The power of a believing Christian

“Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” Mark 9:23

The title of my message this morning seems contradictory. This is because you must at least be a believer in Jesus Christ before you can be a Christian. But the attitude of many Christians is that they only believe God for their salvation.  However, the Bible teaches that our beliefs affect all areas of our lives. In actual fact, ALL THINGS are possible to him that believes. No matter how poor you are presently, you can become prosperous if you believe. No matter how sick you are, you can become healthy if you believe. Your life can turn around if you believe, no matter what the situation is right now.

“And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.” Mark 9:24

“Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.” Matthew 9:29

As a Christian, you are living what you believe. If you don’t like your present life, you must check what you believe and start believing right. Another issue about this message is that every believer in something is a doubter of the opposite. If you believe in prosperity, you are a doubter of poverty and vice versa. A Christian must doubt satan and his work, and believe God and His work to experience positive results in his or her life. May you have breakthrough in your life this week in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God I believe in Your power to change my life, help my unbelief in Jesus name.

Salvation: Lord Jesus, I believe in the forgiveness of sin and in the redemption from the power of darkness through your blood. I confess you as my Savior and Lord.  I invite you into my life to save my soul. Holy Spirit, come into my heart and make me what you want me to be. Thank you Lord for saving me in Jesus name.

The powers of your mind

“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he…...” Proverbs 23:7a

One major power of the bible is its ability to change the mind of men in order to change their lives.  When you meditate on the scriptures, your mind changes from negative to positive and so your life. Actually, if you build a strong mind based on the bible, you can direct your thoughts, control your emotions, and ordain your own destiny. You can use the powers of your mind to choose, plan, and control your future. A sound mind is a sound life.

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:2

“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7

When the word of God fills your mind, it will enable the powers of your mind to shape your life in the will of God. You will be able to think, plan, and act in accordance to the will of God for your life. This will help you to enjoy a peaceful and prosperous life (Joshua 1:8; Phi 4:7). The main attack of the enemy is in the mind of men (2 Cor 4:4, 2 Cor 10:5). He knew that if he had taken over a man’s mind, he had taken over his life and he could direct it away from the blessings of God. For unbelievers, he tried to block their minds from the Gospel, and for believers, he tried to direct their mind from enjoying the fullness of God’s blessings. May the word of God fill your mind, may you become what God wants you to be in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God direct my thoughts and my mind to enjoy your full blessings in my life in Jesus name.

Celebrate God’s faithfulness

“It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.” Lamentations 3:22

The enemy expected us to be consumed, but God has kept us alive and on top of all situations. We have witnessed God’s timely provisions and protections. God’s faithfulness exceeds our own faithfulness. His steadfast love never ceases, His faithfulness does not come to an end.  Let us celebrate Him who has given us the gift of life and has sustained us in times of trouble.

“Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.” Psalms 34:19

“Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” Romans 8:37

Many situations that we passed through were beyond our strength and wisdom. But God was there for us. You may be in such a situation right now, celebrate His faithfulness and connect to His deliverance grace and power. God’s presence is where He is celebrated, and His presence is all that you need to turn any situation around for good.

Prayer for today: I worship You Oh God and I honour You for Your faithfulness in my life in Jesus name.

Wind of change

“And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.” Mark 10:49

The wind of change brings the change your heart desires. This wind cannot blow on you and your situation remains the same. The wind is powered by an encounter with Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit. He is called the unchangeable changer. I am glad to announce to you that the wind is coming upon you right now, and every situation that has brought you sadness will turn to joy in the name of Jesus. Bartimeus had been a blind man sitting on the roadside to beg. When he became aware that Jesus was passing, he recognized the fact that the wind of change was blowing. He aggressively connected to the wind and experienced a change he had desired for many years.

“Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee:” Jeremiah 32:17

“And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them.” Exodus 2:24-25

When Israel cried unto God, God remembered the covenant with Abraham, heard them, and secured their redemption from all their afflictions. Beloved, nothing is too hard for God. God’s manifestation in this dispensation is through His Son and His Holy Spirit. As a born again Christian, if you are, you have the fullness of God in Christ through the Holy Spirit. You are in a better covenant with God. May you experience deliverance, healing, and prosperity in the name of Jesus. Let the wind of change blow on you.

