Supernatural answers to lack and poverty 3

“The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.” Genesis 41:38-39

No matter the work you do for a living, if the blessing of God is upon it, He will make you rich. It does not really matter whether you are a petty trader, cobbler, or medical doctor; what really matters is the blessing of God. The blessing of God is the answer to lack and poverty, the blessing of God brings an end to sorrow. The blessings of God are covenant-based and rest on those who are obedient to Him.

“And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.” Deuteronomy 28:2

“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” Galatians 3:13-14

Every born-again child of God is in covenant with God and carries the blessing through Jesus Christ, in my opinion. I also believe that we should walk in the blessing by having faith in Him and living in obedience to Him. When we walk in disobedience, we sabotage ourselves and cut off God's blessings on our lives. Don't be deceived; don't live by the flesh, but by the Spirit, if you want to enjoy God's blessings on your life (Romans 8:1-2).

You carry the blessings of God in Jesus' name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, bless me indeed and enlarge my coast in Jesus' name.

Salvation: Lord Jesus, I believe in the forgiveness of sin and in the redemption from the power of darkness through your blood. I confess you as my Savior and Lord.  I invite you into my life to save my soul. Holy Spirit, come into my heart and make me what you want me to be. Thank you Lord for saving me in Jesus name.

Supernatural answers to lack and poverty 2

“And Pharaoh said unto his servants, Can we find such a one as this is, a man in whom the Spirit of God is? And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Forasmuch as God hath shewed thee all this, there is none so discreet and wise as thou art:” Genesis 41:38-39

A revelation from the Lord is a supernatural deliverance from lack and poverty. If God shows you what to do, you cannot lack anywhere in the world, even in the midst of the desert and dry land. God showed Joseph something that led to his promotion. Pharaoh confirmed that God showed him the solutions because the Spirit of God was in Joseph. This should excite you because the Holy Spirit is present in you to reveal things to you.

“But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.” 1 Corinthians 2:10

“And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.” Genesis 21:19

If God could open the eyes of Hagar and show her where a well of water was, He would do the same for us. We are better positioned than Hagar. I was talking to one of my mentors and he told me how God opened his eyes to the business he is presently doing. You need to look beyond your chosen profession and ask God to show you something. Whatever He shows you is your breakthrough from lack forever.

May God show you what to do in Jesus' name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, open my eyes to see so that I should have financial breakthroughs in Jesus' name.

Supernatural answers to lack and poverty 1

“Thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.” Isaiah 48:17

The voice of the Lord is the supernatural answer to lack and poverty. If you hear his voice and do it, you can never lack for any good thing. The good news is that God is willing to teach you to profit and to lead you in the right direction. If you have time for regular fellowship with Him and are attentive to Him, He will tell you what to do. The Psalmist says, "Those who seek the Lord shall not want any good thing."

“The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing.” Psalms 34:10

“His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.” John 2:5

The story of the miracle at the marriage in Cana of Galilee revealed God’s fundamental way of providing for His own. The wine was finished, and there was no money to buy more. God must speak, the people must hear, and they must obey, if there is going to be a supernatural provision. And that was exactly what happened. There are numerous instances in the Bible where God spoke and people obeyed, resulting in their breakthroughs. (2 Kings 17:9; Luke 5:5-6; Mt 17:27).

May you hear God in Jesus' name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, let me hear your voice for supernatural provisions in Jesus name.

No financial shame

“The Lord knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever. They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied.” Psalm 37:18-19

Financial stability is likely to be at the top of most people's lists of concerns. Most people will want to stay on top of their financial needs, be able to pay their bills, avoid debt, and live in abundance. Unfortunately, many have failed in this aspect for many reasons. As a child of God, you don’t have to be put to shame in any situation, including your financial life. This is because God has promised that you shall not be ashamed in the evil time, and even in the days of famine, you shall be satisfied.

“Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.” Matthew 17:27

“Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.  For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.” Jeremiah 17:7-8

You are going to enjoy the promise of God to keep shame away from you by trusting in Him and listening to Him. People’s strengths shall fail them. But, if you trust in God and seek Him with the whole of your heart, He will guide you into abundance (2 kings 4:1-7). No matter how strong or weak you think you are, maintain your relationship with God who is stronger than all and beautiful for all situations. I see you experiencing a financial turnaround this week, in Jesus' name.

