Keep Your Eyes on Jesus

"We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, on whom our faith depends from start to finish..." Hebrews 12:2a (New Living)

Sometimes we face challenges which look like 'wind' in our lives despite the fact that we have heard God and are sure of His miracle working power. At that time what we need to do is to keep our eyes on Jesus and treat the 'wind' as a distraction whose aim is to create doubt in our hearts about what God has said. Devil knows that a man cannot sink until he doubts God.

In Mathew 14:25-31, we read the account of Peter who walked on water because Jesus told him to do it. But when the wind came, he was distracted; he looked at the wind, doubted the word and began to sink. Beloved, keep your eyes on Jesus, he can take care of the wind.

In another account in Mark 4:36-39, Jesus was in the boat with the disciples when the wind came. They were afraid but cried to Him. He rebuked the wind and that was the end of it. Jesus will do the same for you as long as He is in the boat of your life. So, beloved, don't be distracted, keep your eyes on Jesus, He will take you there. When you keep your eyes on Him, it means you stand upon His word.

You will realize your dreams. You will not sink in Jesus name.

Last but best!

“….but thou hast kept the good wine until now.” John 2:10

I welcome you to your best month in the year 2010.

Let me share with you certain keys that will ensure that this is your best month this year.

1. Be thankful. God dwells in an atmosphere of gratitude and you need His presence to give you the best. Psalm 100.
2. Be faithful. Unbelief and unfaithfulness keep God away. You must believe God’s promises and act on His instructions. Hebrew 11:6; 1Cor. 4:2
3. Be watchful. Don’t allow the devil to play end of the year trick on you. Be alert to identify opportunities God is giving you. Be discerning. Mark 13:33
4. Be expectant. Expect miracle daily but not magic or fraud. Expectation gives birth to manifestation. Act 3:5
5. Be violent with the devil. Don’t permit the devil to postpone the blessing meant for you this year to another time. You must take all that God assigned to you this year. Mark 11:12.

I decree that this month shall be your best month this year 2010 in Jesus name.

Making Quality Decisions

"And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free." John 8:32(New Living)

Decisions are made everyday. You are where you are today because of decisions you made yesterday. So,your decision is an important determinant of where you will be tomorrow. Quality decisions in any area of your life will ensure quality life. Now, decision is made based on the information available to you. The more you know the truth, the better your decisions.

One important characteristic of Truth is that it is constant with time. Truth does not change. That is why quality decisions are based on truth. Quality decisions about life are based on God and His Word because they don't change (Malachi 3:6). You cannot make quality decisions based on such things as pressure from any side, temporary situations, or data that can change.

Beloved, what is God saying about what you just want to do? Is that decision based on pressure from any quarters? Pressure will fizzle out, hard times will pass away, financial situation can change, beauty can go, only the word of God remain constant. You should not be like Esau who made a major decision(birthright issue) based on a temporary situation (hunger) in Genesis 26:27-34.

I ask God to order your steps. You will not take a wrong step in Jesus name.

The Solution Is Close To You

"Salvation that comes from trusting Christ-which is the message we preach- is already within easy reach. In fact, the scriptures say, 'The message is close at hand; it is on your lips and in your heart" Romans10:8 (New Living)

God has deposited in and around you what you need to overcome the challenges of life. One of these is the word in your mouth that can be used either in prayer or in consistent confession of the word of God. Another is your gift which you must develop and put to use. There are many other things and events around you which can start your miracles.

For Hagar and her dying son in the desert, it was a water well very close to her that God opened her eyes to see. (Gen. 21:19). For Moses and the Children of Israel at the red sea, it was the rod in the hand of Moses (Ex. 14:16). For the widow of the prophet who owed so much that creditors were going to seize her two sons, it was the little oil that was in her house. (2Kings 4:2). And for Timothy a youth pastoring the large church of Ephesus, It was his gift (2Tim. 1:6). So beloved, don't look too far, the solution is close by. It is in you and around you.

I ask God to open your eyes to what you have. Let His mighty hands see you through every challenge in life.

Little is much if…….

“One of his disciples, Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother, saith unto him, There is a lad here, which hath five barley loaves, and two small fishes: but what are they among so many?” John 6:8-9

Little is much if you make use of it!

Jesus needed to feed five thousand men excluding women and children. Andrew told him of little bread and fishes that was available though he thought it was too little to feed the people. However, Jesus made a wise use of the little and fed the people.

When you have little, it is an indication that you have potential for much. Many little steps towards a goal get the goal accomplished. Never despise what you call little because in our story it got the job done. Remember also that it was a little oil that delivered a widow from poverty in 2Kings 4.

Beloved, the little you have can get you there if you make a wise use of it.

