Divine shift!

“And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.” Exodus 3:3

Whenever God calls your attention to something He is doing or wants to do, He has decided to shift you to the next level. You must turn aside to see and hear what He has for you. I don’t know any man, whether in the Bible or in our contemporary world, that God has mightily used but has not had to set aside to see or hear God. You may want to say, What about Samson? Well, his parents received the call on his behalf, but he went about it without the discipline and self-control needed to sustain the anointing. He killed himself with the same power God blessed him with. I'm sure you don’t want to be like that.

“And the Lord came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth.” 1 Samuel 3:10

“And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.” Acts 9:6

I believe God wants to shift many of us spiritually for the assignment that He has for us. However, we must be sensitive to his call for our attention. The world is too busy and on high speed in the fast lane, but you must learn to step aside and ask God, What are you saying to me? The wisdom, light, and power of God are all you need to be relevant in this world. The price you must pay for these is separation.

As we journey in this new month, may you be visited by God, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, shift me to the next level spiritually, in Jesus’ name.

Salvation: Lord Jesus, I believe in the forgiveness of sin and in the redemption from the power of darkness through your blood. I confess you as my Savior and Lord.  I invite you into my life to save my soul. Holy Spirit, come into my heart and make me what you want me to be. Thank you Lord for saving me in Jesus name.

You are coming out!

“Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all.” Psalm 34:19

As this month comes to an end today, I have a prophetic word for someone who has been passing through a trying time, particularly since the beginning of this year: you will come out of it. The season will change, you will be helped, and you will be favored. However, you must stop explaining the reason why you are experiencing challenges in life and start speaking about the provisions and promises of God to deliver you. We, the covenant people of God, don’t approach the issues of life from physical reasons but from the covenant promises and perspective.

“Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.” Psalm 66:12

“And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.” Acts 12:7

In my few years of existence in this terrestrial world, I have learned that problems come to all, but they do not achieve the same results in every person. I have also learned that the covenant works and guarantees victory in all challenging situations. This means that, if Peter was brought out, you will be brought out. If He delivers the righteous, you will be delivered. If He brought the people of Isrel out of the fire and the water, He will also bring you out.

Your breakthrough and testimony are today in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God bring me out of this challenging season and change the season to favour me, in Jesus’ name.

Come up here!

“After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.” Revelation 4:1

The higher you go, the wider you see. Going deeper in your relationship with God enables you to access more of God’s grace and gifts for your life. Spiritual intelligence is the result of spiritual depths. The kingdom of darkness is always exposed before a man whose spiritual antenna is alive and active. God will give you more if you get hungry for more of Him. God is telling you this morning to come up here so that He may show you things that will distinguish you in this generation.

“Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” Matthew 5:6

“As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.” Psalms 42:1

Now the first thing you need is an accurate assessment of your spiritual levels. Your spiritual levels depend on what you have received from the Lord and, consequently, what He can do through you. You must be anointed, and you know it. You must have access to the mystery of His word. You must leave in total obedience to His instructions for your life. You must seek to know and do His will in every situation. As you fellowship with the Lord, ask for more of Him in your life.

May God pour more of Himself into you in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God give me passion for spiritual growth and make me hungry for more of You in Jesus’ name.

Oh God where are you? 2

“And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.” 2 Corinthians 6:16

God dwells in people, in nations, and in communities where He is welcomed. Every New Testament believer is a habitation of God through His indwelling Spirit. God is in every community where an altar has been raised to Him. Wherever God is, there will be peace, prosperity, and liberty. Wherever God is, you will find His shekinah glory and His rest. The real need of the world today is a people who carry the presence of God and communities where God’s presence rules and reigns.

“And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the Lord is in this place; and I knew it not. And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.” Genesis 28:16-17

“When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language; Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion.” Psalms 114:1-2

Moses cried to God in Exodus 33:15, If Your presence goes not with me, don’t take us further from here. Samson shook himself but did not know that the presence of God had left him (Judges 16:20). God can depart from a person or a community despite the fact that He is omnipresent. We must all be desperate to be carriers of God in this rotten generation. Ask God to make you His mobile altar. You see, we will take nations for Jesus if the presence of God is with and in us.

May you be God’s sanctuary and His habitation, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God,  show me Your glory, in Jesus’ name.

Oh God where are you? 1

“Am I a God at hand, saith the Lord, and not a God afar off? Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord.” Jeremiah 23:23-24

God is omnipresent; there is no doubt about that. The Psalmist said His presence is everywhere (Psalms 139:7–10); however, His effect or act is not everywhere. This is because He gave the earth to the children of men. Unfortunately, this world of men has become the spirit world. You must engage God in your own world; otherwise, you will be asking, Oh God, where are you? The people of the world are engaging satan in their lives, although satan is not omnipresent. This is the reason why a lot of demonically enforced incidents occur in the world: prostitution, drugs, kidnapping, human trafficking, and such vices. God is where His will is known and done.

