Mysteries of unanswered prayers 3

“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” Ephesians 6:12

When a request involves dealing with a strongman, wrestling is needed. If the person involved is not willing to wrestle, he may not see answers to his prayers despite the fact that God has answered them. This is one of the reasons why you should never give up in prayers.  The moment you have established that your request is the will of God for your life, you must not take no for an answer. This is because you may be dealing with an hindering force or personality.

“Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.  But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.” Daniel 10:12-13

Daniel had an answer from God the first day he prayed but the Angel bringing his answer was arrested and detained by the forces of darkness. Daniel continued to wrestle in prayers until the Angel was released.  He got the answer only after twenty one days. If he had stopped praying he would have forfeited the answer and concluded that God did  not answer.

May the request you have been waiting for be released to you in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I break the power of the devil over my blessings in Jesus name.
