Wind of change

“And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.” Mark 10:49

The wind of change means the power to bring the change your heart desires. If this wind blows on you, your situation can never remain the same. The wind is an encounter with Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit. He is called the unchangeable changer. I am glad to announce to you that the wind is coming upon you right now, and every situation that has brought you sadness will turn to joy in the name of Jesus. Bartimeus had been a blind man sitting on the roadside to beg. When he became aware that Jesus was passing, he recognized the fact that the wind of change was blowing. He aggressively connected to the wind and experienced a change he had desired for many years.

“And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.” Exodus 3:4

“Count not thine handmaid for a daughter of Belial: for out of the abundance of my complaint and grief have I spoken hitherto. Then Eli answered and said, Go in peace: and the God of Israel grant thee thy petition that thou hast asked of him.” 1 Samuel 1:16-17

The stories of Moses and Hannah are good examples of what I am talking about. Moses had given up on leading the people of Israel. He had become a shepherd of sheep and became comfortable with it until the wind of change blew on him. He had an encounter with God. Hannah's barrenness was over when she keyed into the wind by praying through.

May you encounter the wind of change this month in every area of my life in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, blow the wind of change over my situation right now in Jesus name.

Salvation: Lord Jesus, I believe in the forgiveness of sin and in the redemption from the power of darkness through your blood. I confess you as my Savior and Lord.  I invite you into my life to save my soul. Holy Spirit, come into my heart and make me what you want me to be. Thank you Lord for saving me in Jesus name.

You can do better than this!

“For it was little which thou hadst before I came, and it is now increased unto a multitude; and the Lord hath blessed thee since my coming: and now when shall I provide for mine own house also?” Genesis 30:30

Jacob had been a slave to Laban for more than twenty-one years. All he could show for his labor was wives and children. He was not even in control of his finances. Laban was in charge and was enjoying the moment. Suddenly, Jacob realized that he was more than this. He realized he could do better. He challenged the situation and realized God’s blessings upon his life.

“And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.”

“Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God.” 1 Samuel 17:36

The situation you are not willing to challenge, you cannot change. The future you are not willing to embrace you cannot conquer. Say no to stagnancy, defeat, limitation, and such that have kept you from realizing your full potential. Beloved, if what you are going through is blocking your vision, you may have to turn to God to open your eyes. God wants to do greater things through you. God wants you blessed and not just survive. God wants to enlarge and increase you. Start by asking God to help you and give you grace. Sharpen your skills and dare to take new territories.

As the month of October ends today, may you experience the increase you desire in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, enlarge my coast and expand my territory in Jesus name.

Call to Salvation: Lord Jesus, I believe in the forgiveness of sin and in the redemption from the power of darkness through your blood. I confess you as my Savior and Lord.  I invite you into my life to save my soul. Holy Spirit, come into my heart and make me what you want me to be. Thank you Lord for saving me in Jesus name.

The shame shall turn to fame!

“Behold, at that time I will undo all that afflict thee: and I will save her that halteth, and gather her that was driven out; and I will get them praise and fame in every land where they have been put to shame.” Zephaniah 3:19

Beloved, there is glory ahead of you. This shame shall turn to fame, be encouraged! There is power in looking beyond the shame the struggle and the challenge. It creates within a man the driving force to arrive at the glorious destination. Jesus went through the shame of the cross as a man in the flesh. The shame and the pain were real. But what kept Him through was the glorious expectation of the fulfillment of the redemption of man.

“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set  before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12: 2

“Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done. And there appeared an angel unto him from heaven, strengthening him.” Luke 22:42-43

Beloved, beyond the pain of barrenness, is the glorious manifestation of fruitfulness. Beyond the pain of poverty is the glorious manifestation of abundance. Beyond the pain of investment is the glorious manifestation of harvest. May your pain give way to gain, may your shame give way to fame in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I receive the strength of the Lord to experience glory in my present situation in Jesus name.

Turn your weakness to strength 3

“And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four. And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.” Mark 2:3-4

One of the true indicators of your strength is the commitment of the right people to you. Decide to be of value and to be committed to helping others. Good people are your coverings when you are weak. You need to be good to others and invest in good relationships for you to turn your weakness into strength. No one has it all. No one is strong in every situation. Everyone needs another, particularly in times of weakness. Be strong for others in times of their weaknesses so that someone will be strong for you in such a time.