Succeeding in Your God given Vision

“And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper” psalm 1:3

As a child of God, success and prosperity is your portion. Particularly when you are engaged in a God given vision, you must as a matter of fact succeed. Let me share with you three things you need to succeed in your God given vision.
1.Seek adequate knowledge of the vision: Seek adequate knowledge of the vision that God has given you and take knowledge based actions on the vision. Most genuine vision loses out when there is no adequate knowledge. Hosea 4:6 says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge….”
2.Work wholeheartedly on the vision: when you work on your God given vision with your whole heart, failure will be a stranger to you. But when you are not totally committed, failure is inevitable. 1kings 20:40 says, “And as thy servant was busy here and there, he was gone…..”
3.Pray through on the vision: pray through on the vision to frustrate satanic attacks and limitations which may hinder success despite total commitment. 1Thess 5:17 says, “Pray without ceasing”

I decree all round success and prosperity in all your good work in Jesus name.

Curse the curse

“…and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgement, thou shalt condemn…” Isaiah 54:17.

Curse is a judgement of the tongue and it is issued to afflict a person and makes him or her perform below his or her divine destiny (Numbers 22:6). It is a weapon in the hand of the enemy to cause sickness, debt, financial hardship, bareness, unfruitfulness, failure and premature death in the live of his victims.

Beloved, hear the word of the Lord, you are empowered to curse and condemn every curse working against you in the name of Jesus.

Goliath cursed David in the name of his god but David quickly responded in the name of the Living God, and consequently he defeated Goliath (1Samuel 17:43-47). Jesus cursed the fruitless fig tree and it withered within a short time. I am instructing you in the name of the Lord to curse whatever that wants to disgrace your life.

I curse the curse working against you in the name of Jesus. Begin to enjoy your divine destiny in Jesus name.

Have a wonderful day.

Even when it looks good……

“And the men took of their victuals and asked not counsel at the mouth of the LORD” Joshua 9:14.

Beloved, even when it looks good, make sure it is God!

The Gibeonites came with deceit to Joshua and the Israelites in Joshua 9. Joshua and his men listened to them and checked for physical evidences to proof what the Gibeonites said. Everything looked good and so they did not check with God. As a result they were deceived into making a covenant with the Gibeonites and later found that they were their neighbors.

Sometimes ago, a group of friends came to me with what they called a profitable business idea. Everything looked good about the business but when I asked God, He told me it would not be profitable. When I told them, they did not believe me. They went ahead and lost their money.

When making decisions, particularly major life decisions like career, ministry, marriage, business, location, companion; even if it looks good, seek also the counsel of God to be sure it is God.

Your day is blessed.

Conquering the second half

“But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.” Proverbs 4:18

I welcome you into the second half of year 2010. I decree that this second half will be better for you than the first half. God wants me to deliver to you two important keys to conquer this second half of the year. They were keys that Joshua used to conquer AI in Joshua chapter 7 to chapter 8.

Key 1: Eliminate error in decision making. Joshua eliminated Achan to conquer AI. The way to eliminating error in decision making is to possess knowledge (Mathew 22:29). You must have knowledge of God’s word and His power; and also specific knowledge in your area of specialization.

Key 2: Strategize: Joshua conquered AI by strategizing after eliminating Achan. Every goal can be achieved if you know what to do and you do it. Luke 19:3-5.

Have a wonderful week.

Solving Difficult Problems (3)

“And when Peter was come to himself, he said, Now I know of a surety , that the Lord hath sent his angel, and hath delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and from all the expectation of the people of the Jews” Act 12:1

When a problem is as a result of confrontation between you and a personality stronger than you, you need divine intervention. Psalm 18:17.
Peter was arrested and kept in prison by Herod with the intention of killing him. But the church prayed for him without ceasing and he got delivered by divine intervention. Many stories of divine intervention are found in the Bible which include Daniel escape from the Lion den (Daniel 6); Zadrach, Meshack and Abednego in the furnace and victory of Jehoshapahat in 2Chroniclces 20. In each case divine intervention was the solution to the problem.
Let me share with you 6 ways to secure divine intervention:
1.Absolute obedience to God. Deut. 28:7
2.Acting on God’s word. Heb. 11:6.
3.Prayer and fasting. Mathew 17:21.
4.Prayer of agreement. Mathew 18:19
5.Praise and worship. 2Chronicle 20:21-22
6.Dangerous offering. Genesis 22:16.
I am in agreement with you to receive divine intervention in whatever situation that is proving difficult for you in Jesus name.

Solving Difficult Problems (2)

“But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.” Exodus 14:16.

Some problems are beyond strategic thinking and need to be solved by revelation knowledge. Revelation knowledge is beyond the five senses and I call it the sixth sense. This is God revealing to you what to do to solve a difficult problem.

