The covenant keeping God

“Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;” Deuteronomy 7:9

God keeps His covenant with His people. If you are in covenant with God, He will be jealous over you. He will claim ownership over you and deal with anything that threatens you. God’s covenant makes you a peculiar treasure unto Him above all other people. God never fails in keeping His covenant with His people. If anything is wrong, we must examine ourselves. Jesus Christ is the mediator of the new covenant. Walking in the power of God depends on your covenant relationship with Christ and Obedience to Him.

“Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:” Exodus 19:5

“And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.” Hebrews 9:15

The greatest issue in a man's life is the issue of broken covenants and conflicting covenants. Do not let anyone deceive you, even as a New Testament believer, you must hear His voice and obey Him to walk in the new covenant. Fortunately, the Holy Spirit is given to help us.  We also have the written word of God and the faithful and committed Pastors who impart knowledge to us.

May you walk in the covenant with God in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, make me a peculiar treasure unto You above all other people in Jesus name.

Salvation: Lord Jesus, I believe in the forgiveness of sin and in the redemption from the power of darkness through your blood. I confess you as my Savior and Lord.  I invite you into my life to save my soul. Holy Spirit, come into my heart and make me what you want me to be. Thank you Lord for saving me in Jesus name.

Light for your world

“As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” John 9:5

Yesterday I shared about the two life questions that generated light for Saul who later became Paul. It will do the same for you. Jesus is the light you need to lighten your world. Light is the answer to every form of darkness. Light is the answer to every form of confusion. Light is the answer to every form of dryness and scarcity. Light is the answer to every form of frustration and struggle. You cannot hear the voice of Jesus and remain in darkness.

“In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” John 1:4-5

“And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?” Acts 9:3-4

I like what was said about Peter and John in Acts 4:13, “Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.” You can be learned and live in darkness; you can be unlearned and live in darkness. However, you cannot be with Jesus and live in darkness. Invest time in fellowship with Jesus and the Holy Spirit to generate light for your world.

May your light come in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Lord Jesus, bring your light into my world.

Two life questions

“And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.  And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.” Acts 9:5-6

Everyone that wants his or her life to count in this world and for eternity must find answers to two questions. The first question is who are you, Lord? This question brings a personal revelation of Jesus. The second is what will you have me do? This question delivers personal purpose and life’s assignment. You must know the person of Jesus and what He wants you to do with your life. Until Saul, who later became Paul found answers to these two questions, he was living like a vagabond on the earth. Even though he looked successful among the religious people and lawyers of his time.

“I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.” Job 42:5

“And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Matthew 4:19

Your life can never remain the same if you have a personal revelation of Jesus. You must go beyond second-hand information and have first-hand information about Jesus through a personal encounter. More importantly, you must have a revelation about Jesus and be born again. Jesus has an assignment for you. You must find it if you want to stop living as one beating the air. He wants to make you into something that will make your life count here and for eternity.

May you know Jesus personally and the assignment He has for you in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Lord Jesus, reveal yourself to me and show me what you want me to do with my life.

Obedience is basic

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

You have one major responsibility if you want to grow as a Christian and become evidence of God’s Kingdom in your generation: obedience. God is truly sovereign but He cannot do anything on earth without an obedient person. God’s sovereignty is not a substitute for our responsibility. Obedience positions us to receive the fullness of God. This is based on absolute trust in God and receiving His understanding. Obedience is basic in our Christian journeys.

“And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:” Deuteronomy 28:1

“If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:” Isaiah 1:19

If you subject the things of God to the analysis of flesh and blood, you will walk in disobedience and miss the best of God (Gal 1:16; Acts 26:19). Beware of people who for emotional reasons teach you to disobey basic teachings of the bible. Such teachings may be sweet to your emotion, but poison to your destiny. Be a Berean Christian, study the scriptures, ask the Holy Spirit to teach and guide you; then obey the Word of God.

May you become what God wants you to be in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, kill every act of disobedience in me in Jesus name.

You are an heir of God

“Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all….Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.” Galatians 4:1-7

You are an heir of God through Christ. If you are in Christ, God does not see you as a servant but as an heir. However, as an heir, you can choose to be a child or a son. I advise you to choose to be a son because an heir is not different from a servant if he is still a child. He cannot have the inheritance of his father. Beloved, you must grow up and become a son if you must appropriate all that the Kingdom of God has to offer. Note that there is no gender in the Kingdom; son refers to both females and males.

