God has a plan

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.” Jeremiah 29:11-12 (NIV).

God has a plan for you. And because of His plan, your hope is sure; your future is secured; your expected end is good and guaranteed.

Perhaps what you are currently experiencing is not too good and also contrary to what you expect. You may be thinking that the plan of the enemy is winning. Change your thinking. The plans of God will swallow the plans of the enemy in your life. The enemy thought he was winning against Jesus until the game changed, he discovered that he had lost the keys of hell and death (1 Cor. 2:8, Rev 1:18).

Three things you must remember. The first thing is that you now belong to the family of God (Ephesians 2:11-13) and as such you are no longer under the dominion of the enemy. The second thing is that you must believe that God has a good plan for you and expect His plan to be fulfilled in your life. The last thing is that you keep on calling upon Him, He said he would listen when you pray (Jeremiah 29:12). Psalm 27:12 says, “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”

I see your story changing positively this week in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I pray the plans of God into manifestation in my life in Jesus name.

God of restoration

“When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dreamed. Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.”” Psalm 126:1-2

God is about to do something in your life that will make you think you are dreaming. Your mouth shall be filled with laughter and your tongues with songs of Joy. God is about to restore your lost years, your lost opportunities and your lost fortunes.

Satan is a thief but God is a restorer. As a long as God is present in your life, Satan can never have the last laugh. I see God restoring every good thing that is dead in your life. Good things that you have thought cannot come to pass in your life is about to come into fulfilment. God rekindled in me the vision of going back to school in 2011. Today by His grace only, I have a doctoral degree in chemical engineering. This is a proof that God will do what He wants to do in our lives if we cooperate with Him. God can do beyond our thinking and expectation, but we must see the impossible to experience it. God said to Jeremiah, you have seen correctly, I will fulfill my words (Jeremiah 1:12). I want you to see this coming restoration to experience God of restoration. It does not matter what men have said about it or the strength of the personality that stole it, God of restoration will restore it.

May you experience the God of restoration in every area of your life in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: O God open my eyes to see this coming restoration and give me grace to experience it in Jesus name.

Walking into your restoration

“And it came to pass, as he was telling the king how he had restored a dead body to life, that, behold, the woman, whose son he had restored to life, cried to the king for her house and for her land. And Gehazi said, My lord, O king, this is the woman, and this is her son, whom Elisha restored to life. And when the king asked the woman, she told him. So the king appointed unto her a certain officer, saying, Restore all that was hers, and all the fruits of the field since the day that she left the land, even until now.” 2 Kings 8:5-6.

For someone reading this message, I have a word from the Lord for you, you will walk into your restoration within the days that remain this year. God has seen your labour of love and has heard your prayers.

Our text this morning was about the woman who positioned herself to help the ministry of Elisha. She was blessed with a son as a results of our labour in that ministry. The boy died sometimes along the way but was restored back to life by the prayer of the Man of God. The man of God told her about the coming famine and she left the country for seven years. On the day she came back to plead for her restoration, Gehazi was there to share the testimony of the woman. That was divine arrangement which positions a person to be at the right place at the right time. She got a full restoration of our property and the yield for seven years.

You will not have to struggle for it but the restoration will come. Everyone that needs to facilitate it shall be compelled by the power of God to do what they are supposed to do in the name of Jesus. I heard the voice of the Lord saying, restoration! restoration!!, restoration!!

Prayer for today: I enter into the season of my restoration. I take back everything the enemy stole and I am restored to my rightful position in Jesus name.

Great grace 3

"And of his fullness have we received, and grace for grace" John 1:16

It is important to continuously flow in great Grace. We should avoid being an history in our experience of great grace. Thank God for yesterday experience of grace but today is more important.

We must maintain fellowship with Jesus who is full of grace and of whom we have received grace. The enemy knows this and will want us to break fellowship with him. No reason is good enough to skip anything which is of utmost importance. Not even our busy schedule. Increased grace comes as a result of quality time with the Lord daily. The impartation of His person and His grace happens in the closet of personal fellowship with Him.

May you not be too busy to stay connected to Jesus the source of our great Grace.

Prayer for today: I receive discipline to maintain a daily quality fellowship with you Lord and I continually grow in grace in Jesus name.

