The King’s heart

“It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter. The heaven for height, and the earth for depth, and the heart of kings is unsearchable. Take away the dross from the silver, and there shall come forth a vessel for the finer.” Proverbs 25:2-4
“The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.” Deuteronomy 29:29

The king’s heart is unsearchable but searches out a matter.

Every real king has access to secrets and has been privileged to have answers to what others consider a mystery. The Bible calls Christians, kings. Rev 5:10 says, “And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.” However, it is possible to be a “potential” king and still live as a slave on earth. This happens if the king’s heart in a person is not activated. If you always turn in another direction when you hit a wall instead of searching out things you may not realize the king in you. You must find out why things are not working the way you expected. You must find out the new things that can make your environment better. You must find out answers to your personal questions and that of others if you really want the honor of a king.

In the old testaments, kings relied on prophets, magicians, and astrologers to search out things. You remember Joseph interpreting the dreams of Pharaoh when the magicians of Egypt failed. You can also remember Daniel interpreting the writings for Belshazzar by the spirit of God that dwelled in him. Elisha was telling the kings of Israel the plots of the king of Syria even his discussion in his bedchambers. In this dispensation, we are equipped by the spirit of wisdom and revelation as a result of indwelling Holy Spirit in us.

Perhaps you are in a situation now that needs you to search out a matter, do it! Your honor lies in your discovery. There is no hard ground, there are only ignorant men.

May the king’s heart in you be activated in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: O God empower me to search out matters and make a new discovery in Jesus name.

Scriptural wisdom for your destiny

“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.” Proverbs 4:7

It is of utmost importance to operate in wisdom in all affairs of life. It is impossible for someone who has failed in the school of wisdom to fulfill destiny. A hard working fool will look worse than a lazy fellow. Let me share with you three basic pearls of wisdom in destiny.
1. Have a covenant relationship with God. God is committed to you when you are committed to His word. You must reverence God and obey Him in all you do to stay in covenant with Him. When you carry the aura of God, you attract the right people. When you are well connected to God, the grace and the anointing for results flow through you.  “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” John 15:5
2. Have a cordial relationship with men. Treat people well. Invest in your relationship with people. Make yourself irresistible to people by contributing to their lives at your level. Apart from the disciples, Jesus was supported by people (Luke 8:2-3), and He visited people Luke 10:38). Four men broke through the roof to get their sick friend to Jesus (Mark 2). If the right people are committed to your life, you can never be on the floor. Where there are no people the vision perishes.
3. Whatever your hands find to do, do it with all your strength. There is no second opportunity to make the impression. First impressions are difficult to erase. Whenever you are given the opportunity to do something, give it your best. “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the LORD, not for human masters,” Colossians 3:23. “Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.” Proverbs 22:29.
May you operate in the wisdom that will continually make room for you in Jesus name.
Prayer for today: Oh Lord, baptize me with wisdom in Jesus name.

Lord save me!

“But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.” Mathew 14:30

When your faith is weak, and doubt has set in. When the storm is ranging and fear has come over you, pray this simple prayer, “Lord save me.”

God is not only willing to save us from our sins, He is also willing to save us from our troubles.

Psalm 50:15 says, “And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.” Acts 16:25-26 says, “And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.”

You don’t really need to do anything wrong before the trouble comes. When you are on the Lord side, the enemy may want to try how much you can trust the Lord. The enemy may also be angry because you are doing damage to his work as he became angry with Paul and Silas. Also, you will likely handle trouble when your level is about to change as it was for Joseph in Potiphar’s house. In all cases, don’t forget to ask the Lord to save you. Psalm 46:1 says, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Proverbs 18:10 says, “The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.” And when He extends is His hand to save you, just take His hand and you will both walk through the trouble.

May your story turn to glory this week in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh Lord, save me.

Christian Love 4

“““What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?” He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”” Luke 10:26-27

“So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.” Mathew 7:12

Christian Love is rooted first in loving God and secondly, in loving our neighbors as ourselves.

Let me quickly say this, the best way to love yourself is to love God. This is because you can trust God with your life. He will keep you, protect you, see you through your challenges, help you and guide you. God can never mismanage your life.

