Thanksgiving and Prophecy

“And the Lord said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward:" Exodus 14:15

Today is a day of thanksgiving and prophecy. Thanksgiving because it is the end of the year 2022 and all of us are seeing it. Prophecy, because another year is starting in less than 24 hours and we need to take it. This day is similar to the experience of the people of Israel in Exodus 14, they saw the end of Egypt and were being ushered into the land of Canaan. God told Moses to tell them to go forward. I decree that whatever represents Egyptians in your life, you will never see them again. In Jesus' name, you are going forward into the goodness of God in the year 2023.

“O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever.” Psalms 118:1

“Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the Lord, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:” Numbers 14:28

Today is actually the end of the week, the end of the month, and the end of the year. I decree it is the end of your sorrow too. If you believe, prophesy this into your life in the name of Jesus. Give God praise for His mercy that has made you see this day. Prophecy to your dry bones, your life, business, career, ministry, family, and nation. This is surely a day of thanksgiving and prophecy.

You are going forward in every area in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, I thank you for allowing me to see the end of 2022, take me into greatness in the year 2023 in Jesus name.

Salvation: Lord Jesus, I believe in the forgiveness of sin and in the redemption from the power of darkness through your blood. I confess you as my Savior and Lord.  I invite you into my life to save my soul. Holy Spirit, come into my heart and make me what you want me to be. Thank you Lord for saving me in Jesus name.

The spirit of wisdom and revelation

“That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints." Ephesians 1:17-18

There is an inheritance for you, as a saint of God. Your key to this inheritance is the spirit of wisdom and revelation. No Christian can do without the spirit of wisdom and revelation. If a professing Christian does not have the spirit of wisdom and revelation, there will be unnecessary hardship and it will appear as if the promises of God are not true. You must pray until this spirit is operational in your life. It is what makes Christian life attractive. It is your winning edge over the wise and the giant of this world, and the invisible wicked personalities that are against you (Matthew 16:17-19).

“Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:” Colossians 1:12-13

“The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.” Psalms 119:130

There are no poor Christians, but there are ignorant Christians. If your eyes of understanding is enlightened, an end has come to any form of poverty in your life. The Bible is very powerful and has answers to all life's questions, but without the spirit of wisdom and revelation, it will appear as mere letters. The letter kills, but the spirit gives life. The spirit of wisdom and revelation is your key to the mysteries in the Bible.

May your eyes of understanding be enlightened in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, give me the spirit of wisdom and revelation in Jesus name.

End of the year prayer series: Oh Lord, show me your mercy

Conquering the New Year ahead

“I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved." Habakkuk 2:1

If you pray through for the coming New Year, you will conquer it before it arrives. As 2022 is coming to an end, sit down with the word of God and in prayer, seek God for the year 2023 and receive a word from the Lord. You need a word for your destiny from the Lord to run with. You need God’s blessing in your life. You need His wisdom and favor to handle 2023. If all these are in place, you will not have anything to worry about. You will enjoy His presence and have victory over any challenges that may come your way.

“And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.” 1 Chronicles 4:10

“And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me.” Genesis 32:26

Beloved, the best gift that you can take from this year into the new year is the blessing of answered prayer. Jabesh prayed about his destiny, and God heard him. His situation changed immediately. Jacob got the blessing, and he did not have to worry about the attack from Esau forever. This period is not only for fun but for praying through what is ahead.

I decree answers to your prayers in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, visit me before the end of this year, let me hear your voice and have a direction for my life in Jesus name.

God’s purpose is supreme

“Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” Revelation 4:11.

