Don’t give up

“Brethren, I do not regard myself as having laid hold of it yet; but one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and reaching forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:13-14

You are welcome to the second half of the year 2023. It is the seventh month, the month of rest, perfection, and breakthrough. On this first day of the month, I want to encourage you not to give up. Giving up is not an option. It has been always either too early or too late to give up, you will never find the right time to give up on the right course. What do you then do? Update your information level, find better ways to do what you must do to achieve your goal, remain passionate, pray through, listen to God, and take steps toward your goal. Paul made it, you can make it too!

“And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:62 KJV

“Now the just shall live by faith: But if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.” Hebrews 10:38-39 KJV

Now this message is more important concerning your walk with God. Don’t give up on your walk with God. Spend more time with God, meditate on His word, and follow His voice. You must grow stronger in faith, not weaker.  Make up your mind for more of God this second half, and you will be blessed.

May your faith be stronger, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: I decree that I shall not give up, only the opposition shall give up in Jesus' name.

Salvation: Lord Jesus, I believe in the forgiveness of sin and in the redemption from the power of darkness through your blood. I confess you as my Savior and Lord.  I invite you into my life to save my soul. Holy Spirit, come into my heart and make me what you want me to be. Thank you Lord for saving me in Jesus name.

Six months completed!

“Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18KJV

Today is the last day of the first six months of 2023. We should be grateful for the gift of life and for what has been achieved in the last six months. Even if you feel that nothing has been achieved or changed, please give thanks. This is because you can still go to God and find out what you need to do to change the game in the second half. It can never be over for those who are alive. And if the first half has been good, the second half can be even better.

“For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.” Ecclesiastes 9:4 KJV

“Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” Mark 9:23 KJV

Let me quickly say this: as we move into the second half of the year, it is important for us to approach it with a sense of thanksgiving and a commitment to believing God for a better second half. Giving thanks is key to relating to God, for His gates are opened to grateful people. All things are possible for believers. No matter your past, never doubt your future, particularly if you are a child of God. Study the scripture to identify the mighty act of God on behalf of His own and expect the same in your life.

Disappointment is over in your life, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, as the first half of 2023 ends today, let all my failures end with it in Jesus' name.

Three antidotes to worry

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jeremiah 29:11KJV

The three antidotes to worry I will like to share with you are trust, pray and expect. Worry is a negative emotional force that paralyzes its victims and opens doors for other issues. You must conquer worry if you want to fulfill your life and destiny. There are more challenges today than there have ever been. The element of trust is your assurance that, as long as you walk with God, you cannot go down. All things are working together for your good. Your trust in God will inspire you to align with His purpose for your life. This is the key to conquering worry in your life.

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28 KJV

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don’t forget to thank him for his answers.” Philippians 4:6 TLB

Worrying will not solve any problem, but praying will. Instead of getting worried, pray and thank God for answering your prayers. You can pray until you have peace in your heart. When Hannah prayed, the Bible says her countenance was no longer sad (1 Samuel 1:18). After praying, expect and confess your expectation.  People who pray do not worry; people who worry cannot pray. Pray instead of worrying.

God is turning your situation around for good, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: I reject worry and anxiety in Jesus' name.

How to trust God

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6KJV

We cannot walk with God without trusting Him. We cannot also trust Him without knowing His word, believing His word, and obeying His word. Our trust in the Lord is based on our response to His word. If we respond with trust to His word, we cannot be moved by any circumstances, and we will experience divine intervention in all situations. However, if we reject His word, we become uncertain of our results, just as the people of the world are.

“They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever. As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the Lord is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.” Psalms 125:1-2

“His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.” John 2:5

No matter the situation, you will not have to worry if you trust the Lord and His power to deliver. Always search the scriptures and spend time with God to know His word concerning the situation. Whenever you have the word of God about a situation, you have a breakthrough in the situation. There is no situation you cannot overcome if you receive God’s word and trust Him.

You are blessed in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, send me Your word and heal me  in Jesus' name.

You can’t ignore these!

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might” Ephesians 6:10KJV

As an end-time believer, there are three sources of strength you cannot ignore. These are the knowledge of God, the presence of God, and the anointing of the Holy Spirit.  God has revealed Himself to us through the scriptures.  If you study the Bible, you will be a strong Christian.  If you esteem the presence of God and live in obedience, you will be blessed by God’s presence.  If you are anointed by the Holy Spirit, you will subdue the enemy and get supernatural results.

