Celebrating the birth of Christ

“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.” Mathew 1:21

God ordained that Jesus Christ be born for Him(God) to touch the world. Jesus is the word became flesh and we are flesh. It is the flesh that can save, help and deliver the flesh. This is the reason behind the birth of Christ.

Beloved, I know you have your own plans as to how you will celebrate this Christmas but do your plans include touching other people’s lives? Do you have around you people that do not have cloth, shoes, food and the necessities of life? Then you will be doing the same thing God did by bringing about the birth of Christ if you move to meet their physical needs.

Celebration of good things will not cease in your home in Jesus name.
Merry Xmas.

Why You Have Been Winning

“Hast thou not heard long ago how I have done it, and of ancient times that I have formed it? now have I brought it to pass, that thou shouldest be to lay waste fenced cities into ruinous heaps. Therefore their inhabitants were of small power, they were dismayed and confounded; they were as the grass of the field, and as the green herb, as the grass on the housetops, and as corn blasted before it be grown up.” 2Kings 19:25

Beloved, give God praise because you have been winning and succeeding because of His backing in your life.

Sennacherib the King of Assyria had been conquering nations and he came to attack Judah. In his words to Hezekiah and Judah, he boasted of conquest as if it was by his might that all the exploits were done. Hezekiah presented Sennacherib letter to the Lord. The Lord now spoke the words of our text through His prophet. It was clear that Sennacherib did all the exploits because God ordained it to be so. God actually weaken the Nations before him so that he could conquer them. Beloved, people who have better qualifications, connections, skills, failed this year but because God is on your side you have been winning. God has sent me to open your eyes to giving him high praise and thanksgiving for His backing in your life.

You will continue to win and succeed in Jesus name.
Wishing you a merry Christmas and a happy new year.

Truly blessed

“Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered.” Ps 32:1

Sin is the disease of the Spirit, Poverty is the disease of the Soul (Mind) and Sickness is the disease of the Body. Satan is the origin of all these but Jesus provides solution to all. Jesus took our position of sin, poverty and sickness so that we might be free (Is 53:5, 2cor 8:9, 3John 1:2).

If you are wealthy but you are living in disobedience to God, you are not blessed because if you fail to repent you will end up in hell fire (Luke 16:19-31). If you are saved from sin and you are sick in your body or live in poverty, you are not blessed. A truly blessed man is saved from sin, has material blessings and is healthy.

Now the truth is that Jesus has finished the work for you to be truly blessed, what you need to do is to enforce what He has done for you. Let every wicked person repent and prayed through his salvation. Let every poor saint believe God, act on His word and pray through his prosperity, Let every sick saint believe God, act on His word and pray through his healings.

Beloved, if you are truly blessed, stay blessed; if you need to be blessed, get blessed.

Your Wilderness is Over

"Speak tenderly to Jerusalem. Tell her that her sad days are gone..." Is 40:2 New living Translation.
The time of wilderness is a time of endurance, discipline and patience but after it comes the promise land where there is joy of accomplishment, fulfilment and abundance.

God told me to tell you that your wilderness is over, your sad days are gone!!!

40days in the wilderness is the school great men pass through before their manifestation. Our Lord Jesus went through it and He came out in the power of the Spirit (Lk 4:14). David, Joseph and Daniel went through it and came out to take the throne. It was a preparation time for their great destinies to take shape. It cannot be prayed or fasted out but grace is available. Someone said if gold is your choice, furnace must necessarily be your passage. 40days in the wilderness can be interpreted to mean different durations in the lives of men. For some, it may be few weeks while for others it may be some months but after it is the promised land. Now forty one days (any extra day) in the wilderness is abnormal. It happened to the Isrealites (40years) so that we can learn from them. 1Cor 10: 1-10 gave us five keys to put an end to wilderness in our lives. These are:
1. Desire good things
2. Dont allow any other thing to take the place of God in your life
3. Dont pollute your body
4. Believe God's word and promises
5. Don't murmur but give praise to God as you enter into your promise land.
Your wilderness is over. Your prayers are answered. It is your time for your promised land in Jesus name.

The Year 2008 Not Over Yet

“In the year that Evilmerodach became king of Babylonia, he showed kindness to King Jehoiachin of Judah by releasing him from prison. This happened on the twenty-seventh day of the twelfth month of the thirty-seventh year after Jehoiachin had been taken away as prisoner.” 2kings 25:27.