Great grace 2

“And so was also James, and John, the sons of Zebedee, which were partners with Simon. And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men.” Luke 5:10

Our text this morning were the words of Jesus to a man who had failed in catching fish, his main business. Jesus told him that he would be catching men. That is the operation of great grace that only Jesus can give to the life of men. Act 4:13 says, “Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.” Even people in the days of the bible knew that unusual grace was contacted by people who had been with Jesus.

Now hear this, this great grace is available for you to fulfil your God-given assignment whether spiritual or physical. You can be a businessman, a teacher, an engineer, a preacher, a husband, a wife, etc, full of great grace. Your status does not matter, when you contact great grace, you become a wonder both to yourself and to people around you. When you spend time with Jesus and you get a vision or a word from Him and you believe it, you access a great grace. I have been a preacher almost all my life. I never thought I could get higher degrees in chemical engineering but God spoke to me. The rest is history, I got an award for the best Master’s student in chemical engineering and now I am graduating with a doctoral degree in chemical engineering. In 2011, a dead child was brought in the midst of a crowd to our church. I did not want to pray but God spoke to me. The rest is history; the boy is living till today.

May God speak to you today, may you access great grace, may your failure turn to success in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: O God I choose to live by grace alone, grant me access into your great grace in every area of my life in Jesus name.

Great grace 1

"And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.” Act 4:33
The bible mentioned saving grace and great grace. Both are the gift of God. Both are divine ability in human being. Just like all the work of God in any man, both also work through faith. Ephesians 2:8 says, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.” Saving grace brings a man into the family of God, great grace brings him into the supernatural of God. God’s throne is gracious and makes mercy available to everyone who comes to Him (Hebrews 4:16). Jesus the Son of God is said to be full of grace (John 1:14,16-17). When a man comes in contact with Jesus, he enters the realm of unlimited grace. First he experiences saving grace and then as he grows in knowledge of Him, he will experience great grace. 1 Peter 3:18 says, “But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen.”
Let me quickly mention also another type of grace which I call the common grace, so that you can easily understand how to access great grace. If you want to have grace to work as a doctor, what do you do? You acquire knowledge in medicine. Common grace comes by common knowledge. Great grace comes by the knowledge of God and His words. You must hear about Jesus, confess and believe Him to access saving grace. When you have a deeper knowledge of God’s word in any area, you receive grace to walk in that area. Be it healing, prosperity, success and all supernatural act of God in the realm of men. Access into the mystery of God’s word is access into great grace of God.
May you experience great grace from God in Jesus name.

Reaching out to Jesus 2

“When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.” Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.” Mark 5:27-29

Jesus is with you and can be reached right now. The barriers today are not the crowd of people but unbelief, un-forgiveness and sin.

In the Acts of Apostles, words are important in reaching out to Jesus after His death, resurrection and ascension into heaven. Faith filled words, faith based prayers, faith based declarations were the instruments used in experiencing the supernatural just as if Jesus was physically present. Paul did not have physical contact with Jesus but did miracles, signs and wonders on behalf of Jesus using these instruments. He told Bar-Jesus that he would be blind for a season and it happened. He commanded a lame man to stand up straight on his feet and the lame man did. He once declared to a crowd of people who had given up hope of living because of the storms on the sea that they would all be saved and they were all saved from death.

Beloved, your declaration in speaking and in praying are important instruments in reaching out to Jesus on your behalf and on behalf of others. Let us begin to see the manifestation of His power today as in the scriptures as we pray and decree by faith in His name.

May you see the supernatural in your life and in the life of people around you as you activate your faith in His name.

Prayer for today: I decree that all oppositions are giving way as I carry out my assignments this week in Jesus name.

Reaching out to Jesus 1

“Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus by digging through it and then lowered the mat the man was lying on. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralyzed man, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”” Mark 2:4-5

When Jesus was physically present here on earth, many people sought to touch him or to get in contact with Him for solutions to their problems. You remember the story of the woman with the issue of blood in Mark 5 and similar stories. After Jesus left, the book of Acts of the Apostles revealed that He could still be touched or contacted for solutions to human problems. Peter said that by faith in His name the lame man at the beautiful temple was made whole (Acts 3:16). I believe that today, we are blessed to have Jesus with us in the Spirit. He is everywhere and can be touched by anyone. Everyone at everywhere can contact Him today for solutions to their problems.