“I have written unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I have written unto you, young men, because ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, and ye have overcome the wicked one.” 1 John 2:14

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.” Romans 8:14

As a son, God sees you as a young man. This is not about age; it is about spiritual positioning and your relationship with God. A man of 65 can be a young man in the Kingdom, while a young man of 25 can be a father, and vice versa. You must grow from being a young man to becoming a father. As a son, you must be led by the Holy Spirit and be strong in the Lord. In addition, the word of God must abide in you and you must overcome the wicked one. If you are still struggling to obey God in the basics of the things of the Spirit, you might have sentenced yourself to be a servant in the Kingdom.

May the son in you manifest in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, help me to know you deeper and to walk higher with You in Jesus name.

This is more important

“I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.” Psalms 32:8

Let me show you what is more important than your challenges, your action. If your action is based on His instruction, teaching, or leading, then the result of your challenges is predictable, victory. Our text this morning is one of the best promises we can receive from God to scale through all odds in this dark and unfamiliar world. God said He will instruct you, teach you, and guide you. I believe you know that if you have an excellent guide, you don’t have to worry even in a strange and unknown terrain. However, you must follow the guide totally, if you don’t want to get lost.

“Thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.” Isaiah 48:17

“Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.” Isaiah 28:16

The truth is that you will have to take an action anyway when faced with any issues in life. The question is whether you would take a wise or foolish action. You can never be a fool if you follow God. Don’t be in a haste no matter the case, but seeks His guidance. If you are guided by God, you will get supernatural results.

May you patiently wait on God in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, instruct me, teach me, and guide me in Jesus name.

God’s work demystified

“He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.” Psalms 103:7

God’s work is demystified through His Word. We know what God will do and can do through His Word. Access into the mysteries of His word is access to His ways and actions. Jesus is God revealed in the flesh.  He is the Word that became flesh.  A personal revelation of the person and the principle is Jesus is what you need to unravel the mysteries of God and His work. Jesus has in this dispensation given us the Holy Spirit to reveal all things to us.

“Philip saith unto him, Lord, show us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?” John 6:8-9

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” John 1:14

The permanent solution to life challenges is to know God’s ways and to walk in them. As long as we are in this world, we will always have challenges. However, we will always be on top of our challenges if we walk the way Jesus walked on earth. This is why the prayer that Paul prayed for the Colossians church is relevant for us today, “For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;”

May you know and walk in God’s way in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, fill me with the knowledge of Your will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding  in Jesus name.

Make His word your word

“And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.” Genesis 1:2-3

Faith begins when the will of God is known and activated when the will of God is declared. Moreover, when faith is in place, victory is guaranteed. To change our situation, no matter how difficult it is, we must make His word our word. I believe we must find out what the word of God says about our situation and declare it, if we desire a change. Your condition is subject to change if you say what God is saying.

“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” 1 John 5:4

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Joshua 1:8

The word of God must be in your mouth, no matter the case. Dry bones shall live if they hear the word of God. The mountains shall move if they hear the word of God. The sea and the Jordan shall give way if they hear the word of God. All things, both the living and the non-living, have the capacity to hear the word of God. Your trouble shall become a stepping-stone if you declare the word of God on it.

May you experience victory in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I declare by the word of God, it is well with my soul, in Jesus name.

Rest in time of trouble

“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” 1 Peter 5:7

One of the indicators of a strong spirit is rest and peace in a time of trouble. This is based on absolute trust in God who is beautiful for all situations and who does not fail in His promises. He cares so much for us and He has enough space to bear our burdens and carry our sorrows. We must tell Him our concerns and expect His intervention. This is the way we can receive the rest He has provided even when all odds are against us.

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28

“And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full. And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?” Mark 4:37-38

The disciples knew that Jesus could deliver them from the storm. However, they did not know that He cared enough to deliver them. Jesus did not only care for them, He expected them to be at rest and to exercise their faith by speaking to the storm. Jesus is your rest in any challenging time, take your burden to Him and leave it with Him.

All time rest is your portion in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, take my burdens and my cares in Jesus name.