I break the power of the devil over your finances in Jesus' name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, according to your word, I shall not be put to shame in Jesus name.

Those who know…

“And the king said, Is the young man Absalom safe? And Ahimaaz answered, When Joab sent the king's servant, and me thy servant, I saw a great tumult, BUT I KNEW NOT WHAT IT WAS. And the king said unto him, Turn aside, and stand here. And he turned aside, and stood still.” 2 Samuel 18:29-30 (emphasis mine)

Those who know have an advantage over those who don't; work hard to become part of those who know. The ability to distinguish oneself is essential. Ahimaaz could run and overran Cushi (2 Samuel 18:23). However, Ahimaaz was set aside because he did not know. He made room for Cushi who knew. If you know, people, government, and establishments will make room for you. Could you stop running without adequate knowledge? Labour to know and run with the knowledge. Every champion knows something that others don’t know.

“………. but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” Daniel 11:32KJV

“The beginning of wisdom is: Get [skillful and godly] wisdom [it is preeminent]! And with all your acquiring, get understanding [actively seek spiritual discernment, mature comprehension, and logical interpretation].” Proverbs 4:7Amplified Bible

It takes adequate knowledge to set the right goals and it takes adequate knowledge to accomplish them. Seeking the knowledge you need is the key to a breakthrough in life. Do not be ignorant of the word and the will of God for your life. Do not be ignorant of the environment you live in and the people that surround you. Do not be ignorant in your chosen profession. And most importantly, do not be ignorant of yourself and of God. Seek to know what you want and how to get it.

Let the room be made for your greatness in Jesus' name.

Prayer for today: O God, give me a passion for adequate knowledge in Jesus' name.

All battles are winnable

“Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” Romans 8:37KJV

There is nothing you are going through that you cannot overcome. You can win all the battles of life if you accept the love of Christ and walk in it. Let me put it this way: God loves you, He is for you, and He is not against you. If God is for you, nothing can prosper against you. If you believe this, your mentality changes from that of a loser to that of a winner. Also, your declaration and action will change for you to realize the victory that God has given you.

“What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” Romans 8:31-32 (KJV)

“Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.” Psalms 55:22KJV

What battle are you facing right now? Financial? Health? Relationship? Whatever it is, the love of Christ will see you through. Stop carrying the burden, it does not belong to you. Give the burden to the Lord and let Him sustain you. Allow Him to fight your battle, stop worrying, pray with confidence, listen attentively, do whatever He says, and walk into your victory.

Your rest in all life battles has come in Jesus' name.

Prayer point: Oh God, take over my battles and fight for me in Jesus’ name.

Your mouth is a defense

“For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.” Luke 21:15KJV

If you receive a mouth from the Lord, nothing can defeat you. Particularly when you are confronted by both physical and spiritual adversaries, your mouth is a major determinant of your victory. If God gives you a mouth, your adversaries will not be able to resist you. The battle between David and goliath was won first with the mouth. If you don’t know what to say in the midst of your battle, ask God to give you a mouth.

“Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. This day will the Lord deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. And all this assembly shall know that the Lord saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the Lord's, and he will give you into our hands.” 1 Samuel 17:45-47 (KJV)

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth;…..” Joshua 1:8aKJV

Put the scripture in your mouth as you expect God to give you the revealed word that you need. I discovered that our mouth actually determines most of our destiny. You must have the right mouth to pass interviews. You also need the right mouth to win and keep good relationships. Also, your mouth cannot be closed, if you don’t want your destiny to be sealed. However, when you open your mouth, wisdom must come out.

Your mouth shall not be shut in Jesus' name.

Prayer point: Oh God, give me a mouth and wisdom, which all my adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist in Jesus’ name.

‘People’ is a defense

“Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.” Ecclesiastes 11:14KJV

If you are surrounded by faithful, loyal, and committed people, you have a defense; there is safety for you no matter what you are going through. Helpers of destiny provide protection. Your true strength is the strength of the people who are committed to you. Woe unto him that is alone (Ecclesiastes 4:10). Confidence in an unfaithful man in time of trouble is like a broken tooth, and a foot out of joint (Prov 25:19). You have a strong defense in any situation if you are not alone and if the people around you are faithful.

