Fruitful living 2

" If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:" Isaiah 1:19

Your willingness must drive you to obedience if you desire a fruitful living. The question is obedience to what? The first is obedience to God and His words. The second is obedience to your mentor whether direct or proxy. The third is your response to the information available to you. I will talk about obedience to God today.

“And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:” Deuteronomy 28:1
“And the Lord shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.” Isaiah 58:11
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Some Christians are only interested in God’s promises and not God’s instructions. The truth is that if you respond positively to God’s instructions devil will not have room in your life and your life will be fruitful. You are not under any curse as a Christian but if you continually disobey God, devil will not allow the blessing to rest on you.  The scripture advise us not to give room to the devil so that he will not get an advantage over us (Ephesians 4:27; 2 Cor 2:11). When you yield to God’s instructions, He will continually guide you and your life will be fruitful.

May you walk in obedience to God’s instruction for your life in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God give me the grace to obey you at all times Jesus name.

Fruitful living 1

" If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:" Isaiah 1:19

Your will matters. You must be willing to live a fruitful life if you want to experience a fruitful life. The adage that if there is a will there will be a way is biblical. You must first be willing for this world to yield fruits for you. You must first be willing in order to receive help from God and man to make a fruitful living happens.

“And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.” Hebrews 11:15
“…….and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.” Genesis 11:6b

To will is to desire something and to act on that desire. What you don’t desire you don’t actually deserve. I don’t care what it looks like around you right now but I care to tell you that you can live a fruitful life despite all odds. You can achieve your goals if you are willing to do so. Willingness is not enough but it a prerequisite.

May your life be fruitful and profitable in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I will oh God for a fruitful and fulfilling life, help me in Jesus name.

Smart living

"Since a dull axe requires great strength, sharpen the blade. That's the value of wisdom; it helps you succeed." Ecc. 10:10 (New Living)

Wisdom will make a difference at all times. Imagine two persons assigned to two portions of land of the same size to clear. Both are given dull cutlasses to use. One of them thinks he has all the strength and starts working with the dull instrument while the other takes sometime out to go and sharpen the cutlass. I tell you the one with the sharpened instrument will come back, finish his work without struggle and leave the unwise colleague sweating it out.

The level of sweetness you experience on earth will be determined by the wisdom you carry. There is nothing you are going through which someone, somewhere has not gone through and overcome. That is why it is wise to give yourself to reading, particularly bible and books written by anointed men of God.

The time you take to develop yourself on the issues related to life and your chosen career is not wasted. The acquired wisdom will enable you to live and work smartly, bringing success without tears. It does not matter how people have described you or how it has been with you, get wisdom and success will come. If you have questions about life, get scriptures and books related to that area and prayerfully read and meditate on them. You will get revelation wisdom.

You will not be stranded in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God baptise me with the spirit of wisdom in Jesus name.

Say yes to God

“Now the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee…… So Abram departed, as the Lord had spoken unto him; Genesis 12:1-3

God’s instructions and promises are the greatest light in the midst of the thickest darkness. When that light appears, darkness cannot comprehend it. Your access to the light is granted totally by saying yes to these promises and instructions. Most times, you need faith sense and not common sense in order to respond positively to the light.

“And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.” Luke 1:38
“If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:” Isaiah 1:19

Common sense says seeing is believing. Faith sense says believing is seeing. If you are waiting to see before you believe, you may miss the best of God (John 20:29). But if you simply believe and say yes to God, He will bring you into His supernatural. Mary said yes to God, she became the channel through whom God manifested in the flesh. Abraham said yes to God, he became the father of faith and our access to God’s blessing (Galatians 3:14).

May you say yes to the promises and instructions of God for your life in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God do whatever you want with my life in Jesus name.

Dealing with life frustrations 4

“So the child grew and became strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his manifestation to Israel.” Luke 1:80 (NKJV)

When a man is in his season (time), he manifests without stress. His voice will be heard in the city. His skills and talents become well known and in high demand. He has passed the wilderness stage, the desert stage, the developmental stage, the test stage and his season of manifestation has come. May you not give up on your skills and talents before your time of manifestation. In Africa, it is frustrating and expensive to be looking for certain fruits outside their seasons but during their seasons, they are readily available.