“The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord's: but the earth hath he given to the children of men.” Psalm 115:16

“Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” Matthew 6:10KJV

If you find God’s will for your life and submit yourself to His will, you will enjoy His presence. Genesis 39:3-4 says concerning Joseph, “And the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the Lord was with him, and that the Lord made all that he did to prosper in his hand.” God is where His anointing is. God is where His purpose is. God is where His instructions are obeyed.

May you carry the presence of God, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God hold my hand and walk with me through the wilderness of this world, in Jesus’ name.

You will be helped!

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” Isaiah 41:10

I have always approached every situation with a conviction in my heart. This conviction is that I will be helped. I want you to also have that conviction within you. One of the pieces of evidence of God’s presence in the life of a believer is His help. This help is timely, unusual, and supernatural. Even when I had to wait for some time before the help came, it had always been timely. At times, the help has come in terms of an inexplicable strength. While I try to do what is humanly possible to develop myself, I rely on His help for results that only He can give.

“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” Philippians 4:13

“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16KJV

The secret of great men and women in the kingdom of God is that they know how to believe God and receive His help. This is they are not hasty in His presence. They spend time with Him knowing that their lives and results depend on what they receive from Him. You see, whenever a situation is trying to harass you and expose your weakness, it is trying to tell you to connect to the help that cannot fail, which is available to you through the name of Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

You will be helped in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: I decree, it is well with my soul, in Jesus’ name.

How you determine your fate!

“Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.” Matthew 9:29

You can determine your fate by using your faith. Your faith is the paddle of the canoe of your fate. The best you can do for yourself is to build your faith in the fate you desire. If you build your faith in the word of God, your fate will be good and victorious. Faith can be positive or negative. When faith is negative, it is called doubt, unbelief, and fear. Your faith is about your thoughts, declarations, and actions. You can never sink in life if your thoughts align with God’s word. If you take charge of your faith, you can determine and control your fate. You do this by taking charge of what you hear, think about, and declare.

“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” 1 John 5:4

“Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit. O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.” Matthew 12:33-34KJV

What people say cannot affect you until you take it in and use your mouth to declare it. If you take care of your insides, your outsides will be alright. Spend time with God’s word and with people of faith to increase your faith. Mind what you watch, listen to, and read because they are the real determinants of your faith and, consequently, your fate.

I see your fate is glorious in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: I decree, it is well with my soul, in Jesus’ name.

Align your thoughts with God’s!

“O Lord, how great are thy works! and thy thoughts are very deep.” Psalm 92:5KJV.

If you desire to do great work, you have to align your thoughts with God’s thoughts. The thoughts of God are deep, and that is why His works are great. There are no impossibilities with God. There are no limitations with God. And fortunately, He has offered to live in men and make them think like Him. He made His thought known to us through the scriptures. He gave us access to His voice in the now. If you choose to walk with God at all costs, align your thoughts with His, and you will do great work.

“If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;” John 10:35

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” John 14:12 KJV

In John 6:28–29, the people asked Jesus, How shall we do the works of God? Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that you believe on him whom he had sent. You know how the Holy Spirit interpreted it to me. To believe on whom God has sent is to align your thoughts with God’s.

Your thoughts will be deep in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God take me with you in Your deep thoughts, in Jesus’ name.

Say it boldly!

“Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. This day will the Lord deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; …. for the battle is the Lord's, and he will give you into our hands.” 1 Samuel 17:45-47KJV.

Whenever you are confronted by any situation or challenge, speak to it first. Whether a Goliath or a storm, be it a mountain or a valley, your first weapon of defense and victory is your declaration. Unfortunately, many people declare negativity in those situations, giving a voice to the enemy. You must be a voice for your solution, not a voice for your problems. David was untrained and inexperienced, but he knew God, and that was the basis of his bold declaration against Goliath. It became totally impossible for Goliath in the battle, so David killed him as he declared.

“And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.” Mark 4:39

“Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.” Job 22:28KJV

Even if you are afraid, make a bold declaration against the opposition. Declare it repeatedly until you have confidence. Everything has the ability to hear and obey. Speak and expect a positive response. God spoke to bring order to the void or formless world. You have the power to speak and see results (Matthew 16:19).

Your word is your solution to your world in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: I decree …………… , in Jesus’ name. (put in your declaration).

Use what you have 3

“And caused me to pass by them round about: and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they were very dry. And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones live? And I answered, O Lord God, thou knowest. Again he said unto me, Prophesy upon these bones, and say unto them, O ye dry bones, hear the word of the Lord.” Ezekiel 37:2-4 KJV.

One of the most pathetic moments in life is having something to use and not knowing it. Many unwanted situations have lingered in the lives of men, not because they do not have the solution but because they do not know. If Ezekiel knew that he only had to prophesy, the dry bones would have become a mighty army a long time ago. If Moses knew he could divide the red sea, he would not have been crying to God. David knew he could slay the giant with a stone and sling, and he just went and did that, taking away the reproach of Israel. Jesus wept when His people were ignorant.

