This is your time!

“For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.” Isaiah 60:2.

Darkness provides light the opportunity to shine. The world is in gross darkness and so provides opportunity for the carrier of light to shine. The wisdom of this world cannot handle the trouble that is in this present perverse world. The world and its wisdom succeeded in providing technological advancement but have not been able to provide solution for diseases, poverty and sin that is eating the world away. So the world is earnestly seeking for your manifestation because you carry the light and therefore you are the solution to her problems. It is your time, it is time for you to activate the light in you and let it shine. Spend time with God, ask Him for His specific word for you on your assignment, ask for access into His secrets and act on His instructions.

What to do when you are down!

“I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” John 14:18

Beloved, I don’t care to know what you are going through but I care to announce to you that Jesus will come to you and comfort you. So when you are down do these two things:
1.      Encourage yourself in the Lord: The devil cannot steal your strength if he has not succeeded in stealing your joy. When David and his men were down in 1Samuel 30, nothing changed when they cried till they had no strength in them. But their miracle started when David encouraged himself in the Lord.
2.      Seek the face of the Lord: God knows the answer and He has assured us that we will find him if we seek him with the whole of our hearts. David enquired of the Lord and got the answer. You don’t have to be seeking men, all you have to do is to seek God and He will answer you. He said, “And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.”

I decree you are lifted in Jesus name.

The Secret of True Champions

“Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God.” Daniel 6:5

The secret of true champions is that they are committed to the law of their God in all situations.

The enemies of Daniel found him faultless! They decided to plot against him by influencing the King to promulgate a decree that no man should pray to any other god except the king, otherwise the person would be thrown into the Lions’ den. They invoked a death threat against Daniel to prevent him from exercising his secret. Daniel refused, he kept praying. As a result he maintained his championship: he went to Lions’ den and came back alive but his enemies and their families were swallowed up. Joseph story is similar. He told Potiphar’s wife, “how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?” Although he went to prison but the prison was closer to the throne than Potiphar’s house. He became Egypt Prime Minister two years later.

David said, “A true champion’s delight is in the law of his God” Psalm 1:2 paraphrased. Beloved I don’t care how wealthy you are or what position you hold in the church, if you are not committed to the Law of God, you are not a true champion!! But the good news is that you can begin again. God can give you a new beginning and you can walk in his ways and laws. You can repent and ask God to help you.

I ask the light of God to shine on your path in Jesus name.

Give thanks

Give thanks
“In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:18

Beloved, when last did you spend concrete time thanking God? It is time to do it! And if you have been doing it, it is time to give more time for thanksgiving. Did you say, “Pastor I am still believing God for some things”? Yes, you need to give thanks to God for what He has done and for what He will yet do. The fact that you are reading this article is an indication that God is good to you.

Devil is on rampage using people to destroy themselves and others but God has kept you from evil. In Luke 13:1,2, and 4, the Bible says, “There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things?....... Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem?”

You and I are enjoying God’s mercy every day and what can we do but to thank him. Apart from this thanksgiving give you access into God’s gate. Psalm 100:4.

Beloved, let your thanksgiving be more than your request.

How to beat your adversary!

“For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist. “Luke 21:15

You need two weapons to beat your adversary, a mouth and wisdom. You can get both from God.

If you keep quiet in the presence of your adversary, you are in trouble. But when you speak, you must speak right. David defeated Goliath first by speaking against him 1Samuel 17:45-47; Moses spoke against the enemy first at the red sea. Secondly, you need to know what action to take and do it to beat your adversary; that is wisdom. David needed just the sling and the stone. Moses needed just the rod. Both of them acted the wisdom of God and got the adversary beaten.

Are you being confronted by an adversary, ask God for a mouth and wisdom to beat him.

At the edge of breakthrough?(2)

“And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.” Acts 10:4

You can cross every barrier and enforce your breakthrough. The bible revealed what to do to enforce your breakthrough: these are fasting, passionate prayer and dangerous giving.

Cornelius enforced his breakthrough through prayer and giving according to our text. Esther enforced her breakthrough when she and the Jews fasted; she got favour with the king. The widow of Zarephath got her breakthrough through dangerous giving; she and her household survived the famine. Jesus told us in Mathew 6 about combining giving, fasting and praying to get our breakthroughs.

