“But ye shall not be so: but he that is greatest among you, let him
be as the younger; and he that is chief, as he that doth serve.” Luke 22:26
Your true strength is reflected in
your capability to serve. Your capability to make things happen for people around
you and the community in which God has planted you. The real leaders are the
people who serve others.
Promotion, reward, leadership is
handed over at the place of service. If you are too big to serve, you will be
too big to lead. If you dodge service, you dodge the reward also.
“Then answered one of the
servants, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, that
is cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent
in matters, and a comely person, and the Lord is with him.” 1 Samuel 16:18
“And the Lord was with Joseph, and
he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.”
Genesis 39:2
Let me ask you, can people count
on you in your place of work? What are you doing for God in the church you
attend? Or you are waiting until you become a Pastor? God will not call you
unless he finds you faithful in service! There is a service whose reward is for
eternity and that is the service that is connected with the redemption of the
souls of men. May you find your place in this service.
May you receive grace to serve.
May your service be rewarded in Jesus name.
Prayer for today: Here I am, use me oh
Lord, in Jesus name.