At the red sea, Moses and the Israelites found themselves in a difficult situation. The red sea was ahead of them while the enemies were behind them. By Man’s reasoning, there is practically no way out. But God revealed to Moses what he should do to overcome the situation. I pray that God will reveal to you what to do in that difficult situation in Jesus name. Moses did what God told him and he got the red sea divided! The Bible is full of stories of people who got through their difficult problems by receiving a revelation from God. You too will have revelations in Jesus name.

Beloved, ask God for what you should do, the solution is just a “asking” away.

All things are possible.

Solving Difficult Problems(1)

“If we say, We will enter into the city, then the famine is in the city, and we shall die there: and if we sit still here, we die also. Now therefore come, and let us fall unto the host of the Syrians: If they save us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall but die.” 2kings 7:4.

Whenever you are challenged by a situation, you have solution options. But you have to sit down, think strategically to see the options and evaluate them. Beloved, there is miracle in strategic thinking.

The four Lepers at the entering in of the gate of Samaria in 2kings 7 sat down and thought strategically; they discovered three options:
1.If they stayed where they were, they would die. (0% chance)
2.If they went back to the city, they would die. (0% chance)
3.If they went into the camp of Syrian, they might live. (50% chance)
They chose the option with the better chance above others and had a breakthrough!!

Beloved, you will get through, if only you can think through.

All things are possible.

Handling Threats

“but THAT IT SPREAD NO FURTHER among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name” Acts 4:17 (emphasis mine)

Your progress is an offense to oppositions. Whenever you see or receive a threat from the enemy, it is time to act in boldness. Beyond every threat is the opportunity to get better results so if you give in to threat you miss greatly.

Peter and John healed a lame man and the enemy could not contest that it was a notable miracle. They could say nothing against it nor could they deny it. But they decided to threaten them so that they could prevent them from further good work. The disciples responded with boldness and decided to forge ahead in obedience to God.

Beloved, don’t surrender your good work to threat; persistence will always weary resistance, so go forward.

Power of Instruction

“Then said he unto them, Therefore every scribe which is instructed unto the kingdom of heaven is like unto a man that is an householder, which bringeth forth out of his treasure things new and old” Mathew 15:52

Mediocrity is an evidence of lack of instruction. A man instructed in a thing will have a mastery of that thing. A man instructed unto the kingdom of heaven will have a mastery of this life. Circumstances are the rulers of the weak but instrument of the wise; when you are instructed, you use your circumstances to achieve your goal.

When you are instructed, there is no knot too difficult to untie. You will have answers to both old and new problems. You will be holder of treasures and be a blessing to many. Excellence is a product of instruction. When you lack excellence in any area of your life, seek instruction in that area.

No more life’s beating!

“And that servant, which knew his lord’s will, and prepared not himself, neither did according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes, But he that knew not, and did commit things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few stripes….” Luke 12:47-48

Whether with many or few stripes, I don’t want any life’s beating. I believe you don’t either.

Although there are challenges in life, you don’t have to be beaten. God wants me to reveal to you the divine covering zone, a place of safety and that is right at the center of His will.

Our text revealed that people that get beaten in life are either ignorant of His will or are disobedient to His will. The latter gets many stripes. Our labor should be directed to knowing His will for every situation and doing it. If you do this I can assure you, you can’t get beaten by life’s challenges.

As we enter into the second quarter of 2010, I pray for grace for you to stay in the center of His will for your life.

The Secret of better future

“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Gal. 6:9

Your future is the harvest of seeds sown today. If you want a better future, keep on sowing good seeds and keep the tares away.

Now the first thing you need to establish is the vision of the future you desire and then continue to sow seeds of prayer towards the vision. The harvest of sowing seeds of prayer is supernatural manifestations. Results of prayer are usually more than what the man that prayed can handle.

Secondly you must carefully sow seeds in your thoughts, words and actions that are focused on the future you desire. Whatever is in your life today was in your thought life yesterday, so never fill your thought life with what you don’t want, only think on what you want in life. Mind what you say, words are seeds. Never speak negatively, whatever fill your words will eventually manifest in your life. Work towards your goal, be an “addict tither,” it is the secret of abundance. Someone said 5persons must be blessing you regularly for you to have a better future and I agree with him. They are God, your spouse, your Pastor, your Parents and the poor; give to them.

Lastly keep the tares away. The tares are unbelief, the future you don’t believe you cannot experience; disobedience, a man who walks in disobedience is a foolish man (1Sam 13:13); unforgiveness, if you don’t forgive men, God will not forgive you.

You will experience greatness this year in Jesus name.

Let him do it first!

“And the king said unto her, what aileth thee? And she answered, This woman said unto me, Give thy son, that we may eat him today, and we will eat my son tomorrow. So we boiled my son, and did eat him: and I said unto her the next day, Give thy son, that we may eat: and she hath hid her son” 2Kings 6:28-29.

