“And Samuel said, Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings
and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better
than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams.” 1 Samuel 15:22
Your true strength is reflected in
your capacity to obey God. Obedience to God gives you access to the best of God
in life. Obedience to God makes you indomitable when the enemy attacks you.
Obedience to God creates a safe zone for you in the midst of this tempestuous world.
Obedience to God keeps you standing despite the storms of life. The wisest
thing to do on earth is to obey God.
“Therefore whosoever heareth these
sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built
his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the
winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon
a rock.” Matthew 7:24-25
“And having in a readiness to
revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.” 2 Corinthians 10:6
Beloved, what you do with God’s
specific instructions for your life is what determines your strength in this
world. The best thing that can happen to you is to hear God. The best thing you
can do with it is to obey. If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their
days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat
the good of the land.
May you live in obedience to God
at all times in Jesus name.
Prayer for today: Oh God, help me to live
a life of total obedience to your word in Jesus name.