Hear the word of the Lord, this year is not over yet, it will still deliver your expectation. May be you are believing God for something, is it the salvation of a loved one or spiritual blessing? Is it promotion or material blessing? Is it the fruit of the womb or marital blessing? Is it healing or deliverance? Beloved, whatever it is that you are believing God for, don’t give up, God will still visit you this year in the name of Jesus.

Jehoiachin had been a prisoner for 37years but his miracle came in December 27 of a particular year. He thought he would end that year in captivity but God turned his situation around. If you read the next verse, he was not only released but was also blessed. I declare to you that your expectation shall not be cut off in the name of Jesus.

Cast all your burden on Jesus because He cares for you.

Strategize

“And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature. And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.” Luke 19:3-4

Sometimes you may have a God-given goal to accomplish and yet, the environment is not conducive and your personal attribute is not favorable; then what do you do? Hear the word of the Lord, you can still accomplish your goal, only strategize.

Zacchaeus wanted to see Jesus, that is worthwhile, isn’t it? Unfortunately the crowd was much, that is, the environment was harsh and also he was a short man - his personal attribute was not supportive either. Many would have given up but not Zacchaeus, he strategized: he found a Sycamore tree ahead, ran ahead of the crowd and climbed it. As a result Jesus located him and he was a host to Jesus the same day.

Beloved, there is a way to beat your limitations and accomplish your goal, find it. You may have to pray, think or study, in any case search it out and strategize.

Your Destiny shall manifest in Jesus name.

Experts’ report vs God’s report

“And said unto them, Sirs, I perceive that this voyage will be with hurt and much damage, not only of the lading and ship, but also of our lives. Nevertheless the centurion believed the master and the owner of the ship, more than those things which were spoken by Paul.” Act 27:10-11.

When the reports of Experts contradict God’s report, discard experts’ report and believe God’s report.

On the voyage to Rome, Paul perceived trouble ahead but the owners of the ship, the experts said they should continue. The Centurion accepted the experts’ advice and discarded Paul’s advice. As a result the voyage went through trouble and they almost lost their lives.

A Pastor friend told me a pathetic story of a couple who are believing God for the fruit of the womb. They had a surgery scheduled for the woman for fibroid. But the woman remembered that she had missed her period for two months. The experts adviced that they should go ahead with the surgery without doing another scan. The Couple so much trusted the expert that they did not even tell their Pastor. The Doctor apologized to them last week that his conscience would not allow him to rest because as he started the surgery, he discovered a life baby in the womb of the woman.

Beloved, it is better to obey God rather than men. It is also more blessed to trust God rather than men.
Remain blessed.

Principle vs Sentiment

“Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.” Act 10:34-35.

God is a principled God. He does not operate by sentiment. When you walk in His word, you move Him. David learned in a hard way that crying does not move him but faith does. In 1Samuel 30, when they had cried and nothing happened, he sought to know the will of God concerning the situation. And when he acted on God’s word, He received victory.

Beloved, God does not expect you to operate by sentiment but by the principle of His word. Someone says it is detrimental to be sentimental. Action based on the principle of God’s word will make you to please God, protect you against the enemy, and give you success at all times (Joshua 1:8).

In Act 10, Although Cornelius was not saved, he sought the Lord in fasting, praying and giving of alms, and God accepted him. God sent Peter to preach salvation to him. God saved him and his household and also baptized them in the Holy Spirit. If you do what God commanded, you will be accepted and He will ensure that you get what you need even when you never ask for it.
Remain blessed

Bible Alive

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:” 2Tim 3:16

I had just read the scripture to our congregation last Sunday when I asked how many of them have heard God in the recent times. Nobody raised his hand. I discovered that people are waiting for God to speak to them audibly before they can be assured that God is talking to them. The people of God will begin to see the greatest breakthrough of their lives if they will take the Bible as God speaking to them. Faith has no root unless God has spoken. But the truth is that you can always know what God is saying by going to your Bible. When you take what you have read in the Bible as God speaking and you act on it, you will see the supernatural acts of God.