What you called impossible becomes possible when you align with God’s purpose for your life.  The best reason you can give God in any matter is His purpose. Elizabeth, the old barren woman, became pregnant because God needed a forerunner for Jesus. Mary the virgin became pregnant because God needed a vessel through whom the Savior would come to the world. Even Hannah received her Samuel because God needed a prophet. Stop making your request about yourself, align it with God’s purpose and then the impossible shall become possible (Luke 1:37)

“Produce your cause, saith the Lord; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob.” Isaiah 41:21

“And she vowed a vow, and said, O Lord of hosts, if thou wilt indeed look on the affliction of thine handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thine handmaid, but wilt give unto thine handmaid a man child, then I will give him unto the Lord all the days of his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head.” 1 Samuel 1:11

You are asking God to prosper you, He will do it if He finds a kingdom financier in you. If your needs will answer God's needs, they will no longer be a need. God will take care of it. Life outside God’s purpose is stressful, and so is praying outside His purpose. God will always do things for His glory and pleasure.

May you find God’s purpose in every need of your life in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, visit my life for Your glory to be revealed in me in Jesus name.

End of the year prayer series: Oh Lord, turn the counsel Ahithophel into...

The testimony of Elizabeth

“And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.” Luke 1:36.

The testimony of Elizabeth was a faith booster for Mary. Elizabeth had received a similar miracle that Mary had just been informed would happen to her. Mary needed to maintain her faith to walk in and experience that miracle. The Angel mentioned the testimony of Elizabeth to Mary. Mary was a virgin, but Elizabeth was an old woman who had passed menopause. It was impossible physically for a virgin to conceive without a man, just as it was for an old woman who had passed menopause. Nevertheless, Elizabeth was already six months pregnant. This is evidence that all things are possible with God, and if it had happened to one, it would happen to another (Mark 13:37, Romans 2:11).

“That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” Hebrews 6:12

“Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.” 1 Cor 11:1

If you surround yourself with people who have not experienced the kind of miracle you expect, they will hinder your faith. When your Mary has been told that she will get pregnant supernaturally, you need an Elizabeth who was called barren, but had already been pregnant so that you can have faith in the God who does wonders. You need people of faith who will encourage you in your walk with God. You need the testimony of people who are walking with God to also believe God for what He can do in your life.

May you walk in God’s plan for your life in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, connect me with people that will help me to walk in your plans for my life in Jesus name.

Jesus started in a manger

“And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.” Luke 2:7

Jesus started His life in a manger despite the fact that he was the King of kings. It was a small beginning. There was no room in the inn.  However, Jesus did not stay long in the manger because the wise men met them in a house (Matthew 2:11). Don’t be afraid to start small, but don’t stay small forever. Connect to God of increase and enlargement. It does not matter to start small, it is more important not to end small. If the job you are qualified for is not available, accept what is available and work yourself to the top. Don’t be afraid to start the business with what you have. If you are waiting for the condition to be perfect you may not start anything (Ecc 11:4).

“For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the Lord, which run to and fro through the whole earth.” Mark 6:3

“Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.” Job 8:7

Most times, what you have in your hand is enough, but if you neglect it, you may waste your years. As we celebrate the birth of Jesus, do not forget that His first abode was a manger, despite the fact that He was the King of kings. He started in a manger but He did not stay there. Never stay idle, do something with your time and grow out of smallness.

May you get to your destination in the name of Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, open my eyes to see opportunity in my adversity, in Jesus name.

A child is born but a son is given

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6

It takes only nine months for a child to be born, but it takes several years for a son to be given. Never give up on your dream, particularly when it is still within the process of time. When a child is born, he is born fully packaged for what heaven has designed him to be. However, he has to grow to become a Son for the full manifestation of heaven’s design about him. Until a child grows into a son, he looks ordinary. Jesus even came to this world as a child for the purpose to bring salvation to this world. He grew up like a normal child and was recognized as a carpenter. He looked ordinary to his friends and the people He grew up with.  He was not only growing physically, but He was growing in wisdom and in favor until He became a Son to be who God wanted Him to be.

“And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands? Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.” Mark 6:2-3

“Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all” Galatians 4:1

Beloved, the child in you must grow to become a son if you are going to be who God wants you to be. This takes time. All the training, the experience, and the contact with people are supposed to help you grow into becoming a son. Do not be discouraged if you are not there yet. Learn from what you are going through, but do not be tied down by it. As we are celebrating the birth of Christ, be convinced that you have been born for a purpose and as you grow in grace and in knowledge, the purpose of God shall be fulfilled in your life.