Develop a strong spirit

“And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him.” Luke 2:40

Jesus as a son of man had a strong spirit; we too must develop a strong spirit. There has never been a trying time such as the one we are in right now in the world. A strong spirit is what sustains us in any kind of trouble (Prov 18:14). A strong spirit is confident, established, unmovable, and ready for anything. A strong spirit is steady under pressure, full of joy and peace, and it never quits. A strong spirit will get through anything: physical attacks, financial problems, relational difficulties, career setbacks, and whatever the devil throws at you.

“The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; but a wounded spirit who can bear?” Proverb18:14

“For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall.” Psalm 18:29

Perhaps your spirit is wounded, may your spirit be healed in Jesus name. You need a strong spirit to run through a troop and leap over a wall. To build a strong spirit feed on God’s word (Matthew 4:4). Keep yourself fit by reading the word, studying the word, confessing the word, praying, and standing in faith. Maintain deep personal fellowship with Lord.

May you wax strong in spirit in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, renew a right spirit within me in Jesus name.

Don't negotiate with the devil

“Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.” Daniel 3:16

Do not negotiate with the devil; God is able.  If you trust God, both ways, you win: you will not bow and you will not burn. You cannot go down trusting God, no matter what the devil throws at you. If you secure your relationship with God, fire cannot burn you; neither can any Lion eat you. The devil knows this so he wants to attack your relationship with God, so that if you give in, he will come in and wreak havoc. Your relationship with God is your strongest advantage in this world; never negotiate it with the devil.

“Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.” Daniel 3:28 “My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they have not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have I done no hurt.” Daniel 6:22

If God is for you, nothing can prevail against you. You are born of God, so you are an overcomer. Your victory is appropriated through the release of your faith. You can calm the storm and move your mountains; nothing shall be impossible for you if you believe God and act on your faith. What should you do? Prioritize your fellowship with God; if you must speak, speak the word only; Do whatever God asks you to do.

You shall not go down in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God send help to me speedily in Jesus name.

God will show up

“And Samuel said, What hast thou done? And Saul said, Because I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that thou camest not within the days appointed, and that the Philistines gathered themselves together at Michmash;” 1 Samuel 13:11

What do you do if you are at quarter to shame and there is no physical sign that God will show up? Wait a little longer, God will show up at the nick of time, you shall not be put to shame. If Saul had waited a little longer, he would not have lost the kingdom. Saul thought God could be late and he did what he should not have done. Beloved, God cannot be late, He will show up for you.

“Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” Ephesians 6:13

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” Philippians 4:6

Check if there is any disobedience in your life and deal with it. Do not worry, but pray. Sow your sacrificial seed and be grateful to God for what He has done and for what He will do. Keep on confessing God’s promises and expect a miracle. If you receive specific instruction from God, act promptly. Then stand with the confidence that God, your Father, has promised not to leave you or forsake you.

You will have a testimony in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God manifest Your power in my life in Jesus name.

The seed under attack

“And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.” Genesis 3:15

Your future is in your seed. Your victory over the enemy is in your seed. This is why your seed is under attack. Your seed can be your children. Your seed can be a vision you received from God or an idea that came into your heart. Your seed can also be something in your hand that you must release to secure your harvest.  Your seed can be the destiny given to you by God. The enemy tried to kill Jesus as a seed, but he could not. Why? Because Jesus was dedicated to God and God was jealous over Him. If you want to protect your seed, release him to God.

“That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.” Genesis 22:17-18

“For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.” Isaiah 54:3

See what God said about the seed of Abraham when he released him to God. If you are under mysterious attack, offer yourself as a seed unto God. Dedicate, consecrate and separate yourself unto God. Your seed shall multiply, possess the gate of the enemy, inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited, If you give him to God. The enemy can do nothing about a seed placed in the hand of God.

May your seed be protected by God in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I dedicate myself afresh unto God in Jesus name.

God shall exceed your expectations

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,” Ephesians 3:20

No matter what you are going through, the least you can do is to have a scriptural expectation of God. If it is less than that, it means you are allowing your situation to determine your expectation, and therefore you are limiting God. If you are afraid to believe for big things, you must spend time with God to enlarge your capacity. A revelation of the person of God will change both your thinking and your prayer life. God shall surely exceed your expectations.

“Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes;” Isaiah 54:2

“Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.” Psalms 2:8

The more you allow God’s power in your life, the more of His supernatural result you shall experience. No trouble can withstand His power no matter the source. You must magnify God above your challenges and expect his intervention. Your challenges cannot outlive God, if you invite His presence and power into your life.

God shall do beyond your expectations in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God manifest Yourself in my life above my thought and my prayer in Jesus name.

God’s cure for your trouble

“Fear not; for thou shalt not be ashamed: neither be thou confounded; for thou shalt not be put to shame: for thou shalt forget the shame of thy youth, and shalt not remember the reproach of thy widowhood any more.” Isaiah 54:4

God’s cure for your trouble is His word. If you can locate His word, believe it, pray it and confess it, you can get over any trouble. For example, our text this morning is one of God’s cures for any believer’s shame, whether in the past, in the present, or in the future. If any form of shame challenges you, you can pray or confess this scripture until you experience divine intervention.

“He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.” Psalms 107:20

“For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:10

God does not fail on His promises. It is people that fail in receiving the promise of God. When you confess His promise and do not doubt it, you will have it (Mark 11:23). If you pray and believe the promise, you will receive (Mark 11:24). God’s word is Him giving Himself to you as your solution to any challenge.

This is your day of celebration in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I decree that I shall not be put to shame in Jesus name.

Double for your trouble

“For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.” Isaiah 61:7

If you trust God and obey Him, He shall give you double for your trouble. Your shame shall give way for a double honor. Your confusion shall give way for direction. Your sadness shall give way for double joy. Our God is a restorer. He is an unchangeable changer. No matter your current situation, your future is predictable if you trust God. Your tomorrow shall be better than today.

“And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you. And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you: and my people shall never be ashamed.” Joel 2:25-26

“And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.” Job 42:10

Your affliction cannot last if you trust God, the affliction shall expire. Maintain fellowship with God, pray for people going through similar afflictions, and expect double for your trouble. Those who trust in the Lord are steady as Mount Zion, unmoved by any circumstance.  Your circumstance is subject to change, don’t be moved by it. Your restoration is near.

God shall turn your captivity in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, give me double for my trouble in Jesus name.

God or nothing

“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13

If you find God, you cannot fail in life. There is no substitute for God. To find God is to hear His voice and walk in it. You cannot hear God and obey Him, and fail. A man can be a hard worker and still fail. A man can be skillful and talented and still fail. Be hardworking, skillful, and talented, but don’t leave God out of the equation. If you have done all you thought you could do, but did not seek God, then you have done nothing. If you seek and find God, your unprofitable labor shall be turned around and your story shall change.

“Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.” Luke 5:4-6

“I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all.” Ecclesiastes 9:11

The answer to your present struggle is God, you must hear His voice. Peter was hardworking, he was in the sea at night while others were sleeping. However, he still failed. Until he encountered Jesus who gave him a word. Peter’s positive response to His word changed the story forever. Seek God with all your heart until you find Him, and your story shall surely change.

May you find God in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, lead me by Your voice and guide me by Your light in Jesus name.

God answers prayers

“And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?” Luke 18:7

God answers the prayers of His own elect. God’s elect should not give up in prayer. If they don’t and are persistent, the answer is guaranteed. God’s elect has a relationship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ. The bible called us a holy nation and peculiar people (1 Peter 2:9). God’s elect are His saints who are in covenant with Him by sacrifice.  God sees our persistence in prayer as an indication of faith, and cannot turn down our petitions; He will answer speedily (Luke 18:8).

“But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John. And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth.” Luke 1:13-14

“And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;” Luke 18:1

Zacharias is a perfect example of what I am talking about. He and his wife were described as both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless. He persistently and consistently petitioned God for a child despite the fact that he and his wife were old and had passed the human age of childbearing. God counted his persistence as faith and granted his petition, although he was praying in unbelief (Luke 1:18).  If you are God's elect, don’t give up in prayer, God shall surely answer you.

Your prayers are answered in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, let me have the results of prayers in my life in Jesus name.

God rewards your sacrifice

“Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.” Psalms 50:5

We cannot truly serve and worship God without being sacrificial. A life of sacrifice is rewarded by His covenant and His presence, which are the greatest blessings on earth. Your greatest sacrifice unto God is yourself, in which case you believe God and obey Him in all things. In this case, God Himself becomes your reward; He will own you and becomes jealous over you. If you have become God's sacrifice, it will not be difficult for you to sacrifice your money and your time. If you win in this, no enemy or situation can overcome you.