“And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, THAT BRINGETH FORTH HIS FRUIT IN HIS SEASON; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” Psalms 1:3 (emphasis mine)
“And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.  But you shall receive power when…..” Act 1:7-8a

Beloved, I believe you are convinced that you are gifted and talented by now. As a gifted and talented person, you don’t actually need to worry about the time of your manifestation. You only need to keep on developing yourself, keep on praying, keep on using your talents and your time of manifestation shall come.

I see you arising and shinning in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God give me the grace to keep at it until the time of my manifestation  in Jesus name.

Dealing with life frustrations 3

And when the words were heard which David spake, they rehearsed them before Saul: and he sent for him.” 1 Samuel 17:31

People are needed to create opportunities for the use of your skills and talents. It is frustrating to have skills and talents and not have opportunities to use them. There are people who needs your talents, may you locate them. There are people who will help you announce your talents, may you be connected to them.

“And Saul said unto his servants, Provide me now a man that can play well, and bring him to me. Then answered one of the servants, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, that is cunning in playing, and a mighty valiant man, and a man of war, and prudent in matters, and a comely person, and the Lord is with him.” 1 Samuel 16:17-18
“Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.” John 1:45

In our text today, some people told Saul what David was saying and that was what gave him the opportunity to confront and kill Goliath. Similarly, it was a servant who had seen him played that introduced him when there was vacancy for an anointed harp player at the palace. Philip announced Jesus to Nathaniel. May you be announced where your skills are needed in Jesus name. May God plant right people around you in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I am coming out of obscurity and getting into the limelight in Jesus name.

Dealing with life frustrations 2

“And the Lord appeared unto him, and said, Go not down into Egypt; dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of:” Genesis 26:2

No matter how gifted and talented you are, you must stay where your gifts and talents are needed. It is frustrating to be wrongly located. Joseph’s gifts would have been wasted in his father’s house but for his brethren who sent him to Egypt where he was needed. A fish can only show her skills in water, if you put her on a tree, she will be frustrated. May you find the right location for your destiny.

“And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: but God was with him,  And delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house.” Acts 7:9-10
“And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” Psalms 1:3

Beloved, your location matters. The kind of apple you find in South Africa cannot be planted in Nigeria. The seed has potentials to bring profit but if it is not planted in the right location, it will fail. There is a place for you. If you are wrongly located, may God relocate you. May you be planted where you will flourish in Jesus name.

May you discern your place of shinning in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, plant my feet in the place where I will flourish in Jesus name.

Dealing with life frustrations 1

“Neglect not the gift that is in thee………..” 1 Timothy 4:14

Life is exciting when you are using your gifts/talents, in the right place, among the right people, at the right time. If any of these factors is neglected or not in place, it leads to frustration. Let me talk about the first point today: your gift. Never neglect your gift or talent for any reason. Your prosperity, joy, result, profit and reward is directly attached to your gifts and talents.

“A man's gift maketh room for him, and bringeth him before great men.” Proverbs 18:16
“Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed: And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.” Mathew 25:24-25

Have you ever watched a footballer or a singer and you wished you were as talented as him or her? The point is that you too are gifted and talented in something. If you want to deal with frustrations in this life, you must find that talent, develop it and use it. Never look down on your gift or your talent because you think it is not popular or it is substandard to that of others. Most people are frustrated because they are trying to be another person whereas they are great people in their own right.

May the grip of frustration be broken over your life in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Help me oh God to discover myself and to be who you want me to be in Jesus name.

Self encouragement

“…….but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God..” 1 Samuel 30:6

Whether you are pursuing a vision or you are facing a challenge, self-encouragement is needed to obtain a positive result. Encouragement means giving support, confidence or hope. Now if you are in the Lord, self encouragement becomes easy. Because you will be drawing the support, the strength and the hope from the Lord who can be trusted. The Lord can also bless you with faithful and committed people who will support you, but your trust must be in Him.

“Though an army encamp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war arise against me, yet I will be confident.” Psalms 27:3
“When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.” Isaiah 43:2
“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31

In our text today, David was facing a serious challenge. The enemy had taken his wives, children, properties and those of his soldiers. They have all cried and lost their strength as well. The people were blaming David and they wanted to stone in him as if that would brought back everything. But David encouraged himself in the Lord. He suddenly remembered that God could turn things around for him. He turned to God and was able to overcome the challenge.