The best way to love your neighbor is to do to them exactly what you expect them to do to you. Many Christians have failed in this regard, that is why we see the trouble that is in the world showing its face in the church today. The characteristics of Christian love is revealed in 2 Corinthians 13. Verses 4-7 says, “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.” Before you do anything to your neighbor who can be a believer or an unbeliever, put yourself in his or her shoes. If it was you, how would you take it? Secondly, if your neighbor is in need and you have the power to meet it, Love compels you not to neglect him or her. Love is expressed by giving (John 3:16). Finally, the best way to show God to others as a Christian is by showing true unconditional love. 1 John 4:12 says, “No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.”

May the true Love be found in you, with you and around you in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, give me the grace to be an agent of your true love wherever I find myself in Jesus name.

Christian Love 3

“He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” John 14:21

Love is an action word just as faith is an action word. The only true evidence of love is its expression. A Christian priority is to love God with the whole of his or her heart. If you love God in the bible way, you can never be beaten by anything in this world. This is because you will experience God’s power and presence in all situations.

There are two constituents of our love for God.

1.              Have His commandments: If you truly love the Lord, you must be hungry for His instructions (commandments) for your life at all times. His instructions are not burdensome. They may look unreasonable or uncomfortable but having them and keeping them will bring you breakthroughs. Let your daily prayer be “Oh Lord, what are you saying to me?” Have you ever been hungry or thirsty for something? Have you ever needed something as someone gasping for air to survive? When it comes to this love for God, you must seek His instructions with the whole of your being.

2.              Keep His commandment:  You must keep the instructions you have received from Him if you truly love Him. We do ourselves a lot of harm when we willfully disobey His instructions. We expose ourselves to defeat in the hand of the enemy and keep ourselves away from His presence when we reject His commandments. However, when we keep His instructions we harness the greatest force in heaven and on earth for our destinies.

Beloved, in all your getting, get His commandments and when you do, keep them. This is your way of expressing your love for God.

Prayer for today: Oh God grant me access to your instructions for my life and give me the grace to keep them in Jesus name.

Christian Love 2

“I am distressed for you, my brother Jonathan; You have been a good friend to me. Your love toward me was more wonderful Than the love of women.” 2 Samuel 1:26

It is important to distinguish Christian love (Agape) from lust love (Eros) and friendship or family love (Philos) before explaining Christian Love.

The attraction between a woman and a man based on feelings (Eros) is not true love. See the story of Ammon and Tamar in 2 Samuel 13. After Ammon had his way forcefully with Tamar based on what he called “love” the bible says in 2 Samuel 13: 15, “Then Amnon became extremely hateful toward her, for his hatred toward her was greater than the love which he had for her. And Amnon said to her, “Get up and get out!”” He only responded to a feeling, he never loved her. Many people’s lives have been destroyed today because of this pseudo-love.

Our text today recognized a kind of love stronger than the “love” between a woman and a man. David said that the love Jonathan had for him was more than the love of women. Here, David was actually describing a love that occurs between two committed friends or people from the same family (Philos). However, examining the love that existed between Jonathan and David revealed that it was more than “Philos.” 1 Samuel 18:1 says, “When David had finished speaking to Saul, the soul of Jonathan was bonded to the soul of David, and Jonathan loved him as himself.” One of the characteristics of Christian Love (Agape) is loving your neighbor as yourself. This was why Jonathan went on to protect David despite the fact that he knew that David would take the throne according to God’s plan.

May you find yourself in the midst of true love as a giver and as a receiver in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Lord plant your true love in my heart towards my neighbors and plant your true love in my neighbors towards me in Jesus name.

Christian Love 1

“And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13

When you have faith or hope you experience a part of God but when you have Love you experience the fullness of God. Let me put it this way, where there is Love, there is the fullness of God; where there is hatred, there is the fullness of the devil. The world is in trouble because there is no Love. The world will have solutions if Love is allowed to reign. Nothing can take the place of Love, not position, money or power.