I read one testimony about ArchBishop Benson Idahosa of blessed memory when he was an ordinary church member. His Pastor read and preached from Mathew 10:8 that Jesus commanded his disciples to raise the dead among other things He commanded them to do. He asked his Pastor whether he had raised a dead person before and the Pastor said No; he asked whether he could do it and the Pastor said Yes. Acting on this scripture, he started looking for a dead person to bring back to life. He eventually got one and through prayer based on the written word of God, the dead was brought back to life.
Beloved, do you want to hear God? Then take your Bible and see God talking to you.
You are saved to do great exploit!

How to Knock Out Your Trouble!

“And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” Mathew 17:20

Have you ever noticed that no matter how big a problem is in the Bible God always proffer little solution just like a mustard seed faith to move a mountain of trouble? God’s answer to man’s problem is always the often neglected or seemingly foolish measure. It was a rod that parted the red sea for the Israelites to pass on the dry land. David killed the giant Goliath with a sling and a stone. It was a little oil that saved a Prophet’s widow from the creditors. It was only seven times bath in the Jordan River that healed Naman’s leprosy. A touch delivered the woman with the issue of blood from twelve years old trouble. A word from the Lord was what delivered Peter from all nights struggle. The friends of the bridegroom at the marriage in Cana of Galilee had to fetch water to save him from the reproach of the finished wine.

Are you presently facing a trouble? I don’t care how long it has been but I care to announce to you that you can knock it out! All you need is an instruction, a word from the Lord. Let me tell you how to get this: Don’t be afraid but worship God, give Him praise and thank Him; speak to the trouble and then ask God for a specific instruction on the issue. Keep on doing these with confidence and expectation until you seethe result.

You will not be disappointed; for your shame you shall have double in Jesus name.

A Must to Have

“And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” Daniel 11:32

Two things are common to both Joseph and Daniel. One of these is that both of them became leaders in a strange land where they entered as Slaves. The other is that both of them could not do without God. Both of them had such a relationship with God that they heard what others could not hear, knew what others could not know, had insights that were not available to others and so they became rulers in strange lands. Joseph would not trade his relationship with God for anything not even for a sinful relationship with his master’s wife. He knew that if God was with him, he would survive any situation. Daniel’s life also proved to us that a man that has God cannot be eaten by Lions no matter how hungry they are.

Beloved, God is a must to have for us to rule in this world today. We must get to the level where we won’t give up our relationship with God for anything in this world. This is the level at which we can get the best from God for our destinies and for people around us.

Separate time to know God because grace and mercy flow towards a man who has the knowledge of God through Jesus Christ. “For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.” Psalm 107:9

Higher Level of prayer

“Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.” Job 22:28

One level of prayer is when you pray the word of God which is the will of God. 1 John 5:14-15 says “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”

Beloved, there is another level of prayer which I call a higher level. It is the level where God wants all His children to operate. It is the level when you decree and it is established. This was the level Elijah operated when he told King Ahab “As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.” 1Kings 17:1. This was the level Peter operated when he told the lame man at the beautiful gate “In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.” Acts 3:6. At this level you ask for what you will and it is done. I am happy to tell you that you can operate at this level of prayer.

John 15:7 says “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” The Bible says for this to happen, you must abide in Jesus and His word must abide in you. Beloved, when you stay in God’s presence long enough and you meditate on His word long enough, you will attain a level whereby your will and God’s will are the same and whatever you decree will be established. The truth is that at this point you operate at the same level as God (mathematically speaking if A¢B and B¢A then A=B) John 10:35 says “If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;” Elijah stood long enough before God and he could tell the king that only what he said would determine what happened in the nation of Israel. You too can do it.

If things have not been working the way you expect in your life, don’t panic! Begin to spend time with God and His word, then you will become a “god” over the situation that is harassing you.

It is well.
(for further study on this meditate on Job 22:21-28; John 15:1-8)

Your Key Into Kingdom Treasure

“And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Mathew 16:17-18.

Your access to kingdom treasure is revelation. The kingdom is full of joy, righteousness, peace, wealth, health and power. You don’t get these by your own wisdom or by the wisdom of this world. You don’t get these by cheating, stealing or maneuvering of any kind. Whenever you get a revelation and act on it, your level changes.

God’s intention is that the Church will have dominion on earth by revelation; that we would have access to His Kingdom treasure on earth by revelation of His word. But the truth is that revelation is not found on the surface, it is sought out as a man would dig gold or precious stone from the earth. You must spend time with God to access this revelation. Your attendance of Sunday service and weekly service is not enough. You say Pastor but I am very busy; beloved no matter how busy you are, you can begin to see the benefit of spending extra time with God in your business, career, family and destiny. You are more than what you are now and revelation is the key that will take you to where you should be.