May the child in you grow to become a son in the name of Jesus name.

Merry Christmas

Prayer for today: Oh God, make me what you want me to be in Jesus name.

This season is about Jesus

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace." Isaiah 9:6

This season is not just a holiday, it is about Jesus. The fact that some countries changed "Happy Christmas" to "happy holiday" should not distract us from the theme of the season, which is that Jesus is born. The Prince of Peace is born. The Savior of the world is born. The Light of the world is born. For believers in Christ, this is not just a religious celebration, but also a celebration of God’s commitment to His word and His love for the world.

“And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.” Luke 2:10-12

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:116

As a believer, what should you do in a season like this? Make Jesus known to others in every way possible. Speak about Him. Live like Him. Show love by giving to others for His sake, and let the people know that the love of Jesus compels you. Be joyful and cheerful that you have Jesus, and let people know it. Let them also know that the same Jesus is coming back, not as a savior but as a Judge of the world.

Have a joyful season in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, let Jesus be made known to the world through my daily life in Jesus name.

God-kind of results

“Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man? And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.” Luke 1:34-35

Another lesson that I have learned from the scriptures about the birth of Jesus is that when you engage the Holy Ghost, you obtain God-kind of results. What God wants to do through you is beyond your natural ability and strength. You will need the Holy Ghost to make it happen. Mary would not have been able to bring forth the Son of God without the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost makes the impossible possible.

“Until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field be counted for a forest.” Isaiah 32:15

“And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.” John1:46

Maybe people have tagged you weak and dry, turn to the Holy Ghost. If everything seems to be failing around you, turn to the Holy Ghost. He will turn your wilderness to be a fruitful field, and also turn your fruitful field into a forest. He will give you the wisdom, favor, and power you need to get supernatural results. The Holy Ghost has been sent to help you, engage Him for God-kind of results in your life.

The impossible shall become possible in your life in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Holy Ghost, help me to be fruitful and profitable in every area of my life in Jesus name.

God has an agenda for you

“And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus.” Luke 1:30-31

One of the lessons that I have learned from the scriptures about the birth of Jesus is that in every season, God has an agenda for His children. Yes, God has an agenda for you. Your past does not matter. Your failures do not matter. What people are saying about you does not matter. What really matters is for you to accept God’s agenda for your life. His agenda is good and profitable for your life. His agenda is His favor towards you. You must ask Him to reveal to you His agenda for your life.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:11-13

“And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.” John1:46

The key to a glorious destiny is to discover God’s agenda for you, accept it, and pursue it with all your strength. This was what Mary did and we are still talking about her today.  Even Nazareth, a despised city, became a renowned city because it fit into God’s agenda. You will have to drop your own agenda and accept the agenda of God for your life if you desire a glorious destiny.

May you be favored to fit into God’s agenda in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God reveal to me your agenda for my life in Jesus name.

Be blessed

“And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” Genesis 1:28

The blessing is as important as a man’s destiny itself. Without the blessing, destiny cannot be fulfilled. The blessing is the true reason behind results, increase, and dominion. You must have the blessing of God upon your life, and you must believe you carry God’s blessing to fulfill your destiny. The blessing is a word that became flesh to help you succeed. The blessing of God is attracted by believing God and walking in obedience to Him.

“Let Reuben live, and not die; and let not his men be few.” Deuteronomy 33:6

“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” Galatians 3:13-14

Jesus came to connect you to the blessing of Abraham. Your redemption sets you up for the blessing. The blessing has the power to swallow curses, death, and failures. The blessing makes a man’s weakness hidden and his strength visible. The blessing opens a man’s life to grace, mercy, and favor. When a man is desperate for a change, the blessing has the power to bring the change (Genesis 32:26-28).

Be blessed in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God bless me indeed and enlarge my territory in Jesus name.