Romans 10:13 says, “Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore, love is the fulfillment of the law.” Jesus replied a young man who wanted to know what he needed to inherit eternal life in Luke 10: 26-27, ““What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?” He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” You want the best in this life and in the life to come, walk in Love. There is no situation that you have found yourself that Love cannot conquer.

When natural laws are broken there is trouble; when spiritual laws are broken there is death. Spiritual laws are about Love. Loving God above everything, Loving yourself and your neighbor equally. I will speak about each in the subsequent messages.

May Love be in you and around you in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, help me to walk in Love in Jesus name.

Christian hope 2

“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also.” John 14:1-3

As Christians, we also have an eternal hope.

Jesus has promised us mansions in heaven. And His promises are ye and amen (2Cor 1:20). Beyond this tempestuous world, there is an eternal place of rest for all believers in Christ. A place where God will wipe away every tear from our eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away (Rev 21:4). An invitation to receive Christ is also an invitation to the marriage supper of the Lamb for those who receive Him and maintain their faith in Him on earth.

His life displayed two important aspects of our eternal hope which is the resurrection of the dead and the rapture of the saint.
1.              The dead in Christ shall be resurrected because Jesus Christ resurrected after three days. 1 Corinthians 15: 20-21 says, “But now Christ is risen from the dead, and has become the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead.”
2.              There shall be taken away of the saint (rapture) because Christ ascended into heaven. Acts 1:9 says, “Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight.” 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 says, “For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.”

Beloved, you have hope both in this world and in the world to come.
Prayer for today: My hope is built on Christ the solid rock upon whom I stand in all situations in Jesus name.

Christian hope 1

“To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:” Colossians 1:27

Christian hope is both temporal and eternal. I will talk about our temporal hope; the hope we have in this terrestrial world today.

The hope is based on the presence of Christ in us. Christ means the anointed one. Our hope is based on the presence of the anointed one in our lives. There are implications of this statement which cumulated into our hope of glory.
1.              The anointed one came to deliver and He lives on the inside of us. Acts 10:38, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”
2.              The anointed one is greater than the gods of this world, and He lives on the inside of us. 1 John 4:4, “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”
3.              The anointed one is our teacher and He lives on the inside of us as “the anointing.” 1 John 2:27, “But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.”
4.              The anointed one is true and cannot lie, and He lives on the inside of us. John 14:6 says, “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

Beloved in any situation you find yourself, be conscious of the fact that you are carrying Christ on the inside of you and as a result, you have a glorious hope.
Prayer for today: Christ lives on the inside of me, no situation is impossible for me to overcome in the name of Jesus.

The necessity of hope

“To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:” Colossians 1:27

In the past eight days, I have been talking about faith, specifically winning the faith fight. Let us now talk about hope. In Christian life, three ingredients are very important. They are faith, hope, and love.

When there is no hope, faith becomes incapacitated. Faith becomes a substance when hope is in place. If you are not hopeless, you are not faithless. If you are a believer in Christ, you are not hopeless neither is your situation hopeless. When Christ is in you, you can hope for a glorious conclusion or end of any situation or circumstances.

I don’t know what situation you are passing through right now. Long term failure? Barrenness at old age? Long term poverty? Long term sickness? Long term battles? But I have good news for you. It will end well and positively. Why? Because when Christ is in you, you can hope for a glorious ending. Do not be like Zechariah who lost hope of having a child in Luke 1. When the Angel spoke to him, he doubted because he was hopeless. His commitment worked for him, God still gave him a child at old age. But he was punished for his unbelief. Be like Paul in Acts 27 who had hope that they would all be saved despite the storm. And they all did!

Beloved, I see ahead of you a glorious conclusion, be hopeful.

Prayer for today: I am hopeful because Christ is in me in Jesus name.

Winning The Faith fight 8

“David said to Saul, “Let no one lose heart on account of this Philistine; your servant will go and fight him.”” 1Samuel 17:32
To win the fight of faith you must see what God sees.

You must be able to see ways where others see blockages. You must be able to see success where others see failure. You must be able to see victory where others see defeat. You must never take no for an answer from any situation or from a man when God has given you a yes. You must see possibilities where others see impossibilities. David said to Saul about Goliath, who made all the warriors in Israel to run away, that he would go and fight him, and no one should be afraid. Beloved, that is faith in action.