In our text, four men broke through the barriers to get their sick friend to Jesus. The question is what is preventing people to reach out to Jesus today. Hebrews 11:6 says, “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” The first barrier that must be broken is the barrier of unbelief. You must be convincingly convinced that Jesus is with you right now and can provide solutions to your problems. Those men were so confident that Jesus was the solution that they broke through the roof to reach Him. Don’t let unbelief stop you, go all the way and reach out to Him in faith.

Beloved, Jesus is with you right now, reach out to Him in faith for a lasting solution to all your problems.

Prayer for today: As I reach out to you Lord Jesus, touch me with your healing and deliverance power. Let all my needs be met in Jesus name.

The necessity of resting

“And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.” Genesis 2:3

There is always temptation to continue to push towards targets and forget about resting. We need to remind all hard workers that resting is part of work. When we fail to give our body adequate rest, we expose it to unnecessary attacks. Nothing on earth is made to work non-stop even your body as well. Most of us take care of our properties more than we take care of our bodies. A man of God advised that one should rest in order to avoid being laid to rest. We are always excited to achieve our goals and take on another one but we must also remember that we should not damage our bodies on the way.

The bible says even God rested from His work on the seventh day. So you think you are a super human and can handle everything without resting. You must think twice because you cannot be more super than God. If God needed to rest, you too definitely need to rest. You may not do it every seventh day but make sure you always get adequate rest for your body.

May God give you wisdom to take care of your body for long life on earth.

Prayer for today: I refuse to be foolish in dealing with my body, I shall not die before my time in Jesus name.

Be determined to follow Jesus

“Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.” John 6:67-6

Be determined to follow Jesus, there are rewards both on earth and in heaven (mark 10:20-30). Be determined to know His person and His principles, and walk in them. Join the assembly of likeminded believers and be committed, have a spiritual mentor to guide you, study the word of God, be involved in preaching the gospel and be led by the Spirit of God. Never give up following Jesus. Don’t change church because of discipline, God disciplines those He loves (Rev 3:19)

Many things are contending with our faith today but we must be determined to follow Jesus to the end. The world hates us because we do not agree with her ways but we depend on the wisdom of God to scale through the hurdles. There are also battles within. 1 John 2:16, “For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.” We must conquer these battles and follow through with Jesus. In our text today, some disciples left Jesus. Don’t leave Jesus, be determined to continue with Him.

You will not fall by the way side in this noble and profitable faith in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Holy Spirit, keep me through the journey of life as a believer and disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Power of determination

“And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:  Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried: the Lord do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me. When she saw that she was stedfastly minded to go with her, then she left speaking unto her.” Ruth 1:16-18

Determination is a key factor to follow through on any dream or vision. If your determination is shaky you may not have enough strength to go all the way. If you are not determined, you can be easily convinced to give up on your pursuit. Some people will want to convince you that it will not work. Your situation may want to tell you that it will not work. Even the challenges on the way may want to tell you that you have chosen a wrong path. But if you are determined, you will follow through.

Ruth was determined to follow Naomi despite the calamities that befell her. I would not know how she got convinced that she had a future with Naomi. But the moment she sensed that it was the direction to follow, she became steadfast in her mind to go with her. The rest is history; she became the great grand mother of Jesus Christ. Now listen, if you are looking for an escape route from your dream, you will find it. Alternatives are enemies of determination. If you keep dropping the ball whenever there is a challenge, you will waste years. When you have found something to do with your life, be determined to follow through.

May you be a success in your chosen endeavors in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: O God help me so that I may be determined to follow through on your vision for my life in Jesus name.

Who surrounds you?

“And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?”2 kings 5:13

Your potential requires a suitable environment to germinate and grow into full manifestation. The people that surround you or that you have surrounded yourself with can determine whether you will manifest or not. Challenges of life can easily be overcome when you are surrounded by the right people. A lot of life threatening issues can be avoided or dealt with when we are in the midst of right people. Now hear this, anyone you listen to have access into your life. May you be surrounded by destiny helpers; may destiny destroyers around you be exposed and disgraced in Jesus name.