The right time is now

“For God says, “At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.” Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation.” 2 Corinthians 6:2(NLT)

Now is the right time, and the right time is now. God is hearing you now. God is helping you now. God is favoring you now. Now is the right time to believe God and expect a miracle. If you are going to change your life and experience the favor of God, the right time is now. If you are going to complete a mountain-like project, you must do something about it now. What you do now affects everything about your life. Take a step now towards your goal if you want to achieve it. Your deliverance is now. Your salvation is now. Your breakthrough is now.

“NOW faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Hebrews 11:1

“You have heard these things; look at them all. Will you not admit them? “From now on I will tell you of new things, of hidden things unknown to you. They are created NOW, and not long ago; you have not heard of them before today. So you cannot say, Yes, I knew of them.’ ” Isaiah 48:6-7

The power of faith is in the now. If you have received important information, you must use it now. If you are going to create something new, the right time is now. Beloved, now is another chance that God has given you to change your life. Pray that prayer now. Read that book now. Take that action now. The right time to bring your expectations into manifestation is now.

May God visit you NOW in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God arise and change my life NOW in Jesus name.

Your faith is your fate

“Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.” Matthew 9:29

If your faith changes, your fate will also change. Faith is both positive and negative, although when it is negative, it has different names. When you doubt the negative, positive faith is in place. When faith is negative, it is called doubt, unbelief, and fear. Your faith is about your thoughts, declarations, and actions. You can never sink in life if your thoughts align with God’s word. If you take charge of your faith, you can determine and control your fate. You do this by taking charge of what you hear, think about, and declare.

“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.” Proverb 23:7

“But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.” Matthew 15:18

What people say cannot affect you until you take it in and use your mouth to declare it. If you take care of your insides, your outsides will be alright. Spend time with God’s word and with people of faith to increase your faith. Mind what you watch, listen to, and read because they are the real determinants of your faith and consequently your fate.

I see your story changing in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, increase my faith in Jesus name.

That I may see

“And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.” Mark 10:51

I believe that our breakthrough begins with seeing what we have not seen before. This kind of sight is beyond physical sight. This is because opportunities can only be seen with spiritual eyes and the eyes of the mind. What you see is what you can possess. If you desire a change of level or better years ahead, you must see new and better things.

“And the Lord said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward: For all the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed for ever.” Genesis 13:14-15

“The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,” Ephesians 1:18

What should do if you desire to see? You must turn to the Lord, so that the veil should be taken away (2 Cor 3:16). Ask Him to open your eyes as Bartimeus did. Meditate on the scriptures and expect the light to come to you. Read books to provoke your mind and gain insight for a breakthrough.

May you see new and greater things in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, open my eyes that I may see in Jesus name.

Reaching forth

“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,” Philippians 3:13

The direction of your energy is the direction of your reaching, stop wasting your energy on your past, and reach forth to your glorious future. As a child of God, what lies ahead of you is more glorious than what is behind you. Don’t hold on to your past, whether good or bad, God has a new and better thing for you. The past is always going to be the way it was, stop trying to change it. A man of God said, "Don’t lament what you cannot amend."

“Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”

“But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.” Proverbs 4:18

The enemy of the glorious future is the past, whether good or bad. The success of yesterday is gone, as is the failure of yesterday. Let your past successes motivate you to reach forth to new ones. Learn from your past failures and reach forth into the new thing God wants to do in your life.

God will do a new thing in your life in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I receive the power of God to reach forth into my glorious future in Jesus name.

End of the year prayer series: There is a lifting up for me

Let God make you

“The Jews then murmured at him, because he said, I am the bread which came down from heaven. And they said, Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? how is it then that he saith, I came down from heaven?.” John 6:41-42

Jesus, as the Son of man, revealed to us the result when God makes a man. You can boldly declare that you came down from heaven if you allow God to make you. In any case, the result in your life will show that God has made you. I believe that when we experience failure for a season, it is God calling our attention to the burning bush. The people could not understand when Jesus declared that He was from heaven. They did not know about His baptism at Jordan, the voice from heaven, and the Holy Spirit upon Him. They were still looking at Him as the son of Joseph and Mary when He had “become” the Son of God.