Beloved, encourage yourself with this: God will see you through. Your dreams shall be realized. The present trouble shall not last because God is with you.
Prayer for today: Help me oh God in Jesus name.

Beware of company of doubters

“And when he was come in, he saith unto them, Why make ye this ado, and weep? the damsel is not dead, but sleepeth. And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he taketh the father and the mother of the damsel, and them that were with him, and entereth in where the damsel was lying.” Mark 13:30-31

You need people that will encourage your faith and not people that will cause you to doubt if you desire a major turnaround. It is easier to doubt if you keep the company of doubters. Your situation is not as bad as you think. I see a major turnaround coming to you this month in Jesus name.
“And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it. But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.” Numbers 13:30-31.

Choose a believing company and live! Our text is taken from the story of Jairus and his daughter. Jesus removed the company of doubters before He brought Jairus daughter back to life. Caleb encouraged the people to believe and take the promised land in Numbers 13 but the others except Joshua said it could not be done. Both groups got what they believed. The group that believed it could be done despite the presence of giants, got into the land. The people that did not believe did not get there.

May the company of doubters around you be dissolved in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Let my dry bones rise again in Jesus name.

No, never too late

“For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.” Ecclesiastes 9:4

As long as you are alive, nothing is too late. You can dream again, you can begin again, you can recover all, you can still be who God wants you to be. It does not matter how old you are or what color is your skin. It does not matter how many times you have failed. Your sex also does not matter. You can pick up from where you are and still make your mark in this challenging world.

“And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.” Luke 5:5
“And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother's womb, who never had walked: The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked..” Acts 14:8-10

Like the lame man in Lystra who had never walked in his life, it is possible that you have never succeeded in anything before. But let faith be birthed in you, there is a great future ahead of you since you are alive. Like Simon who failed through the night, the word of the Lord is coming to you, launch your net into the deep for a great catch. Out text today says, a dog can achieve better results than a Lion, if the dog is alive and the Lion is dead. No, it is never too late for you since you are still alive, do something now about your dreams and your visions.

Arise shine, for your light has come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.

Prayer for today: Visit me oh God for a total turnaround breakthrough in Jesus name.

Free indeed

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” John 8:32

Timely and adequate information is the key to total deliverance. If you are struggling with anything, it is an indication that you need more information. Information gives you light, light is the master of darkness at all times. Wrong information brings a man into bondage while the right information is the key to freedom.

“And a certain man found him, and, behold, he was wandering in the field: and the man asked him, saying, What seekest thou?” Genesis 37:15
“And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.” 2 Kings 2:10

Freedom from poverty, infirmity, sin, failure and such can only be secured by access to the truth. May you be granted access today in Jesus name. May your steps be ordered to meet someone who has the information you need. Study the word of God. Surround yourself with people who has the answer you are looking for. Study the work of those who have results in the area where you are struggling. Your freedom is just a light away, may you receive that light in Jesus name.

I decree that this week shall be profitable for you in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, let me be at the right place at the right time in Jesus name.

Pray through your dream

“Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.” Psalm 37:5
“Commit thy works unto the Lord, and thy thoughts shall be established.” Proverbs 6:3

Bring your dreams before the Lord in prayer until you have a confirmation of heaven’s backing on your dreams. When you pray through on anything, it becomes easy to achieve it. Before the birth of Jesus, Anna and Simon were praying (Luke 2:27, 36). God even engaged men in intercession for the prophecy of Jesus’s birth to come to pass.

“And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob. And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.” Genesis 32:26:28

The fulfilment of your dream will experience two kinds of barrier, spiritual first and then physical. When you prevail with God that is when you have spiritual breakthrough, it will be easy to have physical breakthrough and prevail with men. Joseph dreams of returning home became successful after he prayed through. Otherwise, he would have been wasted by Esau, who was coming to meet him with four hundred soldiers.

I see your spiritual and physical obstacles giving way for your dreams in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, clear the way for the fulfillment of my dreams in Jesus name.