“The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.” John 5:7

“Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.” Proverbs 27:17

Evaluate your contributions to the life of others. Evaluate the commitment of people to you. Evaluate the reason why you want people in your life. Can you be trusted? This may determine your strength in times of weakness. The golden principle you should not forget is that you should do to others what you expect people to do to you.

May you be strengthened to handle your time of weakness in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, help me to discern and to invest in the relationship you have brought into my life in Jesus name.

Turn your weakness to strength 2

“Beat your plowshares into swords and your pruninghooks into spears: let the weak say, I am strong.” Joel 3:10

Stop talking about your weakness, start talking about what you can do to turn it to strength. Declare that you are strong even when you are feeling weak. Your weakness is actually an opportunity, an opportunity to become strong. If you have identified your weaknesses, don’t stop at that, identify the training you need also and invest your time in it. Your plowshares can become swords, they only need some beating.

“And every one that was in distress, and every one that was in debt, and every one that was discontented, gathered themselves unto him; and he became a captain over them: and there were with him about four hundred men.” 1 Samuel 22:2

“These be the names of the mighty men whom David had: The Tachmonite that sat in the seat, chief among the captains; the same was Adino the Eznite: he lift up his spear against eight hundred, whom he slew at one time.” 2 Samuel 23:8

Read the whole of 2 Samuel 23, and you will see the ending stories of people who were described to be in distress, in debt, and discontented in 1 Samuel 22. The story of your weakness is not the concluding story. Your weakness shall turn to strength in Jesus name.  Evaluate the company you keep, choose what you hear, encourage yourself, and invest in training.

I see you rising above your weaknesses in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, give me strength in the time of my weakness in Jesus name.

Turn your weakness to strength 1

“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Cor 12:9

You don’t have to be a superman to kill a Goliath, move a mountain, or quench the mouth of a Lion. You only need to be an ordinary man who carries within himself, the Supernatural God. You can actually appear stronger than your weakness if you understand how to connect to the grace of God. God’s grace is available to the humble.

“But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.” James 4:6

“Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God.” 1 Samuel 17:36

I heard the fictitious story of a mouse that desired to shake a locally made bridge. Of course, its weight is too small to accomplish that. As it was contemplating what to do, an elephant appeared and was going to pass through the same bridge. It quickly climbed the elephant, and as they went through the bridge, the bridge shook vigorously. At the end of it, the mouse screamed, “Yes, we shook the bridge together!”  Let your weakness drive you to God and not away from Him.

May the strength of God replace your weakness in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, help me to get breakthrough results in every area of my life in Jesus name.

May grace finds you

“But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.” James 4:6

Grace is a manifestation of divinity in humanity. When grace finds you, you will look like a perfect person always getting through and succeeding in all things. Grace is God at work in you. May grace finds you in Jesus name. When grace finds you, you obtain favor with God and with man.

"And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.” John 1:14

“And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:” Philippians 2: 8-9

The epitome of grace is Jesus himself. When a man finds Jesus, he has found grace and grace has found him. Grace is attracted by humility. Obedience is the key to humility. When grace is attracted, promotion is inevitable.

May grace finds you, may God lift you in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, let grace find me, let me walk in obedience and humility in Jesus name.

Grace can be imparted

“And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.” John 1:16

Mentoring is spiritual. It brings a transfer of grace if you understand it. If you follow any man, you have access to the grace he carries. Elisha followed Elijah and he received a double portion of his grace. If you desire the grace of a man, follow him wholeheartedly.

“And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Mathew 4:19

“My son, attend unto my wisdom, and bow thine ear to my understanding: That thou mayest regard discretion, and that thy lips may keep knowledge.” Proverbs 5:1-2

Jesus carried grace without limits. If you are born again, you have received a saving grace. If you grow in the knowledge of Jesus, you will receive grace to walk on earth like Jesus did. Jesus said, follow me and I will make you like me, a fisher of men. Peter failed at fishing, but when he followed Jesus, he became one of the greatest fishers of men (Luke 5). Your story of failure does not matter, if you follow Jesus, He will make a success out of you. Similarly, if you have found a man that carries the grace you desire, start following him. You can do this by listening to him and sowing into his life.

May grace be imparted upon you.

Prayer for today: Oh God, give me the grace to be who you want me to be in Jesus name.

