Two Kinds of Progress

“And he said unto me, my grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness…..” 2Cor. 12:9

There are two kinds of progress; one is by man’s strength while the other is by the strength of God.

Making progress by one’s strength is like trekking, it is slow, stressful and boring. A man engaged is such progress will soon be tired and come to stagnancy. On the other hand, a man can ride on the wings of God’s grace and enjoy unusual, faster and sweat progress. This is what I desire for you this year.

Now this second kind of progress has levels. There are the “bicycle” and “motor cycle” levels where you enjoy a little grace which makes your progress a little better than trekking. The other levels are “car” and “airplane” levels. At such levels, the Holy Spirit is in complete control and He is allowed to display His full strength to bring progress and results to your life. That is where you belong and should be operating.

The key to operating in such level is humility and faith. You must be willing to trade your weakness for God’s strength and believe Him for the impossible.

I ask God to give you uncommon progress this year in Jesus name.

The Price of Progress

“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God” Heb. 12:2

Progress has a price tag. Getting results has a price tag. Unless the price is paid, the progress desired will only exist in the “wish realm.”

Beloved, when you set your goals, find out what you need to do to accomplish them and do it. This is the price and he who pays the price carries the good. Now there are two general terms for any price anyone will have to pay for his goals. They are “discipline” and “sacrifice.” These would interpret to different action steps depending on individuals and the progress (results) desired. Beloved, are you willing to discipline yourself and sacrifice for you to achieve your desired results this year? Jesus endured the cross to be crowned the Savior of the world. How true the saying, “No cross, No crown!!” If you want it, find out what it cost and pay it!.

Your long term dreams shall be fulfilled this year in Jesus name.