“And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance.” Luke 8:3 (KJV)

“And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four. And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.” Mark 2:3-4KJV

Jesus had provisions for his ministry because there were women who were committed to Him. You don’t have to be a millionaire to spend millions, you only need to be surrounded by millionaires who are faithful and committed to your vision. Faithful people will pray for you, put down their substances for you, fight for you, be there for you, and help you overcome whatever life and enemies have thrown at you. If you desire such people, be like that to others also.

May you have people to defend you in Jesus' name.

Prayer point: Oh God, bless me with faithful, loyal, and committed people in Jesus’ name.

Money is a defense

“For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it.” Ecclesiastes 7:12KJV

Money is both part of our life and very important. The wise man says money is a defense. In another verse, he said that money answers all things. The truth is that a lot of personal, family, and community issues can be solved if money is available and wisely used. Money is an instrument that takes on the character of whosoever possesses it. If it is available at the right time and in the right hands, money can be a defense against health issues, hunger issues, and avoidable deaths. I believe every Christian should know how to make, multiply, and manage money.

“A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry: but money answereth all things.” Ecclesiastes 10:19 (KJV)

“Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;” 1 Timothy 6:17-18KJV

You will do better in life with money than without it. Although you should have money and not allow money to have you. The truth is that lack of money is a strong limitation in any man’s life. It is important for you to receive the blessing of prosperity from God (it is His will) and also build yourself to add value so that you can attract financial blessings. Poverty, or the lack of money, is evil, just like the love of money.

May you be financially blessed in Jesus' name.

Prayer point: Oh God, give me the power to get wealth in Jesus’ name.

Wisdom is a defense

“For wisdom is a defence, and money is a defence: but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom giveth life to them that have it.” Ecclesiastes 7:12KJV

Wisdom is your defense against the storms of life. Wisdom is knowing the right thing to do in the midst of challenges and doing it. Jesus said, if you do what He says, you are wise, and no storm can overcome you. There is a wisdom that is based on the revelation given by the Holy Spirit. This wisdom exposes the enemy and gives strategies to defeat them. You are able to deal with situations before they occur. This is what I call a strong defense. This is made possible by the spirit of wisdom and revelation.

“Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.” Matthew 7:24-25 (KJV)

“Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was sore troubled for this thing; and he called his servants, and said unto them, Will ye not shew me which of us is for the king of Israel? And one of his servants said, None, my lord, O king: but Elisha, the prophet that is in Israel, telleth the king of Israel the words that thou speakest in thy bedchamber.” 2 Kings 6:11-12KJV

Elisha knew what the king of Syria was discussing against the king of Israel thousands of miles away. Can you imagine knowing what your physical and spiritual enemies are planning against you? You will be protected against them. This is possible if you dedicate yourself to regular, consistent fellowship with God.

May you have a strong defense in every situation in Jesus' name.

Prayer point: Oh God, give me the spirit of wisdom and revelation in Jesus’ name.

Covenant with God is a defense

“Have respect unto the covenant: for the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty.” Psalm 74:20KJV

Your covenant with God is a sure deterrent to all evil. We live in a cruel world where kidnapping, human trafficking, money rituals, and organ harvesting are commonplace. Men and women have sold their souls to the devil and have become instruments of cruelty. Your defense against this cruelty is your covenant with God. No altar can drink your blood if you are in the covenant with God. God owns you if you are in covenant with Him. He will guide and protect you with zeal because He owns you.

“And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” Daniel 11:32 (KJV)

“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” Jeremiah 33:3KJV

If you have given your life to Jesus, you have a covenant with God. Don’t take your life out of His hands whenever you are confronted with any kind of trouble. You will surely be delivered if you are in the covenant, but not when you are outside the covenant. The covenant guarantees His protection, provision, and direction. Ask Him what to do, and He will give you the answer because of your covenant with Him.

Let the covenant speak for you in Jesus' name.

Prayer point: I invoke the covenant of the blood of Jesus against the wickedness and cruelty of men, in Jesus’ name.

The anointing is a defense

“He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes; Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.” Psalm 105:14-15 (KJV)

In this wicked world, as a Christian, the anointing is your defense. You cannot be anointed and be defeated. You cannot be anointed and be wasted. There are satanic wickedness in this world whose sole purpose is to kill, steal, and destroy; however, they cannot prosper against you if you are anointed. As a Christian, being anointed is not negotiable; it is a must if you desire to fulfill your destiny.