Namaan was blessed to have right people around him. It was a slave girl from Israel that suggested to him to visit Elisha the Prophet. When Elisha told him to wash in Jordan to be cleansed, he was angry. His servants advised him to obeyed and he did so. That was the end of this reproach. Rehoboam on the other hand in 2 Chronicles 10 chose to listen to the foolish advice of the youth, he lost 10 of his kingdoms to Jeroboam. You must remember that you will bear the consequences of any advice you have accepted.

I decree that God will give you the ability to discern the assignments of people that surround you in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: O God give me wisdom to surround myself with helpers of destiny in Jesus name.

Two waiting options

“The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.” John 5:7.

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31

When and if you need a breakthrough, you have two options. You either wait for men or wait on God. Choose to wait on God rather than wait for men.

A man sent to you by God is a great instrument in destiny. You cannot make it without such people. I have been blessed to have such people in my life and ministry. You will definitely need people sent to you by God to fulfil your destiny. However, you must learn to wait on God rather than wait for men. Men will only help you if they are sent by God. Now hear this, it is possible for a man sent by God to refuse, God will send another man if you wait on Him.

I have seen people disappointed because someone they expected to help or support them did not do it. Please don’t. The impotent man in John 5 wasted 38 years waiting for a man. He did not get help until a man sent by God came to his life. If you are confronted by a situation stronger than you, spend more time with God than with men. If you get through to God, men will get through to you. Those that wait upon the Lord receive new strength and get results.

May you experience God’s supernatural power this week in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: God give me the grace to wait on you in every situation in Jesus name.

Open door without knocking 2

“I have observed something else under the sun. The fastest runner doesn’t always win the race, and the strongest warrior doesn’t always win the battle. The wise sometimes go hungry, and the skillful are not necessarily wealthy. And those who are educated don’t always lead successful lives. It is all decided by chance, by being in the right place at the right time.” Ecc 9:11 (NLT).

You can experience an open door without knocking if you are at the right place and at the right time. This is what I call divine positioning. There are two ways to this; The first way is being sensitive to where God wants you to be and staying there. The other way is choosing the right company in life.

Abraham was informed by God to leave where he was to a place which would be shown to him. He obeyed and experienced unexpected prosperity immediately (See Genesis 12 to 13). Isaac was going to run from Gerar to Egypt but God informed him to stay. He enjoyed breakthrough because he obeyed. There is a place for your rising and shining. The right environment for you to experience open doors without knocking. Locate it through your antenna of spiritual sensitivity and act on it.

Saul was not expecting to become a king; all he was looking for was his father’s lost ass.  However, he was accompanied by a servant who directed him to meet the Prophet Samuel. The rest is history; he became a king without asking for the throne. Proverbs 13:20 (NLT) says, “Walk with the wise and become wise; associate with fools and get into trouble.” No matter how gifted you are, your association can limit you or can make you. The company you keep can open doors for you without knocking, if it is the right company.
I decree that you shall be positioned in the place of your destiny fulfilment in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: O God if I am wrongly located, re-locate me in Jesus name.

Open door without knocking 1

“When they were past the first and the second ward, they came unto the iron gate that leadeth unto the city; which opened to them of his own accord: and they went out, and passed on through one street; and forthwith the angel departed from him.” Acts 12:10

Can you experience an open door without knocking? Yes. You have probably been knocking some doors for a long time. I decree that those doors will open for you on their own accord in Jesus name. But let me share with you some wisdom to open doors without knocking.

Joseph did not apply for the position of a prime minister in Egypt. They came to appoint him. What opened the door for him? His gift! David never applied for the job of a singer, anointed harp player, in the palace of Saul. What opened the door for him? His gift! Proverbs 18:16 says, “A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.” Your gifts have inherent capabilities to open doors even the one that you have not knocked. Your gifts have inherent capabilities to bring you profits (1 Cor 12:7). A man of God said, “develop a gift in your life so that people will pay you to use it.” Another man of God said, “You cannot place a demand unless you are in demand” I agree with both of them.

What should you do? You are not “giftless.”  You have a gift, identify it and develop it. Stop running helter skelter! Stop focusing on other people gifts. Focus on your own gift, it will soon be your time and it will soon be your turn. Wherever you have found yourself, develop and use your gifts for open doors you have not struggled for.