“For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.” Hebrews 6:10

“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Galatians 6:9

The enemy is always looking for a way to hinder the promises of God in your life, don’t allow him, be sacrificial. If he succeeds in convincing you not to give to the work of God and offer your service in His house, then he can rob you. If you are consistent in doing good in His house, God will reward you and you shall laugh last, no matter what you pass through. God cannot forget your labor of love, and neither can He deny you your harvest. If God's covenant is with you, no power or situation can subdue you.

May you be rewarded in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, receive me as Your living sacrifice and be jealous over me in Jesus name.

Anointed and blessed 2

“Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” John 3:5

Your access into God’s kingdom on earth is the anointing and the blessing. The anointing is your encounter with the Spirit of God. The blessing is your encounter with His word, the water. The anointing gives you victory over satan and his kingdom, while the blessing gives you access to your inheritance. In all your getting, get anointed and blessed.

“He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes; Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.” Psalms 105:14-15

“And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.” Genesis 32:26

No one can amount to anything without the blessing of God. Anyone who is not anointed can be wasted no matter how much material blessings he or she has. The anointing is a spiritual blessing upon a person. Both the anointing and the blessing are the rewards of a healthy relationship with God through Jesus Christ. God does not anoint or bless a rebel or a transgressor. The way of transgressors is hard. However, God will not cast out whosoever repents and comes to Him.

May you be anointed and blessed in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, bless me indeed, anoint me with the Holy Ghost and power in Jesus name.

Anointed and blessed 1

“As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God: when shall I come and appear before God?.” Psalm 42:1-2

As a Christian, you would not be able to do much with your life without the anointing and the blessing of God upon your life. This race cannot be run on the energy of the flesh, you need empowerment from heaven. The anointing is a reward for hunger and thirst after God. The blessing is a reward for obedience. Ask God to anoint and bless you in the name of Jesus.

“Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.” Isaiah 55:1

“And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.” Deuteronomy 28:2

If you are not anointed and blessed, you would not be able to run with men and not talk about horses (Jer 12:5). Although life is truly warfare and not a funfair, the anointing of God upon your life shall enable you to enjoy life and not endure life. Perhaps you are struggling with life, deal with any form of disobedience in your life and ask God to bless and anoint you.

May you be anointed and blessed in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, bless me indeed, anoint me with the Holy Ghost and power in Jesus name.

Decree a thing

“Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.” Job 22:28

If you see yourself, either as a king or as a believer in Christ, then you should know that you have the power to decree a thing and it shall be as you decreed. This is your power to change things in your life. What you decree matters to your mountains, to your storms, and to your Goliath. What you decree also matters for you to possess your possessions. Please do not keep quiet when a Goliath is harassing you or a storm is roaring against you, decree a thing. Your decree activates a force in the spirit and puts your Angels to work.

“Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?” Ecclesiastes 8:4

“We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;” 2 Corinthians 4:13

Your bold declaration is your decree. Jesus declared boldly to the storm to be still (Mark 4). He also spoke boldly to an unfruitful fig tree (Mark 11). He healed and delivered many simplify by declaring a word either on the situation or on the root of the problem. He said to us in Mark 11:23 that faith-filled words will always handle our mountains. David killed Goliath with his decree first before using the sling and the stone. Only those who boldly declared that possessing the Promised Land was possible actually possessed it.

May you always be bold to decree a thing in the midst of your challenges in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I decree that I am coming out of all challenges victoriously in Jesus name.

Believing is Seeing!!

“Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.” John 20:29

The kind of faith that Jesus taught us is “Believing is Seeing.” He told Thomas that the one who believes before seeing is blessed. In our faith walk, we must believe to see what we believe to happen. Seeing is believing is not biblical, it is the world’s philosophy. The Abraham kind of faith is also, “Believing is Seeing.” When God told Abraham that he would become the father of many nations, his body was dead so also was Sarah’s womb. However, he believed God and after some years, he received the fulfillment of the promise. Your "believing" is a prerequisite to God’s manifestation in your life. This is the kind of faith that works. This is the kind of faith known in the family of God.