“I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him: With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him. The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.” Psalm 89:20-22KJV

“Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.” Psalm 23:5KJV

You must eat while the enemy is watching and helpless. This is what happens when your head is anointed with oil. You will not have to worry about the enemy. The truth is that we are surrounded by many of them, but the anointing is our defense against them. Today, the anointing of the Holy Spirit is for all Christians who will hunger and thirst for it.

May you be anointed in Jesus' name.

Prayer point: Oh God, anoint me with the Holy Spirit and power, in Jesus’ name.

Anointing makes the difference

“And she said, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awoke out of his sleep, and said, I will go out as at other times before, and shake myself. And he wist not that the Lord was departed from him.” Judges 16:20 (KJV)

Do you remember the story of Samson? Because he was anointed, he performed amazing physical feats. He was a super-ordinary man until the anointing left him. The source of the anointing was separated from him, and the Lord departed from him. He became an ordinary man. The anointing will make a difference in your life, you must get anointed and stay anointed. The supernatural is the normal way of life for every Christian. The source of this way of life is the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” Acts 10:38

“Let thy garments be always white; and let thy head lack no ointment.” Ecclesiastes 9:8

You would not know what you can do or what God can do through you until you were anointed. The anointing represents both God's presence with you and the presence of the Holy Spirit on you. How about getting results because God is working through you? Stop complaining, and get anointed.

May you be hungry for the anointing in Jesus' name.

Prayer point: Oh God, anoint me with the Holy Spirit and power, in Jesus’ name.

Turn aside to look

“Then Moses said, “I will now turn aside and see this great sight, why the bush does not burn.” So when the Lord saw that he turned aside to look, God called to him from the midst of the bush and said, “Moses, Moses!” And he said, “Here I am.” Exodus 3:3-4 (NKJV)

Turning aside is what I call purposeful separation. This is the price every champion pays for greatness in destiny. It is the time when you separate yourself to hear God and be anointed by Him. This is where the questions of what to do, how to do it, where to do it, and when to do it are answered. It is also the place where greatness is conceived, incubated, and taken toward becoming reality. It is a time of concentration and meditation for illumination.

“Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and news of Him went out through all the surrounding region.” Luke 4:14

“And it came to pass in those days, that he went out into a mountain to pray, and continued all night in prayer to God.” Luke 6:12

Moses thought he would die as an ordinary shepherd of sheep until he turned aside to look. God spoke to him, and he became the deliverer, he was meant to be. If you are dissatisfied with where you are, turn aside to God and look to see. Jesus even separated Himself and returned in the power of the Spirit.

May you turn aside to see what God wants to show you, in Jesus' name.

Prayer point: Oh God give me impartation of grace, wisdom, favor and power to fulfil my destiny, in Jesus’ name.

The Lord is my shepherd

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” Psalms 23:1 (NKJV)

Make the Lord your shepherd, follow Him as a sheep follows the shepherd. As long as the sheep can hear the voice of the shepherd and follow him, his safety and provision are guaranteed. The key to beating the economic and security challenges of this time is to receive and follow God’s guidance. He sees and knows all things, and He will not misguide you. If you will submit to His instructions, He will teach you to profit and lead you in the way you should go. You will always know what to do to handle situations, particularly the economic and security threats that have come upon the whole world.

“And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.” Isaiah 58:11

“Thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.” Isaiah 48:17

Isaac was going to run to Egypt during the famine, but God guided and instructed him to stay in Gerar. He prospered there, despite the famine. The Widow of Zarepath was going to eat her last meal and die in 1 Kings 17, but she listened to God’s instruction to give her meal to Elijah, the Prophet. She and her family had an abundance during the famine. Peter and his colleagues had already given up in Luke 5 when Jesus instructed Peter to launch into the deep. He got a breakthrough that he had never had before. Beloved, let God guide you in such a time like this, you will enjoy both His abundance and His security.

This is your week of great things in Jesus name.

Prayer point: Oh God order my steps and direct my path into abundance in Jesus name.

Celebration of love

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16. (NKJV)

I believe that the world will be a better place if true love is embraced. I believe love should be celebrated every day, every hour, and every second. However, if the world has chosen a day to celebrate love, then it is appropriate to let the believers know that a celebration of love is not a celebration of lust. The world has not known true love, so it cannot tell us how to celebrate love. Love is not sex, and sex is not love. True love is celebrated by giving. God demonstrated His love towards us by giving us Jesus Christ, who died for us while we were yet sinners.