Prayer for today: Oh God, blow the wind of change over my situation right now in Jesus name.

It can be uprooted

“But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.” Matthew 15:13

You are God’s own child because you are born of God. If you believe this, then you cannot carry any seed or plant which is not of God. If God did not plant it, it can be uprooted. Sickness is not of God. Poverty is not of God. The limitation is not of God. Shame and reproach are not of God. Curses and evil dedications are not of God. All these and situations of similar characteristics are not of God and can be uprooted. Speak to them to be uprooted from your life in the name of Jesus.

“…….For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” 1 John 3:8b

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” John 10:10

Beloved, what the enemy did in your life can be undone. Your relationship with the Lord positions you to uproot and destroy the work of satan in your life and in the lives of others. I am in agreement with you right now that every plantation of the enemy in your life be uprooted in Jesus name. Be delivered, be healed, and be blessed in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, release your fire into my life to destroy every work of the enemy in Jesus name.

There is healing for you

“Is there no balm in Gilead; is there no physician there? why then is not the health of the daughter of my people recovered?” Jeremiah 8:22

There is a balm in Gilead and there is a physician there, so there is healing for you. Our great physician is Jesus Christ. Our balm today is the anointing of the Holy Spirit. You cannot be in contact with them and your health not recovered. It does not matter the human or doctor’s description of the sickness, I stand in agreement with you for your healing right now in Jesus name. Let the anointing of the Holy Spirit rest upon you and let the yoke of infirmity be broken in Jesus name.

“And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.” Matthew 8:3

“Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.” 1 Peter 2:24

God did not put sickness on you, satan did. It is not God’s will for you to remain sick. In fact, it is His will to heal you. Sin in any form might have opened the door for the sickness to come in but Jesus is the solution to both the sin and the sickness. He took the stripes for our healings. He came to destroy the work of satan. He came to give us life instead of death. I decree total recovery from any form of sickness for you in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Heal me, LORD, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise in Jesus name.

I shall not die

“I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord.” Psalm 118:17

You shall not die before your time. The number of your days the Lord shall fulfill. Death is the greatest threat to destiny. This is because there is hope only for those that are joined to the living. Only someone who is alive can turn his or her life around. Your redemption takes care of untimely death, so you can declare I shall not die.  Death has been swallowed in victory.

“I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction: repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.” Hosea 13:14

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.” Psalm 23:4

Death is a personality, grave is a personality. Both of them are weapons in the hand of the arch-enemy, satan. But God has dealt with them in our redemption. Jesus broke the power of death and grave over our lives. You can declare that death I bind you, grave I bind you and I break your power over my life. If you are sick, this sickness is not unto death. The power of God shall heal you. You shall live and not die in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I shall see the end of this year hale and hearty in Jesus name.

The world of words

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.” John 1:1-3

Your world depends significantly on the words you are hearing, reading, speaking, and acting on. Words are information. Words are a revelation. Words are light. Words are food. Words are power. Words can heal and can kill. Words can bring a person down and can lift a person up. Words can inform and can deform.

If a man is doing evil, he heard some words. If a man is changing lives, he also has heard a word. Your world is a product of the word you have received, believed, and acted upon. Words are blessings, words are curses. Words are prophecies, both the lies and the truth. If you want to shape your world you must choose your words.

“So I prophesied as I was commanded: and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and behold a shaking, and the bones came together, bone to his bone.” Ezekiel 37:7

“And when we were all fallen to the earth, I heard a voice speaking unto me, and saying in the Hebrew tongue, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me? it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.” Acts 26:14

Sources of the words include your immediate family, your friends, the school you attend, the church you attend, the books you read, the television, radio, internet, phone, and others. You can choose the word in your life by controlling the access to these sources in your life. You did not choose your family but yet you can control their access into your life. Now hear this if your world is not what you expect it to be, you must check the word you are hearing, reading, speaking, and acting upon. May your world be filled with anointed words, words of blessing, and revelation in Jesus name. The greatest word you can hear for your destiny is a word from the Lord. May you hear God today in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, rid me, and deliver me from the hand of strange children, whose mouth speaks vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood in Jesus name.