I ask God to make these last three months in 2008 the best for you in this year in Jesus name.

Your Capability

“He gave to each one according to his ability: to one he gave five thousand gold coins, to another he gave two thousand, and to another he gave one thousand. Then he left on his trip.” Mathew 25:15.(GNB)
God always give to you according to your ABILITY. The resources with God is unlimited, it is your ABILITY that determines what gets to you. If you are not satisfied with your present position, work upon yourself: study the Bible more, pray more, read more books, attend more trainings, learn more, do more than you are paid for whether you are in employment or personal business; and surely you will receive more from God. God will not give you what you are not capable of handling. When your capability increases, you will receive more.
It is time for the next level.

When the mind is closed!

“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:……..” Proverbs 23:7.

Beloved, free your mind for when the mind is closed, road is closed. The greatest restriction a man can experience in life is the restriction in his mind. Prayer and fasting can subdue any opposition even if mounted by the devil himself but if a man is opposing himself in his mind he cannot be helped. Remember the man at the pool of Bethesda wasted 38years because he limited his mind to the help of men only.

The problem is that most times we close our mind because of the words of men, our experiences and what we see around us but the Bible is the final authority over our lives; and the Bible says all things are possible for him that believes. Reject any message of impossibility even if given by the professionals and the so called experts. Remember that the Wright Brothers flew the first plane few months after the experts concluded that man could never fly in the air. Saul told David in 1Samuel 17:33: “…….Thou art not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him: for thou art but a youth, and he a man of war from his youth.” But David still went on to kill Goliath. Say to yourself several times: “All things are possible;” be liberal in your thinking in the light of God’s word, go out and do the impossible.

This second half of the year 2008, you shall accomplish what people say you cannot do in Jesus name.

Three Encounters Needed In Life

“Suddenly, Moses and Elijah appeared and began talking with Jesus” Mt 17:3 (New Living translation)
You need to encounter the Savior (Jesus), your prophet (Elijah) and your Word (Moses) for you to stay victorious always in life’s challenges.
THE SAVIOR: One must accept the Lord Jesus as Savior and Lord for one’s life to have meaning and one’s destiny to take shape. There is no true life purpose outside Christ. “…..He (God) has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do things He planned for us long ago” Eph 2:10b (New Living Translation). People that are outside Christ are blinded by the devil (2Cor 4:4) and are controlled by him (Eph 2:2).Now, one is not a Christian because he attends church services, sings choruses or even preaches on the pulpit. One is a Christian because Christ lives in him and this can happen if you repent from your sin, believe the atonement power of the blood through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ and confess Jesus as Savior and Lord.
YOUR PROPHET: Your prophet may be your Pastor , a Man of God that ministers to you or Father in the Lord but he is someone who carries the grace, the blessing and the word to shape your life and to lift you above spiritual barriers. Your prophet is to you what Melchizedech is to Abraham (Gen 14:19); what Samuel is to obedient Saul (1 Sam 9:19); what Isaac is to Jacob (Gen 27:25); and what Elisha is to Jehoshaphath (2Kings 3:14-16). When your prophet speaks to your life, your life must respond, barriers are broken and supernatural aids are made available to you. You relate to your prophet with your tithes and venison (gifts), he inturn releases the blessing. Ask God to lead you to your prophet.
YOUR WORD: Your word is Gods revelation to you as a person. It may be spoken or written but it is revealed (to you). Your destiny is directly attached to it and when it comes you must receive it, believe it and act on it. Joseph was kept in prison until his word came (Psalm 105:17-19 KJV). When you encounter your word, the world will respond to you. There is a word for you to liberate and lead you to your destination. You can encounter your word through your prophet, meditation on the word of God or hearing messages. Ask God to grant you access into the mystery of His word.

I ask God to lift you above all barriers and make crooked ways straightened before you in Jesus name.

God will do it

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning” James 1:17.

God is the giver of good gifts. If you desire a child, an husband, a promotion, an increase, or a blessing. They are good and I can assure you God can give you this and much more.