At the throne of grace 4

“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9

Please stay at the throne of grace, even in your dark hour. When grace is at work in your life, you keep standing during the dark hour. Beloved, there is a dark hour. This is the hour when your prayers seem to be unanswered. It is the hour when your hope seems delayed. It is the hour whereby despite all efforts, nothing seems to work. In such an hour, you need the grace to keep standing. You must keep on doing what you are doing until the hour is over. It is not that anything is wrong with you, it is just that the hour is dark and you will only see results when it is passed.

“When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.” Luke 22:53

“Then spake the chief butler unto Pharaoh, saying, I do remember my faults this day:” Genesis 41:9

Jesus could not do anything to stop the people from mocking and eventually killing him. Why? It was the dark hour, but grace was available for Him. The Chief butler who Joseph told to help him, did not remember Joseph for two years. Why? It was the dark hour, but sufficient grace was available for Joseph to keep standing. This kind of hour is like a man who has put a seed in the ground. Until the process of time is complete, he will not see fruit. But, he must receive grace to keep watering the seed until the dark hour is over.

Maybe you are going through such a time right now, it will soon be over. The grace of God shall sustain you in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, give me the grace to keep standing in the faith during my dark hour in Jesus name.

At the throne of grace 3

“For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.” Romans 6:14

At the throne of grace, you receive the grace both for the forgiveness of sin and to leave sin alone. The power to leave sin alone is only available in this grace. Grace is the only answer to the sin issue. When grace takes over your life, you revolt against sin without struggle. Grace moves the law from the without into the within of a saved man.

“This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.” Hebrews 10:16-17

“Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin.” Romans 6:6-7

There is a great change when a man surrenders to grace and gives his heart to the Lord. He no longer lives to please the life of sin, but to please God. He is dead to sin. He experiences deliverance from sin, from within, which empowers him to deal with sin without. Paul wrote after his encounter with this grace  in 1 Timothy 1:15, “This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.”

May grace dominate your life in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Let grace be in operation in my life to live above sin in Jesus name.

At the throne of grace 2

“But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me.” 1 Corinthians 15:10

At the throne of grace, you receive the grace to be and to do. When this grace is at work in your life, you work hard without feeling it or complaining about it. When this grace is not taken in vain, hard work is a necessity. If you have received the grace to do something begin to do it. If there is a grace you need, it is available at the throne of grace.

“And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.” Mathew 9:35

“Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him.” Genesis 26:12

Jesus Christ our Lord, had grace without measure to teach, preach and heal. So He went about the cities and villages doing what He had been graced to do. He worked hard at it. Isaac received the grace to do the work of farming in Gerar, so he began to sow in the land. If you have received the grace to do business, start one. If you have received the grace to write, start writing. If you have received the grace to do ministry, start doing it. Whatever you have been given the grace to do, start doing it and work hard at it.

May grace be evident in your life through hard work. May you not take the grace of God in vain your life in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God give me the grace to be what you want me to be and to work at it in Jesus name.

At the throne of grace 1

“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16

When you access the throne of grace, you will experience timely mercy and timely help. Timely mercy makes judgment lose its power, protocols to be suspended and laws to be set aside. Timely help makes promotion, lifting, enlargement available without struggle.

“And it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained favour in his sight: and the king held out to Esther the golden sceptre that was in his hand. So Esther drew near, and touched the top of the sceptre.” Esther 5:2

“And he made in Jerusalem engines, invented by cunning men, to be on the towers and upon the bulwarks, to shoot arrows and great stones withal. And his name spread far abroad; for he was marvellously helped, till he was strong.” 2 Chronicles 26:15

Esther was not supposed to see the king when she was not asked to come. But, there was an urgent matter that needed urgent attention. She and her people fasted and at her appearance before the king, the protocol was set aside. She obtained timely mercy. King Uzziah became great and successful. He broke many records, invented engines including the first machine gun because he was marvelously helped. I see grace at work in your life, bringing you a change of story in Jesus name.

May you experience timely mercy and timely help every day of your life in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I call into my life and destiny timely mercy and timely help in Jesus name.

Lessons from Naaman’s story

“And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean?” 2 kings 5:13

Naaman might have been a mighty man of valor, but his great blessings were the people around him, and the fact the he listened to their suggestions. He had a maidservant who suggested that he should go to see a Prophet in Israel for his healing. And when he was instructed to do the simplest thing to be healed and he refused, the servants advised him and he listened.

“Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.” Proverbs 11:14

“But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:9

Beloved, the first lesson from the life of Naaman is that you must surround yourself with the right people and be willing to listen to them. No man knows it all no matter how great he may be. Learn to leverage the knowledge of others to achieve greatness in life. The second lesson from the life of Naaman is that the fact that something looks good does not make it God's choice. If you read the story you would discover that Naaman had a better suggestion of the river where he thought he could take his bath to be healed. The rivers he judged as good were unfortunately not God’s choice. However, he listened to his servants, otherwise, he would have remained a leper for life. Beloved, don’t only examine the look, find out what God is saying when making decisions.

May you be surrounded by the right people in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God help me to position myself for the right counsel in Jesus name.

Testify first

“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.” Revelation 12:11.

When you are dealing with a strong and stubborn adversary, testify against him first, if you desire victory.   Don’t keep quiet when the devil is harassing you, testify that he is defeated first. Continue your testimony until you see victory. God declares the end from the beginning and calls those things that be not as though they were. You must approach whatever you are going through the same way. This is a major key to your victory.

“Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:” Isaiah 46:10

“(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.” Romans 4:17

If you have a scripture or a promise concerning the attacker and the situation, testify it, please. David testified against Goliath first. He said, “This day will the Lord deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.” As you testify you become an overcomer in reality that you are spiritually (1 John 5:4).

You are an overcomer in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I declare that my adversaries are defeated in Jesus name.

Your safeguard against error

“Jesus replied, “You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God.” Mathew 22:29. (NIV)

Your safeguard against living in error as a child of God is the knowledge of His word and an encounter with His power. Your faith may still be shaken if you lack any of these. You need to ask God to grant you access into the mysteries of His word and for a definite encounter with His power. Then your Christianity will no longer just be a story, but a definite experience. You will not be moved by the lying spirits and the spirit of errors that have invaded the world.

“And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” Daniel 11:32 (KJV)

“I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.” Job 42:5

Many Christians are turning back from what they called impossible and difficult because they do not know the power of God. Many are acting contrary to the word of God because they do not know the word of God. The scriptures are the source of both the knowledge of God and the faith that is able to make all things possible for us. I have learned from the study of the scriptures and their applications that no matter what comes my way, victory is guaranteed.  When you act on the word of God you experience the power of God for victory, success, and prosperity (Joshua 1:8).

May your Christian life be free from error. May you have a passion for the scriptures and experience the power of God in every area of your life in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I refuse to walk in error, Oh God teach me your word and let me experience your power in Jesus name.

Tomorrow is predictable 2

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.” Matthew 6:33-34

The Living Bible translation of Matthew 6:33-34 says, “and he will give them to you if you give him first place in your life and live as he wants you to. So don’t be anxious about tomorrow. God will take care of your tomorrow too. Live one day at a time.” You can be confident that tomorrow is going to be good if you give God first place in your life and live as He has commanded you. On the other hand, if you have decided to transgress, hardness is predictable for tomorrow.

“But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.” Proverbs 4:18

“Good understanding giveth favour: but the way of transgressors is hard.” Proverbs 13:15

Spend time with God and do whatever He tells you.  If you do, you can predict that you will shine better tomorrow. Meditate on the scriptures and walk in the light, you can predict success and prosperity for tomorrow. What you are declaring today is a prediction of tomorrow, stop speaking negatively about yourself. Your thoughts matter too, you also become tomorrow what you are thinking today. You are the greatest prophet of your life and destiny.

Your tomorrow shall be better than today in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I prophesy a better future for my life and destiny in Jesus name.

Tomorrow is predictable 1

“Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days.” Ecclesiastes 11:1

What you do today determines what happens tomorrow. Today is the seed, tomorrow is the harvest. Today is the harvest of the seed sown yesterday. If you don’t like your harvest today, you must change your seed today in order to change your harvest tomorrow. Invest in your personal development today for a better you tomorrow. Invest in helping others today for you to receive help tomorrow. Invest your time in prayer today for a miracle harvest tomorrow.

“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” Galatians 6:7

“And David said, Is there yet any that is left of the house of Saul, that I may shew him kindness for Jonathan's sake?” 2 Samuel 9:1

Beloved, the good a man does today will come back to him tomorrow. Even if he is no more alive, his children will get into the harvest. Examine yourself today so that you can make changes that will give you a better tomorrow. You can always change your future by changing what you do today. More importantly, live your life in Christ Jesus today, if you want to spend eternity in heaven.