The secret of effective use of these weapons is focus. Determine first your prayer request; it is better if it can be expressed in a single prayer request. Pray that single prayer points throughout your period of fasting and be passionate about it; then go and sow sacrificial seed towards the breakthrough.

I decree your breakthrough in Jesus name.

At the edge of breakthrough?(1)

“And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward: But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.” Exodus 14:15-16

Are you at the edge of a breakthrough and there seem to be a difficult barrier to cross? Cry unto God and ask Him what you should do. Barriers always come down, when you act on simple instructions from God.

Moses and the children were at the red sea after the ten manifestations of God in Egypt to secure their deliverance. They were at the edge of their final breakthrough into the promised land. The red sea looked like a barrier impossible to cross but Moses cried unto God. God told him to take a simple and unbelievable step: stretch the rod over the sea and divide it. If Moses knew it was going to be that simple he would not have cried unto God. Beloved, there is a simple step to take and that barrier will come down, ask God! You remember the groom at the marriage of Cana of Galilee got his breakthrough when his people filled the pots with water while Peter got his own breakthrough by launching into the deep even in the day light.

Receive an instruction from the Lord that will ensure your breakthrough in Jesus name.

How to win every battle

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Joshua 1:8

You would have noticed that if you have something worthwhile doing, you must prepare for battle. The enemy is against you but God is for you. You must realize that victory is yours and always fight from the mentality of a victor. However the bible text above gives us the secrets to win any battle at all times. The secrets are:
  1. Find a word for the battle. “……he found the place where it was written,” Luke 4:17
  2. Speak the word. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith” Mark 11:23
  3. Think the word. “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:…………” Proverbs 23:7
  4. Do the word. And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:” Deuternoromy 28:1
I don’t know what battle you are facing right now in any area of your life, but I know if you will act on these biblical secrets, you shall win.

Slaying the giant

“………….. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” 1John 3:8

I don’t care to know the giant that is confronting you right now but I care to tell you that you are anointed to slay the giant if you are a Child of God. You are born again and filled with the Holy Ghost to slay the giant confronting your life and destiny. You have been made manifest to destroy the works of the devil. Goliath tormented the army of Israel for forty days because no anointed person was present; Saul was an ex-anointed. But when David the anointed came, he brought Goliath down. Until you believe that you are anointed, your giant will keep on standing. It takes power to become a Child of God (John 1:12, Rom 1:16) and that same power is enough to deal with the works of the devil (2John 3:8). You have to destroy not only the giant confronting you but also the giant confronting your community. Destroy the giant of corruption, immorality, poverty, joblessness, unrighteousness and such that is confronting our nation. Beloved, you are anointed to do it. Now you must activate this anointing the same way David activated the anointing on him to slay goliath by doing the following:
1.Think big (1Samuel 17:23-26): you are a product of your thought (Proverbs 23:7). Align your thinking with God’s word by meditating on His word.
2.Believe big (1Samuel 17:31-36): If you believe, all things are possible for you. Mark 9:23
3.Speak big (1Samuel 17:45-47): It is what you decree that comes to past. Job 22:28
4.Act big (1Samuel 17:48-49): Confront your giant, go forward, act big. James 2:17
And I can assure you that if you do these, God will do big through the anointing on you to slay the giant.
Your day is blessed.

Trusted Fathers

“For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which He hath spoken of him” Genesis 18:19. Are you a trusted father? A trusted father will command his children in the way of the Lord. A land without trusted fathers suffer a lot, the blessing of God is hindered in such land. What are other things a trusted father must do? He must pray through for his children. Most problems that children go through in marriage, career, finances and such are as a result of the fact that their parents did not pray through for them. A trusted father must overcome the power of his father’s house so that he does not pass the battle to his children. You are presently going through some battles now because your parents passed them to you, you must stop the battles so that your children don’t inherit it. A trusted father must provide for his house. A trusted father must fellowship with his children, teach them wisdom and impart them with the blessing of favor. A trusted father must love his wife. If you are a father already, ask for grace to fulfill fatherhood. If you are not yet a father, know that fatherhood is a responsibility, it requires preparation, ask God to equip you ahead of fatherhood. Have a great week

Deal with these!