Pursue your dream

“Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision,” Acts 26:19

It is exciting to have dreams or visions but the greatest excitement is fulfilling them. However, there is a long distance between having a dream and fulfilling it. You must pursue the dream.  You must go after the dream with all your heart, mind and strength to bring it to reality.

“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.” Hosea 4:6
“And as thy servant was busy here and there, he was gone. And the king of Israel said unto him, So shall thy judgment be; thyself hast decided it.” 1 kings 20:40

If you don’t do anything about the dream, it will die. There are factors that want to kill the dream at the infant stage. The first is lack of knowledge. You must be aggressive to know all you need to know about the dream in order to put down an executable plan to realize it. The second is lack of focus. You must pursue the dream with all your heart and strength to push through all barriers and see its fulfillment. The third is laziness. Do your plans; leave no stone untouched. Don’t forget to pray through your dream, anything you pray through you obtain.

I see you fulfilling your dreams in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Let my dreams become realities in Jesus name.

Avoid envy

“And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: but God was with him,” Acts 7:9

Avoid envy at all costs. Always appreciate someone who is doing well and God will visit you too. Envy is a negative force that moves someone to do something against another. It is emotional but it is negative and slowly destroys whosoever allows it in his or her life. When a man begins to feel that his neighbor has what he is supposed to have or is making progress more than him, he can become envious. At that point, he will stop working on his own progress and start wasting time to plot the fall of his neighbor.

“And they said one to another, Behold, this dreamer cometh. Come now therefore, and let us slay him, and cast him into some pit, and we will say, Some evil beast hath devoured him: and we shall see what will become of his dreams.” Genesis 37:19-20
“But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.” Genesis 50:20

Can you see what envy did to Joseph’s brother? They wanted to kill him because of his dreams. Instead of them to dream their own dreams, they started plotting against their brother. Eventually God turned their evil plan to good and they only helped him to fulfil his dreams. May anyone that is envious against you fail in Jesus name. May you not be consumed by envy against anyone in Jesus name. If envy wants to grip you, kill it immediately. Don’t feed it with your thought.

Prayer for today: Oh Lord, deliver me from envy and from envious friends in Jesus name.

Your unbelief can be helped

““‘If you can’?” said Jesus. “Everything is possible for one who believes.” Immediately the boy’s father exclaimed, “I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!”” Mark 9:23-24 (NIV)

When you are confronted by a situation that looks so difficult to the extent that you find it difficult to believe for a solution, you can ask the Lord to help you overcome your unbelief. Turning to God in a difficult situation is an indication of believing even if you feel doubtful within you. In that case, God can by-pass your doubt and give you a divine intervention.

“Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.” Esther 4:16
“The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me. Jesus saith unto him, Rise, take up thy bed, and walk.” John 5:7-8

The man in our text was helped by Jesus despite the fact he was doubtful because of the severity of his son’s problem and because it had been for a long time. When Esther told the people to pray and fast, she was still talking of perishing. This means she was doubtful but God helped her. The lame man at the pool of Bethesda did not see help coming from Jesus yet he was helped. You shall be helped in Jesus name. Never fail to call on God no matter the severity of the situation.

Prayer for today: Oh Lord, I believe, help me to overcome my unbelief in Jesus name.

Stay with the word

“For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.  Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground; Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.” Job 14:7-9

If you stay with the word, you will always recover from any attack, you will always have hope for recovery, restoration and refreshing. Water represents the word of God in the bible (Eph 5:26). It does not matter what is done against a tree, as long as its root can contact water, there is hope for restoration. Beloved, there is hope for you if you stay with the word.

“And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” Psalms 1:3
“But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Mathew 4:4

The word will comfort you, give you direction and empower you. Timely word is what you need to handle any situation be it physical and spiritual. Jesus told Jairus, “Don’t be afraid, only believe” That was the word that brought his daughter back. He also told Peter, “Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught.” That was the word that turn Peter’s failure to success.” There is a word from the Lord for you this morning, Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

I see your expectations becoming a manifestation.

Prayer for today: Oh Lord, restore and refresh me by your word in Jesus name.