May every door you need to open in your life, open for you on its own accord in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Father I thank you for the gift(s) you have given me. I decree that I will profit with them in Jesus name.

Let God make you

“We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.” 2 Cor 4:8-10

“For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.” Ecc 9:4

You might have been battered and shattered by the challenges of life, you are still a good raw material in the hand of God, let God make you. You have might have made a serious mistake, you are still a good raw material in the hand of God, let God make you. The enemy might have hit you in a bad way, you are still a good raw material in the hand of God, let God make you.

The greatest enemy of destiny is death. If death has not taken you God can still work with you. If you are joined to the living, there is hope for you. Job said in Job 14:7-9, “For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease. Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground; Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.” Paul was a murdered, God picked him up, refurbished him and used him. The prodigal son returned to his father only to discover that he still had a place in his father’s plan. God asked me to tell you, no matter what has happened to you in the past, He still has a place for you in His plans, Let Him make you.

What must you do? Don’t give up on yourself. Be encouraged to get up and get going. Spend time in the word of God and in prayer. You will need to spend more time with God and with men. He is the unchangeable changer, who has power to change men and to turn around situation.

Prayer for today: O God lay your hand upon me and make me what you want me to be in Jesus name.

Make news, make history

“Then Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.” Daniel 3:28

Your faith will be challenged. Your anointing will be challenged. Your life will be challenged. Your calling will be challenged. Your marriage will be challenged. Your business will be challenged. Your career will be challenged. But when the challenge comes, you must see opportunity. Opportunity to make news, opportunity to make history.

You can make history where there is none if you are willing to take up challenges that comes your way trusting God all the way. Little challenges lead to little news; big challenges lead to big news if you have victory. If Goliath had killed David it would not have been a news. David killed Goliath and that was news, David made history. If fire roasted Zadrach, Meshack and Abednego, that would not have been news. But the fact that they went into fire without being hurt made news. You don’t make history by staying in the boat, but by getting on water and walking on it. There is someone reading my message this morning, God wants you to turn the present situation that is confronting you to news of testimonies.
Don’t change what you believe because your belief is being challenged. That is the problem with most Christians, they quickly drop their faith when there is adversity and miss the opportunity to see the mighty hand of God. God wants to use you to display His power among the unbelievers. Don’t stay in the mud you have found yourself, get up and shine again so that God can boast of you to the enemy. It is time to make news. It is time to make history.

Arise and shine for your light has come in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Lord use me to display your glory and power among the people in Jesus name.

Familiar spirits in the church 2

“And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying: The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation.  And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.” Acts 16:16-18

Familiar spirits are demonic imitation of the spirit of the prophets and the spirit of prophecy. Familiar spirits bring financial gains to those who are using it but bring serious grieves to the persons on whom it is being used. Those who use familiar spirits are witches and sorcerers; their final destination is hell fire (Rev 21:8).  Prophecy has power to draw crowd (John 4:28-29); for this reason, its imitation the familiar spirts (Acts 8:9-11), have found their ways into the church. Some people engage the familiar spirits in order to look as authentic servants of God. They are instruments of the devil and so they are destiny destroyers (John 10:10). Unfortunately, they are not easily discerned. It took Paul many days to discern that the spirit behind the declaration of the damsel in our text was not of God. They speak good things that men want to hear but the source of their declaration is the devil.

As a believer what must you do? You must know that there are no shortcuts in the things of the spirit. Don’t elongate your journey by submitting your life to the operations of the familiar spirits in the name of prophecies. You must know that spending time with God in prayer and meditation in the word are still valid spiritual activities to grow in the Lord. God is willing to give you directions for your breakthrough if you are willing to spend time with Him and obey Him. You must learn to test all spirits whether they are from God. 1 John 4:1 says, “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” Ask God to give you the spirit of discernment.
If you have been a victim of familiar spirits, may the power of God deliver you. May the hand of the Lord protect His own from the operations of this wicked spirit. May the church experience deliverance and the power of God afresh in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: O God deliver me from the operations of familiar spirits, break their chains in my life and let there be restoration of everything they stole from me in Jesus name.