“Those who do wickedly against the covenant he shall [a]corrupt with flattery; but the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits.” Daniel 11:32

“And He said, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”” Exodus 33:14

The strength that these three sources will give you can never fail and is the greatest strength made available to Man by God. You cannot afford to neglect them. This strength will give you rest in the midst of battle and secure you in all seasons of life. This is the prevailing strength in all circumstances of life.

May your weakness turn to strength in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, reveal Yourself to me, let Your presence be with me, and anoint me with the Holy Spirit in Jesus' name.

Get trained!

“If the iron be blunt, and he do not whet the edge, then must he put to more strength: but wisdom is profitable to direct.” Ecclesiastes 10:10KJV

If you desire to excel in anything in this world, you must get trained. Training is the difference between mediocrity and excellence. There are certain things you will never be able to achieve until you increase your capacity through training. Taking time to go to seminars, short-term training, and empowerment classes may be all you need to change your level in life. Perhaps you have set new goals for your life, or you have a strong desire to achieve a vision; the proper training will empower you to make it happen. Whenever you feel incapacitated, all you need to do is identify the training you need and make time for it. Your arms have the capability to break a bow of steel, but this can only be possible through training.

“He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms.” Psalms 18:34

“I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron.” Isaiah 45:2

No matter how talented you are, training will give you capacity. Even Nebuchadnezzar knew that; he put gifted people through training to take over positions in the palace. It is good to sing and dance in the church, but the most important thing is learning to know God more and to be in charge of destiny. One of the key responsibilities of a pastor is to teach and impart knowledge for capacity building, both spiritually and physically. It breaks my heart when people find it hard to concentrate during a sermon in the church.

May you begin to build your capacity through training in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, give me a desire for learning and a heart for understanding in Jesus' name.

Life up your heads, O ye gates!

“Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.” Psalms 24:7 KJV

You will have to deal with ancestral gates and doors in order to experience a glorious destiny. These are the barriers that hindered your ancestors from experiencing the fullness of God. Thank God that the power to deal with these doors and gates is available in the death and resurrection of Jesus that we are celebrating today. You don’t have to experience the limitations that are operating in your ancestral line.

“When they were past the first and the second ward, they came unto the iron gate that leadeth unto the city; which opened to them of his own accord: and they went out, and passed on through one street; and forthwith the angel departed from him.” Acts 12:10

“I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron.” Isaiah 45:2

Major breakthroughs in life are gated. Marriage, prosperity, academics, business, cities, and nations are spiritually gated. You must deal with the gate of the city to experience the milk and honey in the city. If you are struggling at the gates, you must activate the resurrection power and speak to the gates. May you experience the breakthrough that your forefathers never experienced in Jesus’ name.

Let the resurrection power incubate your life in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: You ancient gates and everlasting doors shut against me; lift up your heads in Jesus' name.

The Necessity of Dominion

“And by thy sword shalt thou live, and shalt serve thy brother; and it shall come to pass when thou shalt have the dominion, that thou shalt break his yoke from off thy neck.” Genesis 27:40

If you are tired of the yoke of the enemy, you must gain dominion. If you are tired of living a life of servitude, you must gain dominion. The word dominion means sovereignty or control. You need dominion to be in charge and to take what belongs to you. One of the main constituents of dominion is power. Power changes hands the moment a man gains dominion. Jesus told His disciples that they needed power. The only language the enemy understands is power; he does not understand begging.

“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.” Genesis 1:26

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7

As a Christian, you have the dominion you need for life and destiny through the word of God and the power of the Holy Ghost. The dominion Adam lost was restored to us through Jesus Christ. You cannot live a life of yoke and servitude unless you are ignorant or unwilling to exercise your dominion.

You are defeating defeats in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: I exercise dominion over the emptiers and the wasters attacking my life, and I subdue them in Jesus' name.

The Necessity of Prevailing

“Now the sons of Reuben the firstborn of Israel, (for he was the firstborn; but forasmuch as he defiled his father's bed, his birthright was given unto the sons of Joseph the son of Israel: and the genealogy is not to be reckoned after the birthright. For Judah prevailed above his brethren, and of him came the chief ruler; but the birthright was Joseph's:)” 1 Chronicles 5:1-2 KJV

You must prevail to receive the promises, enforce your rights, and become who God wants you to be.  As a Christian, your second birth gives you rights and privileges in the kingdom of God. However, what is the importance of a right you have but cannot enjoy? The sceptre belongs to those who prevail, not those who have rights. That is why you must prevail with God and with men if you want to enforce your rights and receive the promises. Reuben was supposed to have the birthright, but he lost it to iniquity, he slept with his father’s wife. Joseph got the birthright, but he could not enforce it, he did not prevail. He had the document but did not have its reality. However, Judah prevailed; he had the reality, although he did not have the document.