“And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?” Mark 6:3

“And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”  Matthew 4:19.

Three things are likely to happen to you if you allow God to make you. He will give you wisdom, and you will know clearly what you should do. He will give you power, and you will have spiritual authority. He will give you favor, and you will begin to experience unconditional and unusual help from men. You must stay in God’s presence until He makes you, then your life will be a marvel to many.

May you have an encounter with God in Jesus name.

End of the year prayer series: I am surrounded with favour.

Let there be light

“And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.” Genesis 1:2-3

Light is the answer to darkness, disorder, stagnancy, failure, and frustration. Thick darkness needs thick light to overcome it, not a tiny light. However, there is a light that darkness cannot comprehend. This light is the revealed Word of God, the Word became flesh. The entrance of this Word gives light that cannot be resisted by any darkness. This is the light you require to shine (Isaiah 60:1).

“And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.” John 1:5

“The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.”  Psalms 119:130.

The light that the revealed word brings gives understanding, which is the key to converting knowledge into wisdom. We need the wisdom of God to turn things around in our lives. Everyone needs this light as we end the year 2022 and prepare for the new year 2023. No unwanted situation should persist in our lives. The answer is found in the fresh light from heaven. This is the time to ask the Lord to send the light.

Let there be light in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, send me Your light for this season in Jesus name.

End of the year prayer series: The power that works in you.

End of the year prayer series: This altar must not stand.

End of the year prayer series: Don't wait an extra day please.

Intimacy with God 4

“And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the Lord God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.” 1 Kings 17:1

Intimacy with God is the answer to the fireless, visionless, and religious Christianity people are practicing today. If Christians are intimate with God, the subject of sin, power, obedience, dedication, and commitment will not be an issue. Only Christians who don’t have an alternative to God can enter into intimacy with Him. Only Christians who are intimate with God cannot be corrupted and will not bow to the gods of this world.

“Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.” Daniel 3:16-18

“And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.”  Daniel 11:31.

You are still being pulled to attend church, and you always have reasons not to fellowship with other Christians. You have no time to pray and to study the Word of God. You think material things can take the place of spiritual things. If one of these applies to you, you are a “sorry Christian” case. You must quickly go before God and seek a new touch. You must hunger and thirst for an intimate relationship with God.

May you have a definite encounter with God in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, let your power be at work in me and let Christ be formed in me in Jesus name.

Intimacy with God 3

“And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.” John 10:4-5

The voice of the Lord is easily recognized by those who are in intimacy with Him. A Christian who knows the voice of the Lord cannot be influenced by the voice of satan or the world's systems. The voice of strangers is clearly against the law of God. The voice of a stranger brings confusion and leads people away from God. The voice you are hearing determines the sound you will make. The voice of the Lord is what will differentiate you from the people of the world.

“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.” Acts 4:13

“Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.”  Matthew 22:29.

One of the indications that you need to get back to God is confusing voices that lead to errors. Intimacy with God is the answer to confusion in life and destiny. The results of your life are clear indications of the voice you are hearing. If you get into intimacy with God, you will hear His voice and the evidence will show in your life. Stop following the crowd and get into intimacy with God for an impactful life and destiny.

May you hear the voice of the Lord in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, take me into Your secret place in Jesus name.

Intimacy with God 2

“Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.” James 4:4

God is jealous over you and desires an intimate relationship with you, if you are His child.  God sees your intimacy with the world as an act of adultery toward Him. Note that He is not talking here about people, but about systems of this world. You cannot be intimate with God and the world at the same time. How can you claim to be a child of God and yet you are an enemy of God. We miss the best of God when we are intimate with the world.

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.” James 4:8-9

“He that cometh from above is above all: he that is of the earth is earthly, and speaketh of the earth: he that cometh from heaven is above all.”  John 3:31.

