Mysteries of unanswered prayers 1

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:… If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?” Mathew 7:7-11

God has promised to answer your prayers. One of the things that makes Christianity exciting is getting answers to your prayers. Satan will be afraid of you, if he knows that you have the secrets of obtaining answers to your prayers. Getting results for yourself and for others through prayers is what makes Christianity distinct from any religion.

As a teenager, I prayed for many things, I got answers, and that built my faith in God. I visited one of my sisters several years ago. She shared with me that her husband attended an occasion and ate there. He came back home and stated complaining about stomach pains. The pain was bad; it was as if he was going to die. They rushed him to the hospital and the doctors said he had stones in his kidney. She and her husband prayed and that was the end of the attack. I have obtained answers to many requests, some instantly and some after a very long time. There are some requests I am still believing God for. In the next few days, I will be sharing with you some of the reasons why a believer can have his or her prayers unanswered.

May your prayers be answered on a daily basis in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God usher me into a lifestyle of prayers with results and testimonies in Jesus name.

Violent faith

“And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.” Mathew 11:12
“And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?” Luke 18:7

Violence and aggression against fellow human being(s) is misplaced. You have only one enemy, satan. You have only one kingdom to uproot, the kingdom of darkness. All that have to do with the WILL of God is expressed as the kingdom of heaven. God’s will is that His kingdom be established on earth and specifically in your personal life. Jesus said in Luke 11:20, “But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you.” It takes violent faith to establish the kingdom.

Beloved, if it is in the WILL of God, it must be in your life. If it is not in the WILL, it must not be found in your life. Violent faith is expressed by aggressive prayers. Violent faith is expressed by praying day and night. Violent faith is expressed by stopping the activity of satan and his kingdom in your territory. Violent faith is expressed by casting devils out and establishing the WILL of God. The real weakness in Christianity is the weakness of faith. When faith is present, results are inevitable.

May you receive divine aggression in your spirit to enforce the will of God for your life. May your stolen territories be recovered. May your enemy surrender in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God baptize me with the spirit of faith to take what belongs to me in Jesus name.

Take God by His word

“I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name” Psalm 138:2
“Produce your cause, saith the LORD; bring forth your strong reasons, saith the King of Jacob.” Isaiah 41:21

The best reason you can give God in prayer is His word. His word is His will. The answers are guaranteed if one prays according to God’s will. 1 John 5:14-15 says, “And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:  And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”

When you have a word of God concerning any situation, you can use the word in prayer to change the situation. It is just like the court of law, when a lawyer presents his argument based on the written laws. You will always win in prayer if you get your prayer points from God’s word. That is what I called praying from the answers. You can always study the word to find out what God is saying or ask God to reveal to you His mind concerning a situation. Then you can boldly approach the throne of grace to obtain mercy. Nothing can stop a prayer based on the word.

May your prayers be answered always in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh god reveal to me your will concerning my situation and help me to pray accordingly  in Jesus name.

Maintain your winning strategy

“Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime.” Daniel 6:10

Never drop your winning strategy. You can improve on it but don’t drop it. Particularly if your strategy is centered on God, don’t drop it. Devil will want you to drop it that so that he can get you down. Learn to abide with God come what may.

Daniel was brilliant (Daniel 1:4) but that was not the reason behind his success. The first reason was that he was committed to pleasing God (Daniel 1:8). The second reason was that he prayed three times daily so God released His spirit into him (Daniel 5:11-12). The enemy wanted to bring him down and they knew that they would be able do it only if they could get him out of his winning strategy (Daniel 6:5). Daniel did not stop praying even when the punishment for praying was that the person would be thrown into the Lion’s den.

Whatever you have been doing to bring God’s favor into your life, don’t drop it no matter the attempt of the enemy to stop you.

May the blessing and favor of God continue with you in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I receive grace to maintain my winning strategy in Jesus name.

Emotion or Instruction?