May your life be profitable in Jesus name.

God’s interest in you 4

“Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms;” Jeremiah 51:20

You are God’s battle axe. God cannot do anything in the nations of the world without you!! Forget about your limitations and past mistakes, focus on God and see what He would do through you. I discovered that an axe is as effective as the skills of the one using it. He will sharpen it when necessary and knows exactly how to position it. The more I realize this truth, the more I spend time with God. If you allow God to use you, your life and destiny shall surely count.

“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” John 15:5

“But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;” 1 Corinthians 1:27

Stop listening to the condemnation of men, but simply say to the Lord, here am I, use me. Read the story of Kathryn Kuhlman, AA Allen, Apostle Ayo Babalola, and Archbishop Benson Idahosa. God is interested in you too, if you will come to him as you are, be willing and obedient. If you are struggling with life, like Peter, simply surrender your boat (body) to Him to use.

You shall manifest as God’s instrument on earth in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I am God’s battle axe in Jesus name.

God’s interest in you 3

“Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.” 2 Corinthians 5:20

God wants you to be His diplomat, the one representing His kingdom on earth. Is that not prestigious? An ambassador actually lives in another country with the full backing of the country he represents. He is like a President of his country in another country. Whatever he says on behalf of his country is having equal authority as the leader of his country. He understands the constitution, sovereignty, and the importance of the country he represents and carries himself in that manner.

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;” 1 Peter 2:9

“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.” John 15:16

Jesus Christ has chosen you. You must manifest His investments in you. You are royal, holy, and peculiar. You carry the light of God and the power of His kingdom. You cannot be threatened by the kingdom of darkness and its power, for you have been chosen to subdue it and establish the kingdom of light that you represent. Open your mind and your spirit for the light of God that you need to execute your ambassadorial authority on earth.

May your life show forth as God’s agent on earth in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, give light to my spirit and my mind, and quicken my body in Jesus name.

God’s interest in you 2

“I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.” Psalms 82:6

God created all of us, but we are not all His children. God wants you to be His child. It is an expression of His love towards you. Unfortunately, not everyone has received this love. Some people have consciously accepted the fatherhood of the devil because they have been deceived. Some thought they can sit on the fence while some thought relating with God is a religious matter. But, they too have been deceived. God is interested in a personal relationship with you as a Father to His child.

“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.” 1 John 3:1

“For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.” Romans 8:29

Jesus Christ is the key for the world to receive the Fatherhood of God and become His children. This is not a religious matter, it is an encounter matter. It is a revelation matter. Jesus in the flesh is the firstborn in the family of God’s sons and daughters. Your personal encounter with Jesus opens your life to the wealth of God as your Father.

May your life be lived as a Child of God in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, manifest as my Father in Jesus name.

God’s interest in you 1

“What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?” Psalms 8:4

God is mindful of you. God wants to visit you. He is always knocking on the door of your heart. Why would the almighty be so interested in a mere mortal man? He definitely does not want any to perish, neither does He want you to die like a mere man. God seeks to impart His divinity to humanity. He seeks to make a “god” out of a “man.”

“I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.” Psalms 82:6

“Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.” 2 Corinthians 5:20

“Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms;” Jeremiah 51:20

“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?” 1 Corinthians 6:19

God is interested that every man should be His child, His Ambassador, His battle axe, and His body. We will look at each of these in the next four days. Now you need to know that all you need is your willingness and obedience for God to do great things with your life.

I see you manifesting glory in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, do great things with my life in Jesus name.

Becoming God’s preference

“But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.” 1 Samuel 16:7

God rejected Eliab, but preferred and chose David. God said He rejected Eliab because of his heart, and yet He chose David because of his heart. David was a man after God’s own heart (1 Sam 13:14; Acts 13:22). What should be in the heart of a man that will make God prefer him? One key thing you would find in David’s heart was humility. He totally depended on God, worked in obedience,  and would not even fight any battle without God. He cried to God, “Take not your Holy Spirit from me” when he sinned.

