Jesus' name.

Prayer for today: I cast every mountain out of my life in Jesus' name.

Who influences you?

“He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.” Proverbs 13:20 (KJV)

Anyone who influences you toward God is a wise person; you should follow such a person. Anyone who influences you away from God will destroy you. God has revealed Himself to us through His Son, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. Your relationship with Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit is your relationship with God the Father. You should keep company with those who encourage your relationship with Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

“My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not.” Proverbs 1:10 (KJV)

“Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.” 1 Corinthians 15:33 (KJV)

Everyone is influenced by someone, particularly the company you keep. You speak the same language and behave in the same manner as the company you keep. You must evaluate your life and the type of company you keep. Those who influence you will determine whether your life will be better this year or not. They will also decide whether you will experience the change you desire or not. If you grow in your walk with Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit, you will surely grow in every area of your life. If the company you presently keep is not encouraging you in this area, please change company.

Your week is blessed in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, let my life be controlled by Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit in Jesus name.

Serve the Lord

“And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.” Exodus 23:25-26 (KJV)

Serve the Lord with love. Serve the Lord wholeheartedly. Serving the Lord provokes His blessings on your life. This blessing includes divine provision, sound health, fruitfulness, and longevity. Serving the Lord is the answer to miscarriages and barrenness in any area of your life, marriage, business, and career inclusive. If you desire to have the blessing, don’t be a benchwarmer in the house of the Lord. Get involved and be committed. You can neutralize and cancel curses by serving the Lord.

“If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.” Job 36:11 (KJV)

“For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.” Hebrews 6:10 (KJV)

Sincerely speaking, if you are truly born again, there is no way your impact will not be felt in the church. No excuse is tenable for not serving the Lord. As this new year has just begun, evaluate your past commitments and make the right changes. Be consistent and committed; God will surely reward you. Soul winning is the heartbeat of God, get involved. God will speak to you in the place of service, and you cannot hear God and remain the same.

May you be passionate about serving God in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, lay Your hand upon me and use me for Your glory in Jesus name.

Put your trust in the Lord

“Some trust in chariots, and some in horses: but we will remember the name of the Lord our God. They are brought down and fallen: but we are risen, and stand upright.” Psalms 20:7-8 (KJV)

People on earth put their trust in something. You must put your trust in the Lord. Even if you have chariots and horses, don’t put your trust in them; put your trust in the Lord. If you have nothing, put your trust in the Lord. The future is for those whose trust is in the Lord. Winning any battle is determined more by strategy than weapons. If you put your trust in the Lord, He will give you the strategy to win, whether you have the weapon or not.

“They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever. As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.” Psalms 125:1-2 (KJV)

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6(KJV)

David always asked God what to do in all his battles, so he never lost any. Even with a sling and stones, he defeated Goliath, who was a giant and armed to the teeth. I don’t know which battle you are facing right now, put your trust in the Lord, and your victory is guaranteed. If you trust the Lord, you will ask Him what to do, and you will do what He tells you to do.

May you put your trust in the Lord.

Prayer for today: Oh God, I trust in You, guide and direct me every day this year in Jesus name.

God has a vision for you

“I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.” Habakkuk 2:1 (KJV)

God has a vision for you. It may come as a word, but you will see it as a picture in your mind. This is the future that God has for you. This is what you should run with. This is what should become the theme of your life. You certainly have been running with something. The question is, "Is it a God-given vision or your self-formulated vision?" If you run with a God-given vision, you cannot waste your destiny.

“Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:” Acts 26:19 (KJV)

“Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:” Genesis 12:1(KJV)

Saul, who later became Paul, was running with his own vision until he got an heavenly vision from God. Your vision will make something of you. Saul’s own vision made him a murderer of Christians; God-given vision made him a preacher of the gospel. What has happened in the past does not matter if only you will seek God for the vision He has for you.

May you receive an heavenly vision, in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, reveal to me Your vision for my life in Jesus name.

What do you see?

“Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree. Then said the Lord unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.” Jeremiah 1:11-12 (KJV)

What the physical eyes can see is not all that is available to see. There are other eyes too: the eyes of your mind and the eyes of your spirit. These are the eyes that determine your fate and your faith. These are the eyes that see opportunities. When you have understanding, you see differently. When you have a revelation, your decisions and actions change. I pray for you that the eyes of understanding be enlightened, in Jesus name.

"And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.  And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.” 1 Kings 6:16-17 (KJV)

“And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.” Genesis 21:19 (KJV)

If you can see a solution, what you call a challenge will no longer be a challenge. If you can see differently, what is making you afraid will no longer cause you fear. It is important for you to seek to see differently and correctly. I believe this can happen if you can either “pray through” or "think through” a situation. Building your mental and spiritual capacity is key.

May you see opportunities early this year, in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, open my eyes to see correctly in Jesus name.

What is your daily routine?

“See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” Ephesians 5:15-16 (KJV)

A kingdom-minded daily routine is what you need to maintain a healthy, successful, and prosperous life. You cannot change your life without changing your daily routine. Do you know how much time you spend daily with God? Do you know how much time you spend daily on personal development? Reading books, watching important videos, or listening to relevant audio? Do you know how much time you spend taking daily actions toward your important goals? If you are tired of your present level, you must examine your daily routines and make the right and appropriate changes.

“And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read.” Luke 4:16 (KJV)

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33 (KJV)

Actually, your daily routine reveals what you are seeking. Your daily routine also reveals whether you are wise with time or not. Time is God’s greatest investment in you; you cannot afford to waste it. Great people in the Bible had a God-centered and personal-growth-focused daily routine. Even our Lord Jesus has a daily routine.

May you walk as wise in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, give me the wisdom to organize myself daily in Jesus name.

Build your faith

“But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,” Jude 1:20 (KJV)

Your faith is the determinant of your life as a Christian. It determines what you can possess and what you can reject. The quality of your life is determined by the level of your faith. The power of a Christian is measured by the level of his or her faith. When you build your faith, you build your life. Every Christian has a measure of faith, but the faith must grow and be built to become stronger and higher. You must invest in building your faith in this new year to experience more of God.

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 11:6 (KJV)

“For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” Romans 1:17 (KJV)

If you seek God, He will reward you with His kind of faith. To seek God is to make fellowship with Him first thing in your life. It also means spending both quantity and quality time with Him. Don’t neglect personal worship, meditation on the scriptures, praying in the Holy Ghost, and listening to God. These are simple, but they are determinants of whether you will have the faith to live as a Christian or not.

May your faith be built in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, give me more measure of Your faith in Jesus name.

Engage the Holy Ghost

“And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.” Luke 1:35 (KJV)

What you are not naturally capable of doing, you will be able to do if you engage the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost coming upon you is God’s special strength coming upon you to get unusual results. You will get God's kind of results if the Holy Ghost comes upon you. Results like a virgin conceiving to give birth to the Son of God and a man outrunning a chariot are possible only when you engage the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost will enlarge both your intellectual capacity and human composition to give you supernatural results.

“Then the Lord gave special strength to Elijah. He tucked his cloak into his belt[a] and ran ahead of Ahab’s chariot all the way to the entrance of Jezreel.” 1 kings 18:46 (NLT)

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8 (NLT)

Your results will appear to all and can no longer be hidden, if you engage the Holy Ghost and He comes upon you. This is applicable to everyone, whether you are a minister of the gospel, a businessperson, or a career person. If you have failed before, engage the Holy Ghost to experience a turnaround breakthrough and supernatural results (Luke 5:5-6). If you want better and unusual results than your previous results, engage the Holy Ghost.

May you engage the Holy Ghost in your life in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, anoint me with the Holy Ghost, give me wisdom and power, and surround me with Your favor in Jesus name.