“(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.” Romans 4:17-18

“(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)” 2 Corinthians 5:7

If you can believe that you have internal organs without seeing them, you can also believe the promises of God for your life in any situation. You only need to hear God in the midst of the storms and believe Him, if you want to overcome the storms of life.

May you believe God in every situation in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, answer Your name in my life in Jesus name.

Remember Deborah

“The inhabitants of the villages ceased, they ceased in Israel, until that I Deborah arose, that I arose a mother in Israel.” Judges 5:7

As we celebrate women’s day today in South Africa, I want us to remember Deborah, a woman of multiple grace. She was a prophetess, a judge, a warrior, and at the same time a wife and a mother. She did all things well. Her exploits outside her home did not affect her position as a wife and a mother. She was a well-balanced woman. God raised her as a mother in Israel and positioned her as a deliverer for the people of God. People may see you as a weaker vessel, but you can do great exploits if you would allow God to raise you and put His grace and wisdom upon you.

“And Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, she judged Israel at that time.” Judges 4:4

“But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;” 1 Corinthians 1:27

There is no limit to what God can do with an available and yielded vessel. When a woman or a man humbles herself or himself before God, she or he would become a mighty instrument in the hand of God. Deborah’s story tells us that you and I can have balanced and fulfilled lives no matter our limitations and challenges. As a woman, I challenge you to ask God to put His grace and wisdom upon you to be a balanced woman fulfilled both at home and in the field.

May God raise you for this generation in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, break me, mold me, fill me and use me in Jesus name.

You can begin again!!

“For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.” Ecclesiastes 9:4

It is not over for you physically and spiritually, you can begin again. I am bold to tell you that no matter the attack on your destiny, there is hope for you. You might have gone through an unfavorable season, the season shall change. The gift of life is an opportunity for you to begin again and still make your mark on earth. A living dog can definitely overtake the results of a dead lion. On this eighth day of the eighth month, let your strength be renewed within you to “refire” again.

“And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.” John 14:6

“When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole?” John 5:6

The prodigal son’s life took a new turn when he decided to go to his father and begin again. The man at the pool of Bethsaida had failed to receive his healing until he encountered Jesus and got a new beginning. It does not matter how old or young you are, you can begin again. Only you must turn to the Lord of a new beginning and let Him shine His light unto your path. Seek the face of the Lord until you know what to do.

May your strength return to you in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, give me the grace to begin again and make a mark with my destiny in Jesus name.

There is always a way

“Thus saith the Lord, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;” Isaiah 43:16

There is always a way, whether you are confronted by a sea or mighty water. Even if a Jericho wall or a troop confronts you, there is a way for you. My prayer for you is that you shall find the way in Jesus name. However, if you walk with the Lord, you will always find the way. He is the way, the truth, and the life. If only you could hear Him and walk in His counsel, you can never be stranded.

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6

“Thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.” Isaiah 48:17

You need to turn to the Lord for the veil to be removed and for your ear to be opened. Ask Him to show you what to do and expect direction from Him. Meditate on the scriptures; if the word is in your heart and in your mouth, you will always know what to do. Do not be a casual Christian; develop a personal relationship with the Lord. You cannot walk with Him and be a fool.

May you hear His voice in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, show me the path I must take for my breakthrough in Jesus name.

Word influenced lives

“And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.” Luke 5:5

You are influenced either by the Word or by the world. However, a Word-influenced life is an overcomer and winner at all times and in all situations. What the Word is saying is much more important than what the world is saying. What the world is saying includes what you can see, touch, feel, smell or taste. It includes the world's philosophies and ways of doing things. These are subject to change if you are driven and influenced by the Word of God. A Word-influenced life is a life of faith and the just shall live by faith.

“Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.” Matthew 7:24-25

“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” 1 John 5:4

I don’t care to know what you are going through, but I care to announce to you that if you can get a Word from the Lord, believe, declare, and act on it; you shall be victorious. This was what happened to Peter. He received, believed, and acted upon the Word to receive a turnaround miracle. A Word-influenced life is a life of daily miracle. Be hungry for the Word every day and do the Word always, if you want to walk in victory in this uncertain and wild world.

May you receive a Word for your situation in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, make me a hearer and a doer of Your Word in Jesus name.