I have seen servants upon horses, and princes walking as servants upon the earth.” Ecclesiastes 10:7

“And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.” Genesis 32:28

As a Christian, many things are yours according to the scriptures, but where is the reality in your life? You must prevail with God and with men if you want to enjoy what has been written concerning you. Jacob was blessed years before he entered the reality of the blessing. Until he prevailed, he was living as if he had not been blessed.

May you prevail to experience the blessings of God in your life in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God empower me to prevail with You and with men in Jesus' name.

The Word of a King

“Where the word of a king is, there is power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?” Ecclesiastes 8:4KJV

The Word of God says you are a king, this means your words are not only important, but they are also powerful. Kings know the importance of words and they don’t joke with it. The lives of people and the territory are determined by the words of the King. Kings are in control through their words. You can make things happen and change things around you through the use of your words. The Centurion in Matthew 8 knew that Jesus’ words were not limited by distance and were powerful enough to effect the much-needed changes in the lives of people.

“And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.” Rev 5:10

“The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.” Mathew 8:8

The disciples also in Luke 10:17, witnessed their words bringing changes to the lives of people. Beloved, your words can heal the sick, cast out devils, change situations, and change your life and that of others. This is because you are a king and belong to the family of kings. Two old testament scriptures are important to this revelation. The first is Job 22: 28 which says, “Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.” The other is Isaiah 45:11, “Thus saith the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.”

You are a king equipped with words of power in Jesus' name.

Prayer for today: I take authority over my divine allocation and territory, I subdue all opposing forces and I enforce the plans and the purposes of God in Jesus' name.

The Heart of a King

“And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.” Revelation 5:10 KJV

The Bible calls Christians, kings. However, it is possible to be a “potential” king and still live as a slave on earth. Every real king has access to secrets and has been privileged to have answers to what others consider a mystery. The king’s heart is unsearchable but searches out a matter. If you always turn in another direction when you hit a wall instead of searching out things you may not realize the king in you. You must find out why things are not working the way you expected. You must find out the new things that can make your environment better. You must find out answers to your personal questions and that of others if you really want the honor of a king.

“It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter. The heaven for height, and the earth for depth, and the heart of kings is unsearchable. Take away the dross from the silver, and there shall come forth a vessel for the finer.” Proverbs 25:2-4

“The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.” Deuteronomy 29:29

In the old testaments, kings relied on prophets, magicians, and astrologers to search out things. You remember Joseph interpreting the dreams of Pharaoh when the magicians of Egypt failed. You can also not forget Daniel interpreting the writings for Belshazzar by the spirit of God that dwelled in him. Elisha was telling the kings of Israel the plots of the king of Syria even his discussion in his bedchambers. In this dispensation, we are equipped by the spirit of wisdom and revelation due to the indwelling Holy Spirit in us. You may be in a situation now that needs you to search out a matter, do it! Your honor lies in your discovery. There is no hard ground, there are only ignorant men.

May the king’s heart in you be activated in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: O God empower me to search out matters and make a new discovery in Jesus' name.

The Pastoral blessings

“The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.” Numbers 6:24-26KJV

There is someone that God has placed in your life to be your Pastor. This is the person who is to impart to you both knowledge and the blessings you need to fulfill your destiny and be who God wants you to be. Your Pastor is God’s choice for you, it is not about age, stature, status, or look. If you are connected in the right way with your Pastor you will enjoy divine covering for your life and destiny.

“And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding.” Jeremiah 3:15KJV

“And she said unto her husband, Behold now, I perceive that this is an holy man of God, which passeth by us continually. Let us make a little chamber, I pray thee, on the wall; and let us set for him there a bed, and a table, and a stool, and a candlestick: and it shall be, when he cometh to us, that he shall turn in thither.” 2 kings 4:9-10KJV

It is your responsibility to discern and perceive who God has ordained to pastor you. It is your responsibility to listen to his teaching, instruction, and guidance. It is also your responsibility to be a blessing to him materially while he is responsible to bless you spiritually. The blessing of a spiritual man sent to you can shape your destiny forever (1 Samuel 9:15-16).

