The Christian virtue

“And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge.” 2 Peter 1:5

Your salvation must produce Christian virtue that should draw people to Jesus. The world defines virtue as goodness, righteousness and morality. If you claim to be a Christian, where is your virtue? Where is your goodness towards others? Where is the display of your right standing with God? Where is your morals?

Virtue is a product of a determined mind and forms the basis of how we relate with others. When your mind is set on living the Christian way, it reflects on how you handle your relationship with men and with God. Your Christian virtue does not permit you to stab people at the back, it does not permit you to do harm to others neither does it permit you to live an immoral life.

“Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.” Mathew 7:12
“Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.” Mathew 22:37-40

May you truly be an epistle that the world reads in order to come to Jesus.

Prayer for today: Oh Lord, help me to be diligent to add virtue to my faith in Jesus name.
