Access key

“Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.” Luke 11:52

The true access to anything in this world is knowledge. Anyone who hinders you from knowing is hindering your access. This is the main strategy the devil has used to hinder many, including unbelievers and even Christians. If there is anything you desire to experience in life, your key is to invest in knowledge. It is important for you to give yourself to focused and purposeful learning, particularly in the area of your life where you are struggling.

“In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” 2 Corinthians 4:4

“The labour of the foolish wearieth every one of them, because he knoweth not how to go to the city.” Ecclesiastes 10:15

Action without the appropriate knowledge base is foolishness. Hard work without sound knowledge leads to failure. In whatever you want to do, go for knowledge first. Knowledge gives light. This is your access key to all that pertains to life and godliness. It is your power over darkness and closed doors.

I see closed doors opening to you this month in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, guide me to know and to access all that you have for me this year in Jesus name.

Call to Salvation: Lord Jesus, I believe in the forgiveness of sin and in the redemption from the power of darkness through your blood. I confess you as my Savior and Lord.  I invite you into my life to save my soul. Holy Spirit, come into my heart and make me what you want me to be. Thank you Lord for saving me in Jesus name.

Finishing anointing

“The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto you.” Zechariah 4:9

It is exciting to finish and successfully complete a good project. However, most times, the project may be threatened by unnecessary delays, unusual oppositions,  temporary failures, and others. At such time you need to connect to the finishing anointing, the power of God to crush all barriers and subdue all oppositions. Beloved, I have a word from the Lord for you, this project shall be successfully completed in good time in Jesus name.

“Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts. Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.” Zechariah 4:6

“Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:” Philippians 1:6

When Zerubbabel started the building of the temple, opposition came up like a great mountain. God assured him that His Spirit would help him and the great mountain would become a plain so that his hands should finish it. Perhaps you are experiencing a similar situation right now, you will ask the Spirit of God to rest upon you to empower you to finish the project. The Spirit of God upon a man is the anointing and this morning I am talking about a specific anointing that will empower you with the wisdom, the favor, and the strength to overcome all hindrances and bring projects to completion.

As September 2021 comes to an end today, may the finishing anointing rest upon you in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, anoint me to successfully complete this project in Jesus name.

Faith or fear? Your choice

“And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.”Nub 13:30

It is true that faith or fear is a choice. However, fear is a natural choice while faith is a spiritual choice.  It is human to choose fear, it is divine to choose faith. If you want faith to be a natural choice for you, you must feed your mind with the word of God and receive the spirit of faith. The truth of your situation is seen by the eyes of the spirit, not by your feelings or physical eyes. Please stop justifying your choice of fear, it will hurt you, open the door for the enemy, and limit God in your life.

“But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the land whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it.” Numbers 14:24

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7

God did not give fear, reject it. When you face a fear-causing situation, you need to see the spiritual side also. This was what divided the twelve spies into two groups. They all saw the same physical challenge. However, Joshua and Caleb saw beyond that so they chose faith and reject fear. God asked me to tell you this morning, that He will see you through so choose faith and not fear.

Let faith live and fear die in you in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, baptize me with the spirit of faith in Jesus name.

Miracles in Principles

“And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?” Mark 6:3

It is true that life is governed by principle, but not by miracle. However, if you walk in principle you will always walk in miracles. When you simply obey the principles of the word of God, you enjoy the supernatural. This is the wisdom of God.  Everything in life has the principle that guides it, if you find the principle and obey it, you become a wonder unto many. Fortunately, you can find these principles in the scriptures.

“Then said Jesus unto them, When ye have lifted up the Son of man, then shall ye know that I am he, and that I do nothing of myself; but as my Father hath taught me, I speak these things.” John 8:28

“And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:” Mark 4:11

I don’t know what you desire, is it fruitfulness, success, prosperity, or anything that pertains to life and godliness. Simply seek what the word of God says about it and do it. This is true spirituality. This is the winning wisdom. This is the answer to all life’s questions. This is the secret of the supernatural ministry of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

May you walk in the wisdom of God.

Prayer for today: Oh God, make me a positive wonder unto many in Jesus name.

Beyond your expectations!