A Pastor shared his testimonies in our monthly meeting last week. He and his wife had been married for eight(8) years, God just gave them a baby boy early this month. He shared his experiences as to advice of people during their waiting period. Different counsel came from different people, some biblical some un-biblical; but they made up their mind to believe God.

Beloved, I don’t know what your desire is but I can assure you that the only thing you need to do is to seek God on the matter. You need not run helter-skelter. Jesus told Martha in Luke 10:42 that “But one thing is needful….” If you get through to God, you will get your miracle.
The Lord will visit you and meet you at the point of your need in Jesus name.

Your day is blessed.

Uncommon Sense

"Master," Simon answered, "we worked hard all night long and caught nothing. But if you say so, I will let down the nets." Luke 5:5

When common sense fails, what you need is an uncommon sense. Every sense comes as a result of information. It is common sense that when you work hard; when you do the right thing at the right time and when you apply the right skill, you succeed. But what happened to Peter and his colleagues in Luke 5 revealed that one can still fail despite the application of this common sense.

At this level an higher information is needed- a word from the Lord which I call an uncommon sense. For some people, they may easily receive the word by an encounter with their prophet like it happened to Peter but in some other cases they may have to seek God’s face to get a word through meditation on the word, fasting and prayer.

Beloved, have you applied the common sense and yet you did not get the result? Don’t give up, there is a way for you. The Lord will lead you and guide you. He will bring you to that mountain of success and breakthrough. Your responsibility is to seek the Lord on the issue and whatever He tells you, do.
It is well.

Your Helpers Shall Be Many!

Your helpers shall be many!
“And he wrote in the letter, saying, Set ye Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle, and retire ye from him, that he may be smitten, and die.” 2Sam 11:15.

There are certain battles you cannot fight alone no matter how skillful, talented or strong you are. Uriah might have survived in the hottest battle but for the fact that people withdrew from him. There was no one to support him. The strength of any man is the strength of the people that are committed to him, people that are ready to help him. You can do what you don’t have strength to do if people are available who have the strength and are willing to help you do it. That is why God asked me to pray this prayer for you this morning that: Your helpers shall be many in Jesus name.

Your day is blessed.

Overcoming Discouragement

“And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.” 1 Samuel 30:6.

Discouragement means lack of courage to continue. Devil knows that he cannot stop you from achieving your goals unless he sowed the seed of discouragement; and he also knows that God does not work with a discouraged person. Devil is yet to find an answer to someone who is determined and persistent; so when he comes with discouragement you have got to find a reason to pick up your courage back. The Bible says YOU CAN DO ALL THINGS and ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE if you believe.

A business woman once had problems with her business because many owed her. One of the debtors asked her to come one day to collect a significant amount but on getting to the debtor, the person could not pay as promised. The woman became hurt and discouraged to the extent that she started crying when she got home. God opened her eyes and she saw some demons rejoicing; immediately she jumped up, wiped her tears and started making positive confessions and singing to encourage herself.

Beloved, you will get there but pick up your courage because a discouraged person will be stranded.
Have a nice day.

Two Kinds of sight

“And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servants said unto him, Alas, my master! What shall we do? And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. And Elisha prayed, and said, LORD, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see, And the LORD opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha” 2kings 6:15-17

The King of Syria sent soldiers to arrest Elisha and when the servant of Elisha saw the enemy, he was afraid. This is because he had one kind of sight but the Man of God prayed for him and when he saw what he could not see before his fear disappeared.

Beloved what you have seen is the challenge but the Lord has sent me to make you see what you could not see. What you have not seen is bigger than what you have seen. Behind the challenge is a big victory, a big success, a big promotion, a big celebration. When the enemy comes with sickness, God raises a standard of healing; when the enemy comes with poverty, God raises a standard of abundance; when the enemy comes with failure God raises a standard of success, when the enemy comes with barrenness God raises a standard of fruitfulness; when the enemy comes with a barrier, God raises a standard of breakthrough. Beloved even if you have seen what the enemy has come up with, don’t fail to see the standard that God has raised against him. Now what should you do, change your language, let your language reflect what God has done and not what the enemy is doing. This is because what you see and say comes to pass in your life.

Let your spiritual eyes be opened to see the victory God has wrought for you in Jesus name.
Have a nice day.