The burden bearer

“Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.” Psalms 55:22

This trouble is not yours! Surrender it to the Lord the willing burden bearer. One thing is sure on this earth, there will always be a burden. But as a child of God, you must know where to put it. If you put it on your head or your heart, you are placing it in a wrong place. It belongs to the Lord.

“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” 1 Peter 5:7
“And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:41-42
“Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” Mark 11:24

These scriptures are telling us how to put our burdens on the Lord. The first thing to do is to ask the Lord for a word. Now this morning you already have a word and that is the burden does not belong to you. The second thing is to ask the Lord to take control of it. The third thing is to believe that He has heard you. When you have done this stop worrying and start praising God that it is done.

I see your burdens lifted in Jesus name.
Prayer for today: Oh God, this load is not mine, take charge of it in Jesus name.

Better second half 2019 (2)

“It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23

Yesterday, I shared about fresh power, fresh wisdom and fresh grace as part of what is needed to make the second half of this year better. Today, I will be sharing the other four, which are new mercy, new helpers, new insights and new actions.

1.    New mercy. Psalms 90:14 says, “O satisfy us early with thy mercy; that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.” The appearance of mercy is equivalent to disappearance of judgement. When mercy comes, it comes with two body guards: timely help and favour. Mercy precedes joy and gladness. May you enjoy new mercy in this second half.
2.    New helpers. Amos 7:2 says,” And it came to pass, that when they had made an end of eating the grass of the land, then I said, O Lord God, forgive, I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.” Helpers of destiny are needed for a change of status. The appearance of a right helper is the end of smallness.  You have eaten grass long enough, it is time for you to eat honey and drink milk. May the helpers that will make it happen for you appear in this second half.
3.    New insights. Acts 26:19 says, “Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision:” May you receive fresh insights. You cannot act or grow beyond the level of insight you have in any area of your life. The way you handle your business and career will change if you have fresh insight. May you receive fresh insight this second half in Jesus name.
4.     New actions. Acts 26:20 says, “But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.” The moment Paul received fresh insight, his action changed. He stopped to kill Christians, he started to preach Christ. When you receive fresh insight, your corresponding action will change positioning you for better success in life and business.
In this second half, you shall recover all, your oppressors shall be subdued, God shall make crooked places straight and give you wealth and prosperity in Jesus name.
Prayer for today: Oh God, let me experience the best of you in this second half of 2019 in Jesus name.

Better second half 2019 (1)

“It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23

I decree that this second half shall be better than the first half in Jesus name. We thank God for showing us mercies so that we are not consumed. We are sure of His faithfulness to show us new mercies in this second half. I want to share with you seven new and fresh things to make the second half of this year better.

1.           Fresh power. Psalms 66:3 says, “Say unto God, How terrible art thou in thy works! through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.” The truth is this you are too important for the enemy to neglect. You will need fresh power to make your enemy submit at all times. Ask God to anoint you with fresh power for this second half.
2.           Fresh wisdom. James 1:5 says, “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” It takes wisdom to do might works (Mark 6:3) and the wisdom is available just for asking. You need fresh wisdom to deal wisely in all affairs of life and make this second half better.
3.           Fresh grace. James 4:6 says, “But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.” God is willing to give you more grace, all you have to do is to humble yourself before Him and express that He is all you need. The grace I am talking about here is the divine ability to make things happen.
I will write about the last four tomorrow.

You are in for the best of God this year in the next six months in Jesus name.

God’s masterpiece

“The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me: thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever: forsake not the works of thine own hands.” Psalms 138:8

You are God’s masterpiece, the best of all His creation. You are created to display His glory. Have you ever seen a skillful potter at work? He perfects the work. He removed the debris in the process of preparing the raw material. He then comes out with a product whose glory and shinning are beyond the imperfect material. God has not finished with you, allow Him to perfect all that concern you.

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)

You may be going through certain things that want to discourage you and make you think that God has forsaken you. He has not! You are too important for Him!! He will bring out the best in you. When He finishes with you, you will become a marvel to people far and near. Your testimony shall be full.

May you allow God to put the finishing touches on you in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, do whatever you want with my life in Jesus name.