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.” Ephesians 3:20

When you give your situation to God, He will handle it beyond your expectations. Going through the scriptures, there is no situation today that we can find ourselves that is not mentioned. In all cases God handled them beyond expectations. These include divine deliverance (Exodus 12-14, Act 12:5-10, Acts 16:25-26); divine prosperity (Genesis 30:36-43, Luke 5:5-6); Divine provision (1 kings 17:12-16, 2 kings 4:1-7); divine health and healing (Psalm 105:37, Mark 5:29), divine connection (Genesis 41:9-14, 1 Samuel 16:18); divine security and protection (Daniel 3:24-25;6:22, Psalm 91) and miracles, signs and wonders (Isaiah 8:18). Beloved, whatever you are praying or thinking, God will handle for you beyond your expectations.

“For they got not the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them: but thy right hand, and thine arm, and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them.” Psalm 44:3

“The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.” Exodus 14:14

As we come to the last days in September, I see God exceeding your expectations. I see Him fight your battles. I see Him answering your prayers. If you have prayed about any situation, stop worrying about it.

Prayer for today: Oh God, let my allocated testimony for the month of September manifest in Jesus name.

Following Jesus 11

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.” Mathew 13:44.

Jesus taught about commitment as a key to entering the kingdom of heaven. This commitment demands all that you have. Jesus taught about the Kingdom as something both in the present and in the future. He taught about the Kingdom as a system of government where God rules. You are going to exchange man’s way of doing things for God’s own way, if you desire the Kingdom. This takes total commitment. The beginning of this kingdom life is the second birth, being born of the water and of the spirit.

“Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.” John 3:5

“Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” Mathew 6:10

You must strip yourself of all self-sufficiency and humble yourself before God, if you want to experience the kingdom (Mark 10:25, Mathew 5:3). You must desire the will of God in all matters, whether small or big, and do His will at all costs. You must be guided by God’s word, walk by faith, and not by sight. This was the way Jesus lived. You must experience a paradigm shift from earthly thinking to heavenly think. The advantage is that you dominate what dominates them on earth and secure a future in heaven (John 3:31)

May you walk in the wisdom and the power of God on earth in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, help me to be sold out to Your kingdom in Jesus name.

Following Jesus 10

“Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.” John 14: 9.

Jesus showed us how to relate with people. If you are following Jesus, you will not be hurting people.  You will not be a 419, a robber, a killer, or a liar. Anything you are not expecting people to do to you, don’t do to them. Don’t dig pits for people or plot for their fall. Before you do anything, think of yourself on the receiving end. Jesus said this is the law and the prophet. There is no preaching or prophecy that is higher than this.

“He said unto him, What is written in the law? how readest thou? And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself.” Luke 10:26-27

“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” Galatians 6:7

Whatever you do to others will come back to you in multiple folds as a harvest. Jesus summarized the fifth to ten commandments in one word: you shall love your neighbor as yourself. Of course, if you love your neighbor, you will not steal his properties, his wife, or her husband, you will not lie against him or kill him. Go all the way to do good to others and your future is guaranteed.

May you walk in love as you relate with people in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God give me love and wisdom as I Iive among people in Jesus name.

Following Jesus 9

“Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Show us the Father?” John 14: 9.

Jesus showed us how to relate with God. He revealed God to us as a caring, loving, and compassionate Father. He has made our relationship with the Father easy. He is the Father in the flesh. When we love Him, we love the Father. When we obey Him, we obey the Father. When we fellowship with Him, we fellowship with the Father. When we follow Him, we follow the Father.

“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;  Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:” Hebrews 1:1-3

God is not so far from you. He is with you in the person of Jesus. If you have been carrying a burden, give it to Him, ask Him to take it, and stop worrying about it. If you need direction ask Him to direct you and believe that He is leading you. He also has the power to forgive sins on earth, let Him free you from loads of sin and past mistakes. Also, He is the anointed one to deal with your yokes.

Stop worrying the Father is with you in the person of Jesus Christ.

Prayer for today: Lord Jesus, manifest Yourself as the Father in my life.

Following Jesus 8

“Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.” Matthew 6:16.

