Your “intake” determines your “outtake”


“If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.” Proverbs 24:10

“But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Mathew 4:4

“And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” Daniel 11:32

Your true strength is the amount of information you have received and are willing to put to use, not the amount of food you eat. Your daily intake of knowledge determines your capacity to take what belong to you. Be aggressive first for the word from the Lord and then for useful information from men. You can never live beyond the level of information you have.

You will always dominate whatever comes your way if you are adequately informed spiritually and intellectually. The measure of your strength is the adversity you are able to handle. If you have “swallowed” God, you can handle any situation. 1 John 4:4, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” You will be weak if you are waiting for a man of God to do what you are supposed to do. Sit down, work on your knowledge of God and the exploits He has done through men.

I see you growing in grace as you work on your knowledge of God.

Prayer for today: Show me your way Oh God that I may be your instrument of exploits on earth in Jesus name.

Be expectant


“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,” Ephesians 3:20

Expectation comes before manifestation. Expect that God will always show up in your matter because you belong to Him. Although He is able to do more than our expectation, we still need to expect something from Him; and express it to Him in words. I discovered that unless we have a revelation, we always limit God in our expectations. There are two major factors that indicate our expectations: our thought and our asking.

What are you thinking about concerning yourself and your situation? Don’t be afraid to think big, because if you think big, God will do big. What have you asked the Lord today? I believe we must ask God everything. God will always do beyond our asking and imagination but we must ask and imagine Him doing great things in our lives. Stop imagining that things will go wrong, stop declaring what you don’t expect. Learn to think big and to ask big.

I ask God to do big things in your life today in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: My expectations, become manifestation in Jesus name.

Your case is different


“Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.” Mathew 7:24-25

It does not matter what is happening right now, at the end of it all you will be standing gloriously. This is because your case is different. Firstly, anyone who hears the word of God, believes His word and does His word is guaranteed victory come what may. Secondly, God is thinking about you.

Everything about the world is in the word. All things are shakable and changeable, only the word abides forever. Your positive response to the word makes your case to be different at all times. Paul said in the midst of deadly storm that made everyone in the ship to fast fourteen days without a Pastor instructing them, “ And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of any man's life among you, but of the ship. For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve, Saying, Fear not, Paul; thou must be brought before Caesar: and, lo, God hath given thee all them that sail with thee.” Acts 27:22-24. Beloved, make the word of God your priority, keep on meditating on the word. Keep on declaring the word. Keep on doing the word. This will make your case to be different.

Can you imagine the President of your Country calling you and telling you that he is thinking about you? I am sure you will be confident that your life will be turned around for good. How much more the God of heaven and earth, who has power over all things, temporal and eternal.

Jeremiah 29:11 say, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

Beloved, your case is different because God is thinking about you, He will give you an expected end.

May you experience the power of God in all areas of your life in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: O God arise and demonstrate your power in my life today. Let it be known that you are my God and my father in Jesus name.

Winning The Faith Fight 7


“David said to Saul, “Let no one lose heart on account of this Philistine; your servant will go and fight him.”” 1Samuel 17:32

To win the fight of faith you must be able to see ways where others see blockages. You must be able to see success where others see failure. You must be able to see victory where others see defeat. You must never take no for an answer from any situation or from man when God has given you a yes. You must see possibilities where others see impossibilities. David said to Saul about Goliath, who made all the warriors in Israel to run away, that he would go and fight him, and no one should be afraid. Beloved, that is faith in action.

Mary was told that she would be pregnant despite the fact that she was a virgin, she believed and accepted the message of God. One scripture story I love so much is the account of four friends of a sick man in Mark 2.

“Some men came, bringing to him a paralyzed man, carried by four of them. Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus by digging through it and then lowered the mat the man was lying on. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralyzed man, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”” Mark 2:3-5.

Beloved, if you can believe God and act on His word, you will walk through mountains and valleys and arrive in a place of glory and honour.

Winning The Faith Fight 6


“And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:7-8

If your faith says yes, God will never say no. Be persistent in prayers. Persistency is an evidence of the winning faith. If you believe God for it, don’t stop mentioning it in prayers until you receive it. The persistent widow said the same thing until she got answer, “Grant me justice against my adversary.” Jesus said that was faith. Bartimaeus shouted, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Jesus said so him, “your faith has healed you.” Jacob said from midnight till day break, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.” The Angel said to him, “Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel, because you have struggled with God and with humans and have overcome.” if you have faith, you will say it until you receive it. You will stay on one prayer point for hours and not be weary, until you have answers. The woman with the issue of blood thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.” When she put her thought into action, she was not refused. Although the anointing was meant for the twelve-year-old dead daughter of Jairus, she quickly harnessed it for the healing of her twelve years old issue of blood. Jesus said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”

I see you getting results with your faith.