Vicarious Liability

“For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” 2Cor 5:21

Jesus took our place as sinner 2000 years ago; a crown of thorn was put on Him, they spat on Him, mocked Him, Slapped Him and eventually killed Him on the cross of Calvary. He went through all these so that everyone who repents and believes in Him can be free from the hold of Sin, Satan and Sickness.

Beloved, you have been made the righteousness of God through Him and so free from the judgment that is meant for the wicked. Any attempt by the devil to keep you in bondage to sin and sickness must be resisted. Jesus went through poverty so that you should be rich, He went through pain so that you should be healthy, He went through bondage so that you should be free, He went through death so that you should be alive. He took your place so that the benefits of the righteous should be your portion.

Now everyone must repent and accept Jesus; including your colleagues, your boss, your friends and those you know who have not taken the step to become children of God. None of them need to suffer for sin anymore because Jesus had taken their place. You can use this Easter season to send a message of God’s love to them.

But as for you, begin to enforce all that Jesus did for you.
Happy Easter

Your Identity & The Challenges of Life

“Then he stood and cried out to the armies of Israel, and said to them, “Why have you come out to line up for battle? Am I not a Philistine, and you the servants of Saul? Choose a man for yourselves, and let him come down to me.” 1 Samuel 17:9.

Don’t allow the challenges you are facing redefine your identity. The first thing Goliath did was to give a wrong identity to the people of Israel. He called them servants of Saul but that is not their true identity. They accepted the lies and since Saul was there and could do nothing, they felt they could not deal with Goliath. They forgot that their true identity is in God. They are the covenant children of God and as a result God had performed miracles in their lives which was more than the challenge from Goliath. For 40days Goliath terrorized them until a man who knew their true identity came to the scene.

“Then David spoke…For who is this uncircumcised Philistine that should defy the ARMIES OF THE LIVING GOD.” 1 Sam 17:26.

Brethren, you are a child of the living God. No matter the challenges before you, the bible tells us that we are more than conquerors. You are not a failure neither are you a weakling. You are no longer under curse, you have been redeemed by the blood of Jesus. As you go through life, remember who you are in God and let that give you boldness to overcome the challenges of life.
Now if you have not given your life to Christ, then you have no identity with Him and the enemy can terrorize you. Repent today, ask Jesus to come into your life so your identity will change and your name will be written in the book of life.

Your day is blessed.

Tuesday, March 4, 2008

What have you done with this?

“If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Father in Heaven give good things to those who ask Him?” Mathew 7:11

One of the greatest promises of God to you in the Bible is Mathew 7:7 -Ask and it shall be given to you; seek and you shall find; knock and it shall be opened to you. The Lord told me to ask you what have you done with this verse?

In Mark 6:17-26, the wicked Herodias wanted to punish John the Baptist, she wanted revenge for the evil she believed he had done her, when he publicly declared her wrong as wrong and evil. She got the “opportunity” when a mere earthly king told her daughter: “Whatever you shall ask from me, I will give it to you, to the half of my kingdom”. The wicked woman told the daughter to ask for the head of John the Baptist. Although the king was not happy with the request, he gave it to her because of his integrity.

Beloved, Mathew 7:7 is one of the greatest opportunities God is giving to you. God has exalted His word more than His name. The scripture cannot be broken. The integrity of God’s word surpasses that of men or even a wicked king. Do you need a good thing? Or are you in a desperate situation? Don’t worry, ask God and He will respond to you.

Have a blessed day.

Conquering Evil Counselors

“And one told David, saying Ahithophel is among the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, O Jehovah, I pray You, turn the advice of Ahithophel to foolishness.” 2Sam 15:31.

All advice against you is turned to foolishness and hence rejected in Jesus name.

Everyone needs the favor of man to be who God wants him to be(Luke 2:52). An evil counselor is someone who counsels people against you. Some of them are like Ahitophel who when he gives counsel is as if God has spoken. Some may be like Haman who had position of authority with the king. In any case all of them can be conquered. David conquered Ahitophel by asking God to turn his advice to foolishness. His counsel was subsequently rejected and he ended up hanging himself. Haman was conquered by God’s favor on Esther and the Jews. Hear the word of the Lord: A favor is coming upon you that will frustrate all evil counselors in Jesus name.

Are you asking for a favor, seeking for a job, promotion, contract, financial assistance or something good and you sense someone may be offering counsel against you? Then do these
1. Have faith in God that He will give you the favor you need. “When a man's ways please God, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.” Prov 16:7. “But without faith it is impossible to please Him……” Hebrews 11:6
2. Ask God to turn every counsel against you to foolishness in Jesus name.