Mary was told that she would be pregnant despite the fact that she was a virgin, she believed and accepted the message of God. One scripture story I love so much is the account of four friends of a sick man in Mark 2:3-5. “Some men came, bringing to him a paralyzed man, carried by four of them. Since they could not get him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof above Jesus by digging through it and then lowered the mat the man was lying on. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to the paralyzed man, “Son, your sins are forgiven.””

Beloved, if you can believe God and act on His word, you will walk through mountains and valleys and arrive in a place of glory and honor.
I see God helping you to break forth on every side in Jesus name

Prayer for today: I receive boldness to enter the inheritance of faith that God has allocated to me in Jesus name.

Winning The Faith fight 7

“And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?” Luke 18:7-8

If your faith says yes, God will never say no! If your faith says yes, you will be persistent in prayers.

Be persistent in prayers. Persistency is evidence of the winning faith. If you believe God for it, don’t stop mentioning it in prayers until you receive it. The persistent widow said the same thing until she got the answer, “Grant me justice against my adversary.” Jesus said that was faith! Bartimaeus shouted, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” Jesus said to him, “your faith has healed you.” Jacob said from midnight till daybreak, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.” The Angel said to him, “Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel, because you have struggled with God and with humans and have overcome.”

If you have faith, you will say it until you receive it. You will stay on one prayer point for hours and not be weary, until you have answers. The woman with the issue of blood thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.” When she put her thought into action, she was not refused. Although Jesus was on His way to raise from the dead the twelve-year-old dead daughter of Jairus, she quickly harnessed the power of God through a “Yes faith” for the healing of her twelve years old issue of blood. Jesus said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace and be freed from your suffering.”

I see you getting results with your faith.

Prayer for today: I receive grace to be persistent in prayers until I get results in Jesus name.

Winning The Faith fight 6

“But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.” Mathew 14:30-32

Let Jesus help your faith.

There can be situations when you are really afraid and your faith will “fly away.”  But in this kind of situation, you can still win the faith fight if you allow Jesus to hold your hand and help you. Note that in our text today that Peter doubted because of the wind and began to sink. However, when Jesus held his hand, he continued to walk on water despite the fact that the wind was still there. The wind did not stop until they both entered the boat. Peter still won the faith fight because Jesus helped him. Jesus is willing to help you to win with your faith.

“Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!”” Mark 9:23-24. Jesus helped the faith of the father of the child by setting his child free. Jesus will help you too. Spend time with Jesus in prayer, worship, and meditation on the scriptures. The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!” (Luke 17:5). If you are having difficulty in believing God, ask Jesus to help you.

I decree, you have the winning faith in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: O God help my unbelief and increase my faith in Jesus name.

Winning The Faith fight 5

“That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” Hebrews 6:12.
Patience is a major factor to win the faith fight.

You must be in constant agreement with the promise in changing circumstances until the promise manifest. What this means is that you must keep on confessing or acting on the word whether your situation agrees with it or not until your situation agrees with it. If you are believing God for healing, keep on declaring the word whether it gets better or not until your body begins to respond and you eventually get healed. The manifestation of the promise is instant in the spirit but may take time in the physical. During this time of waiting, you must hold the promise as a tangible substance. Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1).

In Mathew 14:29-32, Peter walked on water based on the word he received from Jesus. He lost grip of the word and started sinking because of the wind, a change in the situation.  Don’t doubt because of your situation or what you can see. What you can see is subject to change (2 Cor 4:18). Choose to walk patiently by faith and not by sight (2 Cor 5:7). The word works in all situations, faith is a winner at all times. Never lose grip on your faith no matter how long it takes and what happens on the way.
I see God’s promises coming to pass in your life in Jesus name.
Prayer for today: Lord help me to be constant in faith no matter what happens. I receive grace to patiently walk in faith until I see results in Jesus name.

Winning The Faith fight 4

“Jesus says, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, move from here to there, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you” [Matthew 17:20, Luke 17:6].