May you connect with the Pastor God ordained for your life in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, make Your face shine upon me and be gracious unto me in Jesus' name.

The father’s blessings

“And Isaac answered and said unto Esau, Behold, I have made him thy lord, and all his brethren have I given to him for servants; and with corn and wine have I sustained him: and what shall I do now unto thee, my son?” Genesis 27:37KJV

As a father, your blessings can give your child prosperity and protection. You must bless your children above whatever you do for them. As a child, you must receive the blessings of your father. Isaac said he had made Jacob lord over his brethren and had sustained him with corn and wine. How did he do it? By blessing him. Even God the Father does not put us on any assignment without blessing us. It is important for the blessing to flow as an empowerment to fulfill destiny.

“And Joseph said unto his father, Not so, my father: for this is the firstborn; put thy right hand upon his head. And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations.” Genesis 48:18-19KJV

“And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.” Malachi 4:6 KJV

The old testament people recognized the importance of the blessing and it also mattered which hand was laid on each person. I believe the father’s blessings are also very important in this dispensation. Many are struggling, although they physically have what it takes to succeed, because the father’s blessing is not there. Even if you don’t have a father, find someone who is a father figure to you and do something to make his soul bless you.

You are blessed in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, let the blessing rest on me in Jesus' name.

The Father’s heart

“And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him.” Luke 15:20KJV

As we celebrate Father’s Day today, I want to remind us that God is our Father and His heart is full of love for us. The story of the prodigal son and His father is a perfect description of His heart toward us. God’s heart is full of compassion for us. No matter the case we must not leave our Father’s bosom, where we find true love and acceptance. Our heavenly father is not limited in any way. Even if you don’t have an earthly father or you don’t know your earthly father, He will make sure you don’t live fatherless if you accept His love.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16KJV

“For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth” Prov 3:12

The Father’s heart is full of love. However, this places a responsibility on us, the responsibility to accept His love. Part of this is for us to accept His correction in the light of His love. God delights in you and for that reason, He will correct you to bring the best in you.

May you not leave the umbrella of God’s love for any reason in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, I accept Your love for me, guide and guard me in Your ways in Jesus' name.

The covenant relationship

“Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.” Psalms 50:5KJV

God is loving, and caring and He is not a respecter of persons. However, He is a purposeful God and relates to people based on covenant. You are God’s choice and favorite if you walk in covenant with Him. This takes sacrifice in this rebellious world. God is always committed to His covenant people. If you are in covenant with God, He will be jealous over you. He will claim ownership over you and deal with anything that threatens you. God’s covenant makes you a peculiar treasure unto Him above all other people. If anything is wrong in your relationship with God, you have to look inward. It is your responsibility to hear His voice and obey if you want to walk in covenant with God.

“Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations” Deuteronomy 7:9KJV

“But now hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.” Hebrews 8:6KJV

The new covenant is the better covenant with better promises. Jesus is the mediator of the new covenant. In the new covenant, the law is written in our hearts and so we walk in obedience “naturally.” If as a Christian, you are rebellious towards God, you have to examine yourself. The new covenant puts us as joint heirs with Jesus in the same family as Him. If you walk in the new covenant, you become unshakable in this shaky world.

You are standing firm in the new covenant in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God help me to hear your voice and to walk in the covenant with You in Jesus' name.

Covenant blessings

“And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” Genesis 12:2-3 (KJV)

Your security at all times and in all situations is the covenant blessing. God blessed Adam as empowerment for him to have dominion on earth. Adam lost the blessings and after that, God instituted covenant blessings to deal with the people He chose.  The blessings are for those who are in covenant with God. This is our security, our defense, our protection, and our distinction. Five covenants are mentioned in the bible. The Noahic covenant, the Abrahamic covenant, the Mosaic covenant, the Davidic covenant, and the New Covenant. The New Covenant (including Mosaic and Davidic covenants) finds its root in the Abrahamic Covenant.

“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” Galatians 3:13-14KJV

“Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice.” Psalms 50:5KJV

All covenants started with God’s choice of the person followed by God’s instruction to the person and an expectation of obedience from the person. If you are born again, you are chosen by God.  If you take time to understand God’s covenant and instruction according to the Bible and walk in it, you will be blessed in this world and beyond.

