The fruit of repentance

“Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance.” Matthew 3:8

Whenever there is a change of heart, there will also be a change of fruit. The greatest miracle of salvation is a change of heart: all the bad things I used to do, I do them no more. It is possible for someone to receive other miracles and not receive a miracle of salvation. I learnt that early in my ministry when a lame man walked but did not give his heart to Jesus. When Jesus comes into someone’s heart there will be a definite change of life.

“And Zacchaeus stood, and said unto the Lord: Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.  And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.” Luke 19:8-9
“And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry; Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.” 1 Timothy 1:12-13

Beloved, if you are a Christian, where is the fruit of your salvation? You cannot be born again and your life remain the same. The evidence of your Christianity is the fruit of your repentance.

May the fruit of Christianity be evident in your life.

Prayer for today: Oh Lord, let my life produce fruits that will glorify you in Jesus name.

The word, the heart and the fruit

“And these are they which are sown on good ground; such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some an hundred.” Mark 4:20

The fruit of your life is determined by the word planted in your heart. Two things are important for you to predict the fruit of your life, the preparation of your heart and the reception of the word.

The preparation of the heart involves dealing with whatever that can kill the word in your heart. These include satan, the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things. The other is persecution or affliction which is a test of the word you have received and can kill the word only if it is not having root in your heart.

The reception of the word involves positioning yourself for the word that you need, accepting and believing the word. Hebrews 4:2 says, “For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.”

The implication of this is that if you don’t like the fruit of your life, you have to examine the word you are receiving and the heart with which you are receiving it.

May you be positioned to receive in your heart the word that will produce quality fruits in your life in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh Lord, let not my heart be hardened when you speak to me in Jesus name.

Mining the mind 5

“A man's heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps.” Proverbs 16:9
“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he…..” Proverbs 23:7

The fourth instrument that you need to explore your mind is purposeful thinking. Purposeful thinking means thinking about the solution to the problem. It is like digging your mind to produce a course of action that will change your life or solve a problem.

“And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!” Luke 15:17
“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Phillipians 4:8

To think creatively, positively and purposefully, your belief system is very important. You must believe that God has given you capability to make things happen and to change things. You must also believe that God has a good plan for your life to give you an expected end. You must believe that all things are possible.

May your mind produce results that will change your life in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Let my mind be provoked to think creatively, positively and purposefully in Jesus name.

Mining the mind 4

“So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding.” Proverbs 2:2

The third instrument that you need to explore your mind is purposeful listening. Purposeful listening means listening to what you need to hear and getting understanding. Unfortunately, not everyone that listens, understands. Also, there are so much noises out there that are not important to your mind. If you cannot hear then your mind is closed and cannot be explored.

Mathew 13:15 says, “For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.” The heart and the mind are used interchangeably in the bible. When a heart is waxed strong, it means there is no access. The mind has solutions that can provide a change of situation (conversion) and healing (solutions). Hearing will give you access.

You must listen to your father for your mind to deliver. Your father does not only mean your biological father but someone who knows more on a subject matter than you or that have answers you are looking for. Proverbs 4:1 says, “Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding.”

May you gain access to information that will give light to your mind in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Let my hear be opened to hear correctly and my mind to gain understanding in Jesus name.

Mining the mind 3

“The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.” Psalm 119:130

I have said it over and over again, you need light to explore your mind and bring out the treasures hidden in it. The second instrument that will bring light to your mind is purposeful reading. The movement you have identify the questions you want your mind to answer or the problems you want it to solve, choose books written in that area and begin to read them.

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Joshua 1:8.
“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Psalm 119:105

The bible is the greatest source of light. If you saturate your mind with the bible, you will always have answer to all matters in the affair of life. However, there are men who have become experts in some fields and have put their knowledge in writing, if you read their books, your mind will become illuminated to deliver. There are many books, but you must read purposefully in order to give your mind a direction.

May you be passionate for reading and reading relevant books in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Holy Spirit, guide me to the books that will illuminate my mind for positive results in Jesus name.