One of the ways to express your faith is by “saying.” Speak to the mountain to move and state exactly where it should move to. The mountain is waiting for what you will say to it. Don’t be intimated by the size of the mountain, your faith-filled words can handle it no matter its sizes. If you say something to it, it will obey. If you say nothing, it will just stay there. Jesus said in our text today that If you can say it, nothing will be impossible for you. Say it until you see it. All situations that are confronting you are waiting for your instruction through your faith-filled words.

Ezekiel was taken to the valley full of dried bones in Ezekiel 37. The dried bones became a mighty army after a series of the prophetic declaration given by Ezekiel as revealed to him by God. The bones came together. The flesh came upon them. The spirit came into them. All because Ezekiel said it to them. You too can prophesy to the dry bones of your life. Speak the word of God to your situation until you see results.

Beloved, to win the faith fight, you must say something that agrees with your faith.
I see the mountain crumbling before you in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: What are you, mighty mountain? Before me, you will become level ground in Jesus name.

Winning The Faith fight 3

“But solid food is for the mature, WHO BY CONSTANT USE HAVE TRAINED THEMSELVES to distinguish good from evil.” Hebrews 5:14 (Emphasis mine)
“Jesus says, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, move from here to there, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you” [Matthew 17:20, Luke 17:6].

Yesterday, I stated that your faith has the capacity to grow. And I mentioned few ways to grow your faith which include focusing on your past victories, maintaining fellowship with God and with people who have faith in God. I want to share with you another important way to grow your faith which is “constant use of it.” If you are using your faith constantly, it will grow.

Whenever you have a challenge, don’t turn to the arm of flesh but rather use your faith. Speak to your mountain. Pray about everything. Wait on God for specific instructions. Do what God tells you to do. Make bold declarations.
As David was using his faith, he was growing with it. “But David said to Saul, “Your servant has been keeping his father’s sheep. When a lion or a bear came and carried off a sheep from the flock, I went after it, struck it and rescued the sheep from its mouth. When it turned on me, I seized it by its hair, struck it and killed it. Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God.” 1 Samuel 17:34-36. Eventually, he never lost any field battle because he was growing his faith by using it. Anything you use grows; but anything you don’t use is taking from you. Grow your faith by using it.
May your little faith grow; may your mountain move in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I declare I am an overcomer through faith in the Lord Jesus.

Winning The Faith fight 2

“Jesus says, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, move from here to there, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you” [Matthew 17:20, Luke 17:6].
Your faith has the capacity to grow so a little faith is all you need. Just like the biggest plant is in the small mustard seed, your greatest miracle is in your little faith. Never doubt the power of your little faith. Just like a small cloud has the capacity to grow into heavy rain, your little faith has the capacity to grow and secure great victories.
“The seventh time the servant reported, “A cloud as small as a man’s hand is rising from the sea.” So Elijah said, “Go and tell Ahab, ‘Hitch up your chariot and go down before the rain stops you.’” Meanwhile, the sky grew black with clouds, the wind rose, a heavy rain started falling and Ahab rode off to Jezreel.” 1 Kings 18:44-45

“But David said to Saul, “Your servant has been keeping his father’s sheep. When a lion or a bear came and carried off a sheep from the flock, I went after it, struck it and rescued the sheep from its mouth. When it turned on me, I seized it by its hair, struck it and killed it. Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God.” 1 Samuel 17:34-36

If you want to grow your faith, you must start focusing on your past victories and not on your past defeats. You must maintain fellowship with God and with people who have faith in God. Devil will want to kill your little faith, don’t allow him. He knows what your little faith can do, so you need also to know so that you can win with your little faith and not allow him to steal it. David said if I had killed a lion and a bear before, I can also kill this Goliath.

I see you subdue your Goliath with your little faith in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, let me experience you in a new way this week, let there be evidences of your power in my life in Jesus name.

Winning The Faith fight 1

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:” 2 Timothy 4:7

Faith is a good fight. Why?

The first reason is that the world-way is different from the bible-way, you must keep the faith in Christ and in His word to live in the bible-way and defeat the world-way.