“He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live.” Proverbs 4:4

What informed your decisions, emotion or instruction? Emotion is easy but success results are not predictable. Instructions are difficult but success results are predictable. Make decisions based on instructions. It is detrimental to be sentimental.

“I feel like” can be good if it is checked based on knowledge.  However, emotion is powerful. Anyone who gets your emotion has gotten you. Samson lost control when Delilah played on his emotion. He fell cheaply.
“And Delilah said unto Samson, Behold, thou hast mocked me, and told me lies: now tell me, I pray thee, wherewith thou mightest be bound.” Judges 16:1

Now you will be confronted with many decisions in life. Decisions that will not only affect you but also people that matter to you. You cannot run those based on emotion. You must acquire adequate knowledge and keep your emotion in control. Decisions about who you will be with for the rest of your life. Decisions on where you will live or what job you will do. Decisions to commit sin or not. Decisions to do wrong or to do good. Our text today says, “instructions will give you life.”

May you be protected from wrong decisions; may you be passionate for instruction in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I put my emotion under control; I receive instructions for quality decisions in Jesus name.

Where is your perception?

And, lo, I perceived that God had not sent him; but that he pronounced this prophecy against me: for Tobiah and Sanballat had hired him.” Nehemiah 6:12

You will sure need strong and accurate perception to finish well in this end time as a Christian. You will meet different kinds of people in your journey. Some will come to deceive you and take you away from your God given assignment while some will come to help you fulfill them.  If you can perceive correctly, you will not have trouble identifying and working with the right people.

Our text this morning was the statement of Nehemiah when Shemaiah who was described as a secret informer came to prophesy to him that he should go into hiding because the enemy would come and kill him. Nehemiah quickly perceived that Shemaiah had been hired by the enemy so that the work could be stopped.  In 2 kings 4, the Shunamite woman perceived that Elisha was a Man of God. That was the perception that took her out of the company of the barren.

“And she said unto her husband, Behold now, I perceive that this is an holy man of God, which passeth by us continually.” 2 Kings 4:9

Strong perception comes from a strong commitment to something. Then the enemy will be exposed when he comes to you disguised as a friend. Strong perception is developed by a deep understanding of your assignment. Strong perception is developed by adequate fellowship with God through prayer and His word.

May you never be in the dark concerning the people that surround you in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, help me to identify the right people you have sent my way in Jesus name.

This promise must not slip

“That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises” Hebrews 6:12

When you have a promise from God, you cannot just go and sleep. Many Christians are experiencing unfulfilled promises because they are expecting the fulfilment to fall on their laps. You must not be lazy in handling the promises, you must use your faith and walk in patience. Faith is a fight and faith is a force. Mathew 11:12 says, “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.” Patience is an indicator of accommodating the time it takes for the fulfilment to come.

You must act on what you believe for your faith to be complete. You can believe forever but if you don’t act on your belief you may not see it. When you have a promise, you must believe it, declare it, pray it through and obtain it. Your enemy does not want you to obtain it, that is why you must be aggressive and not give up until you have all that God has promised you.

“Then said he unto me, Fear not, Daniel: for from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words. But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days: but, lo, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia.” Daniel 10:12-13

The fulfilment of most people is hanging there with the territorial spirit in the second heaven and needs to be released. The good thing is that you can always release it when you apply your aggressive faith and break the power of the enemy on the promise.

You are moving from disappointment into fulfilment in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I break the power of the devil over what belongs to me in Jesus name.

Can prayer be too much?

“And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.” Mark 1:35

If you are in a Christian, prayer must be a daily and consistent part of your life. Prayer cannot take the place of right action but prayer is a right action that can help you find the right actions and empower you to take them. In the place of prayer, you get two major things that lead into breakthrough. You get impartation and revelation. Impartation brings an aura of favor and power upon you while revelation gives you answers to your questions. You cannot do without either of the two as a Christian in this wicked world.