You are blessed in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God help me to walk in the covenant blessings you placed upon my life in Jesus' name.

The unfailing faith

“But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.” Luke 22:32 (KJV)

Your adversity shall turn to advancement in Jesus' name. The unfailing faith will give you the strength to overcome adversity and consequently enable you to strengthen others. The unfailing faith is based on the word of God, it is patient and persistent. God has promised to deliver you in all situations (psalm 34:19, Isaiah 41:10-13, John 16:33). Meditate on His promises until the unfailing faith is built in you and see your victory as you put your faith to work.

“And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? nI tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:7-8 KJV

“That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” Hebrews 6:12KJV

Be diligent in faith. The word of God can never fail so also faith based on His word. God is ever committed to His word. Be patient, but be persistent. Confess the word until you see it. Do the word and do not waiver. Your faith shall be rewarded.

You are coming out of the pit in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Holy Spirit, intercede for me and strengthen my faith in Jesus' name.

The overriding law

“For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.” Romans 8:2 (KJV)

By default, since Adam fell, all human beings are under the law of sin and death. All believers were redeemed from this law at Calvary. We are under a superior law that has overridden the law of sin and death. This law is the law of the Spirit of life. The law of sin and death is the legal power behind sin, sickness, and poverty. The law of the Spirit of life is the legal power behind our redemption. We must put the law to work in our lives to live above sin, sickness, and poverty. The law of the Spirit of life is enforced by the force of faith.

“Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:” Colossians 1:13-14 KJV

“But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:8-9KJV

The same way we were saved from sin is the same way we are saved from sickness and poverty. We heard the gospel, believed the gospel, confessed this gospel, and acted upon the gospel. You activate the force of faith by believing the word of God and acting on it. Put the law of the Spirit of life to work in your life through the active use of the word of God.

You are delivered from sin, sickness, and poverty in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: I enforce the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus on my life and destiny in Jesus' name.

You are chosen

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;” 1 Peter 2:9 (KJV)

If you are born again, then you are called and chosen by God. You cannot be born again without the water (the word) and the spirit. To be called is to receive God’s word and to be chosen is to be anointed by the Holy Spirit. It makes a lot of difference in your approach to life and situation if you are convinced that you are called and chosen by God. Peter said by revelation that you are a peculiar person. Jesus said no one can come to the Father unless He draws him (John 6:44). You cannot go down, no matter what faces you because you have been chosen by God.

“And David said to Saul, Let no man's heart fail because of him; thy servant will go and fight with this Philistine.” 1 Samuel 17:32KJV

“Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.” Acts 3:6 KJV

David was anointed and he knew it. He was bold to tell Saul that he should not worry about Goliath and that he would deal with him.  Peter said to the lame man, I have what you need, get up and walk. If you believe that you are chosen, your language will change. You will not talk as the people of the world talk. You will be bold against every situation that threatens you and the people around you.

You are called and anointed by God in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, let Your glory be revealed through me in Jesus' name.

The Purposeful God

“Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” Revelation 4:11 (KJV)

God does things on purpose. If you align yourself with God’s purpose, you will enjoy His backing. The purpose of God and the will of God are revealed in the scriptures. Study the scriptures to understand God’s purpose for your life and you will be at peace in all situations. God’s responses to our needs and desires are based on His purpose. If you understand God’s perspective of things you will discover that His purpose is established in the love for humanity.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16KJV

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Joshua 1:8 KJV

One of the best secrets of life is to understand how things work so that you are not striving against the wind. The best way to know how things work is to go to the manufacturer Himself. Fortunately, He has given us the manual through which we can understand the principle of life. Joshua was told to meditate on the manual and then he will naturally work in His wisdom. Every Christian should do the same.

May you align yourself with God's purpose for your life in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, give me divine access into the written word in Jesus' name.

What defines you! 4

“Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.” Matthew 9:29 (KJV)

Your faith determines your fate. If you build your faith on the word of God, you will have confidence in yourself and your God. Your faith is simply what you believe, act upon, and declare. You can believe wrongly or correctly. If you believe the word of God you cannot be wrong. The word of God is the truth that sets you free from the bondage and the lie of the devil. The fruit of your life will tell you if you believe wrongly or correctly.

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32KJV

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:2 KJV

You can redefine your life by renewing your mind with the word of God. Purge yourself of the lie of the enemy and fill your mind with the knowledge of God’s word and you will begin to see changes in the fruit of your life. When you have the revelation of yourself through the word of God, then you can have the correct definition of yourself.