Winning The Faith Fight 5


“But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.” Mathew 14:30-32

Let Jesus help your faith. There can be situations when you are really afraid and your faith will fly away. But in this kind of situation you can still win the faith fight if you allow Jesus to hold your hand and help you. Note in our text today that Peter doubted because of the wind and began to sink. However, when Jesus held his hand, he continued to walk on water despite the fact that the wind was still there. The wind did not stop until they both entered the boat. Peter still won the faith fight because Jesus helped him. Jesus is willing to help you to win with your faith.

“Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”” Mark 9:23-24

Jesus helped the faith of the father of the child by setting his child free. Jesus will help you too. Spend time with Jesus in prayer, worship and meditation on the scriptures. The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” (Luke 17:5). If you are having difficulty in believing God, ask Jesus to help you.

I decree, you have the winning faith in Jesus name.

Winning The Faith Fight 4


“That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” Hebrews 6:12.

Patience is a major factor to win the faith fight. You must be in constant agreement with the promise in changing circumstances until the promise manifest. What this means is that you must keep on confessing or acting on the word whether your situation agrees with it or not until your situation agrees with it. If you are believing God for healing, keep on declaring the word whether it gets better or not until your body begin to respond and you eventually get better. The manifestation of the promise is instant in the spirit but may take time in the physical. During this time of waiting, you must hold the promise as a tangible substance. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1).

In Mathew 14:29-32, Peter walked on water based on the word he received from Jesus. He lost grip of the word and started sinking because of the wind, a change in the situation. The word works in all situations, faith is a winner at all times. Never lose grip on your faith no matter how long it takes and what happens on the way.

I see God’s promises coming to pass in your life in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Lord help me to be constant in faith no matter what happen. I receive grace to patiently walk in faith until I see results in Jesus name.

Winning The Faith Fight 3


“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” 1 John 5:4

When God’s word is spoken and heard, faith is born. This word is superior to your situation and circumstances. It has power to make all things conform to it, if it is believed, declared and acted upon. Faith becomes a fight when the evidence seems to be contrary to the word. If you choose to believe the evidence you lose but if you believe the word you win. Twelve spies were sent to the promised land. They all saw the same things but ten of them decided to believe what they saw while the other two believed the promise. Only the two that believed the word of God got into the land. Jairus was told that his daughter was dead. Jesus said he should not be afraid but needed only to believe. He believed Jesus, and his daughter passed from death to life. Any situation is subject to change, when there is a word for it.

“Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.” Luke 5:4-6.

Beloved, to win the faith fight, ask for a word. And whatever the word says, do it.

Winning The Faith fight 2


“Jesus says, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, move from here to there, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you” [Matthew 17:20, Luke 17:6].
Faith has capacity to grow so a little faith is all you need. Just like the biggest plant is in the small mustard seed. Your greatest miracle is in your little faith. Never doubt the power of your little faith. The evidence of your faith is in your “saying.” Say to the mountain where it should move to. The mountain is waiting for what you will say to it. If you say something to it, it will obey. If you say nothing, it will just stay there. If you can say it, nothing will be impossible for you. Say it until you see it. All situations that are confronting you are waiting for your instruction through your faith filled words.
Ezekiel was taken to the valley full of dried bones in Ezekiel 37. The dried bones became a mighty army after a series of instructions given by Ezekiel as revealed to him by God. The bones came together. The flesh came upon them. The spirit came into them. All because Ezekiel said it to them.
Beloved, to win the faith fight, you must say something that agrees with your faith.
That mountain is crumbling before you in Jesus name.

Winning The Faith fight 1


“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:” 2 Timothy 4:7

Faith is a good fight. One reason is that the world-way is different from the bible-way, you must keep the faith in Christ and in His word. Another reason is that your present situation does not represent the best of God for you. You must see what God has for you and experience it despite your present situation. This also takes the faith fight. Lastly when the facts and the truth are not in agreement, you need faith to turn the fact to the truth.