“But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.” James 4:6

“I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him: With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him.” Psalms 89:20-21

“And Samuel said, When thou wast little in thine own sight, wast thou not made the head of the tribes of Israel, and the Lord anointed thee king over Israel?” 1 Samuel 15:17

Even Saul was chosen when humility was found in his heart and consequently rejected when pride replaced humility in his heart. Our Lord Jesus also possessed the spirit of humility (Philippians 2:8). He spent quality time with God daily because He never did anything on His own. If you want God to prefer you, ask Him to give you the spirit of humility and walk in humility.

May humility be found in your heart in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, give me the spirit of humility in Jesus name.

Be committed to a good cause

“Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:” Ac 26:19

What is the vision you are living for? What is the cause you are committed to? You must live for something if you don’t want to die for nothing. The only thing that will stand you out in this world is the cause you are committed to. Have a vision for your life and destiny. If you don’t have your own, join someone who has and be committed to it. After all, the disciples only had to follow Jesus to make their lives count. In any case, be committed to a good cause.

“For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” Philippians 1:21

“And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence.” Colossians 1:18

Now to be committed to Jesus Christ is a good cause. The Church is the body of Christ, you cannot claim to be committed to Jesus without a commitment to the Church. What is your impact on the Church you are attending? If Jesus should reward you now, what would you get? Review your commitment to the Church you attend and make up your mind to contribute in a positive way. Give, serve, get involved; this is a good cause.

May your life count now and in eternity in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, make me a practical instrument for You, use me in Jesus name.

Let us go back to church

“I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the Lord.” Psalms 122:1

Can online churches replace the physical church? I don’t think so. The online church may give you the knowledge, but will never give the impartation, room for service, pastoral contact, and true fellowship you need for your destiny. The online church will not conduct your marriage, name your child, or provide the physical touch you may need. Even if your church has an online presence, it is not meant to keep you from physical church, but to reach out to unchurched and to help you if for any serious reason you could not make it to church. It is important for you to belong and be committed in a local physical church if you are serious with your life as a Christian.

“Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.” Proverbs 27:17

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” Hebrews 10:25

Worshipping together, praying together, studying the bible together, serving together, bearing each other burdens as we focused on heavenly Jerusalem and earthily impacts, are what you get if you belong to a local church. As you read this message, may I ask you, who is your Pastor?

May you have a personal understanding of the importance of the physical church in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, guide me in all matters of my life and destiny in Jesus name.

The secret of Daniel 5

“In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks. I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.” Daniel 10:2-3

Daniel included fasting in his way of living. Jesus taught us that we should fast regularly. I believe strongly that you must conquer both your appetite and your belly, if you want the kind of light that Daniel had. I also believe that there are certain spiritual heights you cannot attain if food has conquered you. You can always build strong faith for your breakthrough by regularly consecrating a fast unto the Lord.

“Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body.” 1 Corinthians 6:13

“Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.” Matthew 17:21

Now you need to know that fasting cannot stand alone, you must add a tangible time of prayer when you fast. Fasting actually opens you to spiritual realms, both of light and darkness. It is important for you to have a clear goal and to pray in the name of Jesus when you fast.

May you conquer your belly in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I take authority over my flesh and I receive the fullness of God’s Spirit for my breakthrough in Jesus name.

The secret of Daniel 4

“Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.” Daniel 6:10

Daniel was one of the three presidents of the world in his time, but he was praying three times a day. He was the first among the three. He had the light of God in him. You cannot claim to be too busy if you want the kind of light that Daniel had. You are not even in a position of authority yet, but to pray 30 minutes in a day is a problem. You will rather spend hours on other things than praying. Wake up, you cannot make it without the light of God in you.

“And he withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed.” Luke 5:16

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33

If you are struggling with some things right now, invest at least 2hours 30 minutes in prayer every day. This is approximately a tithe of a day. Don’t pray for things but ask for the wisdom and the power of God, ask that the light of God should enter you. If you make it a habit, you will see the situation changing, and eventually, there will be a major breakthrough. It does not matter how difficult or impossible the situation is, you will have divine intervention.

May you carry the presence of God in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, give me the grace to pray through for my destiny in Jesus name.

The secret of Daniel 3

“In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books …….” Daniel 9:5

Daniel was given to studying the scriptures. He studied the Prophets that were ahead of him. He must have also studied the Pentateuch and the Chronicles. Today, we have access to both old and new testaments. Peter quoted the Psalms. Stephen recounted the whole old testament in less than a chapter. Our Lord Jesus also quoted from the old testament. If you desire the light, you must also study and meditate on the scriptures.