“And when the people were come into the wood, behold, the honey dropped; but no man put his hand to his mouth: for the people feared the oath.” 1samuel 14:26 If you are close to your breakthrough and you are not experiencing it, you may have to deal with these three things: the fear, the curse and the strongman. The people of Israel were in a battle with the Philistines. Jonathan and his armour bearer took a step of faith and God worked with them giving them victory. The people of Israel joined in the spoil. And at one point the soldiers were distressed and needed some food. They got to a place where there was honey on the ground and dripping but they COULD NOT EAT THE HONEY. Why, because Saul (the strongman) had placed a CURSE on whosoever eat anything until he avenged his enemies and the people FEARED the curse. Beloved, are you close to your breakthrough but could not experience it? I curse whatever that is preventing you from experiencing your breakthrough in Jesus name. God asked me to tell you Fear not (2Tim 1:7), curse the curse (mark 11:23) and bind the strongman (Mathew 18:18). Pray these prayer points 1.I break the yoke of fear over my life in Jesus name. 2.I break the curse of failure at the edge of breakthrough in Jesus name 3.I bind the strongman hindering my breakthrough in Jesus name. 4.I decree breakthrough in all areas of my life in Jesus name. It is well.

When the Covenant is working!

“When thou passeth through the waters, I will be with thee, and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.” Isaiah 43:2 When the covenant is at work in your life, the enemy cannot prevail over you. A covenant with God provides covering for an obedient Child of God at all times so he is protected against all forms of evil. A friend of mine, a board member of our Church, and a person I consider my blood brother called me on Sunday evening and shared a powerful testimony. He was on a speed of 140km/hr when one of the tyres of his pajero jeep busted but God delivered him. He suffered no hurt. Why, because the covenant protection of God is working for him. He is too committed to God to be wounded by the enemy. Beloved, the way to cut a covenant with God is to be obedient to His word and committed to Him by sacrificial giving. Do you obey God, when He speaks to you? Is there a Ministry or a Man of God you are consistently committed to financially and materially? Responding to these questions positively is important in activating God’s covenant covering for your life and destiny.

It is not hopeless!

“And the Lord said unto Moses, Where criest thou unto Me? Speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward: But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea” Exodus 14:15-16. Beloved, no situation is hopeless! It only looks hopeless when you cannot see or you don’t know the way out. Let me ask you what situation could look hopeless than trying to walk through the red sea? What situation could look hopeless than trying to recover an iron axe head that fell into a river? What situation could look hopeless than trying to confront a three nations army without a weapon? What situation could look hopeless than trying to get healing when the experts have treated you for more than twelve years? And what situation could look hopeless than a man who had been dead for four days? In all the above reference situations, God provided the way out. Read the text, 2Kings 6:5-7, 2Chronicles 20, Mark 5 and John 11. I don’t care to know what you are going through and what men have said about it, but I care to tell you that it is not hopeless, there is a way out. God has provided solution for you. I decree that your eyes be opened to see the answer in Jesus name. (2kings 6:15-17). Receive your breakthrough, receive healings in your body, receive your deliverance in the name of Jesus. Your days are blessed.

The Speaking Blood

"But you have come.....to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than the blood of Abel." Hebrews 12:22a,24.

About 2 thousands years ago when Jesus was crucified, there were nails on His palms and feet, crown of thorns on His head, a spear struck His side. These brought out the Blood. The Blood is the seal of the new covenant whereby everyone who repents and accepts Jesus has direct and unhindered access to the throne of Grace.

Apart from this, the Blood has a voice. The voice of redemption, deliverance, healings, salvation and power. This was compared to the blood of Abel. Remember that the voice of the blood of Abel was loud enough for God to have heard from the ground and then compelled Him to avenge Abel (Genesis 4:10). But the voice of the Blood of Jesus is stronger and speaks better things. Therefore don't let your heart be troubled, for there is the Blood that speaks for you.