The second reason is that your present situation does not represent the best of God for you. You must see what God has for you and experience it despite your present situation. It takes faith to appropriate the promise of the Spirit. When your situation is not in agreement with what God has written about you, it takes the faith fight to turn the situation around.

The third reason is that when the facts and the truth are not in agreement, you need faith to turn the fact to the truth.

Faith is a daily fight. Jesus taught His disciples, “Give us this day our daily bread.” He also told Satan, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” You must receive God’s word daily, believe His word daily and act on His word daily.

Faith is a life time fight. You must understand it and use it for you to truly live on earth. Habakkuk 2:4, Roman 1:17 and Hebrews 10:38 emphasized that the Just shall live by faith. Anytime you need to challenge the status quo and make change a reality, the weapon of faith must be handy. When faith is present, result is inevitable.

Faith is both a gift and a fruit. This means God can give you the gift of faith as a spiritual gift, and you can also develop faith through the study of the word. Lastly for this introduction of the series “Winning the faith fight,” patience and hope are faith boosters.

I see you winning all your battles in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I decree in the name of Jesus Christ, I am a winner, I am not a loser.

Stay in the will of God

“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.” John 1:12-13

As a believer in His name, you have been born of the will of God, stay in the will of God for your life.

We can always enjoy peace in the midst of the storm if we stay in the will of God for our lives. We can always deal with the attacks from the power of darkness and appropriate God’s blessing into our lives if we stay in His will. We can always pray in confidence and receive answers to our prayers if we stay in His will for our lives.

“Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.” 1 John 5:14-15

“And that servant who knew his master’s will, and did not prepare himself or do according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes. But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.” Luke 12:47-48.

It is of utmost importance for you and me to always find the will of God for our lives and do accordingly. If we do, we cannot be beaten by the stripes of this world. We will be able to overcome the challenges that come our way. Spend time with God and His word to discover what He is saying to you. And when you discover His will for your life, do it with all your strength.

May you know and live according to the will of God for your life in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, reveal to me your will for my life daily, give me the grace to live accordingly in Jesus name.

Run with the word!

“And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:41-42

Hear the word of the Lord, never run with the trouble, run with the word!

Perhaps you are troubled with many things right now and that is the motivation behind all the actions that you are taking. You are worried. You are running helter-skelter. You are talking to the wrong people. What it means is that you are running with the trouble. As a Christian, God does not want you to run with the trouble, He wants you to run with the word. You are one word away, out of the trouble, no matter what it is!
What should you then do? You must sit at Jesus’ feet and get a word. If you do, it cannot be taken away from you and it will surely give you a solution to the trouble. If you are talking to a person, it will be because Jesus said so. If you take any step it will be because you have a word from Him. If you have a word from Him, the mountains will skip like rams, and the little hills will skip like lambs before you. Not only that, the sea will flee and Jordan shall be driven back (Psalm 114). Luke 5: 4-6 says, “Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless, at thy word, I will let down the net. And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.”

Beloved, in all thy getting, get a word from the Lord. If you do, you will stop toiling and start taking!!

Prayer for today: I need a word to run with to deal with my trouble, Oh God give me a word in Jesus name.

Victory mentality 3

“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” 1 John 5:4
“And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.  And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?” Mathew 14:29-31

The fact that you have received a vision or an idea from God does not mean that you will not be challenged. The fact that you are facing a challenge in executing the vision or idea that God gave you does not mean that you have not heard God. Any vision or idea that God gives has the potential of victory and capacity to overcome all obstacles and challenges. Keep the mentality of victory when executing the vision God gave you.

Peter heard Jesus said to him to come on water, and he did. He walked on water. He acted on God’s word and saw the supernatural. All were going well until the storm came. The fact that Peter heard God did not prevent the storm from coming. Peter became afraid of the storm, doubted the word and began to sink. Beloved, you cannot sink unless you doubt! The good news is that Peter cried unto the Lord to save him, and Jesus did save him. Both of them walked together on the water!

Perhaps you are facing a storm right now in the assignment God gave you, hear the word of the Lord: Don’t doubt God, the storm will soon be over. Perhaps you are already sinking, ask God to save you and He will hold your hand through the challenges.