Faith is a life time fight. You must understand it and use it for you to truly live on earth. Habakkuk 2:4, Roman 1:17 and Hebrews 10:38 emphasized that the Just shall live by faith. Anytime you need to challenge the status quo and make change a reality, the weapon of faith must be handy. When faith is present, result is inevitable.

Faith is both a gift and a fruit. This means God can give you the gift of faith and you can also develop faith. Lastly for this introduction of the series “Winning the faith fight,” patience and hope are faith enhancers.

Three forces that determine your life 3


“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” 1 Cor 13:13

The greatest force that determines your life is the force of love. When this force is operating in your life you will enjoy the fullness of God. When this force is operative, all the laws of God are automatically obeyed. Romans 13:10 says, “Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.” Mathew 22:37-40 says, “Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” This force will always conquer poverty, infirmity, and all forces of evil. This force is about loving God, loving yourself and loving your neighbor. If you love God, you will obey Him. If you obey God, He will bless you, protect you, guide you and help you. The presence of God is with them who obey Him. You may pass through fire and through water, if the presence of God is with you, you will come out victoriously. If you love yourself, you will live a purposeful life. You will develop yourself, set goals, go after your goals and never give up. If you love your neighbor, you will not do him harm.

May the force of love be operative in your life. May you get to your promised land in Jesus name.

Three forces that determine your life 2


“For there is hope for a tree, If it is cut down, that it will sprout again, And that its tender shoots will not cease. Though its root may grow old in the earth, And its stump may die in the ground, Yet at the scent of water it will bud And bring forth branches like a plant.” Job 14:7-9

The second force that determines your life is the force of hope. This is the force that keeps you moving towards your goal in life. In life, the roads are not always smooth. There are valleys, mountains, seas, and rivers to be crossed. If the force of hope is not present, the heart becomes weak and the journey may be truncated. The force of hope gives reinforcement to the force of faith. Beloved, never lose hope no matter what you are passing true. A man may be breathing but if he has lost hope, he has lost his life.

Our text today says there is hope for a tree that is cut down, it will come up again. Even when its root grows old and dies in the ground, there is still hope for it. A contact with water will revive the tree. I do not know the level you are now, but there is something I know, there is hope for you.

Ecclesiastes 9:4 says, “For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.” There is a connection that will never fail you and that is your connection with Jesus. If you are joined to Him, I can tell you with all assurance that there is hope for you: your future is bright and beautiful no matter the state of the present. Micah 7:8 says, “Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.” Beloved, may be people are rejoicing because you are down now. Don’t lose hope because if you don’t, their laughter will not last. The light of God shall rise on you; you shall rise again.

Beloved, keep the picture of your glorious future before you. If you don’t lose hope, you will get there.

Three forces that determine your life 1


“Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith [your trust and confidence in My power and My ability to heal] it will be done to you.”” Mathew 9:29 (AMP)

The first of the three forces that determine your life is Faith.  By the word “determine,” I mean control what is already happening in your life or what will happen in future. Faith according to Amplified version means trust and confidence. Faith is simply acting or speaking what you believe. In this message, I will use faith, believe and trust interchangeably. Whatever you believe, you have permitted to control your life. What is manifesting in your life and what will manifest in your life is determined by what you believe, your faith. Whatever or whoever you trust is given power to control or determine what happens to you. If you don’t like the evidences in your life, you will have to work on your faith. You can change contrary situation by believing the positive, acting and declaring it. In Mark 5:36, when Jairus was told that his daughter was dead, Jesus said to him, “don’t be afraid, only believe.” The question is “believe what?” I think, believe that his daughter was not dead! Jairus did, he believed that Jesus could still help him and that his daughter was not dead despite the fact that he has been told that she was dead. When Jesus got to Jairus house, he sent out the mourners, the people that believed that the girl was dead.

Beloved, be in charge of your life by meditating on the word of God, believing and declaring the word. Keep the company of those who believe and begin to see the word manifesting in your life.

Winning with your skills 5


“Then Jesus returned to Galilee, filled with the Holy Spirit's power. Reports about him spread quickly through the whole region.” Luke 4:14.

You are talented but get anointed too!

You came into the world packaged with talents, that is the gift of God to you for your life and destiny. But you must spend time with God to be anointed with the Holy Ghost and power. The anointing will help you to make unusual things happen with your skills and talents. Act 10:38 says, “how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.” The anointing will also preserve you. Psalm 105:14-15 says, “He let no man oppress them; He rebuked kings on their behalf: “Do not touch My anointed ones; do no harm to My prophets.”” You cannot be anointed and be wasted.