Christians and charity

“And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.” 2 Peter 1:7

The word charity is translated love. Your faith is not complete without love (1 Cor 13:13). This is talking about the agape love: unconditional love, God-kind of love. This is the kind of love that every Christian must allow in his or her heart. Jesus interpreted the Ten Commandments in the New Testament as the law of love.

“Master, which is the great commandment in the law? Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment.  And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” Mathew 22:36-40

If you love God, you will be devoted to Him. You will obey and serve Him (Job 36:11). If you love your neighbor as yourself, you will not steal from him, lie against him or kill him. Jesus went on to explain that your neighbor is anyone who you can help (Luke 10:36-37). The world is in trouble today because the love of money (mammon) and lust love (Eros) have taken over the people. Unfortunately, the church is not being left out.

May the true love of God dwell in our spirit in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh Lord help me to walk in true and unconditional love in Jesus name.

Christians and brotherly kindness

“And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.;” 2 Peter 1:7

Brotherly kindness refers to your kindness towards your brothers and sisters in Christ. The gathering of  Christians is supposed to be a gathering where kindness is experienced without limits and restrictions. Kindness is defined as a quality of being friendly, generous and considerate. This is what is needed to support one another in good times and in challenging times.

“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.” Galatians 6:9-10

We all go through things and whatever we do for others will definitely come back to us as an harvest (seed multiplied). Where is your kindness towards others? When you are in a position to help, do you fold your arms? In the church where you belong, do people feel you? You don’t have to be rich to be kind! You just have to be kind hearted!!

May the spirit of kindness be alive within and around us in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh Lord help me to there for someone in Jesus name.

Christians and Godliness

“And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;” 2 Peter 1:6

Godliness means to behave like God. God is love and walk in power. Christians must be godly. In fact, the mystery of godliness is embedded in the coming of Jesus Christ into this world as God in the flesh, and His finished work.

“And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.” 1 Timothy 3:16

Beloved, you cannot claim to be a Christian and not be godly. The main purpose why Christ came is to produce god in us. To give us revelation of wisdom and power to be like god on earth. Moreover, one of the greatest gains as a Christian is to be godly and be contented.

“But godliness with contentment is great gain.” 1 Timothy 6:6
“But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.” 1 Corinthians 1:24
“I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.” Psalms 82:6

May Christ be formed in you, may you manifest as god on earth in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Let the wisdom and the power of God to walk as god on earth come upon me in Jesus name.

The Christian patience

“And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;” 2 Peter 1:6

Patience is the capacity to maintain attitude, belief and position until a course of action yield results. For a Christian, patience is simply waiting on God. The promises of God cover you in all aspect of life, but you need a combination of faith and patience to experience the promise. Everything in life follows a process of time, patience is needed to complete the process.

“That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” Hebrews 6:12
“And it came to pass in process of time, that…..” Exodus 2:23

Be patient in prayer, in studying the word, in sowing your seeds, in investing into people, in investing in yourself, in your calling, and in the business or career that you have chosen. All these have great capacities to bring you unusual returns and blessed future but you must be willing to keep at it until the results are achieved. Never break the patient loop. The world is yet to recover from the mistake of Abraham when he impregnated Hagar. Don’t seek an alternative because you think God is taking too long. You are closer to your breakthrough than you think, be patient. More importantly, we will need patience in our walk with God to inherit the kingdom of God.

“And Samuel said, What hast thou done? And Saul said, Because I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that thou camest not within the days appointed, and that the Philistines gathered themselves together at Michmash” 1 Samuel 13:11

You will get there in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh Lord, help me to combine patience with faith to inherit the promise in Jesus name.

The Christian temperance

“And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness;” 2 Peter 1:6

It is important for you to have self-control as a Christian in every situation you find yourself. You must be the one telling your flesh what to do and not the other way round. The enemy can take down any Christian who lacks temperance or cannot control himself at any time.

“He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls.” Proverbs 25:29
“He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.” Proverbs 16:32.

How do you handle anger? How do you handle lust? How do you handle temptations? If you want to conquer the world, you must conquer yourself first. You may not want to conquer the world but I am sure you want to live a successful Christian life, then temperance is a must. You must be able to say no when it is necessary and say yes when that is the way to go.

May you be able to control yourself when dealing with situations and people in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh Lord, help me to conquer myself first in Jesus name.