Beloved, you are an overcomer, never doubt this truth until you see your victory.

Prayer for today: Lord, help me all the way to see the successful completion of the assignment you have given me in Jesus name.

Victory mentality 2

“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” 1 John 5:4

“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.” 1 John 4:4

The evidence of victory mentality in your life is the boldness of faith. If you carry this victory mentality that you are an overcomer, you will be bold in every situation that comes your way with the assurance of faith in God’s word. If you carry this mentality, it will reflect in the way you talk and the way you act.

Let me give you a very good example. If you receive an alert on your phone that certain money has been deposited in your account. Although you have not seen the physical cash, you will be bold to enter a shop to buy whatever you need. You will even call your wife and ask, “did you say this morning that you needed 10,000? I will give it to you” Beloved, I don’t care to know what you are going through but I care to tell you that if you are born of God, you are an overcomer. Attack your goliaths and mountains from the mentality of a victor. In 1 Samuel 17:32, David said to Saul, “Let no man's heart fail because of him; thy servant will go and fight with this Philistine.” He did not say it only, he went after Goliath, spoke against him and killed him using an insignificant instrument. That is the kind of mentality of victory you and I should carry.

May you see the manifestation of victories in every area of your life in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I declare in the name of Jesus, God has not given me the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Victory mentality 1

“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” 1 John 5:4

There are two kinds of birth, there is the physical birth and also there is a spiritual birth. Physical birth comes as a result of a union between a woman and a man. The Bible calls it to be born of the flesh and blood. Spiritual birth comes as a result of believing that Jesus is Christ. It is called being born of God or being born of the water and of the spirit. Every true Christian has experienced a spiritual birth. Part of the package of being born of God is VICTORY. You become an overcomer and thus have victory over sin, satan and the world when you experienced spiritual birth. Devil is always afraid of any Christian who knows and understands this position of victory. You must carry this mentality every day and confront whatever the enemy throws at you with the conviction that you have victory over him.

Two scriptures are important to emphasize this:

“And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.” Numbers 13:30

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:13

The first scripture is telling you that if God has given you anything just take it no matter what your eyes are seeing. If God has given you victory just take it and reject defeat in your life. The twelve spies saw the giants in the promised land but unfortunately, ten of them said they could not take the land and they did not. Two said they could take the land and they did!! The second scripture is saying that you have the strength of the anointed one to do all things.  As you go about your day to day activities, know that you are victorious already.

I decree that the last defeat you experienced shall be the last forever in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: As I journey through this world, I carry the mentality of a victorious saint in Jesus name.

Change your world…… 4

“Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:  But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.” Acts 26:19-20

You have put your conviction in the right perspective, you are speaking correctly and you are praying, the fourth thing you must do to change your world is ACT. Take revelation or knowledge-based steps to change your world. Work out your miracles by acting on God’s instructions for your life. One good thing that will happen to you if you are a praying Christian is that you will begin to see things. You will see and know things about yourself, about your environment, about what you should do to change your world. Now when you see or know things, you must do something about them. Paul said in our text, “I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision.” He began to do something radical about it immediately. He was seen everywhere doing what he had been told by God to do. The rest is history, he changed the world!

The problem with most people is that when God speaks to them or give them a revelation of an idea of what they should do, they wonder if it will work. They doubt!! They consult with people who will discourage them from acting on what God has revealed to them. Paul said in Galatians 1:16, “To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:” Beloved, stop doubting, start acting, the world belongs to actors and not doubters.

May you believe God, may you do something about what he revealed to you, may you change your world for good in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I refuse to be disobedient to the heavenly vision, I receive grace to make things happen on earth in Jesus name.

Change your world…… 3

“ Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” Mark 11:23

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” Phillipians 4:6

We have emphasized two things already which are necessary to change our world: our conviction and our word. You must change your conviction and change your word in order to change your world. The third thing is your prayer. Beloved, pray for everything and worry on nothing if you want to change your world. Actually if you are convinced that God will help you, your spoken word will be in agreement with that conviction and you will be able to stay in prayer until your world changes.