Jesus also taught His disciples to fast regularly. He fasted forty days and forty nights at the beginning of His ministry. Fasting is not a religious exercise but a preparation to subdue the flesh for God‘s visitation. Prayer and fasting generate power to defeat the kingdom of darkness. Prayer and fasting generate the faith to win in a difficult time. Fasting changes you, and positions you to receive from God.

“Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.” Matthew 17:21

“And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.” Act 13:3

The disciples fasted regularly in the New Testament. You can consecrate a fast unto the Lord for a specific reason. You can receive guidance from the Lord to fast. However, it is important to have a regular time of fasting for spiritual growth. If you fast and pray regularly, you will be standing when the darts of the enemy come to you.

Your prayers are answered in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God give me the grace to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit through a lifestyle of praying and fasting in Jesus name.

Following Jesus 7

“And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, that they may be seen by men. Assuredly, I say to you, they have their reward.” Matthew 6:5.

Jesus taught about prayer as a lifestyle and lived a life of prayer. Prayer is an altar unto God. It is the place where you exchange your weakness for His strength. It is the place where you exchange your will for His will. It is the place where you receive direction and power for kingdom living. The prayer altar must be approached with forgiveness in our hearts and worship of our God.

“When He had come down from the mountain, great multitudes followed Him.” Matthew 8:1

“Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and news of Him went out through all the surrounding region.” Luke 4:14

A strong personal prayer altar strengthens communal prayer. If you want to be in charge of situations around you, you must have a personal prayer altar. Don’t wait for the time of crisis or for Sunday services before you pray. Powerful Christians have strong prayer altars which they service daily. You must pray through for your destiny and maintain a consistent prayer life. Pray through for your children and maintain a prayer altar for them too.

The grace to pray consistently is released unto you in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God give me the power to prevail daily in prayer in Jesus name.

Following Jesus 6

“And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?” Matthew 7:3.

Jesus taught about getting along with people. He was a friend of the people that the Pharisees called sinners. People of different status followed Him. He made us know that people are important for our lives' fulfillment. He taught that we should be teachable, we should not operate our relationships with people like a court of law where we are both the judge and the jury. We should also be forgiving, doing to others exactly what we want them to do to us. People that are difficult to relate with basically violate the principle of His teachings.

“For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:” Matthew 6:14

“Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.” Matthew 7:12

Marriage may be considered the most important relationship in the lives of those who are married.  This requires ultimate commitment and sacrifice to enjoy the benefits. In any case, any relationship God has brought into our lives must be managed with the wisdom of God through our positive response to the teachings of Jesus Christ.

May you always attract the right people in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God help me to relate well with the people you have blessed me with in Jesus name.

Following Jesus 5

“And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him: And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,” Matthew 5:1-2.

Jesus’ specific teachings to His disciples are found in Matthew chapters 5 to 7. If you consider yourself a true disciple of Jesus and you are serious with your destiny in God, please study these teachings and identify the necessary action points for yourself. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal these teachings to you, get extra materials on the teachings, and study them. Jesus said you are His friend if you do whatsoever He commands you (John 15:14). You listen as His disciple, but you obey to become His friend.

“Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.” John 15:15

“And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables: That seeing they may see, and not perceive; and hearing they may hear, and not understand; lest at any time they should be converted, and their sins should be forgiven them.” Mark 4:11-12

Ask Jesus to give you access into the mystery of the kingdom, through the knowledge and understanding of His teachings. Ask for a transformation of your life through His teachings ask for both Angelic and Holy Spirit helps. Ask for the grace to do His word.

Your week is blessed in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I am teachable, Oh Lord Jesus, teach me and lead me.

Following Jesus 4

“And it came to pass, when Jesus had ended these sayings, the people were astonished at his doctrine :For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.” Matthew 7:28-29.

Jesus taught about attitude, prayer, love for God, love for our neighbors, kingdom commitment, discipleship, sin, heaven and hell, subduing the devil, and establishing the kingdom. He did not teach like Professors but like a practitioner. He taught with authority, demonstrated power and compassion. God said you should hear Him, Mary said you should do what He tells you. Jesus said you should follow Him. The answer you are looking for is in His teachings, follow Him.

“While he yet spake, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him.” Matthew 17:5

“His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.” John 2:5

To follow someone is actually to listen to him and do what He says. This is called mentoring. Please let Jesus mentor you. Do not let Him be your savior alone, but both your Savior and your Lord. Let Him guide you because then He shall guard you. Make a decision to follow Jesus at all costs today, it is your key for life and destiny transformation.