Beloved, Jesus Christ, the word of God incarnate lived a life of prayer. You cannot make it in this endtime without having a life soaked in prayer. Anyone who says you are praying too much is an enemy of first, your destiny, second, your future and third, your Christian life. Jesus said when you are praying day and night, you are showing faith (Luke 18:7-8) and you know what, the just shall live by faith. Prayer empowers you to live. Daniel prayed three times every day he became a god in his generation (Daniel 5:11-12)

Beloved, pray until something happens, when something happens, pray until another thing happens. Prayer is as important as your daily food. Make up your mind to live a life of prayer then your destiny fulfilment is guaranteed.

I see God doing great and unusual things through you in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, do whatever you want with my life in Jesus name.

Don’t do this on your own!

“Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.” 1 Samuel 17:5

The least of God’s strength is stronger than the greatest of a man’s strength. Walking with God allow you to access His strength and make you look stronger than you are. Since I discovered this, I always pray as if I will not work and I work as if I have not prayed. Men have many weaknesses but when you have God, your weaknesses do not matter. Beloved, stop doing things on your own! When you are dealing with things with the assurance of God with you, all fear is taken away.

You must know that David was skillful at using stone and slings. He truly had killed a Lion and a bear. But, realistically speaking, those experiences could not be compared with fighting Goliath. He could not fight Goliath alone and he knew it. I put it this way, God took care of Goliath through David because God choose the weak things to shame the strong.

Beloved, stop confronting the day on your own, pray through the day before it comes. Pray until you are convince that God has taken care of it and then you will not have to confront anything on your own. Jesus had the practice of praying either into the late night or very early in the morning.

I see God helping you out in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I confront my Goliath and mountains in the name of the Lord of hosts.

God has a word for you

“He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions:” Psalms 107:20
“The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed.” Mathew 8:8

God’s intervention in the affairs of men still remain the same, His word. One word from the Lord will change your life forever.

We are in a world driven by information. Lack of information can make a man stagnant, keep in in trouble and eventually destroy him. Information accessed but not used is the same as lack of information. Information has power to impart boldness and change the life of its users. The best information you can have is the word of God. If you access a word from the Lord, it brings you healing, deliverance and more importantly the miracle you need.

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Joshua 1:8
“And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.” Luke 5:5-6

Every situation that you have found yourself needs a word. Meditate on relevant scriptures, ask for access into the mysteries of God’s word, take the word that comes to you and experience your miracle.

Hear the word of the Lord: it is well with your soul in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, let the secret of your word dwell in my tabernacle in Jesus name.

The mindset of a victorious saint

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:” Philippians 2:5
“What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:37

A victorious saint is conscious of the fact that God is for him, and so no one, no situation, no power can be against him. He carries a winner mentality in every situation that he finds himself. He is conscious of the finished work of Christ, the defeated devil and the power of the Holy Spirit. Because of this mindset, he knows that either way in every situation, he wins. He knows that whatever is against him is against God and whatever is against God has lost.

Because of this mindset, he says no to sin, he binds the devil and cast him out, he is bold in prayer, he is confident of the mercy of God to obtain favour, he makes bold declaration and take territories.

David, a seventeen year old inexperience but anointed is a good example of a saint with a victory mindset.
He went after Goliath because of his consciousness of the presence of God within and without him. “Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. This day will the Lord deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel.” 1 Samuel 17:45-46

Beloved, it does not matter what it looks like, you cannot be defeated because you are a child of God. Approach whatever you are going through with this mindset. For as a man thinks in heart so is he (Proverbs 23:7a)

Prayer for today: I have the mind of Christ, I am victorious in every situation in Jesus name.

How the work of the cross is diminished

“Since you died with Christ to the elemental spiritual forces of this world, why, as though you still belonged to the world, do you submit to its rules:” Collosians 2:20 (NIV)

Nothing pleases the devil more than for a child of God to still live in sin, sickness, poverty, curses and evil covenants. The devil knows that it was finished on the cross. These issues were dealt with on the cross. When a child of God refuses to enforce the finished work of the cross, the devil is happy. He knows that such a Christian is making the work of the cross of no effect.