Familiar spirits in the church 1

“And it came to pass, as we went to prayer, a certain damsel possessed with a spirit of divination met us, which brought her masters much gain by soothsaying: The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation.  And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.” Acts 16:16-18

The late Kenneth E Hagin wrote the following in his book first published in 1991, “The Holy Spirt and His Gifts”

One time a man was invited to the platform to speak for a few minutes in a church where I was conducting a meeting. I had heard that this man was not living right. Of course the Bible tells us that by their fruits we shall know them (Matt. 7:20). As I sat on the platform while this man got up to say a few words to the congregation, I heard the Voice of the Holy Spirit say, "He has a familiar spirit." I looked behind me. I already knew that no one was sitting behind me; yet the Voice was so real I looked behind me. It was the Holy Spirit speaking to me.

Many folks thought this preacher operated in the word of knowledge because he could tell people many things about themselves. He could give them their names and addresses; he could tell them how much money they had in their purses or billfolds. He could even sometimes tell them what they had in their pockets.

But the Spirit of God said to me, "He has a familiar spirit." In the Old Testament God talks about familiar spirits and forbids the people of God to have anything to do with them. Familiar spirits are familiar with people and they can pass on information about one person to another.

Prayer for today: O God expose and disgrace the operations of familiar spirit in your church in Jesus name.

Dare to act

"And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.” Mathew 14:28-29.

Act on what you believe. Act on your conviction. Things happen for actors. Your actions reveal your convictions. If God has spoken to you then get up and do it. If you have a dream, then go for its fulfillment. If God has put something in your heart, then pursue it with your energy. If it is in your heart, it can be in your hand!

“And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.” Hebrews 11:15. “And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.” Genesis 11:6

Indecision and procrastination are enemies of great dreams. Don’t be divided within yourself. Stop waiting for a perfect condition. “If you wait for perfect conditions, you will never get anything done.” Ecclesiastes 11:4 (NLT). “Finally, the seventh time, his servant told him, “I saw a little cloud about the size of a man’s hand rising from the sea.” Then Elijah shouted, “Hurry to Ahab and tell him to get into his chariot and get down the mountain, or he’ll be stopped by the rain!”” 1 kings 18:44(NLT). A little cloud is an indication of an heavy rain.

Peter heard Jesus and acted on the word. He walked on water! You too can walk on water, if you can act on what you have seen, what you have heard and what you have believed.

I see you making things happen in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I pray myself out of conception into delivery, I shall deliver my dreams and visions in Jesus name. My ideas shall see the light of the day in Jesus name.

Dare to believe

“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” Mark 16:17-18 (KJV)

Only believers get results and not doubters. Dare to believe God, believe in yourself, believe that all things are possible for remarkable results in your life. Note that it is possible to be religious and still be a doubter. “Then he (Jesus) said to Thomas, “Put your finger here; see my hands. Reach out your hand and put it into my side. Stop doubting and believe.”” John 20:27 (NIV). It is also necessary for you to know that a belief in something is actually a doubt in the opposite.

Don’t believe the liar, believe God. Believe what God has spoken or revealed about you. Believe what God has put in your heart and throw your whole life into it. More importantly believe in the name of Jesus. Devil is not a threat to the believers in Jesus name, they cast him out. Believers in the name of Jesus don’t speak the same language the world speaks. The world speaks failure, defeat, poverty, sickness, war, famine and such. But believers speak in tongues that is different from that of the world. They speak victory, success, sound health, abundance and such. Believers in the name of Jesus are risk takers. They are as bold as Lion and do not turn away from oppositions. Serpents are no threat to them neither is any deadly drink. Lastly believers are solution givers, they solve problems.

No matter what you are going through, I challenge you, dare to believe for a total positive turnaround of your situation in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I am a believer and not a doubter in Jesus name.

Dare to see

“And the Lord said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.” Genesis 13:14-15

All that your two eyes can see are not all that are there to see. Dare to see beyond your nose and beyond the limits of your physical eyes. Men of distinctions see with their third and fourth eyes, the inner eyes. As a result, they create new things, dare new height and challenge the status scopes. Men that see are bold and confident.