You are what the word of God says you are in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, let my life be a reflection of Your Word and Your Spirit in Jesus' name.

What defines you! 3

“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” Proverbs 4:23 (KJV)

The greatest battle you will have to fight is keeping your heart (mind). Guard your heart with all diligence; it is your responsibility.  Your arch-enemy knows this, if you don’t, you are ignorant to your own peril. This is because whatever enters your mind has entered your life. Your mind has three major gates: the eyes, the ears, and the feelings. You cannot listen to just anything or watch anything. Goliath was calling the people of Israel, servants of Saul for forty days, and they believed, so they could not accept his challenge. They believed a lie.

“And he stood and cried unto the armies of Israel, and said unto them, Why are ye come out to set your battle in array? am not I a Philistine, and ye servants to Saul? choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me.” 1 Samuel 17:8KJV

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Philippians 4:8 KJV

You will always have breakthroughs in your mind and in your life, if you continually open your mind to the word of God. When your mind is shaped, your life will be in shape (Joshua 1:8, Psalm 1:1-3, Romans 12:2). The way to bring healing to the wounded heart is by putting in the word of God. May you receive God’s word and be who He wants you to be in Jesus' name.

We destroy the lie of the enemy in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, deliver me from strange words and lies of the devil  in Jesus' name.

What defines you! 2

“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.” Proverbs 23:7 (KJV)

It is not what people think about you that matters, but what you think about yourself.  It is not what people say about you that matters, but what you say about yourself. Every external circumstance can be changed when you deal with complexes within. You are a god, please don't die like a mere man. The greatest help you can do for yourself is to align your thinking with God's thoughts about yourself. You are not defined by what you have or do not have. If what you have is obtained in the right way you are richer than someone who robbed others or commit a crime to get wealth.

“I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.” Psalm 82:6KJV

“And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.” Luke 12:15KJV

Don’t listen to people who want to define you by what you are going through. Stop associating with people who cannot see your future, but are looking down on you because of your present. As a child of God, you are blessed. If you align your thought with God’s word and take action based on the word you will see the physical manifestation of the blessing.

You are defined by God and not your enemy!!.

Prayer for today: Oh God, reveal to me the man within me  in Jesus' name.

What defines you! 1

“And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.” Genesis 3:4-5 (KJV)

Many people have been wounded by emotional attacks and inferiority complexes leading to low self-esteem. As a Christian, you don’t have to experience this negative emotional issue. You must know what defines you and not allow anyone to damage your mind about your person. What defines you is actually either the truth or the lies you have accepted about yourself.  God is the only Person who knows the truth about you that you should believe and accept. Every other man, including satan and your unwanted circumstances, are liar.

“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.:” Genesis 1:26KJV

“God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.” Romans 3:4KJV

You know this was the attack that satan launched against Eve. He gave her the impression that she was less than what God created her to be. In actual fact, God created her like to be like Himself. She was reduced from what she had been because she fell for the emotional/personality attack. He offered her rebellion as a key to obtaining what she was already. You see this is the reason behind rebellion and other evil that people commit against themselves and humanity. If you want to know what defines you, look through the word of God and not what others are calling you.

You are wonderfully and fearfully made!!.

Prayer for today: Oh God, I believe and accept only what Your word says about me in Jesus' name.

You shall rise again

“Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.” Micah 7:8 (KJV)

You can always turn things around and rise again if you listen to God’s voice and obey Him. Dry bones always rise again to become an army when God is involved. Don’t be carried away by whatever challenge you have. Focus on God and you will experience a supernatural intervention. Even if the situation you are in is a result of your mistake, go to God in repentance and He will accept you. Never doubt the fact that God will help you and cause you to rise again.

“Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the Lord. Thus saith the Lord God unto these bones; Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live:” Ezekiel 37:4-5KJV

“And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever.” Exodus 14:13KJV

Stop looking down on yourself because of what you are going through, you have Jesus. What do we do when we are going through things? We must keep on expecting miracles, keep on developing ourselves, keep on praying, keep on studying the word, and keep on declaring the word. Never doubt God’s ability to rescue you in any situation. If you must doubt, doubt your doubt.

Your much-needed help has come in Jesus' name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, lift me up and let me stand by faith in Your promises in Jesus' name.