“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.’ ” 1 John 3:1 (KJV)

“Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 (NKJV)

Behold what manner of love God has given to us that we should be called the children of God. True love is clearly described in 1 Corinthians 13. If you really want to celebrate love, it begins by accepting the salvation given to us by God. Then, expressing the same love to others by sharing the gospel and caring for their physical needs as much as we can.

Love never fails. May you experience the unfailing love of Christ in all areas of your life in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, let the world know Your love and Jesus Christ whom You have given in Jesus' name.

The law is about love

“Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.” Romans 13:10. (KJV)

If you walk in love, you have fulfilled the Ten Commandments. Those who don’t walk in love are still under the law, even if they claim to be born again. The first four commandments are about your love for God. If you love God, you will obey Him. The last six commandments are about your love for your neighbor, if you love your neighbor, you will not kill him, steal from him, take his wife, or lie against him. According to the Bible, you cannot claim to love God whom you have not seen if you cannot love your neighbor, whom you can see.

“So he answered and said, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ‘your neighbor as yourself.’ ” Luke 10:27 (NKJV)

“If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?” 1 John 4:20 (NKJV)

If you walk in love, you are truly above the law. If you walk in love, you are stronger and more powerful than those who don’t, no matter who they are. If you walk in love, you are godly. The power of love can heal and deliver any nation or community. The solution to crumbling marriages in the world today is agape love. God’s kind of love is enough.

May you walk in God-kind of love in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, heal our nation and community by the power of your love in Jesus' name.

Let true love reign

“Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13. (NLT)

True love is God’s kind of love, unconditional love (Agape). True love is stronger than sexual love (Eros); I have seen sexual lovers separated by materialism and selfishness. True love is stronger than brotherly love (Phileo); I have seen brothers betray one another for financial gain. True love is given by God and inspired by the Holy Spirit. True love is a powerful positive force. You cannot make it without true love. True love is something you must both give and receive. You must be surrounded by true love.

“How I weep for you, my brother Jonathan! Oh, how much I loved you! And your love for me was deep,     deeper than the love of women!” 2 Samuel 1:26 (NLT)

“And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.” Romans 5:5 (NLT)

If you allow the Holy Spirit to fill your hearts with love, then you are allowing true love to reign. This is the love that stands the test of time. Other kinds of love are conditional and will fizzle out when confronted by the real test of life. The Bible says in 1 Samuel 18:3–4, “And Jonathan made a solemn pact with David, because he loved him as he loved himself. Jonathan sealed the pact by taking off his robe and giving it to David, together with his tunic, sword, bow, and belt.” This is the closest human description of true love.

May you be surrounded by true love in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, let the Holy Spirit fill my heart with Your love in Jesus' name.

Creating an atmosphere of love

“I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong.” Ephesians 3:16-17. (NLT)

No good thing can fail in an atmosphere of love. There is healing, deliverance, and abundance in an atmosphere of love. When love is your motivation, no force can stop you. To create an atmosphere of love, love must dwell within you. Allow Christ to make His home in your heart as you trust in Him for love to dwell within you. You will be rooted and grounded in love if you trust Christ in all your situations.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” Proverbs 3:5-6 (NLT)

“For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.” 2 Corinthians 5:13-15 (NIV)

In any situation, ask the Lord what to do and do only what He tells you. He will guide you to the solution that love provides. Materialism and selfishness are killers of love within us. Naturally, we want to fight for all things, but if love prevails in our hearts and around us, God will be there to help us. This will happen if we don’t depend on our understanding, but put our trust in God.

May you be rooted and grounded in love in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God empower me with inner strength to walk in love and to create an atmosphere of love in Jesus' name.

What seed are you sowing?

“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” Galatians 6:7. (KJV)

One of the unbreakable laws of life is the law of sowing and reaping: whatever a man sows, he will also reap. The seeds you plant today will determine your future. Whatever you sow will come back to you in multiple folds. If you don’t like your harvest, you must change your seed. Sow the seed of love, not hatred. You must ask yourself before you do anything to another, "Will you like the same to be done to you?"

“For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Galatians 6:8-9 (KJV)

“Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.” Matthew 7:12 (KJV)

Don’t take advantage of others. Don't join the masses in doing evil. As a daughter, don’t maltreat your mother or father. As a son, don’t maltreat your mother or father. The same goes for in-laws and parents. As a law enforcement officer, don’t abuse your office and maltreat people. Don’t scam people out of their money or goods. Don’t maltreat your brothers and sisters. Don’t maltreat foreigners. Keep on sowing good seeds, and your harvest will surely be good.