Jesus said that you should pray a believing prayer to receive your desire. This means if you want to change your world, it will happen if you pray a believing prayer. Pray without doubting. When Anna was tired of a world of barrenness, she changed it by praying. Are you being harassed by any form of barrenness, financial, career, business, marital, spiritual, physical? You can change it by praying a believing prayer. Jabez was tormented by the curse of his mother, prayer changed his world of curse to a world of blessing. Bartimaeus cried out to Jesus, his world was changed from that of darkness into light.

I declare may your world change; may you experience the light of God in the midst of darkness; may you experience a visitation of God that will change your world forever in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Father change my world from failure to success, from disappointment to appointment, from sickness to health, from sin to righteousness and from poverty to riches in Jesus name.

Change your world…… 2

“For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” Mark 11:23

Happy new month. May this month be profitable for you in Jesus name.

Yesterday I emphasized the importance of speaking from the conviction about what God would do and not on the conviction of the adverseness of your situation if you want to change your world. Today I want to emphasize the importance of speaking directly to your world to change it.

Jesus said anyone who speaks to his or her mountain will see results if he or she does not doubt. You can tell your world what it should be! You are a product of a word. Let me put it this way, what is happening presently in your life is the result of the word that was spoken either for you or against you. You can neutralize a contrary word by speaking against it. You can claim a blessing and curse a curse!!

Jesus demonstrated the power of the spoken word to change the world during His physical sojourn on earth. He spoke to the storm to be still, the storm responded. He spoke to an unprofitable fig tree to dry up, and it did exactly that. He spoke to the dead Lazarus to come back to life, and Lazarus resurrected. He spoke to two loaves and five fishes, and they multiplied enough to feed five thousand men. When He was leaving he said we could do better than what He did! This means your world is waiting for your word!!!

It is you that should tell your situation what it should do and not your situation telling you what you should do.

Prayer for today: As I have entered the new month, I speak to my red sea to divide, my Jericho wall to collapse and my little to become much in Jesus name.

Change your world…… 1

“O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh…….. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.” Mathew 12:34,37

Change your world by changing your word! Change your word by changing your conviction!!

A man’s world cannot be separated from his word. This is because your word will either kill you or make you alive. A man’s word cannot be separated from his conviction. This is because out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. The question is where do you draw your conviction? From your world or from the word?

See these two statements to understand what I am talking about…

“And when Pharaoh drew nigh, the children of Israel lifted up their eyes, and, behold, the Egyptians marched after them; and they were sore afraid: and the children of Israel cried out unto the Lord. And they said unto Moses, Because there were no graves in Egypt, hast thou taken us away to die in the wilderness? wherefore hast thou dealt thus with us, to carry us forth out of Egypt?” Exodus 14:10-11

“And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you today: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more forever.” Exodus 14:13

The children of Israel spoke from the conviction of their situation, that the Egyptians had the capability to destroy them. But Moses spoke on the conviction of the word, that God will help them. God responded to Moses’ word and their world changed.

If you are going through financial challenges, declare, “the Lord shall supply all my needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus”

Beloved, fill your heart with the word so that you change your world by your word.

Prayer for today: I am convincingly convinced that God will help me in Jesus name.

The word only

"The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.” Mathew 8:8

Eat the word, believe the word, speak the word if you want to be in charge of any situation as a Christian. The word only, not any form of ritual, no matter how religious. The word carries the authority to make things happen and to change things. Everything has the capacity to hear the word and to obey.  If you are a Christian, you cannot survive without the word.

The word knows no distance. The centurion said to Jesus, you don’t need to come, just speak the word and my servant will be healed. The word knows no limitation. In fact, you cannot have the word and be hindered. The Psalmist said in Psalm 114:3 that, “The sea saw it and fled; Jordan turned back. The mountains skipped like rams, The little hills like lambs.” Everything, whether terrestrial or celestial, recognizes anyone who has the word. Wherever the word of God is, God is there.
Beloved, in all thy getting, get the word! The situation you are going through presently is waiting for a word. I decree the battle you are going through is over forever in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, give me a word concerning the situation I am going through in Jesus name.