That is why you as a child of God cannot be defeated by the forces of hell. That is why there is hope and victory for you inspite of all the challenges you are facing. That is why there is healing for your body, your home, your career and relationships.

As you celebrate this Easter weekend, I ask the Blood to speak restoration into all areas of your life. Let the Blood speak destruction into the camp of your enemies. Let the Blood speak healing to your body. Let the Blood speak life into every good thing that is dead in your life.

Happy Easter!

Fear Not!

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” Isaiah 41:10.

As a child of God working in obedience to God you need not entertain fear for any reason. Let me share with you five reasons you should not fear from the above scripture:
1.You are not alone, God is with you.
2.God has given Himself to you. He says He is your God.
3.God has promised to help you. You are not going to confront the situation by yourself alone.
4.He has promised to strengthen you. You will not do it by your strength alone. He is going to back you up with His strength.
5.He will uphold you. You can be sure He will make you to stay above the situation.

Beloved as go about your divine assignment this week, remember, fear not for God is with you.

Be hungry for God

“Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” Mathew 5:6

God is asking to tell you this morning to be hungry for Him. You have been seeking him for what you can get from Him. But if you get God and His nature, you will experience the king dom of God on earth. In God there is no sin, there is no sickness, there is no bondage. And I can assure you that when the paramount cry of your soul is to get God, He will reveal Himself to you and manifest Himself through you. There is realm where the Spirit of Man and the Spirit of God unite, and that is where God wants you to be. What should you do? You should begin to spend time daily with God asking Him to reveal Himself personally to you. Tell Him you want to see Him and hear Him; and be passionate and consistent until you get results.

Dare to believe God

“……if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God” John 11:40

Dare to believe God. If you do, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain. When you believe God even in death there is hope.

I was in my house one evening towards the end of last year when I heard a noise. I came out to meet the crowd with a child. I thought the child was sick and needed prayers but on touching him I found that he was cold dead. My faith went down immediately and I wanted to refrain from praying but I heard God telling me to pray. At that word I started commanding the spirit of the boy to come back. I do not know how many times I repeated the words but within few minutes, the boy’s temperature rose, he urinated and then defecated. He came back to life!

Beloved, I don’t know what situation you are right now, but I care to tell you that if you believe God, you will see His glory. It is not too late for you to receive a miracle. Lazarus was dead four days but Jesus brought him back to life. Jairus daughter was dead, so reported his people but Jesus told him, ‘fear not, only believe.’ God is speaking to you this morning: if you believe, I will do the impossible.

Have a great week.

But God was with him

“And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: but God was with him,” Acts 7:9

When God is with you what killed others cannot kill you, what put others to shame cannot put you to shame, the path that is unsafe for others cannot harm you, the serpent cannot harm you neither can the scorpion afflict you. The world economy cannot swallow you neither can its diseases afflict you. Even if giants come against you, they will be swallowed up; see how David wasted Goliath.

Check the Bible, Daniel spent night with Lions without any harm, the same Lions torn his enemies into pieces in seconds. Zadrach, Meshack and Abednego walked inside the fire, the same fire whose breath killed the Giants that threw them into the furnace. Paul shook the venomous beast inside the fire and felt no harm. This is because God was with them.

Joseph’s brothers sold him into slavery BUT GOD WAS WITH HIM. And that makes the difference; he became a ruler in the land of his slavery and bondage. Beloved, don’t compromise God’s presence in your life for anything in this world. It is the greatest thing you need on earth. No worldly thing can take the place of God’s presence in your life. So what do you do? Spend time with God and live in absolute obedience to His word.

5Laws of Love

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

1.When you walk in love, you have fulfilled all laws. Romans 13:10
2.If you don’t love, you don’t know God. 1John 4:8
3.The Love you have for your brother is an expression of the Love you have for God. 1John 4:20
4.You cannot love without giving. 1John 3:17.
5.There is no fear in love. 1John 4:18

The evidence of your love towards a person is that his or her life becomes better. Show love to someone today and every time; make someone’s life better through your words, deeds and thoughts.