All of you, Lord

“I am the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.” Psalms 81:10

The secret key to unlimited success is your access to all of the Lord’s. The more of God in you, the more of His work through you. If you desire more of Him, you shall have Him. He said you should open your mouth wide for Him to fill it. You need to forget about your strength and weakness, and open yourself to the fullness of His strength. Whether for the secular or for the spiritual, God’s grace is available for you to do exploit.

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31

“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Cor 12:9

How far has your own strength carried you? You limit yourself when you limit your access to His grace. Learn from the eagle which positions itself for the wind to carry it. Learn also from the moon which positions itself to receive light from the sun. You can see greater things than these if you would desire more of God in your life. May the fullness of God come to you in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, fill me with your grace and power in the name of Jesus.

Go the extra mile

“And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.” Matthew 5:41

Be willing to put in more effort than others in whatever you do. Go the extra mile in prayer, in studying, in thinking, in planning, and in taking actions. This is what separates a man from the crowd. Most people are comfortable with the normal. But if you are willing to see results that no man has seen, you must be willing to do what no man has done. Only a few are willing to go through the narrow way that leads to breakthroughs.

“Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” Matthew 7:14

“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;” Colossians 3:23

Daniel was one of the men that stood out in destiny. He prayed three times a day and consistently all the days of his life. Most people would be tired and give up quickly. Paul said, “I labored more abundantly than all by the grace given unto me.” We have all be given the grace to go the extra mile, this should not be taken for granted. We must put the grace to work. May you begin to experience success where you have failed in the past in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, take me into the greater height that my heart desires in the name of Jesus.

You can kill this goliath!

“And it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came, and drew nigh to meet David, that David hastened, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine.” 1 Samuel 17:48

The size of your dreams or visions notwithstanding, you can get it done. Take the first step and then the next, before you know it, you will get there. Someone said it does not take too much courage to take the first step and I agree with her. Find at least a reason why it can be done rather than many reasons why it cannot be done.

“Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:  But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.” Acts 26:19-20

“And a certain man found him, and, behold, he was wandering in the field: and the man asked him, saying, What seekest thou?” Genesis 37:15

David went after goliath immediately he decided that was what he wanted to do. No one could talk him out of it, not even the size of goliath. Stop giving excuses. Make up your mind. It is difficult to stop a man whose mind is made up. Paul said to Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto heavenly vision, I started acting to fulfil it immediately. Beloved, what are you waiting for? You can kill this giant! Start taking the necessary step in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, help me to execute the vision you have put in my heart in the name of Jesus.

Be committed to..

“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,” Philippians 3:13

Be committed to pursuing a dream, an idea, a vision, or a goal for an exciting life. If you have not established what you really want to commit your life to, sit down and decide on this. If you have self-motivation but don’t have a definite purpose, you may be frustrated. You can ask God to give you an idea, by prayer, meditation on God’s word, and thinking. You can also set a challenging goal for yourself and determine what to do to achieve it.

“And as thy servant was busy here and there, he was gone. And the king of Israel said unto him, So shall thy judgment be; thyself hast decided it.” 1 Kings 20:40

“And a certain man found him, and, behold, he was wandering in the field: and the man asked him, saying, What seekest thou?” Genesis 37:15

It takes an investment of time and concentration to get an idea or to set a worthwhile goal. This is where a lot of people miss it. They think they can be running around in a noisy environment and decide what they will commit their lives to. Beloved, you will definitely need time alone with yourself, with God, and with useful materials to read and study. May you have a direction for your destiny in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, give me the idea for me to rule my own world in the name of Jesus.

Self-motivation

“And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.” 1 Samuel 30:6

Your miracle begins with self-motivation. Self-motivation will enable you to decide to bring the best out of yourself and out of the situation you have found yourself in. Self-motivation is an encouragement of yourself to turn things around no matter the prevailing situation. Self-motivation will empower you to activate the “god” in you and beat all odds to become what God wants you to be. Self-motivation will enable you to see the light in the thick darkness. If you are not defeated within, you cannot be defeated without. Self-motivation will give you victory from within.