Power of Now

Your hair shall grow again

“Howbeit the hair of his head began to grow again after he was shaven.” Judges 16:22

Samson lost his spiritual strength to his major weakness, which was women. However, his hair grew again, his source of supernatural strength returned and he did a greater exploit at the point of death than when he was strong and active. Even if the enemy shaved you and stole your glory, your hair shall grow again. Beloved, I see you recovering lost territories, doing great and mighty things for the Lord with your life. I see you manifesting the glory and the power of God again. Even if you have failed before, be confident to return to the Lord. I see you succeed where you have failed before.

“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:6

“And Moses said unto God, Who am I, that I should go unto Pharaoh, and that I should bring forth the children of Israel out of Egypt?” Exodus 3:11

Beloved, something might have gone wrong in your previous attempts, do not be discouraged. You can begin again! Your hair can grow again!! Moses went back to Egypt and delivered Israel despite the fact that he failed in his first attempt. Failure is never final; it is part of the success story. You can start that business again, you can start that ministry again, you can work on that invention again, you can pursue that career again, and you can go back to that university again.

May you receive fresh inspiration from God in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, restore my lost glory in Jesus name.

A man of integrity

“The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.” Proverbs 11:3

Integrity is a key to winning in any relationship, whether spiritual or physical. Double-dealings ruin relationships. A man of integrity shall be preserved in difficult situations. A man of integrity is a great asset to any community and the church. Can you be trusted with money and the opposite sex? Joseph’s destiny would have perished in Potiphar’s house, but for his integrity. Ananias and Sapphira were destroyed for lack of integrity. Integrity is simply doing the right thing whether people are watching or not.

“But he refused, and said unto his master's wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand; There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?” Genesis 39:8-9

“But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land? Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.” Acts 5:3-4

Integrity is your greatest asset no matter your status. If you are a Christian and you cannot be trusted with money and the opposite sex, you are denying the faith. The wise man said a good name is rather to be chosen than great riches (Prov 22:1). He also said that a good name is better than precious ointment (Ecc 7:1). Most times people are watching when you think they are not. The question is what would people say about you? More importantly, what would God say about you?

May you be a Christian known for integrity in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me in Jesus name.

A man of faith and power

“And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the people.... And they were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spake.”Acts 6:8-10

Stephen, although a deacon in the early church, was described as a man full of faith and power. Because of this, he did great wonders and miracles. His words carried so much wisdom and the anointing of the Holy Spirit such that no one could resist his words. He summarized the whole scriptures available in his days in less than a chapter of the bible. No doubt, he became a man of faith and power through his encounter with the Word and the Holy Spirit.

“Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.” Psalms 119:18

“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” Acts 10:38

You do not need a title to be a man of faith and power; you only need access to the mysteries of the Word and the anointing of the Holy Spirit.  This generation does not need worldly, lukewarm, and powerless Christians, but men and women full of faith and power. If the qualification to serve food was so high in the early church, should more not be expected from Christians in such a time like this? Beloved, you could be a man or a woman of faith and power if you desire to be. However, you must be willing to invest time in fellowship with Him and in meditation on the scriptures. You must have a personal revelation of the person of Jesus Christ and be filled with the Holy Spirit.

May you be a Christian full of faith and power in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, grant me access into the mysteries of Your Word and anointing me with the Holy Spirit and power in Jesus name.

Prayer of faith

“And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.” James 5:15

I believe that the prayer of faith will always bring results. I believe also that the prayer of faith is the breakthrough prayer that enables you to receive from God. The prayer of faith is a means to bring the supernatural into the natural. The prayer of faith is based on the word of God. The prayer of faith is Holy Spirit driven. If you commit your way unto the Lord in prayer, and you do not doubt, you are offering the prayer of faith.   The prayer of faith is offered in the name of Jesus.

“But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord.” James 1:6-7

“Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” Mark 11:24

Pray specifically on any request that you have. It does not matter how difficult and impossible the request may seem to be, our God is greater and higher than all things. This is the basis of the prayer of faith: if we ask anything in Jesus name, He will give it (John 14:14). There is no limit to what we can ask or receive from Him. As long as we ask in faith, we always receive.  Ask God to bless your destiny. Ask Him to empower you to fulfill His plans and purposes for your life. Ask Him to be with you in all that you do. When you do, declare that you believe that you have received.

May you receive answers as you pray in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, let there be results of prayer in my life in Jesus name.