Your seed is coming back to you.

Prayer for today: Oh God, guide me to sow good seeds at all times and in all seasons in Jesus' name.

Avoid negative attitudes 2

“Don't try to get revenge for yourselves, my dear friends, but leave room for God's wrath. It is written, Revenge belongs to me; I will pay it back, says the Lord.” Romans 12:19. (NIV)

You must deliberately avoid the negative attitudes of hatred, malice, and vengeance. These kinds of attitudes generate negative forces that are detrimental to both the emotional and spiritual states of a person. These start a chain of evil, the end of which will not be seen by the person who engages in them. There is no justification for permitting any of these in your life, not even the fact someone did evil or hurt you so badly. You should just hand over such people to God and move on. Allow the Holy Spirit to help you get over it.

“Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.” Ephesians 4:31-32 ESV

“Say not thou, I will recompense evil; but wait on the Lord, and he shall save thee.” Proverbs 20:22 (KJV)

This may be difficult, but allow God to help you and save you. Do not open the door for the wicked one to afflict you. It is bad enough that someone has hurt you; don't let satan take advantage of the situation against you. Ask God to deal with the root of hatred, malice, and vengeance in your life.

In Jesus' name, may all conscious and unconscious negative forces die in your life.

Prayer for today: Oh God, deliver me from all negative emotional forces and fight my battles for me in Jesus' name.

Avoid negative attitudes 1

“Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” 2 Corinthians 10:5. (KJV)

In most cases, our attitudes and perspectives determine the outcome of our lives. What matters is not what happens, but what we do with what happens, or how we handle it. Your attitude determines who you attract into your life. Negative attitudes can hinder God and those He has sent to us to help us; we must avoid them. Specifically, if you want God in your life, you must avoid unbelief, unrepentance, and unforgiveness. If you deal with these three things, God will always move in your life.

“Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” Mark 9:23. (KJV)

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9 (KJV)

“For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” Mathew 6: 14-15 (KJV)

Be quick to believe God, no matter what you are going through. Unbelief hinders God. Jesus could not help the people of Nazareth because of their unbelief (Mark 6:5). When you make a mistake, be quick to repent. When there are sins we have not repented of in our lives, they hinder God from moving in our lives. Beloved, be quick to forgive others when they offend you. If you want to be forgiven, you must also forgive others.

In Jesus' name, God shall not be hindered in your life.

Prayer for today: Oh God, expose and disgrace negative attitudes in my life in Jesus' name.

Be like a child

“And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 18:2-3. (KJV)

We need a change in attitude to get better results and achieve our goals this year. Jesus talked about us changing and becoming like little children to experience the Kingdom of Heaven. He is speaking of experiencing the kind of peace, progress, and prosperity that is found in heaven on earth. What are the attitudes of a child? Let me mention five of them that are relevant to this message. These are curiosity, excitement, faith, trust, and humility.

“Whosoever shall receive one of such children in my name, receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not me, but him that sent me.” Mark 9:37. (KJV)

“Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.” James 4:10 (KJV)

Being a child means wanting to learn and discover new things. Be teachable and willing to learn like a child. Be joyful no matter what you are going through, knowing that God is in complete control. Have unwavering faith in God. Put your trust in God, just like a child. Humble yourself before God and spread your hands toward Him like a child so that He can lift you.

In Jesus' name, God shall lift you.

Prayer for today: Oh God, let me experience you in every area of my life just like a child in Jesus' name.

There are no casual words

“But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.” Matthew 12:36-37. (KJV)

There are no casual words; you must be intentional about your spoken words. The words of a man determine his destiny. Man is an emotional being, and one of the ways he expresses emotion is by speaking. However, every Christian must know that he must be in control of his words, no matter his emotions. Your spoken word can change the reason behind your negative emotions. Your spoken word is your power to change things.

“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.” Ephesians 4:29. (KJV)

“Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the Lord, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:” Numbers 14:28 (KJV)

Beware of foul words; your words are a clear indication of your heart. Beware of negative words; even if you are passing through negative experiences, don’t speak negatively. Your words activate spiritual power that follows the direction of your words. Think about it this way: You can use your word to get into trouble, and you can use your word to get out of trouble. Words are blessings, words are also curses. Use your words to bless yourself, not to curse yourself.