“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.” John 14:1

“I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,” Luke 15:18

One of the greatest mistakes any man can make is to give up on himself or herself. There is nothing you are going through right now that somebody has not overcome before. Read motivational books, study the bible, and listen to motivational messages. If you are going to see new results, you must be motivated. There is light at the end of the tunnel, but you can only see it if you are motivated to go through. Be self-motivated in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, show me a glorious future in the midst of adversity in the name of Jesus.

When prayer is enough

“Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.,” Hebrews 12:12-13

Don't let anyone deceive you, the evidence that prayer is enough is results. You have not actually prayed too much if you have not experienced the change you desire.  Prayer must be a significant part of our lives. Prayer must not be underrated. If you are through with prayer you are through with living. Pray until something happens. When something happens, pray until great things happen.

“And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;” Luke 18:1

“Pray without ceasing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:17

The place where sadness is turned to joy, a disappointment to an appointment, depression to upliftment, weakness to strength, is the place of prayer. The place of prayer is where you receive help when you have no man. If the enemy has not shut your mouth in prayer, he cannot have the final say over your life. I say to you this morning, pray, pray, pray again, and again pray, then your joy shall be full.

Prayer for today: Oh God hear my cry and let me receive a gladness of heart in the name of Jesus.

Get up and get going

“I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,” Luke 15:18

Get up from the past failures, get up from the past setbacks, and get going. Failure is not final. The setback is just part of the story, it is not the story. The real story is that you get to your destination despite all odds. The lockdown period might have dealt with you negatively, don’t stay in that negative experience. Arise, shake off the dust and go forward.

“And there came thither certain Jews from Antioch and Iconium, who persuaded the people, and having stoned Paul, drew him out of the city, supposing he had been dead. Howbeit, as the disciples stood round about him, he rose up, and came into the city: and the next day he departed with Barnabas to Derbe.” Acts 14:19-20

“Shake thyself from the dust; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem: loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion.” Isiah 52:2

You might have been battered and shattered by the past experience but the good news is that you are still alive. There is a glorious future ahead of you. To him that is joined to the living there is hope, a living dog is better than a dead lion. You are going to decide your destination, find out what you need to do to get there, ask God to help you, and start doing something about your decision. I see God lifting you beyond your imagination in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God hold me in your everlasting arms and let me turn this dust to gold in the name of Jesus.

You are not hopeless

“To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:” Colossians 1:27

You cannot have Christ and be hopeless. I don’t know how you are feeling or what you are going through, but what I know is that you are not hopeless, your situation is not hopeless. What you are going through is subject to change. Perhaps you don’t know what to do or you have tried many times and fail. This does not mean that you are hopeless. It actually means that there is information you need that you have not found. I am here to tell you that if you tune in to Jesus Christ in you, you will find the answer. Your shame shall turn to glory.

“They looked to Him and were radiant; their faces shall never blush for shame or be confused.” Psalms 34:5

“For there is hope for a tree if it is cut down, that it will sprout again and that the tender shoots of it will not cease.” Job 14:7

Several years ago, when I just came out of the University and was looking for a job. The situation seemed hopeless. I did not have anything, I was hungry, battered, and naked. But I turned to the Lord. I waited on Him until He answered me. I got two breakthrough jobs in a single month. I don’t know your situation, is it joblessness? is it bareness? Is it poverty? Is it a sickness? Or a relationship problem? Jesus has an answer for you. Take your burden to His cross and leave it there. Wait patiently on Him and believe that He can bring glory out of your shame. I see God changing your situation in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God visit me and change my story in the name of Jesus.

God’s factor in your recovery

“And David enquired at the Lord, saying, Shall I pursue after this troop? shall I overtake them? And he answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all.” 1 Samuel 30:8

I challenge you to agree with God this morning and go ahead to recover all that the enemy stole from you. God is saying to you that you shall surely recover all. Stop crying about your situation, satan is the thief, go after him and take all that he took from you in the name of Jesus. You can recover your health. You can recover your wealth. You can recover your lost years. You can recover your lost destiny relationship. Surely, you can recover all.

“For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the Lord; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.” Jeremiah 30:17

“And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you.” Joel 2:25

You know what you are going to do right now, you are going to bind the devil and command him to take his hands off whatever that belongs to you. You are going to do it with boldness and confidence because that is the will of God for you. And you are going to recover all in the name of Jesus. I see you taking back what the enemy stole from you in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I break the power of the devil over what belongs to me and I take them back in the name of Jesus.

