“But solid food is for the mature, WHO BY
CONSTANT USE HAVE TRAINED THEMSELVES to distinguish good from evil.” Hebrews
5:14 (Emphasis mine)
“Jesus
says, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, move
from here to there, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you”
[Matthew 17:20, Luke 17:6].
Yesterday, I stated that your faith
has the capacity to grow. And I mentioned few ways to grow your faith which
include focusing on your past victories, maintaining fellowship with God and
with people who have faith in God. I want to share with you another important
way to grow your faith which is “constant use of it.” If you are using your
faith constantly, it will grow.
Whenever you have a challenge, don’t
turn to the arm of flesh but rather use your faith. Speak to your mountain.
Pray about everything. Wait on God for specific instructions. Do what God tells
you to do. Make bold declarations.
As David was using his faith, he was
growing with it. “But David said to Saul, “Your servant has been keeping his
father’s sheep. When a lion or a bear came and carried off a sheep from the
flock, I went after it, struck it and rescued the sheep from its mouth. When it
turned on me, I seized it by its hair, struck it and killed it. Your servant
has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be
like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God.” 1 Samuel
17:34-36. Eventually, he never lost any field battle because he was growing his
faith by using it. Anything you use grows; but anything you don’t use is taking
from you. Grow your faith by using it.
May your little faith grow; may your
mountain move in Jesus name.
Prayer
for today: I declare I am an overcomer through faith in the Lord Jesus.