You cannot do things that are contrary to God and His word because the world accepts them. This is what God calls, adultery, it is an intimacy with the world. Some of the warfare prayers you are praying will not be necessary if you are in an intimate relationship with God (2 Cor 6:14-18,10:3-6, Prov 16:7, James 4:8-9). He who comes from above is above all. You are like an eagle, you should not be romancing the chickens. Your intimacy with God will give you access to the wisdom and peace the world can never know.

May the secrets of God dwell in your bosom in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, I surrender my life to you, deal with whatever is preventing my intimacy with You in Jesus name.

Intimacy with God 1

“And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” Daniel 11:32

To be intimate with God is to know Him and to walk in a covenant relationship with Him.  God has revealed Himself to us through Jesus Christ His son; the Word became flesh. God has also revealed His covenant through the written word, the Bible. You cannot claim to know God without knowing Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit.

“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;” Hebrews 1:1-2

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.”  John 1:1-3

Why should you be in an intimate relationship with God? The first reason is that the gift of eternal life is for only those who are intimate with God (John 17:3, John 3:16-18). The second reason is that the presence and the power of God are with those who are in an intimate relationship with Him (Genesis 39:2-5, Act 4:13). The third reason is that an intimate relationship with God will qualify you before God and men (Genesis 32:28, Daniel 5:11-12). These three are the answers to the questions of the temporal and eternal destinies of men. This is where the questions of sin, sickness, and dominion are answered.

May you know God as a Person in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, take me into Your secret place in Jesus name.

Maintain a joyful heart

“Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.” Philippians 4:4

A joyful heart attracts good things. Joy is a force that causes a change in a situation and brings results. The joy of the Lord is your strength. Never allow the devil or any situation to steal your joy. If your joy is intact, you can turn any situation around. You draw water out of the well of salvation through joy. When joy is withered away from the sons of men, harvest also is withered. Harvest comes after joy.

“The vine is dried up, and the fig tree languisheth; the pomegranate tree, the palm tree also, and the apple tree, even all the trees of the field, are withered: because joy is withered away from the sons of men.” Joel 1:12

“Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.”  Isaiah 12:3

One way to keep your joy is to keep your trust in the Lord and in the fact that all things are working together for your good because the Lord is with you. People read about Joseph’s dreams and his gifts to interpret dreams. However, it was the joy in his heart that brought him close to the Cupbearer, who later spoke to Pharaoh about him.

May the joy of the Lord fill your heart in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, fill my heart with Your joy and give me a bountiful harvest in the remaining days this year in Jesus name.

Help from above 5

“But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance.” John 14:26 ESV

The help from above has become the help from within through the Person of the Holy Spirit in the life of every believer. A challenge ceases to be a challenge if you know what to do (wisdom) or have the power to conquer it (power). The Holy Spirit is the source of wisdom and power for every New Testament believer.  The help you need is not far from you, the help is within you. If you can be sensitive to the voice of the Holy Spirit and carry His anointing upon your life, you cannot be taken unawares or defeated by any situation.

“But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.” Romans 8:9

“Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.”  Romans 15:13

Beloved, please prioritize your relationship with the Holy Spirit, you cannot make it without Him. Treat Him as a person, not a thing. He is not “tongues,” He is a person. If you walk with Him, you walk in the present help. He will teach you and reveal things to you. He will lead you and empower you. Nothing can beat a Christian who has a strong relationship with the Holy Spirit.

May you be in tune with the Holy Spirit in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Holy Spirit, help me, teach me, guide me, direct me, and empower me in Jesus name.

Help from above 4

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” Matthew 7:7-8

Asking for or bringing your request for help to God is a sure way to receive help from above. Jesus stated that everyone who asks, receives. This is exciting because the help we need is just a "asking" away. Moreover, as New Testament believers, we have the name of Jesus. When we ask in the name of Jesus, we are guaranteed answers. Asking is a sign of humility, trust, hope, and dependence on God. When you ask, do not doubt, but ask in faith.

“And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.” John 16:23-24

“Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”  Mark 11:24

It is the will of God for you to receive help from above for your life and destiny, and more importantly, for the vision that God has given you. God is able to do more than our "asking,” yet He expects us to ask. Perhaps what you need right now is help from above, ask and you will receive it.