This is your day in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Lord Jesus, I ask You to guide and guard me in my destiny journey.

Following Jesus 3

“I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:” Matthew 3:11.

John the Baptist introduced Jesus. You must note that John was preaching about the Kingdom of heaven. In his introduction of Jesus, he was talking of a mightier person who would do a better job about the kingdom. Why? Because Jesus would not only preach about Kingdom, He would also bring power to enforce the kingdom. He should bring the Holy Ghost and fire. This means as Christians, we must have Kingdom mentality and walk in power if we are truly following Jesus.

“And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.” Revelation 5:10

“I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled?” Luke 12:49

You must actually have a priest and a king mentality, pursue a kingdom, and not a religion.  You are here to minister God to the people, bring the people to God, and reign as a king. Now, to do this, you must maintain a daily, consistent relationship with Father and walk in the power of the Holy Ghost. Make sure you have a vision from God and you are working the vision with the wisdom of God and the power of the Holy Ghost. No matter how old you are, your sex, what you have passed through in life, your present and past mistakes, you can still fulfill a vision of the kingdom.

May you operate as king and priest on earth as Jesus, in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, give a vision of the kingdom, and the wisdom and power to fulfill it in Jesus name.

Following Jesus 2

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30.

The answer to every unrest and heavy load in life is learning at the feet of Jesus. Jesus called this learning a yoke because it will challenge your ways of doing things. Your comfortable way of doing things shall be challenged if you decide to follow Jesus. However, He says it is an easy yoke and the result of responding positively to the learning is rest for your soul. Take time to study the life, ministry, and the words of Jesus, and decide to live in the light of the revelation you receive.

“Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:” Mathew 7:24

“It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.” John 6:63

Jesus lived His teachings. He is a reliable and practical teacher. His teachings will impart on you wisdom for daily living. It will give you rest and make you unshakable in the midst of storms and adversities of life. His teachings will definitely take away destructive habits from you. If your conversion has not taken anything away from you then it is questionable. Jesus gives newness of life through His instructions and teachings.

May you seek and follow Jesus instructions in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, I receive Your rest for my soul in Jesus name.

Following Jesus 1

“And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Matthew 4:19.

I will like to refresh our memories on the fundamentals of the Christian life in the next few days. We must not only invite Jesus into our lives, we must follow him. This is the way to fulfill our destinies. This is the way to become who God wants us to be. We cannot follow Him and miss it in life. He is the maker of men. We may have our own plans and ways, but if we submit our plans and ways to Him, we will surely live a fulfilled and successful life.

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” John 1:14

“And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.” Luke 10:39

The grace and truth you need to be on top of all life situations are found in Jesus. You only need to learn at His feet in instructions and in deeds. It is possible to be good at what you do and still fail. But, you cannot fail if you follow Jesus. This was the story of Peter in Luke 5. Jesus did not only give him the instruction that changed him to an instant success, He told him how he could be the best in life. He said to him, follow me, you will graduate from catching fish to catching men.

May you follow Jesus in word and in deed in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, do whatever you want with my life in Jesus name.

Opportunity in adversity 5

“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9.

There is one definition of grace that has not been emphasized, and that is “God’s strength in the inner man.” Grace is a "power" word. It is divine enablement. God calls Grace, “His Strength.” When you receive God’s grace, you receive the ability to do things in His strength. Your true strength in the time of adversity is actually your ability to connect to His grace and operate in His strength. One secret way to do this is to seek Him consistently in a personal fellowship.

“And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” John 1:14

“But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble..” Matthew 4:19

The truth is that you don’t struggle for what you have received grace to do. You flow naturally and enjoy it, though it is difficult. Maybe you are feeling weak and tired of struggling in adversity, please connect to grace. Fortunately, Jesus is full of grace, ask Him to give you the grace you need. Grace is available to the humble, those who will say I cannot go ahead unless God help me.

May the grace to turn adversity into opportunity rest upon you in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, give me more grace  in Jesus name.