I tell you devil will not just work away, he will want to know first, if you really understand your position in Christ and secondly if you can appropriate the finished work on the cross. He will throw all manner of things against you. But you must be bold and reject whatever is not part of the covenant in your life. Reject sin, affliction, sickness, poverty, retrogressing, curses, demonic covenants and such things like that. God is happy to see the victorious saint putting the devil where he belongs.

“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” 1 John 5:4
“We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;” 2 Corinthians 4:13

Beloved, Jesus set you free on the cross, you cannot be bound. Enforce the victory given to you at the cross by believing and declaring it until you see results that is commensurate with the finished work of the cross.

Prayer for today: I enforce my victory in every area of my life in Jesus name.

Dealing with the horns 5

And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. …” Acts 12:3
“And it came to pass after this, that Benhadad king of Syria gathered all his host, and went up, and besieged Samaria.” 2 Kings 6:24

The fourth horn you must deal with is the horn of demonic strongmen. Child of God, never allow any demonic strongman to operate in your life. Jesus told us what to do about him, you must bind him and take what belongs to you.

“Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.” Matthew 12:29

These personalities are scatterers, robbers, afflicters and destroyers. They are responsible for failure at the edge of breakthrough, inexplainable poverty and sickness, untimely death, stagnancy and retrogression. Lifting becomes impossible if the strongman that is against you is stronger than you. If you don’t deal with the strongman, he will deal with you. Strongman within is always more terrible than strongman without.

A strongman is like Herod who killed Judah and proceeded to arrest Peter also. They are killers and arresters of good thing. If the church had not prayed, Peter also would have been killed. Strongman is like Benhadad who besieged Samaria and caused famine there. The good things is that you can pray your way through and get rid of the strongman operating against you. You can get into a prayer of agreement. You can get anointed and forbid the operation of any strongman in your life.

I declare that the strongman operating against you is defeated permanently in Jesus name

Prayer for today: I bind the strongman and recover everything that belongs to me in Jesus name.

Dealing with the horns 4

“And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray thee, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord seeth: but the water is naught, and the ground barren.” 2 Kings 2:19
“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:” Galatians 3:13

The third horn you must deal with is the horn of curses. Let me quickly say this, Jesus dealt with the issues of curses and covenants as part of the finished work on the cross. As a child of God, all you need to do is to enforce the finished work of Christ and walk in obedience in order to walk in the blessing. The things of the spirit are enforced by faith. First by believing and secondly by declaring.

“We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;” 2 Corinthians 4:13
“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.” 2 Corinthians 10:4-6

Curses empower a man to fail. Curses reduce a man. Curses make something beautiful to look ugly. Curses prevent a man from lifting up his head. As a child of God, when you see a symptom of a curse in your life, you must know that it is not legal. You must be bold to cast it out of your life and check your life if you are walking in obedience or not.

Prayer for today: Because of the finished work of Christ on the cross, I refuse to be bound by any form of curses in Jesus name.

Dealing with the horns 3

“For it shall be, that on the day thou goest out, and passest over the brook Kidron, thou shalt know for certain that thou shalt surely die: thy blood shall be upon thine own head.” 1 Kings 2:37

The second horn you must deal with is the horn of evil covenant. This includes evil dedication, evil agreement, unknown commitment and such. If you are under a known evil covenant, you only need to find out what to do to break it. But, if the covenant is hidden and unknown, there is a serious problem. Many today are struggling with many problems because they are under covenants that are hidden from them. The man is our text this morning was in agreement to die if he sought for prosperity outside his city.