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Joshua 1:8

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17

The light of the scriptures in you is the wisdom of God in you. This is the wisdom the world cannot resist. This is the light that darkness cannot withstand. This is what you need to walk in success and in prosperity. All answers to human problems are found in the scriptures. Follow the path of the scriptures and you will never walk in darkness.

May you have a full understanding of the scriptures in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, give me the grace to study the scriptures daily in Jesus name.

The secret of Daniel 2

“But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.” Daniel 1:8

Daniel was consecrated unto God. He refused to defile himself because of God. He consciously rejected anything that is not of God. This was also one of the secrets of Joseph, who would not sin against God, whether in the secret or in the open (Gen 39:9). You must move from God’s consciousness to God’s ownership if you desire the kind of light that Daniel had in him. If you want all of God, you cannot live anyhow. You must live to please God no matter your present situation. If you do, you will gain the light that will change the situation.

“There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?”

“Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.” 2 Corinthians 6:17-18

Do not be carried away by your present situation. Stop looking for excuses or justification to do what is not pleasing unto God. The enemy knows that if you are consecrated unto God, he cannot defeat you. This is because God will own you, guide and guard you, and give you the light you need for your destiny.

May you be God’s vessel unto honor in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, I consecrate and dedicate myself unto You afresh in Jesus name.

The secret of Daniel 1

“There is a man in thy kingdom, in whom is the spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of thy father light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, was found in him; whom the king Nebuchadnezzar thy father, the king, I say, thy father, made master of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, and soothsayers;” Daniel 5:11

Light, understanding, and wisdom like the wisdom of the gods, was found in Daniel. How did he get this? He was consecrated unto God, he meditated on the scriptures, prayed three times a day, and fasted often. You cannot do this and still have darkness (ignorance) in you. You cannot do this and not dominate on earth. You cannot do this and not have the light you need to change your world. Daniel was the New Testament believer in the Old Testament. He had the Holy Spirit and saw Jesus. We the present-day believers need to operate on the same level of light and beyond.

“But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat…….” Daniel 1:8

“In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books …….” Daniel 9:5

“Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.” Daniel 6:10

“In those days I Daniel was mourning three full weeks. I ate no pleasant bread, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, neither did I anoint myself at all, till three whole weeks were fulfilled.” Daniel 10:2-3

We shall look into each of these in the next four days.

Your week is blessed in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, let your light enter into me in Jesus name.

Light in your mind

“In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” 2 Corinthians 4:4

The greatest attack on your life is the attack on your mind. A dark mind is a dark life. A dark mind is a blinded mind. A blinded mind is a stagnant life. Opportunities are identified by the eyes of the mind. You need light in your mind to fulfill your destiny. Your salvation, sound health, and prosperity depend on the light in your mind. Your mind must be enlightened for you to access the inheritance of the saints.

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” 3 John 1:3

“The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,” Ephesians 1:18

You must kill the ignorance that the devil planted in you (Eph 4:18). You must turn to the Lord to remove the veil the enemy put on your mind (2 Cor 3:15-16). You must watch and listen to messages that bring light to your mind. You must meditate on the word of God and read books that will help you with information on salvation, sound health, and prosperity.

Let every ignorance in you die in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, enlighten the eyes of my understanding in Jesus name.

Lord save me!

“But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.” Mathew 14:30

When your faith is weak, and doubt has set in. When the storm is raging and fear has come over you, pray this simple prayer, “Lord, save me.” God is not only willing to save us from our sins. He is also willing to save us from our troubles.

“And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.” Psalm 50:15

“And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.” Acts 16:25-26

You don’t really need to do anything wrong before the trouble comes. When you are on the Lord’s side, the enemy may want to know how much you trust your God. The enemy may also be angry because you are doing damage to his work as he became angry with Paul and Silas. Also, you will likely handle trouble when your level is about to change as it was for Joseph in Potiphar’s house. A storm may also come because you are trying to do the impossible based on your faith in the Lord as it happened to Peter in our text. In all cases, don’t forget to ask the Lord to save you. Psalm 46:1 says, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Proverbs 18:10 says, “The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.”

And when He extends is His hand to save you, just take His hand and you will both walk through the trouble.

May your story turn to glory in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, save me from all my troubles in Jesus name.