It is your season.

In the midst of a project?

“And He said, Come. And when Peter had come down out of the boat, he walked on the water to
go to Jesus. But seeing that the wind was strong, he was afraid. And beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me!” Mathew 14:29-30

Are you in the midst of a project and all hell is set loose to frustrate you? I have a word from the Lord for you: Don’t be afraid, you will make it. The project shall be successfully completed in Jesus name. You will not be frustrated in Jesus name.

Peter started walking on water based on Jesus’ word that he should come. When the strong wind came, he was afraid; but he cried unto Jesus for help and Jesus helped him.

May be the project is beyond you. It was a giant step for you to have started. People seemed to be saying that you cannot do it but you received God’s courage and started. And right now, there is a wind of difficulty which is creating fear in you. Beloved, all you have to do is to cry unto the Lord for help just like Peter did. And Jesus will stretch out His hand to help you just as He did for Peter.

Fear not for you shall not be put to shame.

Love Expressed

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only-begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16.

When love is expressed, everyone involved becomes better. Love saves from perishing. Love is selfless. Love is expressed by giving. You can give without loving but you cannot love without giving.

The sign that you love a person is that you made the person better than you find him or her. It may be by giving a word, your time, your resources, your talent or even your life. Love is a force. Love is power. When love is lacking, evil prevails. Love is greater than faith. Love is greater than hope. Love is the building block of passion. Love overcomes all fear. Love creates an environment for Joy to live. The greatest phrase on earth is “I love you” and when it is expressed from the heart, it creates the greatest miracle on earth which is salvation. Salvation from sin, sickness, death, discouragement, bondage and such.

Jesus came to show us Love as it should be truly expressed. Tell some one about Jesus. Express your love to someone today and everyday.
I love you.

They will soon change their mind

"The people waited for him to swell up or suddenly drop dead. But when they had waited a long time and saw no harm come to him, THEY CHANGED THEIR MIND and decided he was a god" Act. 28:6 (New Living)

Whosoever that is waiting for your fall will be disappointed in Jesus name. Paul and the soldiers guarding him escaped the sea after more than 14days of storm. It got to a stage when all hope was gone but God intervened and they landed on the island of Malta. As Paul was gathering sticks, a poisonous snake fastened itself onto his hand. So the people thought that may be he was wicked that was why all these evil were happening to him. So they expected him to drop dead. But when their expectations were disappointed, they changed their mind and concluded he was a god.

May be what you have been passing through was like storm. And people have been talking all kind of evil about you, expecting you to be swallowed up. Hear the word of the Lord: They will soon change their mind. This is because your story will change. You will not be swallowed up. Rather your miracle will manifest. The same people will thank God for you. For the storm is over.

It is impossible for any covenant child of God to be consumed by any challenge whether storm, serpent or suffering. This is because you are not alone. God is with you (Isaiah 43:1-2). However if you have not recieved Jesus into your heart, repent and invite him right now, and you too will become a covenant child of God.You will make it in Jesus name. The storm is over. It is a new season of breakthrough on every side in Jesus name.

Divine Qualification

“But the LORD said to him, "Pay no attention to how tall and handsome he is. I have rejected him, because I do not judge as people judge. They look at the outward appearance, but I look at the heart."” 1 Samuel 16:7 (GNB)

God will not reject you in Jesus name. God looks at the heart to qualify a man. What does God look for in the heart of a man to qualify him? What did He see in the heart of Eliab that made God to reject him?

In 1 Samuel 15:17, God told us why He qualified Saul to be king over Israel: because he was humble at heart. When Saul considered himself of no importance, God qualified him and made him a king. God resists the proud but shows favor to the humble” 1Peter 5:5. It became clear that Eliab was rejected because of the pride in his heart.

Beloved, you are what you are today because God favored you. There are many who are as hard working as you are, have the same qualification, can also pray well but yet nothing is working for them. Give God the glory and remain humble before Him, so that he can lift you the more. Grace or divine favor is only for the humble. Pride brings destruction.

God will take you to the next level in Jesus name.

Don’t know what else to do?