The problem is that this horn permits an unknown personality to operate in the victim’s life with or without his or her agreement. So the personality is laying claim over its victim, demanding sacrifices, stealing his or her jobs, marriage, spouse, children, money, blessing and in extreme cases may take the victim’s life. If the victim wants to experience a promotion or lifting, something mysterious will happen; he will either be uprooted from the job, become sickly or even die.

If you have been observing mysterious demotion, unusual failure, acidic poverty, consistent wrong decisions and mistakes, unusual delay in answer to prayers and such, you may need to deal with this horn. The first thing you must do is to pray to know the secret. The second thing you must do after knowing the secret is to pray to know the solution. The third thing you must do is to engage someone anointed to help you. Lastly do whatever God reveals to you.

May the horn preventing your lifting be permanently destroyed in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh Lord show me the secret behind the problem of my life and the way out in Jesus name.

Dealing with the horns 2

“The labour of the foolish wearieth every one of them, because he knoweth not how to go to the city.” Ecclesiastes 10:15

The first horn you must deal with is the horn of ignorance. The truth is that when you are ignorant, you don’t need any enemy to scatter your work, you will scatter it by yourself. No matter how hardworking a man is, if he does not have adequate knowledge about what he is doing, he cannot be lifted. Getting results become very hard when a man is ignorant. Being ignorant is similar to being blind.

To deal with this horn you must be aggressive for knowledge like Bartimaeus. When Bartimaeus found out the answer to his blindness, he aggressively went after it.
“And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.  And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me.” Mark 10:47-48.
Anything you want to do, get adequate knowledge about it. Read books. Have mentors who are knowledgeable and are willing to share. Keep company of friends who love knowledge. Go back to school. With all your strength, kill the horn of ignorant in your life.

Spiritual ignorant is worse.  The enemy will finish you without you knowing if you are spiritually ignorant. Spend time with God and His word, let the secret of your enemy be exposed. Let God teach you what to do to defeat the gate of hell that is set to frustrate your effort.

May your eyes be opened. May the horn of physical and spiritual ignorance be destroyed in your life in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I destroy the horn of ignorance in my life in Jesus name.

Dealing with the horns 1

“Then said I, What come these to do? And he spake, saying, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, so that no man did lift up his head: but these are come to fray them, to cast out the horns of the Gentiles, which lifted up their horn over the land of Judah to scatter it.” Zechariah 1:21

The presence of these horns means no growth, no lifting, scattering of work and efforts, and consequently frustration. They must be dealt with. If you observe that when you start building something may be a business, a ministry, a career or even a family, something always happen suddenly  to scatter it and you have to start all over, there are horns to be dealt with. The horns set boundaries and limitations. The horns forbid lifting and shining.

The bible identified four horns.  I will also classify the horns into four categories. The horn of ignorance, the horn of evil covenants, the horn of curses and the horn of demonic strongmen. I will deal with each of these horns in my subsequent daily messages.

“The labour of the foolish wearieth every one of them, because he knoweth not how to go to the city.” Ecclesiastes 10:15
“For it shall be, that on the day thou goest out, and passest over the brook Kidron, thou shalt know for certain that thou shalt surely die: thy blood shall be upon thine own head.” 1 Kings 2:37
“And the men of the city said unto Elisha, Behold, I pray thee, the situation of this city is pleasant, as my lord seeth: but the water is naught, and the ground barren.” 2 Kings 2:19
“And it came to pass after this, that Benhadad king of Syria gathered all his host, and went up, and besieged Samaria.” 2 Kings 6:24

I enforce your lifting in Jesus name. You are arising and you are shinning in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I destroy the horns that are scattering my work, I destroy the horns that do not want me to lift up my head in life in Jesus name.

Woman, why weepest thou?

“Jesus saith unto her, Woman, why weepest thou? whom seekest thou? She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence, tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will take him away.” John 10:15

Last Sunday was the mother’s day. For every woman who is presently weeping because she seeks motherhood, the Lord is saying to you weep no more. I decree that the gate of motherhood is open for you in Jesus name. For every woman who is weeping because of the pain of seeking a caring husband or a loving child, weep no more because your joy shall be full.