When someone gives you a risky counsel, ask him to do it first. This will reveal the motive behind the counsel. If the counsel is evil, reject it outrightly no matter the circumstances.

The woman in our text was given an evil, irrevocably risky counsel and she foolishly acted on it because of the pressure of famine. She lost her son 48hours before miracle came to the land. Always remember that when you take a counsel, you also take the consequences. If she had asked the woman to do it first, that would have ended the counsel. This is because the woman gave the counsel for selfish reason.

As you go about your business this week, you will not act wrongly in Jesus name.

Two Kinds of Progress

“And he said unto me, my grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness…..” 2Cor. 12:9

There are two kinds of progress; one is by man’s strength while the other is by the strength of God.

Making progress by one’s strength is like trekking, it is slow, stressful and boring. A man engaged is such progress will soon be tired and come to stagnancy. On the other hand, a man can ride on the wings of God’s grace and enjoy unusual, faster and sweat progress. This is what I desire for you this year.

Now this second kind of progress has levels. There are the “bicycle” and “motor cycle” levels where you enjoy a little grace which makes your progress a little better than trekking. The other levels are “car” and “airplane” levels. At such levels, the Holy Spirit is in complete control and He is allowed to display His full strength to bring progress and results to your life. That is where you belong and should be operating.

The key to operating in such level is humility and faith. You must be willing to trade your weakness for God’s strength and believe Him for the impossible.

I ask God to give you uncommon progress this year in Jesus name.

The Price of Progress

“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God” Heb. 12:2

Progress has a price tag. Getting results has a price tag. Unless the price is paid, the progress desired will only exist in the “wish realm.”

Beloved, when you set your goals, find out what you need to do to accomplish them and do it. This is the price and he who pays the price carries the good. Now there are two general terms for any price anyone will have to pay for his goals. They are “discipline” and “sacrifice.” These would interpret to different action steps depending on individuals and the progress (results) desired. Beloved, are you willing to discipline yourself and sacrifice for you to achieve your desired results this year? Jesus endured the cross to be crowned the Savior of the world. How true the saying, “No cross, No crown!!” If you want it, find out what it cost and pay it!.

Your long term dreams shall be fulfilled this year in Jesus name.

Key of Victory

“Therefore whosoever hereth these sayings of mine and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which builth his house upon a rock” Mathew 7:24

God told me that people have problems when, either they don’t hear Him or they don’t do what He tells them when they hear Him. Whatever you called a “problem” becomes easy if you can hear God and do what He says.

Beloved, God knows you and what you are going through. He knows your past, your present and your future. Above all, He has good plans for you to give you an expected end. You must seek Him for His word on your situation to have victory at all times.

My counsel to you is that you maintain an attitude of praise and worship this year; give personal and corporate fellowship with God a priority, never neglect the study of the word. And always expect a word from the Lord. Now when you have a word from Him, do it.

Remain blessed.
NB: Watchout for my new book titled “The Secret Key of Victory”

What do you see?

“The Lord asked me, “Jeremiah, what do you see?” I answered, “ You are right,” the LORD said, “and I am watching to see that my words come true.” Jeremiah 1:11-12 (Good News Translation)

When you can see what God is seeing concerning you, you take the limit off your life and enjoy God’s backing.

In Genesis 15, Abraham was already thinking that Eliezers would be his heir. He was thinking wongly because he was seeing wrongly; so God took him out to see the stars. As a result he saw right and got an heir through his wife, Sarah even at old age.
In Judges 6, God made Gideon to see right so he could have boldness to deliver Israel. Peter rejected what God showed him in act 10 and limited himself to the Jews. God had to raise Paul as an Apostle to reach the Gentiles instead of Peter.

Beloved, discover God’s vision for your life, finances, family, business and ministry this year; and take the limits off!! You can do this by asking God to show you His plan for your life, by meditating on God’s promises in His word and by always positioning yourself in an atmosphere of inspiration.

Have a productive new year.

This year 2010!

“And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, see, I have set thee over all the land of Egypt” Gen. 41:41

This year 2010, the dreams and visions you have had for a long time will come to fulfillment in the name of Jesus.

For about 13 years after Joseph saw the dream that he would be in leadership position, his situation did not look it. He went through all sorts of challenges. He was a slave, then a servant-slave and finally a prisoner-slave. I perceived that God allowed him to be sent into the prison because the prison was in the Pharaoh’s palace and so was closer to the throne. God eventually made way for him to have the throne even from the prison. Dream fulfilled!!!.

Beloved, hear the word of the Lord, your destiny will speak this year, your dreams shall be fulfilled in the name of Jesus.

Happy New Year!