In Jesus' name, you are blessed.

Prayer for today: I cancel every negative word that I have spoken against myself and I pronounce myself blessed, in Jesus' name.

Call on God

“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” Jeremiah 33:3. (KJV)

If you want to see great and mighty things, call on God. If you want to see things that you desire but have not experienced before, call on God. If you want deliverance from all your trouble, call on God. If adversaries have come against you, call on God. If you desire a miracle, call on God. Divine intervention is just a call away. No matter what comes your way, call God first.

“And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.” Psalms 50:15. (KJV)

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:” Matthew 7:7 (KJV)

God will answer you if you call on Him. However, it is important to develop a relationship with Him. Don’t wait for the time of trouble. Don’t stay away from Him in a time of peace and prosperity. Let God know you and call you by your name through regular fellowship with Him. Be an obedient child of God and align yourself with His word. When God is on your side, nothing can defeat you. If you have a solid relationship with Him you will be bold to call on Him and expect answers.

In Jesus' name, may you always experience divine intervention.

Prayer for today: Oh God, see me through all my challenges, in Jesus' name.

The Bible is the solution book

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Joshua 1:8. (KJV)

The Bible is the source of solutions for all life's problems. I was listening to Jim Rohn. He said, “The Bible is a good textbook for ideas, stories, and success equations, how to live a better life. The Bible is as practical as it is spiritual. If you look at your bank account, your income and you are not happy, there are several places in the Bible to see what is wrong so you can make changes."  I believe that the Bible is not a mere religious book; it is the book of life.

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17. (KJV)

“Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard.” Proverbs 13:15 (KJV)

If you take the scriptures of the Bible and understand and live by them, your life can never be hard. You can never hear God and remain the same. Moreover, the Bible is God speaking to you. There are no problems in life; there are only deaf ears and disobedient hearts. If you hear from God on anything you call a problem and you do what He says to you, the problem ends.

In Jesus' name, may you gain God’s wisdom from the Bible.

Prayer for today: Oh God, let the Bible be opened to me, in Jesus' name.

Two things you must know

“Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.” Matthew 22:29. (KJV)

Every serious-minded Christian must know the Scriptures and the power of God. This is what will keep you from errors. This is what will make you shine as a Christian. You can only walk in the scriptures and the power that you know. This is what differentiates a Spirit-filled life from a merely religious life. You must dedicate yourself to knowing the Scriptures; ask God to grant you access to the mysteries of His word. Request that God bestow upon you divine power.

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15. (KJV)

“And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.” Luke 24:49 (KJV)

If you know the Scriptures, you will always know what to do in any situation you find yourself in. When you know the power of God, you will be bold like a lion and become a threat to the enemy. The power of God will burst your bond, break your yoke, and lift your burdens. Sit with the Word and pray for the power of God to rest upon you.

In Jesus' name, may you live an error-free life.

Prayer for today: Oh God, reveal Your word and Your power to me, in Jesus' name.

Go for knowledge 2

“When Jesus then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?  And this he said to prove him: for he himself knew what he would do.” John 6:5-6. (KJV)

It is not wrong for adversity or challenges to come; after all, life is full of them. What is wrong is for you not to know what to do. If you don’t know what to do, it means you lack the capability to handle life's situations. May you never be in this kind of situation, in Jesus' name. The key to dealing with situations is knowledge. It is your strength to handle adversity. When you grow in knowledge, you grow in grace, and you cannot be disgraced. Go for knowledge.

“If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.” Proverbs 24:10. (KJV)

“If the iron be blunt, and he do not whet the edge, then must he put to more strength: but wisdom is profitable to direct.” Ecclesiastes 10:10 (KJV)

Going for knowledge is like sharpening a blunt axe. You would no longer struggle to get results. A blunt axe requires a lot of struggle to produce results. You need financial knowledge to kill poverty and debt; if you don’t know what to do, go and learn. You need knowledge to maintain sound health and relationships. You need sound knowledge to have a successful marriage, business, and ministry. Go for knowledge on time, January is over, today is February 2, and before you know it, 2023 will be over.

In Jesus' name, may you be able to handle life's issues with adequate knowledge.

Prayer for today: Oh God, make me hungry for Your truth, in Jesus' name.