Jesus knows your pain, dear mother and aspiring mother. He knows your weeping particularly when you seek something that is important to your heart and it seems it has been taken by the enemy. He is available to provide and restore what you seek. He is available to respond to your need. He said in Psalm 30:5, “weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.” The night of weeping is over. The morning of joy is here. Whatever is holding what you seek shall forcefully release it. Only believe, turn to the Lord and do whatever He tells you to do.

Mothers, stop weeping, your joy is now in Jesus name. Happy mother’s day.

Prayer for today: The night of my weeping is over, the morning of my joy has come in Jesus name.

Conquering wickedness

“How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” Acts 10:38

The highest form of evil is wickedness. Someone who stole a man’s book has done evil but the one who stole his brain is operating wickedness. Wickedness involves the use of power of darkness to enforce evil. You need the power of God to uproot wickedness and conquer it.

When a sickness is caused by bacteria, an antibiotic can deal with it. But, if it is caused by a demon, only the anointing can take care of that. We have had to deal with many situations like that in the work of the ministry. Sometimes ago, a young man was brought to the church with a stiff neck. Medical test said nothing was wrong with him but his neck was immovable. We prayed and released the neck. I have seen someone whose business was stolen spiritually and the more she was making money, the more she was going down in debt.

“And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.”

Beloved, wickedness is real and so is oppression but the power of God is more real and can subdue all form of wickedness. May the wickedness that is against you be terminated. May the habitation of wickedness that is against you become desolate in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God anoint me, let my burden be removed and let my yoke be destroyed in Jesus name.

Conquering evil

“Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.” Romans 12:21

Good attracts good, evil attracts evil. If you want to conquer evil, you must reject his children. His children include envy, strive, hatred, unforgiveness, and revenge.

“For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.” James 3:16
“Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.”1 John 3:15
“And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.” Mark 11:25
“Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.” Romans 12:19

The only force that conquers evil is good. Never change your good way because of evil that anyone has done against you. Good attracts good and conquers evil. But evil attracts evil. Proverbs 17:13 says, “Whoso rewardeth evil for good, evil shall not depart from his house.”

May evil be far from you. May you conquer evil with good in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I walk in good and I conquer evil in Jesus name.

Grace at work 5

“As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.” 1 Peter 4:10

Grace is a gift and it comes with a package of gifts. When you encounter this grace, it brings unusual power from within to get results. It empowers you to turn a failure situation to success situation.

“And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake.” Luke 5:5-6
“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” John 14:12

This grace is stronger than your natural gift or talent. It is supernatural and it is accessed through a definite encounter with the Lord Jesus. Note that Peter was a talented fisherman but yet he failed. But when he encountered this grace, he got a breakthrough he had never gotten in his entire life. Beloved, if you are tired of failure and low levels, spend time with Jesus until you receive this grace and you know it. Greater work is only available through this grace.

May your failure turn to success in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, give me the grace to do greater work with my life in Jesus name.

Grace at work 4

“And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9

When grace is at work in your life, you keep standing during the dark hour. Beloved, there is a dark hour. This is the hour when your prayers seem to be unanswered. It is the hour  when your hope seems delayed. It is the hour whereby despite all efforts, nothing seems to work. In such hour, you need grace to keep standing. You must keep on doing what you are doing until the hour is over. It is not that anything is wrong with you, it is just that the hour is dark and you will only see results when it is passed.

“When I was daily with you in the temple, ye stretched forth no hands against me: but this is your hour, and the power of darkness.” Luke 22:53
“Then spake the chief butler unto Pharaoh, saying, I do remember my faults this day:” Genesis 41:9

Jesus could not do anything to stop the people from mocking and eventually killing him. Why? It was the dark hour but grace was available for Him. The Chief butler who Joseph told to help him, did not remember Joseph for two years. Why? It was the dark hour, but sufficient grace was available for Joseph to keep standing. This kind of hour is like a man who has put a seed in the ground. Until the process of time is complete, he will not see fruit. But, he must receive grace to keep watering the seed until the dark hour is over.