Opportunity in adversity 4

“He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.” Proverbs 13:20

Evaluate your association. Who are your companions? You must be surrounded by the right people, if you want to bring opportunity out of adversity. Fortunately, friendship is a choice, association is a choice. Do not be sentimental about it. It is detrimental to be sentimental. You cannot grow beyond your association. Whoever you follow will make or mar your destiny. Leverage on the power of association for a lift in destiny and in the time of adversity.

“Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.” 1 Corinthians 15:33

“And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Matthew 4:19

I have been supported and helped by the right friends who have actually become my brothers and sisters. Actually, if God wants to help you He sends the right people into your life and if the devil wants to destroy you he will send the wrong people into your life. You must learn to accept the right people and reject the wrong people. It is important for you to be supportive of people so that you can attract supportive people into your life. Define your goals before you choose your friend. Enter only the vehicle that is going to your destination.

May you be surrounded by destiny helpers and supporters in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, separate me from unfriendly friends in Jesus name.

Opportunity in adversity 3

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Philippians 4:8

Engage the power of focused thinking, purposeful thinking, positive thinking, possibility thinking, and prayerful thinking to bring out the breakthrough idea in the midst of adversity. Thinking is to the mind what drilling is to an oil field.  Your mind is invaluable, better than any oil field or gold mine. Explore your mind using the power of thinking. Thinking must be your daily exercise if you want a breakthrough idea.

“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.” Proverbs 23:7

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” 3 John 1:2

You cannot achieve more in this life beyond the level of your thoughts. Your prosperity is directly linked to the effectiveness of your mind, which is the intellect department of your soul. Define your goal, separate yourself with a pen and notebook, choose a quiet environment, write out all the possible thoughts that come to you for achieving your goal, analyze and pray about them. Ask God to guide you, do not forget that all things are possible. Ideas rule the world.

May you receive a breakthrough idea in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, give me a breakthrough idea that will announce me to my world in Jesus name.

Opportunity in adversity 2

“And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.” Genesis 21:19

Open your eyes to see the opportunity that adversity brings to you. We do not see opportunities with our physical eyes, but with the eyes of our minds and our spirits. You have to feed your mind and your spirit if you want to see opportunities. Information is the food of the mind. Revelation is the food of the spirit. When you fill your mind with the right information, you empower your mind to see opportunities (Genesis 11:15).

“And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.” Hebrews 11:15

“And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.” 2 Kings 6:17

Give yourself to reading books and meditation on the scriptures. Ask God to open your eyes to see the opportunity. Use the power of self-isolation, avoid the crowd for a season. Write down what has been revealed to you, analyze them, and take action.

May your eyes be opened in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God open my eyes that I may see in Jesus name.

Opportunity in adversity 1

“Man that is born of a woman is of few days and full of trouble.” Job 14:1

Opportunity is hidden in adversity but you need self-motivation to see it. The truth is that adversity is part of our lives, so we must learn to use it to our advantage. It is common to all; no one is exempted. It is the true measure of our strength. You must see it as a weapon, an instrument for your lifting, and not a punishment. The good news is that if it has come to you, you can handle it. More importantly, God will be there for you all the way. Encourage yourself with this.

“If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.” Proverbs 24:10

“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13

If you look at adversity and you respond in a positive way, it will build you, empower you to innovate and create. Adversity is a conflict that, if handle positively is the genesis of creation (Genesis 1:2). In a positive sense, you either conform to it or be transformed by it. However, God wants you to be transformed by it so that you can dominate it and use it to your advantage. Perhaps you are passing through one adversity or the other right now, you shall come out of it in glory in Jesus name

Prayer for today: Oh God arise, turn my adversity to advancement in Jesus name.

Where opportunity hid!

“…..Now therefore come, and let us fall unto the host of the Syrians: if they save us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall but die. And they rose up in the twilight, to go unto the camp of the Syrians: and when they were come to the uttermost part of the camp of Syria, behold, there was no man there.” 2 Kings 7:4-5

Opportunity is hidden in adversity. Wealth is hidden in poverty. Abundance is hidden in scarcity. Healing is hidden in sickness. Deliverance is hidden in bondage. It all depends on your motivation, perception, and action.  The four lepers in our text for today moved in the direction of adversity but found opportunity. Be ready to challenge the status quo, and take the opportunity that adversity has brought to you.

“Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree. Then said the Lord unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.” Jeremiah 1:11-12

“And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.  And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.” Matthew 14:28-29

When you see well, God will help you. Seeing opportunity in adversity is seeing well. Peter walked on water, first alone. When he needed help, Jesus took his hand and they both walked on water. When you identify and take the opportunity, Jesus will be there for you. Seven steps for taking opportunities offered by adversity that I have identified are: stay motivated, open your eyes, brainstorm for ideas, choose your companions, drive yourself, connect to grace and then turn it around.

I see you riding on the wings of Eagle over the adversity of life in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, open my eyes to see the opportunities around me in Jesus name.

The Patience Key

“That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” Hebrews 6:12

Faith and Patience are hard work, but they always deliver. Patience reinforces faith. Patience keeps you on when what you believe seems delayed. Patience helps you handle the time needed for the manifestation of your expectation (Hebrews 6:12). God’s time is different from our time. It takes patience to see the fulfillment of what God has promised. Patience makes you believe until you see the result. Be patient in prayers, in giving, and in doing good works; results are coming.

“And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;:” Romans 4:19-20

“And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience;…...” 2 Peter 1:6

Impatience can change a believer into an unbeliever. Your adversity shall soon be over, but add patience to your faith. Your miracle shall soon manifest, but add patience to your faith. Your mountain shall soon move, but add patience to your faith. Faith cannot make it without patience because your faith will be tested. Not only by your enemy, but by the laws of this earth. Everything takes time, even your noodles take a few minutes to prepare. Within that time that is needed, patience must be in place.

May you walk in patience and see your desired result in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, help me to add patience to my faith in Jesus name.

The Covenant and the Law

“The children of Ephraim, being armed, and carrying bows, turned back in the day of battle. They kept not the covenant of God, and refused to walk in his law" Psalm 78:9-10

You shall not turn back in the day of battle. You shall advance and conquer in Jesus name. Yesterday, I wrote about remembering the act of God. Two other things are also important, staying in the covenant and walking in obedience to His word. If you keep God’s covenant, walk in His law, and remember His act, there is no way you can be beaten by any battle of life. Fortunately, grace is available for all New Testament believers to walk in His covenant and in obedience.

“For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;” Titus 2:11-12

“But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee.” Genesis 6:18

When these three things are in place in your life, what destroys other people becomes your protection. Also, what subdues others become your stepping stone. Declare that nothing shall send you out of His covenant. Declare that you are walking in obedience. Always declare His marvelous work in your life. And see your mountain crumbling and your red sea parting.

You are subduing obstacles in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, let Your act become my daily testimony in Jesus name.

Remember an act of God

“And forgat his works, and his wonders that he had shewed them." Psal 78:11

It is important for you to remember an act of God when confronted with issues of life. If you can remember an act of God, you can connect to faith and receive the boldness that God will help you. This is why listen to testimonies is important. God is not a respecter of persons, what he did for one, he will do for another. The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. Also, if God has delivered you from a Lion, He will also deliver you from a Goliath.

“And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” Revelation 19:10

“David said moreover, The Lord that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the Lord be with thee.” 1 Samuel 17:37

As children of God, we do not win life’s battle by the strength of our weapons, but by the strength of His presence. Remembering an act of God in your life can command His presence in your life. Begin to remind God what He has done for you in the past. Even if the present challenge seems to be bigger, tell God that He is bigger than them all.

I see you winning this battle in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I remember my testimony Oh God, let Your presence be with me and give me victory in Jesus name.

Confront and conquer

“And it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came, and drew nigh to meet David, that David hastened, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine." 1 Samuel 17:48

Confront any challenge that comes to you to conquer it. Do not run away from it. Your lifting and promotion are just beyond the challenge. Do not procrastinate, confront and conquer it now. The presence of God is with you as a child of God. He has said it is not beyond what you can handle and He will also make a way of victory for you (1 Cor 10:13). When others ran from Goliath, David being conscious of God’s presence, confronted and conquered him. This was his breakthrough into the limelight.