If you are a doctor, be an anointed doctor; if you are a businessman, be an anointed businessman; if you are an engineer, be an anointed engineer; if you are a pastor, be an anointed pastor. Whatever you do be anointed. Anointing will help you win with your skills. To get anointed, you must personally spend time with God. Jesus returned to Galilee anointed after spending 40 days and 40 nights in the presence of God. He continued to spend time daily with God early in the morning or late into the night to stay anointed.

Winning with your skills 4


“Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.” Philippians 3:12

Right attitude is critical to winning with your skills. Right attitude means doing what you are supposed to do when no one is watching or when no reward is in view. Right attitude means not giving up on yourself. Right attitude means being consistent until the time of your manifestation. Right attitude means staying excited when things are not working. Right attitude means doing what is supposed to be done at the time it is supposed to be done whether you feel like it or not. Right attitude means to discipline yourself to handle people and your time wisely. Right attitude means not categorizing any opportunity as unimportant. Right attitude means putting in your best at all times. Right attitude means pressing on towards the goal.

Joseph and Daniel in the bible had something in common. They had the right attitude. They maintained their success habits even when their environment was harsh and eventually they manifested. Joseph kept his joy when in the prison and still interpreted other people dreams. He did not allow the prison to deter him from using his skills. Daniel kept on praying even when there was a decree against that. He maintained his contact with the God that promoted him.

Never forget this, no matter how skillful you are, you need attitude to win with your skills.

Winning with your skills 3


“In the morning David wrote a letter to Joab and sent it with Uriah. In it he wrote, “Put Uriah out in front where the fighting is fiercest. Then withdraw from him so he will be struck down and die.”” 2 Samuel 11:14-15.

When there are no ‘right’ people, skills become dormant. Dormancy is a state of “death” when a thing is not doing what it is supposed to do. Uriah was a skillful fighter; he was named among the best fighters of David (2 Samuel 23:39). He died in the battle not because he was not talented but because people withdrew from him. I pray for you that the people that will make you win with your skills shall come into your life in Jesus name. No matter how skillful you are, you must not be alone.  Even the greatest football player can only succeed if there is a team. Ecclesiastes 4:9 says, “Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor.” The truth is that you need a man for your skills to cross from obscurity to limelight. Amos 7:5 says, “Then said I, O Lord God, cease, I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.” What should you do? Use your talent at any opportunity you have whether small or big. David was playing for the sheep in the wilderness but unknown to him, a servant of the king saw him (1 Samuel 16:18). Be diligent, “Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.” Stay where God wants you to stay (Genesis 26:3). Choose right friends (Amos 3:3). Pray the right people into your life (Mathew 7:7). Invite the people that you know can help you (Mathew 4:9)

Your destiny shall speak in Jesus name.

Winning with your skills 2


“If the ax is dull, And one does not sharpen the edge, Then he must use more strength; But wisdom [brings success.” Ecclesiastes 10:15

Skills must be sharpened to be productive. A footballer must do training to be fit on the football field no matter how skillful he is. Training is needed to be effective in the use of your skills. No matter how talented you are, if you are not trained, the skill may not produce the expected result.

Mentoring in particular allow you to see other ingredients that must be added to your skill in order to be effective. Samuel was mentored by Eli. 1 Samuel 3:9 says, “So Eli told Samuel, “Go and lie down, and if he calls you, say, ‘Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening.’” So Samuel went and lay down in his place.” Elisha was mentored by Elijah. Formal and informal education, apprenticeship is important for skills to be sharpened. It is wisdom to determine what you need to sharpen your skills.

I decree that you are manifesting with the use of your skills in Jesus name.

Winning with your skills 1


 “But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” Hebrew 5:14

You are skillful and talented in something. You must discover your skill and use it in order to win with it. Skills put to use grow, while dormant skills die. Also when you put your skills to use, you become a master of it. A lot of people are busy being envious of other people’s talent and neglecting their own. Such people end up being second best and at worst missing everything.

““Then he who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.’” Mathew 25:24-25.

The person with one talent in this parable lost everything to the person who had ten because he became envious and did not put his own to use.

Beloved, there is gold mine of skills within you, mine it.