Five Things You Must Never Stop Doing

“My son, attend unto my wisdom, and bow thine ear to my understanding: That thou mayest regard discretion, and that thy lips may keep knowledge.” Proverbs 5:1-2

1.Never stop learning: Proverbs 10:14 says, “Wise men lay up knowledge…” Whatever it will cost you learn something new daily. Read books, attend seminars and conferences, listen to messages, go to school.

2.Never stop praying: 1Thess 5:17 says, “Pray without ceasing.” Always pray and pray and pray. Daniel was praying three times daily, he ruled in the land of Babylon. Your level of prayer determines your level of success.

3.Never stop giving: Luke 6:38 says, “Give and it shall be given unto you…” Pay tithe on all your income, your prosperity depends on it. Give to your parents, give to Men of God, give to Kingdom projects, give to the poor, make someone’s life better. Giving secures your future.

4.Never stop praising God: Psalm 100:4 says, “..and His court with praise…” The Promised Land is not for murmurers and complainers. If you are not praiseful, you will be painful.

5.Never stop working hard: Proverbs 6:6 says, “Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:” There is no room for lazy people on earth. The brain of an ant works better than the brain of a lazy person.

You shall be great in Jesus name.

Battles at the Gates

“But as it is written: Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man, the things which God has prepared for those who love Him” 1Cor. 2:9

There five gates where battles of life are either won or loss. They are the eye gate, the ear gate, the mind gate, the will gate and the mouth gate.

The eye gate: You must control what you see because what you see is what you become. Until you see right, your life cannot be right. Jer. 1:11-12; Gen. 30:37-40. Now seeing is different from looking. Until the snap button of a camera is pressed the picture is not taken. Seeing is when the picture of what you are looking at, get registered in you. Whenever the enemy brings you pictures to look at it is your responsibility to chose what you will see.

The ear gate: What you are hearing has direct effect on your life. When you hear faith-filled words, your life goes up. But when you keep on hearing fear-filled words, your life goes down. When you receive a truth, you have a breakthrough. Choose what you are hearing, your life depends on it.

The mind gate: The greatest battle of life takes place in the mind. Your thinking happens in the mind. Now when you lose the battle at the eye gate and the ear gate, the chance that you will win in the mind is slim. This is because the eye gate and the ear gate lead directly to the mind gate. And whatever enters your mind has entered your life. 2Cor 10:3-4, Pro. 23:7, Pro. 4:23

The will gate: The mind gate leads directly to the will gate. Every action a man takes is first settled in his mind. Gen 11:6, 2Cor 4:4

The mouth gate: The mind gate also leads directly to the mouth gate. “For out of the abundance of the heart (mind) the mouth speaketh” Math 12:34 (emphasis mine). You will always have what you say (mark 11:23-24).

Beloved, work on these gates in your life in the light of the word of God and your life will never remain the same. I decree that you will win the battles of life in Jesus name.

The Secret of God

”As I was in the days of my youth, when the secret of God was upon my tabernacle” Job 29:4.

When you access the secret of men you rule like men but when you access the secret of God you rule like “god” among men. John 10:35 says, “If He called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken”

Paul the Apostle, before he became a Christian, studied Law and Religion under the best tutor of his time, Gamaliel. And as a result he became a leader among the Pharisees and also a Murderer of Christians. The best he could be was the expectation of men for him. But when he encountered God and had access to His secret, he began to do what only God could do among men (Act 14:11; Act 28:6). He wrote the largest part of the New Testament; his learning of the secret of men obviously helped him when he began to have a relationship with God. Study the life of Joseph and Daniel. They had understanding of the secret of men and had access to the secret of God and that was why they ruled like God among men. Job became the richest man of his time because he had access to the secret of God.

Now you can access the secret of men by listening to them, reading the books they wrote and by relating with them. You must not be lazy at doing that but as a Christian in this end time what will make you stand out is access to the secret of God. There is an information bank beyond the mental realm of men which belongs to you as a Child of God. This bank is what I call the Secret of God which you must explore. This secret can be accessed by fearing God (Psalm 25:14), meditation on the word of God (Joshua 1:8), Praying in tongues regularly and asking God specifically to grant you access into His secret in prayer.

I ask God to give you grace to do these consistently this year. The year 2012 is delivered into your hands in Jesus name.