Take heed to instructions

“Whoever gives heed to instruction prospers, and blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord.” Proverbs 16:20 (NIV)

Take heed to instructions from the Lord and from the people that have your interests at heart. This is the secret to divine blessing and prosperity. Life is hard for those who transgress instructions. It is difficult to pastor those who hate instructions; they are goats, not sheep. Instructions are designed to save you from destruction. When you obey God’s instructions, you are doing your destiny a great favor. Divine empowerment and speed are for those who take heed of divine instructions.

“Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard.” Proverbs 13:15 (KJV)

“If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.” Job 36:11

One of the ways that God will answer your prayers is by giving you instructions. Obeying an instruction is an indication of trust in the person giving the instruction. If you trust the Lord, you will obey Him. If you obey the Lord, you will be unshakable in every situation, and you will spend your days in prosperity. Obeying scriptural instruction is basic to your relationship with God. Study the Bible and obey its instruction and you will be wise in all affairs of life (Joshua 1:8).

May you always receive instructions from God in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, help me to always take heed to Your instructions in Jesus name.

Prevailing prayer 2

“Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.  Elias was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit.” James 5:16-18

Prevailing prayer requires passion, fervency, persistence, and consistency. Prevailing prayer does not doubt and does not take "no" for an answer. Prevailing prayer is effective. Prevailing prayer avails much. Prevailing prayer is praying until something happens. For us to understand prevailing prayer, we need to understand how Elijah prayed. He stood in the presence of God until He had power with God and men. He prayed seven times until there was an abundance of rain.

“And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the Lord God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.” 1 kings 17:1

“So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees, And said to his servant, Go up now, look toward the sea. And he went up, and looked, and said, There is nothing. And he said, Go again seven times.” 1 kings 18:42-43

If you desire power with God and men, you must prevail in prayer. If you want to be in charge of situations and not have situations in charge of you, you must prevail in prayer. A desperate situation requires desperate measures. Prevailing prayer is the answer to a desperate situation. Prevailing prayer changes things and situations. You must prevail in prayer for this year in this first month.

As you pray, your situation is changing for good in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, make this year the best year I have ever seen in Jesus name.

Prevailing prayer 1

“For Judah prevailed above his brethren, and of him came the chief ruler; but the birthright was Joseph's:)” 1 Chronicles 5:2

The scepter belongs to those who prevail, not those who have birthrights. That is why you must prevail with God and with men if you want to enjoy the promises. When you prevail in prayer, you have the power to obtain the promises. Jacob was blessed years before he entered the reality of the blessing. Until he prevailed in prayer, he was living as if he had not been blessed. The year 2023 is loaded with the promises and blessings of God, but you need to prevail in prayer to possess them.

“And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.” Luke 24:49

“And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.” Genesis 32:28

According to the scripture, many things are yours as a Christian. If you want to enjoy what God has written about you, you must prevail in prayer. Reuben was supposed to have the birthright, but he lost it to iniquity because he slept with his father’s wife (1 Chronicle 5:1). Joseph got the birthright, but he could not enforce it, he did not prevail. However, Judah prevailed and, having the reality of the birthright, became the chief ruler.

May you prevail in prayer in Jesus name.

Prayer for todayOh God empower me to prevail with You and with men in Jesus name.

Oh God show me something

“I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.” Habakkuk 2:1-2

If you desire a change in your life, you must ask God to show you something.  What you could see in the past reflected both your status and levels in life. What you could see is a limitation to the height you can attain in life and destiny. You cannot pursue what you have not seen. What you see determines what you will run with. You must see things differently this year to get different and better results. If you get a revelation from God, your life can never remain the same.

“Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:” Genesis 12:1

“Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:” Acts 26:19

Two major landmark breakthroughs in the bible were Abraham and Paul. God showed both of them something to change their lives. Both of them also experienced a change of name. Abraham pioneered the covenant with God through faith while Paul brought light to the Gospel of Christ. You can read about the previous lives of Abram in Genesis 11:26-32 and Saul from Acts 7-9. It is high time God revealed something new to you. Your life must not remain the same.

May you get a revelation from God in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, show me something that will change my life and destiny in Jesus name.