Prayer of consecration

“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing:” John 15:5

Consecration is not for bishops or pastors only, it is for all Christians. This is the secret of bearing fruits in life and destiny. This is the secret of victory over foundational battles. Consecrate yourself wholly unto God and His divine purpose for your life. You are here on earth for a specific purpose. God has an assignment for you. Never separate anything you do from God. Let God have complete ownership of your life.  Let me share with you two prayer points to consecrate yourself unto God.

“And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the Lord, Israel is my son, even my firstborn: And I say unto thee, Let my son go, that he may serve me: and if thou refuse to let him go, behold, I will slay thy son, even thy firstborn.” Exodus 4:22-23

“And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.” Matthew 3:17

The first is that you should ask God to do whatever He likes with your life (Jeremiah 51:20). The second is that you should ask the Holy Spirit to possess you (Act 10:38). These are the prayers that turn you to God’s property and make your issues God’s. These are the prayers that when answered put you totally as God’s instrument on earth, no matter your job or career. These are the prayers that make you dangerous to the enemies and the kingdom of darkness. Be bold to pray these prayers and receive your destiny breakthrough.

Prayer for today: O God consecrate me unto You in Jesus name.

Maintain a positive attitude

“Run now, I pray thee, to meet her, and say unto her, Is it well with thee? is it well with thy husband? is it well with the child? And she answered, It is well:” 2 Kings 4:26

Your attitude matters in the midst of adversity. A positive attitude will help you to cut the adversity short and to be composed to find an answer quickly. We are emotional beings and we tend to be carried away by wrong thinking and wrong speeches when the situation is contrary. The woman in our text whose only son had died answered the servant of Elisha, “It is well.” She maintained a positive attitude and it eventually became well with her and her son.

“And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish? And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.” Mark 4:38-39

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Philippians 4:8

Your attitude is reflected in what you think, say, or do in any situation. The Bible encourages us to speak faith-filled words and to think positively in every situation we find ourselves. If we do so, we will be able to do what is necessary to be done to conquer the situation. May your adversity turn to advancement in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: O God arise and kill the adversity in my life in Jesus name.

Rejoice always

“Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.” Philippians 4:4

To rejoice means to feel or show great joy or delight. The basis of your rejoicing is the Lord. It is not about what you have or do not have. It is not about what you are experiencing. It is about the Lord.  Never surrender your joy to any situation, any circumstance or any person. Make the Lord the basis of your joy, then you can rejoice always. This is because any situation can change, but the Lord is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Make a decision to rejoice always because you are the Lord’s and He can take care of any situation that is contrary to your joy.

“Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.” Psalm 43:5

“Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10

There are a few other reasons why you should rejoice always. If you have hope in God, you should rejoice always. Anything that wants to steal your joy is also trying to steal your strength. It is more healthy to be joyful than to be sad. If you rejoice always you can be motivated to see the change you desire. May the spirit of joy fill your heart no matter what you are passing through in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: O God fill my heart with your joy every day in Jesus name.

If you desire mercy…

“Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.” Mathew 5:7

If you desire mercy, sow seeds of mercy. Mercy is a harvest, it is the result you get for being merciful. Even at your own level, be merciful to someone. The truth is that mercy must be in place for a man to experience breakthroughs. It is important to learn to show mercy to someone. If you are full of mercy you cannot live without enjoying mercy. If you want others to show you mercy, you must show mercy to people. Have you ever thought of how many people would run around for you if you need help?  If you have not shown mercy and have not been available to help others, you may be alone when you need people.

“The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh.” Proverbs 11:17

“The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.” Proverbs 11:25,

One way to show mercy is your response to the needy, the orphans, and the widows. If you have such around you, it gives you a great land of opportunity to sow your seeds of mercy for a timely harvest of mercy in your life.  Also, be there for the people around you. Give a helping hand. Be involved in the church you attend. No matter how self-sufficient or great you think you are, you may need the mercy of someone someday. At such time, your seed of mercy will count. May you receive mercy in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: O God help me to sow the seeds of mercy in Jesus name.