Your prayers are answered in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, help me in Jesus name.

Help from above 3

“He hath given meat unto them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of his covenant.” Psalms 111:5

God will always help a man because of His covenant. A covenant-based agreement commits the stronger party to the weaker party (1 Samuel 11:1-9). Now, if you are in a covenant relationship with God, He is committed to helping you. Israel has been helped by God in the Bible days and in our contemporary days because of the Abrahamic covenant. Today we are in a better covenant with God based on better promises through the blood of Jesus. This covenant allows us to call God our Father. This implies that help from above is our right.

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” Isaiah 41:10

“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16

You can come boldly to the throne of grace and obtain the help that you need at any time because of the new covenant. You only need to keep the covenant active through fellowship with the Holy Spirit, meditation on the word of God, and obedience to God’s instructions.

May you receive timely help from above in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, remember Your covenant and help me in Jesus name.

Help from above 2

“(For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;).” Romans 9:11

God will always help a man who is relevant to His plans and purposes. This does not depend on whether the person has done any good or evil. There are two ways to do this. If you find God’s purpose and fit yourself into it, you will always receive help from above. If God finds you fit for what He plans to do, you will receive supernatural help. Jacob was helped by God so that the purpose of God according to election might stand. Although Cyrus was a gentile, God helped him because he fit into God’s deliverance plans for Israel.

“Thus saith the Lord to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;” Isaiah 45:1

“And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus.” Luke 1:30-31

If you are tired of a dry life, you must find God’s plan and purpose for your life and put yourself right into it. Then you will never have to worry about receiving help from above. What you are looking for will start looking for you. This is the meaning of Matthew 6:33, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

May you be a fit for God’s purpose on earth in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, help me to find Your purpose for my life and to walk in it in Jesus name.

Help from above 1

“I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.” Psalms 121:1-2

Help from above is timely help. Help from above is a turnaround help. Help from above is marvelous help. Help from above is divine help. Help from above is help from the Lord. If you receive help from above, you cannot be defeated, generational limitations and embargoes are lifted, and you become great and successful.

“Happy is he that hath the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the Lord his God:” Psalms 146:5

“And as Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel: but the Lord thundered with a great thunder on that day upon the Philistines, and discomfited them; and they were smitten before Israel.” 1 Samuel 7:12

You are really sorted in life if the Lord is helping you. I have identified four reasons why a man will receive help from the Lord. If you align yourself with any of these reasons, you will always receive help from above. These are His purpose, His covenant, man’s request or asking, and man’s response to the Holy Spirit. I will be sharing these in subsequent messages in the next few days.

May you be helped by the Lord in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, arise, and help me in Jesus name.

You can turn things around 3

“Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

The final point I want to share with you is that you should seek God’s help. If you acknowledge and seek God, He will turn your situation around. People that God helps are guaranteed a total turnaround. God has promised to help you, but you need faith and patience to secure His help. You must continually spend time in prayer and in His word.

“If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.” Job 14:14

God will grant you favor, open doors for you, send men to help you, and lead you into your turnaround if you wait on Him. I believe that someone reading this message will experience a major turnaround before the end of this year. All you need is consistent fellowship with Him until you receive the help you need. Deliberate sin and disobedience will hinder you, please deal with them (Isaiah 59:1-2).

May you have breakthrough this week in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, arise, help me, and turn things around for my good in Jesus name.

You can turn things around 2

“The labour of the foolish wearieth every one of them, because he knoweth not how to go to the city.” Ecc 10:15

Yesterday, the need to have specific goals to turn things around was established. The next thing is to establish a strategy to achieve the goals. If you don’t know, you can find out. You can read about it, do research on it, or find someone who can help you know. Adequate knowledge of what you should do to accomplish your goals will help you achieve them and turn things around.