“And Jehoshaphat feared, and set himself to seek the LORD, and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah. And Judah gathered themselves together, to ask help of the LORD: even out of all the cities of Judah they came to seek the LORD.” 2Chro 20:3-4

Do you have a mountain to move and don’t know what else to do? Then do these
1. Seek the Lord: Pray in the Spirit and pray in understanding to receive wisdom from the Lord on the issue. Mathew 7:7, James 1:5. Pray until you get through.
2. Speak to the mountain and call those things that are not as though they are. Rom 4:17, Mk 11:23. Your voice is your force. Speak in accordance with your expectation.
3. Be at peace in your heart. Mountain moves when you allow the peace of God in your heart. It is a sign of your trust in the Lord. Is 26:3.
4. Sing a new song. Have a new song in your mouth. Your song is a sign to your mountain. Act 16:25. Your song moves God, and when God moves, mountains disappear before Him.
It is well with you.

Move with the cloud

“And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night:” Exodus 13:21

When you move in God’s direction, your little effort will produce great results in all areas of your life.

The highest flying bird in the world is the Eagle. What is its secret? It determines the direction of the wind and releases its wings. It always rides on the wind with little effort and achieves the greatest height. It never moves contrary to the wind.

Beloved, can you sense God’s direction for your life this year? Have you discovered what God wants to do through you and for you this year? Have you aligned your visions and your goals with God’s plan for your life this year? If you are able to do this, then you will have an easy ride to a great height this year.

People struggle and labor in vain because they are outside God’s plans and purposes for their lives. That is why you must take time to present your goals and visions to God in prayer for His green light.

I decree that the light of God shall shine on you this year in Jesus name.

Have a praiseful day.

Extra Oil is Needed

“And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.” Mathew 25:8-9. (KJV)

Your lamp will not go out in Jesus name. We are closer to the second coming of Christ than ever and we must study the scripture to adequately prepare ourselves. Hear the word of the Lord: extra oil is needed to make it.

Beloved, you need to be serious with your Christian walk and pay the price to generate the extra oil needed to be counted worthy at the return of Christ. There is no room for the flesh driven, lamp out, lukewarm Christians when He returns. The fact that the wise virgins told the foolish virgins to go and buy indicates that price is involved in generating the oil. The price include taking covenant responsibility, living bible-based life, putting God’s will first in our lives and spending time with God. You must stand out as a Christian in this corrupt world.

Most of us are carried away with our quest for wealth. Listen! True wealth comes by living a life of service and obedience to God. Such wealth comes without sorrow and does not take heaven from you. For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? (Mark 8:36). Wealth acquired in an unrighteous way will lead to hell fire. We must not forget that wealth is part of the covenant and God is willing to give it to us.

As we consider this, let me ask you at what level is your oil? You can generate more now.
I ask God to keep you in His way in Jesus name. If you are not yet born again, repent now for He comes soon.

Epoch

“Do not remember the former things. Nor consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing. Now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness. And rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:18-19

You are welcome into the year 2008 in the name of Jesus. It is a year of new beginning for you. A cycle of seven years in the millennium ended with 2007 and 2008 is the beginning of another cycle of seven years. Now hear the word of the Lord: Don’t tie yourself to the past, look forward, greater things are ahead of you.

God is going to do new things in your life this year, something you are not familiar with. What you need to do is to detach yourself from the past. God says you should not remember the former thing. The former things like past success, past failure, past hurts, past disappointment and such have power to tie a man down if he does not detach himself from them. God says He will even do what you consider to be impossible like making roads in the wilderness and rivers in the desert if you will not judge by what you went through in the past
.
Beloved, it is a great year for you, believe God’s word, take covenant responsibility and expect a new thing.

One in a thousand

“And having come in, the angel said to her, “Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!” Luke 1:28.

Most virgins in Israel were aware of the prophecy about the virgin birth of Jesus, so they were prepared. But Mary was chosen. The Bible did not tell us the reason why she was chosen other than that she was highly favored and blessed among women.

The Lord asked me to tell you that among thousands, you shall be highly favored; you shall be blessed among people in the name of Jesus.

Beloved, if there are many qualified for the promotion, you shall be highly favored. If there are many qualified for the contract, you shall be highly favored. If there are many qualified for the employment you shall be highly favored. If there are many qualified for the miracle, you shall be highly favored in the name of Jesus.

I decree that God will find a reason to favor you among thousands in Jesus name.