Pray for mercy

“O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.” Psalm 90:14

Mercy must accompany you throughout the journey of this year and every day of your life. When you have mercy on your side, you will have help to deal with the challenges of life. Life is full of difficulties, but you will always have cause to rejoice and be glad if mercy is speaking for you. As the year has just started, ask that mercy will speak for you every day this year. You will always have physical and spiritual support if mercy is speaking for you. We all need God’s mercy to scale the hurdles of life.

“So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.” Romans 9:16

“Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.” Psalm 102:13 says

Mercy opens doors and secures access to breakthrough.  When mercy appears, judgment is suspended because mercy rejoices over judgment (James 2:13). Mercy makes your way to please the Lord. Mercy makes your enemy be at peace with you. Mercy is what make your “willing” and your “running” to bring results. When you obtain the mercy of God, He will fight against your enemy. If you desire mercy, show mercy to others (Matthew 5:6) and ask God to have mercy on you (Mark 10:47).

May you obtain God’s mercy earlier this year, so that every day of the year will be filled with rejoicing and gladness in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, satisfy me early with your mercy this year in Jesus name.

Declare your expectation

“And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain.” 1 Kings 18:41

Elijah declared that there was a sound of abundance of rain to Ahab, who had not seen rain for the past three and a half years. Your declaration is the beginning of the change you desire. If you are anointed and you know it, you cannot speak anyhow. Even if what you are expecting has never happened to you before, your miracle begins if you declare it. If you cannot say it, you have not believed it. If you have not believed it, you cannot successfully pray about it. Elijah declared it and prayed until it happened.

“For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” Mark 11:23-24.

This story about Elijah has revealed to us the divine strategy to change things and make things happen. Say it until you believe it, and then pray it until you see. Even if it looks impossible, you can break through by declaring it. If you don’t have a word from the Lord for it, meditate on the scriptures until you do. Then declare the word and pray the word until you have your testimony.

You will have your miracle in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, let my declaration and my prayer manifest in Jesus name.

Get anointed afresh

“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” Acts 10:38

If you desire greater and better results this new year, you must be anointed afresh. Your head must not lack oil, and your garment must be white. The anointing will give you power, preserve you, break your yoke, and lift your burden. Without a fresh anointing, life is hard and stressful. You must thirst and hunger for the anointing of the Holy Ghost upon your life. The anointing is your defense against the adversary and the proof of God’s presence in your life. Spend time with God until you are anointed and you know it.

“Let thy garments be always white; and let thy head lack no ointment.” Ecclesiastes 9:8

“And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.” Rev 5:10

As far as God is concerned, we are His kings and priests who should reign on earth. We can only take on this role if we are anointed. It is the anointing that will bring us into the reality of our kingship and priesthood. If you don’t look like it yet, don’t worry; get anointed. Even Jesus was an ordinary carpenter until He was anointed.

May you be anointed by God in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, anoint me with the Holy Ghost and with power in Jesus name.

Divine empowerment and speed

“And the hand of the Lord was on Elijah; and he girded up his loins, and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.” 1 kings 18:46

Welcome to the new year 2023. The word of the Lord to us as a ministry is 1 Kings 18:46. Our strength and power shall be in the hand of the Lord, resulting in divine speed. This is what Isaiah called, “the Spirit from on high,” and our Lord Jesus called this experience, “the Holy Ghost coming upon you.” This is what turns a wilderness into a fruitful field, in other words, this is what will change your story. This is what changes the fruitful field into a forest, which means that even if you have been doing well before, you will do better and get greater and more remarkable results.

“Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.” Isaiah 32:15

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth:” Acts 1:8

What is your responsibility in this prophetic word? Believe it, and confidently ask that the hand of the Lord come upon you. Make your fellowship with the Holy Spirit your priority and expect Him to speak to you. Desire earnestly the anointing of the Holy Spirit and leave sin alone. I believe strongly that God will reveal things to you this year that will help you get supernatural results.

This year shall be the best year you have ever seen in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Let the hand of the Lord be upon me and let the Holy Spirit possess me in Jesus name.