Mining the mind 2

“In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” 2 Corinthians 4:4

Your mind simply needs light for you to access the treasure in it. The first instrument that will bring light to your mind is purposeful looking or purposeful focus. You must be looking for something or you must focus your mind on something if you want to access the treasure in your mind.

“The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.” Mathew 6:22.
“And as thy servant was busy here and there, he was gone….” 1 Kings 20:40a

If you focus your mind on a solution you desire, the mind will produce it. If your mind is scattered, busy here and there, you will not get the best out of it. Jesus said your eyes must be single so that there can be illumination. Your mind has the solution you are looking for, but focus is what will make it deliver.

May you your mind be separated from the noise around in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Let my mind deliver the ideas that will change my life in Jesus name.

Mining the mind 1

“There are mines where silver is dug; There are places where gold is refined.” Job 28:1 (GNT)

By your redemption, God gave you a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). The same mind which was in Jesus is now in you (Philippians 2:5). Your mind is loaded with treasures more than any physical land deposits of silver and gold in this world. Your mind is full of opportunities, ideas and innovations that will change your life. You must mine your mind for quality life on earth.

“And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.” Hebrews 11:15
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:2
“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” Proverbs 4:23

You can mine your mind through the instruments of purposeful looking, purposeful reading, purposeful listening and purposeful thinking. These are what I will be sharing with you in the next few days.

May you access the great deposits that God has put in your mind in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Let the light of God shine on my mind for access into God’s treasure in Jesus name.

Mind your mind

“Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.” Genesis 50:20

You don’t have control about what people are saying or thinking about you but you do have control over your mind and your goals. So when you set your mind on achieving a goal and things are not going well, people will say all manner of things. Don’t be moved by that because people easily change their minds when they see results.

Paul was on a voyage to Rome as a prisoner and a lot of things went wrong along the way. There was the tempestuous wind, called Euroclydon who almost killed all on board. They all escaped death by divine intervention and landed in an island called Melita. As Paul was gathering sticks to make fire, a deadly snake hanged on his hand. People started expecting him to fall down and die, and they were thinking that he passed through such situation because he was an evil man. Little did they know that God has commissioned him to go and preach in Rome. But when they saw that he did not die, they quickly changed their mind and concluded he was a god.

Beloved, I see people changing their mind because God will show up in your situation and you will achieve your goals in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, give me results that will shut down the mouth of my adversary in Jesus name.

God shall turn it to good

“But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.” Genesis 50:20

What the enemy meant for evil, God shall turn to good. Do not focus too much on what the enemy is doing, focus on your goal and see God using your enemy for you all the way. Your enemy can help you to get to your destination if you understand that he or she does not have the final say about your life.

The truth is that some of us need ‘good enemy’ to be who God wants us to be. Joseph would have stayed permanently with his father if not for the fact that he was sold to the Ishmeelites by his brothers. He would have stayed permanently with Potiphar if not for the lies of Potiphar’s wife against him. Anna would have been contented with double portion of food if not for the provocation of Peninnah. Her positive response to that provocation gave her Samuel and six more children. Many of us would not have known the power of God if not for the fact that we were faced with adversaries and situations that were stronger than us.

May your enemy become your stepping stones to glory in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, what the enemy meant for evil, turn it to good for me in Jesus name.

Walking in God’s power 7

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17

If you desire to walk in God’s power, you must be hungry for the word. You cannot have access to God’s word and remain the same. When you are full of God’s word, you will always be able to declare the word in every situation both with you and around you. This will activate the spirit of faith for supernatural manifestation. Luke 6:45b says, “for of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.”

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Joshua 1:8.
“Then spake Joshua to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon. And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies…” Joshua 10:12-13

Joshua was full of God’s word, so that when he spoke to the moon and the sun, they all obeyed. Jesus said in John 10:35, “If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;”

May you be hungry for the word of God in Jesus name.