“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13

“And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.” Exodus 33:14

I know sometimes it may be overwhelming, but do not complain, confront and conquer it. If you need to pray, pray until the challenge is subdued. If you need to speak to it as speaking to a mountain, speak until you see results. If you need to sow a victory seed, go ahead and do not withhold. If you need to take positive action, just do it. Never run away from the challenge, confront and conquer it.

You have the victory in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I come against this challenge in the name of the Lord and I claim my victory in Jesus name.

Be self-motivated

“And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God." 1 Samuel 30:6

Destiny fulfilment will be hard if you are looking for someone to motivate you, be self-motivated. Find a reason to do what must be done and do it. When discouragement comes, encourage yourself. If you desire to fulfill destiny, the prize of fulfillment must be greater than the cost of the efforts. Drive yourself to destiny fulfillment no matter the situation. The energy within must be stronger than the obstacle without.

“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:2

“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” Joshua 1:9

Have definite goals and expectations. Be conscious of God’s presence. Do not be afraid. Be strong. Be courageous. Do not procrastinate, cultivate the attitude of do it now. Keep your joy, do not allow external factors to determine the joy within you. Keep the prize before you. Be passionate about what you do. These are ingredients for self-motivation.

I decree you will not fall on the way, you shall get there in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I receive fresh passion to fulfil my destiny in Jesus name.

Stop looking back, your destiny is ahead

“Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him" Hebrews 10:38

Hold tight to your dream. Hold tight to your vision. Hold tight to your destiny. Stop looking back, your destiny is ahead, keep at it. Your future is in your dream. Your future is in your vision. It does not matter what is happening right now. If you don’t turn back you shall get there. Stop listening to either the devil or the world. Listen to the word from the Lord, believe it, and run with it. What you are passing through right now is temporal. Don’t allow it to cause you to turn back.  Your future is ahead of you and not behind you.

“And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:62

“For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;” 2 Cor 4:17

Even if you are passing through the fire right now, don’t look back, and don’t stop, the fire will soon be behind you. Don’t stop believing in God. Don’t look back, the direction of your looking is eventually the direction of your going. Press into the fulfilment of your dreams. You are not alone in this journey, don’t turn back. I see you pressing on and getting into the land of your fulfilment in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, help me to keep at it and take me into my land of fulfillment in Jesus name.

Don’t quit and don’t look back

“And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:62

When you have decided to seek God for your destiny, do not quit and do not look back until you get there. You can never seek God in vain (Isaiah 45:19). You have to seek Him with all your whole heart and your strength. Never have an alternative or any plan to quit. Do not behave like Saul, who thought God was too late (1 Samuel 13:11). God will definitely visit you at the nick of time.

“I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the Lord speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.” Isaiah 45:19

“And Samuel said, What hast thou done? And Saul said, Because I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that thou camest not within the days appointed, and that the Philistines gathered themselves together at Michmash;” 1 Samuel 13:11

God is reliable, dependable, and trustworthy. More importantly, if you are His child, He loves you more than any man or woman does love his or her children (Isaiah 49:15). Your greatest security in such a time like this is your confidence that you have found God and you are conscious of the fact that He is with you.

May God’s Spirit rest on you and may His word come to you in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God show me Your glory in Jesus name.

Light to your generation

“And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven: And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?” Ac 9:3-4

The voice you heard will determine the sound you will make on earth. You are not a light generator, but a receiver. The light you receive determines the light you will reflect and consequently the degree of your shining. You only have to position yourself to receive light from heaven in order to make your mark on earth. It does not matter your age, your sex, your limitations, your weakness, your past failure, or prevailing condition, when you receive the light, you lighten our generation.

“Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.” Isaiah 60:1-3

“Jesus answered them, Is it not written in your law, I said, Ye are gods? If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;” John 10:34-35

Your rising depends on the light you have received. The light that was in Daniel, Joseph, David, Paul, and in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ is available to you too. Ask for access to the mystery of God’s word. Ask for the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of God. Ask for a vision from heaven. Ask that the word of God should come to you. Do this consistently and daily in combination with the meditation on the scriptures. Do not stop until you have answers, it does not matter how long it takes.

Your destiny shall count in this generation in Jesus name.

Today is the last day of the fasting and prayer program; please join the prayer online at 8p SA time.

Prayer for today: Oh God, make me a light to this generation in Jesus name.