If you are tired of your present level, you must dare to see. What you cannot see, you cannot possess. What you cannot see, you cannot conceive; what you cannot conceive you cannot deliver. “And it came to pass, whensoever the stronger cattle did conceive, that Jacob laid the rods before the eyes of the cattle in the gutters, that they might conceive among the rods.” Genesis 30:41.

When Gehasi could not see correctly, Elisha had to pray that God should open his eyes. “And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.” 2 Kings 6:17

I ask God to open your eyes to see the impossible so that you can do the impossible in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: O God, open my eyes that I may see in Jesus name.

Three months are enough

“And the ark of the Lord continued in the house of Obededom the Gittite three months: and the Lord blessed Obededom, and all his household.” 2 Samuel 6:11

This is the last quarter in the year 2018, the year will be ending in the next three months. These last three months are enough for God to transform your life. Revisit your goals for this year, ask God to bless you and re-strategize for last hour breakthroughs.

The ark of the Lord spent only three months in the house of Obededom. The person who sent the Ark there was expecting the Ark to kill him. But he received the ark with preparation and honor. The Ark brought the presence of the Lord into his house, he and his entire household were consequently blessed.

Now listen, if you have fallen in the last nine months, the Lord shall raise you up in the next three months. If you have made mistakes in the last nine months, the Lord shall restore you in the next three months. If you have failed in the last nine months, the Lord shall give you success in the next three months. The next three months shall be your best this year in Jesus name. One thing is necessary, be conscious of the presence of God in your life, honor Him and obey Him.

“For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. …….” 2 Chronicles 16:9a

I decree that God will show Himself strong on your behalf in the next three months in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: O God give me a turnaround breakthrough before this year ends in Jesus name.

Re-igniting the fire in you

“Then the Lord reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, “I have put my words in your mouth. See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant.”” Jeremiah 1:9-10.

There is a fire you. Your glory, impact, impart, influence, prosperity is linked to this fire. Your divine assignment, vision, mission, goals are linked to this fire. When the fire is burning, your rising and shining is guaranteed. This fire is what God has put in you to power your destiny. It must be discovered, directed, focused and targeted to achieve its purpose.

The fire can be neglected, caged, arrested, limited and dormant. The results of this is confusion, struggling, stagnancy, poverty, and failure. The good news is that the fire can be re-ignited. When it is re-reignited, failure, struggling and husting are terminated, you arise and shine, and possess your possessions. The re-igniting is done through information, revelation and impartation. This is what the destiny conference scheduled for this weekend will achieve in your life. The conference will hold on Saturday October 6, at Hall 303, Ancore building, opposite cubana, cnr Steve Biko & Robert Sobukwe str., Sunnyside, Pretoria at 8am. If you are in Pretoria and the environment, don’t miss it. Theme is “Re-igniting the fire in you”

God informed and revealed to Jeremiah the fire He deposited in him, and imparted him for the fire to burn. The rest is history, Jeremiah made his mark on earth.

I decree that you will not die unsung in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I receive the information, the revelation and the impartation to re-ignite the fire in me in Jesus name.

Dealing with the flesh and the devil

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” James 4:7
“Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.” Colossians 3:5

This world is a realm of man. The devil is the prince of this world but needs the cooperation of man to exercise his authority on earth. Wherever the work of the flesh is in operation, devil always operate freely. This is why the work of the flesh is easily confused with the work of the devil.
“Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.” Galatians 5:19-21.

The first thing you should know is that if the work of the flesh is dealt with you will not struggle with the work of the devil. The second thing you need to know is that the work of the flesh must be killed but the devil must be resisted and bound. Let me quickly borrow a word from fire extinguishing. To kill a fire, you must starve it of oxygen. To kill the work of the flesh you must starve it of its desire. You don’t speak in tongue when you are under temptation of fornication, you flee. The third thing you need to know is that it is easier to deal with the devil and demons than to deal with the work of the flesh. You can pray in the tongues, get anointed and drive out devils but you cannot cast out the work of the flesh. The work of the flesh must be killed. Don’t let hatred, un-forgiveness, strife and others dominate your life. As a child of God, kill them before they kill you. Finally, if you submit yourself to God, the devil cannot have his way in your life.

May you be empowered to exercise dominion over the devil and the flesh in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I destroy every manifestation of the work of the flesh in my life, I choose to live by the Spirit and in obedience to God in Jesus name.