Walking in God’s power 6

“Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.” Mathew 17:21

How do you boost your believing in order to walk in the spirit of faith so that you can experience the power of God? One way is to engage fasting with your prayer. Our text this morning is one of the words of our Lord Jesus Christ. His disciple could not help a young boy who was lunatic. Jesus told them they could not cast the demon out because of unbelief. Moreover, He added that this kind required prayer and fasting. The implication is that you can boost your believing by prayer and fasting.

“Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.” Esther 4:16

Make fasting part of your regular exercise if you want to walk in the supernatural. When you add fasting to your prayer, it becomes easy for you to believe for the supernatural. One of the stories that encouraged me in this area was the story of Late Lester Sumrall dealing with a demonic case in Manila. The issue was a national one because some demons were biting a girl and no one could help her. He fasted and was able to help the girl. That was the beginning of his breakthrough in ministry in Philippines.

May you walk in the supernatural in the Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I receive grace for fasting and prayer in Jesus name.

Walking in God’s power 5

“We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;” 2 Cor 4:13

You must walk in the spirit of faith if you desire to walk in God’s power. The spirit of faith is what empowers your word to make things happen. When you operate in the spirit of faith, nothing is impossible. There are two major constituents of the spirit of faith: believing and speaking. You must speak what you believe to see the supernatural. You must believe God and His word, and speak the word you believe to walk in the power of God.

“Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.” Acts 3:6
“And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.” Acts 16:18

Peter activated the spirit of faith when he spoke to the lame man at the beautiful gate to rise up and walk. Paul did the same in dealing with the spirit of divination that possessed the young girl who he met in Macedonia. The difficult part of the spirit of faith is believing and believing correctly. You can boost the believing aspect of the spirit of faith by fasting and prayer, and by meditation on the word of God. I will emphasis on these two in the subsequent messages.

May you be possessed by the spirit of faith in the Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I receive God’s kind of faith into my spirit in Jesus name.

Walking in God’s power 4

“And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the Lord God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.” 1 Kings 17:1

Yesterday I emphasized the importance of spending time with Jesus. This morning I want to say more on that with emphasis on mantle of power and the word encounter. These are the ingredients that make the word of an ordinary man to become exactly God’s word. Elijah was standing before God and said to Ahab that things would happen according to his own word.

“Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;” John 10:34-35
“And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.” Luke 24:49

The talk in Christian world about mantle of power and fire began with Elijah. He eventually transferred the mantle to Elisha. Where did he get the mantle from? He got it from the presence of God. Jesus said to the disciple if they tarried they would be endued with power from on high. He also affirmed the scripture that he who has a word encounter can demonstrate power as God. Beloved, the mantle of power today is not a physical cloth. It is the Holy Ghost on a believer and the revelation of God’s word in his or her life.

May you encounter the word of God and may you be endued with power from on high in the Jesus name.
Prayer for today: Let the mantle of fire fall upon me in Jesus name.

Walking in God’s power 3

“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.” Acts 4:13

If you desire to walk in God’s power, you must spend time with Jesus. Jesus is the wisdom and the power of God (1 Cor. 1:24). He is also the baptizer in the Holy Spirit through Whom the believers today are endued with power and are blessed with supernatural gifts (Mathew 3:11).

“Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.” Acts 8:5-6
“And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.” Acts 19:11-12

What did Jesus do to the disciple that made them to walk in power? He instructed them and imparted them. You must allow Him to instruct you and to impart you if you want to walk in power.  Paul and Philips did not meet Jesus physically, yet they walked in power. You must spend time with the word (instruction) and you must ask Him to endue you with power from on high (impartation).

May you not be too busy to spend time with Jesus in the word and in prayer in the name of Jesus Christ.

Prayer for today: Lord Jesus, grant me access into the mystery of your word and endue me with power from on high.

Walking in God’s power 2

“For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.” Hebrews 8:7

The greatest challenge you need to deal with for you to walk in God’s power is the issue of conflicting covenants. This is the reason why genuine Christians struggle to live the Christian life. If your forefathers did not serve God or they went to church and still engaged in the worship of strange gods, you have to deal with this issue. The good news is that you have a scriptural basis to annul every covenant conflicting with the covenant of God in your life. The demonic covenants must make room for the covenant of God sealed with the blood of Jesus if you desire to walk in the power of God.

“Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.” Colossians 2:14-15

Most times, this issue is hidden and you have to pray to expose it and deal with it. When you pray the fire of the Holy Ghost upon your life, you begin to see revelations that will expose the activity of hidden covenants and be able to deal with it successfully. You must know that you cannot be involved in the worship of strange god whether by proxy or directly if you want the power of God in your life.

Let the fire of the Holy Ghost fall upon you in the name of Jesus Christ.

Prayer for today: I annul every hidden and unknown covenant conflicting with the covenant of God in my life in Jesus name.

Walking in God’s power 1

“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.” Luke 10:19-20

In the next few days, I will be sharing with you on walking in God’s power. It is important first to emphasize that the most important power is the salvation power. It is possible for a person to demonstrate power on earth and still go to hell. It is possible for a person to experience a miracle and still not be saved. Jesus told the disciples that they should rejoice that their names are written in heaven. It is important for you and me to continue to walk in obedience.

“Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?  And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” Mathew 7:22-23
“Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.” Philippians 2:12

However, it is equally important for you and me to demonstrate and walk in the power that God has given to us through our redemption. I have seen God demonstrated His power to heal, deliver and to do miracles before my ordination into the ministry and since then. Two times, I have seen the dead brought back to life. I have seen twisted legs restored. I have seen someone who was about to be operated healed by the power of God. I have seen someone deaf in one of the ears got her hearing back after forty years. I have come to this conclusion; the devil can only operate within the limits that a Christian has given him. Our text says, you have been given power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy.

May you walk in the power of God in the name of Jesus Christ.

Prayer for today: Let the fire of the Holy Ghost fall on me in Jesus name.

Power in Christianity 5

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Hebrews 4:16

The fifth power in Christianity is the power in the word of God. Both the written and the spoken word of God have power to change things, put devil where he belongs and secure divine inheritance. You cannot have the word and go down. It is the answer to all problems on earth. When the word and the spirit are in place, you have the might of the almighty God in place. The word has creative power. The word has revelation power. The word has healing power. The word has restoration and reparation power. The word of God is God Himself.

“And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.” Genesis 1:2-3
“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.” John 1:1-3

Jesus answered the devil with the word and said man needs the word to live (Mathew 4:4). The Centurion told Jesus to speak the word only (Mathew 8:8). Peter acted on the word and the failure situation changed to success (Luke 5:5-6). Joseph was kept in prison until his word came (Psalms 105:17-20).

May the word of the Lord come to you in every situation in the name of Jesus

Prayer for today: I activate the power in the word of God in all my challenges in life in Jesus name.

Power in Christianity 4

“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philipians 2:9-11

The fourth power in Christianity is the power in the name of Jesus. The name of Jesus has been given to all Christians to change things and to enforce the will of God on earth. All realms are covered by the name: heavens, earth and underneath the earth. No power in any realm can withstand the name of Jesus.

“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;” Mark 16:17
“And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.” Acts 3:16

The activity of the devil in any area can be terminated by the use of the name of Jesus. Everything on earth has capacity to obey and respond to the name of Jesus. Any believer who believes and understands the power that is in this name is a threat to the kingdom of darkness. Acts 16:18 says, “And this did she many days. But Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.” Use the name of Jesus to terminate the work of evil around you.

I decree in the name of Jesus that you shall be on fire for God. You shall do wonders with the name of Jesus

Prayer for today: I declare that the name of Jesus shall not be in vain in my life in Jesus name.

Power in Christianity 3

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Acts 1:8

The third power in Christianity is the Holy Ghost power. This is the power than enables you to make things happen supernaturally and deal with the wickedness of satan and his kingdom. This is the power behind all miracles and divine intervention in the realm of men. The is the power behind restoration, healings, deliverance, effective witnessing and kingdom oriented results.