May be you are going through such a time right now, it will soon be over. The grace of God shall sustain you in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, give me grace to keep standing in the faith during my dark hour in Jesus name.

Grace at work 3

“For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.” Romans 6:14

When grace is at work in your life, you do not only receive forgiveness of sin, you also receive power to leave sin alone. Grace is the only answer to sin issue. When grace takes over your life, you revolt against sin without struggle. Grace moves the law from the without into the within of a saved man.

“This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.” Hebrews 10:16-17

There is a great change when a man surrenders to grace and give his heart to the Lord. He no longer lives to please the life of sin, but to please God. He experiences deliverance from sin from within, which empowers him to deal with sin without. Paul wrote after his salvation experience in 1 Timothy 1:15, “This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.”

May grace dominate your life in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Let grace be in operation in my life to live above sin in Jesus name.

Grace at work 2

“But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me.” 1 Corinthians 15:10

When grace is at work in your life, you work hard without feeling it or complaining about it. When grace is not taken in vain, hard work is a necessity. If God has given you grace to do something begin to do it.

“And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.” Mathew 9:35
“Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him.” Genesis 26:12

Jesus Christ our Lord, had grace without measure to teach, preach and heal. So He went about the cities and villages doing what He had been graced to do. He worked hard at it. Isaac was given grace to do the work of farming in Gerar, so he began to sow in the land. If you have been given grace to do business, start one. If you have been given the grace to write, start writing. If you have been given the grace to do ministry, start doing it. Whatever you have been given the grace to do, start doing it and work hard at it.

May grace be evident in your life through hard work. May you not take the grace of God in vain your life in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Because grace is at work in my life, I shall not be slothful in my business in Jesus name.

Grace at work 1

“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16

When grace is at work in your life, you experience timely mercy and timely help. Timely mercy makes judgment to lose its power, protocols to be suspended and laws to be set aside. Timely help makes promotion, lifting, enlargement available without struggle.

“And it was so, when the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, that she obtained favour in his sight: and the king held out to Esther the golden sceptre that was in his hand. So Esther drew near, and touched the top of the sceptre.” Esther 5:2
“And he made in Jerusalem engines, invented by cunning men, to be on the towers and upon the bulwarks, to shoot arrows and great stones withal. And his name spread far abroad; for he was marvellously helped, till he was strong.” 2 Chronicles 26:15

Esther was not supposed to see the king when she was not asked to come. But, there was an urgent matter that needed an urgent attention. She and her people fasted and at her appearance before the king, the protocol was set aside. She obtained timely mercy. King Uzziah became great and successful. He broke many records, invented engines including the first machine gun because he was marvelously helped. I see favor at work in your life, bringing you a change of story in Jesus name.

May you experience timely mercy and timely help every day of your life in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I call into my life and destiny timely mercy and timely help in Jesus name.

Grace can be imparted

“And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace..” John 1:16
“And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Mathew 4:19

Mentoring is spiritual. It brings transfer of grace if you understand it. If you follow any man, you have access to the grace he carries.

Jesus carried grace without limits. If you are born again, you have received a saving grace. If you grow in the knowledge of Jesus, you will receive grace to walk on earth like Jesus did. Jesus said, follow me and I will make you like me, a fisher of men. Peter failed at fishing, but when he followed Jesus, he became one of the greatest fishers of men (Luke 5). Your story of failure does not matter, if you follow Jesus, He will make a success out of you. Similarly, if you have found a man that carries the grace you desire, start following him. You can do this by listening to him and sowing into his life.

May grace be imparted upon you.

Prayer for today: Oh God, give me grace to be who you want me to be in Jesus name.