“And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature. And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.” Luke 19:2-3

“And when David enquired of the Lord, he said, Thou shalt not go up; but fetch a compass behind them, and come upon them over against the mulberry trees.” 2 Samuel 5:23

Despite Zacchaeus' limitations and the fact that a crowd was around Jesus, he strategized and successfully accomplished his goal to see Jesus. He climbed a sycamore tree. David never lost any battle because he would always ask God what to do to win the battles. You can turn things around if you know how to accomplish your goals.

May you know what to do to accomplish your goals in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God arise and show me what to do to turn things around in Jesus name.

You can turn things around 1

“And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.” Mark 10:51

No matter your situation right now, you can turn it around. The first thing to do to turn things around is to have specific goals. What do you really want? If you have not made up your mind about what you really want, failure is inevitable. God's words say a doubter is not qualified to receive, and a man who does not know what he is looking for will be a wanderer on the earth.

“But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” James 1:6-8

“And a certain man found him, and, behold, he was wandering in the field: and the man asked him, saying, What seekest thou?” Genesis 37:15

Why would Jesus ask a blind man what he wanted? Perhaps he wanted to be helped with some money! What you don’t desire, you aren’t actually qualified to receive. You must sit down, think, and make up your mind on what you want to pursue with your time, energy, and strength. You can also ask God to reveal to you what He wants you to do with your life.

May you know what you really want in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, help me to pursue a definite change in my life, in Jesus name.

Divine expectations of us

“Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.” Matthew 22:37-39

Does God have some expectations from us? Yes, He does.  Basically, He expects us to walk in love toward Him and our neighbors. Our love for Him involves obedience, worship, faith in Him, and walking in His will. Our love for our neighbors requires that we do no harm to them; we should do to them what we expect others to do to us. The expectation of God is not grievous, but the way of the transgressor is hard. I believe if we are consecrated to Him, He will work through us for us to meet His expectations.

“For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.” 1 John 5:3

“Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard.” Proverbs 13:15

My counsel to all believers in Christ is that we should take responsibility for our walk and relationship with God. God relates with us through His word. If we understand His word, we will walk in His wisdom and obtain His favor.  He relates with us as individuals. He is not a respecter of persons and what He says to one, He says to all. You can move God with sacrifice, worship, praise, faith, love, and obedience.

May God be pleased with you in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, sanctify me and make me Your sanctuary and dominion in Jesus name.

Divine qualification

“But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7

Divine qualification is a prerequisite to the fullness of God. God qualifies men based on their hearts. Specifically, God is looking for a humble heart and an obedient heart. Beloved, whether human beings certify you or not, please make sure God qualifies you. Divine qualification is what makes God pour Himself into you. If God qualifies you, your weaknesses and limitations will not matter anymore, you will be the best person God wants you to be.

“And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:” Philippians 2:8-9

“Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.” John 15:14

David was not certified by his father, but he was qualified by God. God anointed him, and he became the light of Israel. Even Saul, the first king of Israel, was made king because of his humble heart, but he became proud and disobedient and lost the throne (1 Samuel 15:17-23). Humility and obedience work together and, if found in your heart, will make your heart right with God.

May your heart be right with God in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, break me and mold me, fill me and use me in Jesus name.

Divine authority

“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” Mark 16:17-18

Divine authority is the power delegated to believers. It is the authority of the believers. This is what gives us dominion over the power of darkness and its work. Technically speaking, only the believers in Christ can stop satan and his agents in this dark world. We have the authority to do so, backed up by the Word of God, the power of the Holy Ghost, and the name of Jesus.

“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Luke 10:19

“Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.” Job 22:28

This authority is exercised by speaking. We decree in the name of Jesus, and we see results. This authority is also backed up by the spirit of faith, so when we speak, we do not doubt. The degree of our authority is enhanced by the time we spend with Jesus and our obedience to His will (Acts 4:13, John 15:7, 2 Tim 1;7, Matthew 8:8-10). As a believer, you should not keep quiet but speak out boldly against the work of darkness and expect results.

You have authority over serpents and scorpions in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I take authority over the work of satan and his demons, and I terminate their activities in Jesus name.