“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” Acts 10:38
“Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed.” Acts 8:5-7

As a Christian you must walk in and carry the power of the Holy Ghost if you desire the supernatural. When you have experienced the salvation and covenant power, you have access to the power of the Holy Ghost. You must consciously ask for this power and spend time with God so that you are endued with this power from on high.

Let the fire of the Holy Ghost fall upon you in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God anoint me with the Holy Ghost and power in Jesus name.

Power in Christianity 2

“This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.” Mathew 26:28

The second power in Christianity is the covenant power. This power makes you to belong to God. It allows God to claim ownership over you and be jealous over you. This is sealed by the blood and the flesh of Jesus. This is the power that exempts you from the wickedness of this world. This gives you direct access into the presence of God and permits you to receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

“Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.” Hebrews 9:20
“He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him. As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.” John 6:56-57

The covenant power actually makes us to be like Jesus and becomes a joint heir with him. The consciousness of the covenant power makes a Christian to carry himself or herself like Jesus on earth. The covenant puts the seal and the marks of Jesus on you.

May you walk in the consciousness of the covenant God has placed on you in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I belong to Jesus and I walk in the power of the blood covenant in Jesus name.

Power in Christianity 1

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth……...” Romans 1:16

The first power in Christianity is the salvation power. Your redemption was enforced by power so you are not powerless. You became a Christian by experiencing the spirit birth: you heard the word, the Holy Spirit moved upon you, the veil on your minds was taking away, you received the Gospel and became born again.

“That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” John 3:6
“But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” 2 Corinthians 4:3-4

The god of this world did not want to release you, but the power of the Gospel broke his hold over your life and your redemption was secured. You became translated from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of God. This power changed your life. Your sins are forgiven. You became part of the family of God. Beloved, the implication of this is that as a Christian you are not powerless.

May you walk in power every day of your life in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I invoke the power that saved my soul against the powers attacking my life in Jesus name.

Your true strength 5

“And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.” 1 Samuel 15:22

Your true strength is reflected in your capacity to obey God. Obedience to God gives you access to the best of God in life. Obedience to God makes you indomitable when the enemy attacks you. Obedience to God creates a safe zone for you in the midst of this tempestuous world. Obedience to God keeps you standing despite the storms of life. The wisest thing to do on earth is to obey God.

“Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.” Matthew 7:24-25
“And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.” 2 Corinthians 10:6

Beloved, what you do with God’s specific instructions for your life is what determines your strength in this world. The best thing that can happen to you is to hear God. The best thing you can do with it is to obey. If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.  If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land.

May you live in obedience to God at all times in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, help me to live a life of total obedience to your word in Jesus name.

Your true strength 4

“For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day.” 2 Timothy 1:12

Your true strength is reflected in your capacity to trust God with your life. This is the consciousness of the presence of God with you and in you which gives you boldness that it is going to be good come what may. This excludes worry and anxiety out of your life when in the midst of the storms of life. It gives you guaranty that the determinant of the outcome is your God and not the storm.

“For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God:.” Job 19:25-26
“And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of any man's life among you, but of the ship………. Wherefore, sirs, be of good cheer: for I believe God, that it shall be even as it was told me.” Acts 27:22-25

Beloved, your future is predictable if God is with you and you know it. God will not only deliver you, He will establish and increase you. Your weeping may endure for a night, joy is guaranteed in the morning. Choose the company of those who trust God. They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever (Psalm 125:1).

May you be guided by your trust in God in every situation you find yourself in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, help me to trust you more and more in Jesus name.

Your true strength 3

“For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” Philippians 2:13
“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31

Your true strength is reflected by how much of God you allow in your life. What God can do through you is more important than what you can do by yourself! Whose image are you projecting? Whose are you? The measure of your true strength is determined by your ability to lay down your strength and your weakness for God’s strength.

“Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:” Hebrews 1:3
“And when Saul saw David go forth against the Philistine, he said unto Abner, the captain of the host, Abner, whose son is this youth? And Abner said, As thy soul liveth, O king, I cannot tell.” 1 Samuel 17:55

Understanding the mystery of your redemption and the mystery of walking in the wisdom and the power of God is what cumulate in your strength on earth. You are gods. Greater is He that is in you. You have access to revelation and the mystery of His words. You can display the strength of God in every situation you find yourself.

May you be an express image of the glorious God on earth in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, display your strength in me and through me in Jesus name.

Your true strength 2

“But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.” Luke 22:26

Your true strength is reflected in your capability to serve. Your capability to make things happen for people around you and the community in which God has planted you. The real leaders are the people who serve others.

Promotion, reward, leadership is handed over at the place of service. If you are too big to serve, you will be too big to lead. If you dodge service, you dodge the reward also.

“Then answered one of the servants, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, that is cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a comely person, and the Lord is with him.” 1 Samuel 16:18
“And the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.” Genesis 39:2

Let me ask you, can people count on you in your place of work? What are you doing for God in the church you attend? Or you are waiting until you become a Pastor? God will not call you unless he finds you faithful in service! There is a service whose reward is for eternity and that is the service that is connected with the redemption of the souls of men. May you find your place in this service.

May you receive grace to serve. May your service be rewarded in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Here I am, use me oh Lord, in Jesus name.

Your true strength 1

“If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.” Proverbs 24:10

Your true strength is the amount of information you have received and are willing to put to use, not the amount of food you eat. Your daily intake of knowledge determines your capacity to take what belong to you. Be aggressive first for the word from the Lord and then for useful information from men. You can never live beyond the level of information you have.

“But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Mathew 4:4
“……. but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” Daniel 11:32
“Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.” Mathew 22:29

You will always dominate whatever comes your way if you are adequately informed spiritually and intellectually. The measure of your strength is the adversity you are able to handle. If you have “swallowed” God, you can handle any situation. 1 John 4:4, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” You will be weak if you are waiting for a man of God to do what you are supposed to do. Sit down, work on your knowledge of God and the exploits He has done through men.

I see you growing in grace as you work on your knowledge of God.

Prayer for today: Show me your way Oh God that I may be your instrument of exploits on earth in Jesus name.

Mysteries of unanswered prayers 4

“Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.” 2 Corinthian 2:11
“Neither give place to the devil.” Ephesians 4:27

Beloved, your prayers are answered in Jesus name. There is a thief and robber of good things, his name is satan, don’t let him take advantage of you, do not give room to him in your life. He seeks a place where there is ignorance, unbelief, disobedience and unforgiveness.

“And he shewed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to resist him.  And the Lord said unto Satan, The Lord rebuke thee, O Satan; even the Lord that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire? Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and stood before the angel.” Zechariah 3:1-3

Joshua the high priest was a firebrand Man of God. But satan was standing by him to resist him. Why? He had a filthy garment on himself. Until the garment was taken away, he did not experience the blessing of God. Beloved, I know you are a Christian, leave sin alone, every disobedience in your life permits the devil to work again you. Forgive whosoever has offended you and don’t walk in unbelief. Do not be ignorant of his devices.

May this month be profitable for you in Jesus name. Happy new month.

Prayer for today: There is no room for satan to hinder my prayers in Jesus name.

Mysteries of unanswered prayers 3

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:12

When a request involves dealing with a strongman, wrestling is needed. If the person involved is not willing to wrestle, he may not see answers to his prayers despite the fact that God has answered them. This is one of the reasons why you should never give up in prayers.  The moment you have established that your request is the will of God for your life, you must not take no for an answer. This is because you may be dealing with an hindering force or personality.

“Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.  But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.” Daniel 10:12-13

Daniel had an answer from God the first day he prayed but the Angel bringing his answer was arrested and detained by the forces of darkness. Daniel continued to wrestle in prayers until the Angel was released.  He got the answer only after twenty one days. If he had stopped praying he would have forfeited the answer and concluded that God did  not answer.

May the request you have been waiting for be released to you in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I break the power of the devil over my blessings in Jesus name.