“And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it, Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes.” Luke 19:41-42

“And David girded his sword upon his armour, and he assayed to go; for he had not proved it. And David said unto Saul, I cannot go with these; for I have not proved them. And David put them off him.  And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd's bag which he had, even in a scrip; and his sling was in his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine.” 1 Samuel 17:39-40 KJV

There are seemingly little instruments that have solved little problems for you before, but you are thinking they can handle the present situation. God asked me to tell you that you can use it and you will get breakthrough results. As I conclude this message today, note that David killed a bear, a lion, and a Goliath—the same little David. Just use your “David.” If you are a child of God, I have a conviction that you have what it takes to solve this problem and have a victory.

May God open your eyes to see the instruments of solution in your hand, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: I enforce my breakthroughs, in Jesus’ name.

Use what you have 2

“And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil.” 2 Kings 4:2 KJV.

If you have given your life to Jesus Christ, you have the Holy Spirit. The woman in our text had a pot of oil in her house, and she said she had nothing. Most Christians are like that; they have the Holy Spirit, and they are saying they have nothing! How would you say you have nothing when you have the Holy Spirit? The Holy Spirit will teach you all things, show you things, lead you in the direction you should go, and teach you to profit. If you engage the Holy Ghost, you will not be confused.

“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.” John 14:26

“But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.” 1 John 2:26-27 KJV

When you are confronted by a difficult situation, the situation is only asking you a question. The question is, what will you do now? If you know what to do, the problem ceases to be difficult. You have the Holy Spirit in you who has answers to all situations. Meditate repeatedly on the book of Acts and catch the revelation of what the Holy Spirit will do with and through those who relay with Him as a person.

May you hear the gentle whispers of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Holy Spirit help me, teach me, and lead me, in Jesus’ name.

Use what you have 1

“Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.” John 14:30 KJV.

If you understand that the material world was created from the immaterial, you will not underestimate the intangible resources within you. Although the real breakthrough is when the intangible becomes tangible to you and you make use of it as such. The name of Jesus is enough to create the world that you desire. Peter spoke about this as if it were tangible; he spoke about it as like silver and gold that a man can hold and behold. I believe there is a status you attain in Christ where spiritual things become as real and tangible as physical things.

“Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:9-11KJV

“The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.” Proverbs 18:10KJV

I have seen people boast of charms before—things that fail men (1 Kings 18). The name of Jesus is more than any charm or armlet. The name of Jesus can never fail. The wise man described the name as a strong tower. The name was more than intangible to him. You have the name of Jesus; use the name and see victories in your life.

May you experience victory this week, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Let my situation change for good, in Jesus’ name.

Sanitize your house

“Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.” John 14:30 KJV.

Don’t keep anything dedicated to the devil in your house. Don’t hide things that belong to the devil within you. Sanitize your house. The devil is like a fly; he will come looking for what belongs to him—filthy things. If he sought to find something in Jesus, who are you that he would not try to search? When deliverance becomes hard and difficult, the devil is attaching himself to something that belongs to him. Leave unforgiveness alone, repent if you sin, and don’t doubt God. Also, deal with evil dedication and unknown commitments to idols and goddesses.

“And the Lord said unto Joshua, Get thee up; wherefore liest thou thus upon thy face? Israel hath sinned, and they have also transgressed my covenant which I commanded them: for they have even taken of the accursed thing, and have also stolen, and dissembled also, and they have put it even among their own stuff.” Joshua 7:10-11NKJV

“And the Jews' passover was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting: And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables; And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise.” John 2:13-16 KJV

In my new mini-e-book, Man in the Spirit World, I shared the story of one of my neighbors from several years ago. My neighbor came knocking on my door around 6 a.m. in the morning. When he slept the previous night, he had hair on his head. But when he woke up in the morning, his hair had been cleanly shaved. He came to ask for prayers. As I wanted to pray for him, I heard God telling me to ask him what he had in his house. He took me to his house and opened a cupboard that contained different calabashes of concoction that he took from a witch doctor. The devil found in the man's house what belonged to him and came for it; in the process, he shaved his head mysteriously.

May you not harbour what belongs to the enemy, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, sanitize my body, soul, and spirit with the Holy Ghost and fire, in Jesus’ name.

Overcoming confusion in destiny

“Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God.” Matthew 22:29 KJV.

One of the most confused people in the Bible were the Pharisees and the Sadducees. The reason was that they looked at the scriptures with the tentacle of religion and not that of the kingdom and destiny. Head knowledge of the scriptures is different from revelational knowledge of the scriptures. If the scripture is revealed to you by the Holy Spirit, you can never be confused about life and destiny. If you know the scripture and the power of God, your life and destiny can never be in error. Beloved, you need both; knowing either can still lead to confusion. If you know the scripture without knowing the power of God, you will be confused. If you know the power of God without knowing the scriptures, you will still be confused. If you don’t know either, fulfilling your destiny becomes difficult, if not impossible.

“And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures.” Luke 24:45 NKJV

“However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.” John 16:13 KJV

If you really desire to make your life better than the best you have ever witnessed, you must invest your time in studying the scriptures and praying. You may also need to ask for the wisdom and power of God. Our physical strength and ability cannot actually carry out the destiny that God has for us. The earlier we recognize our self-insufficiency, the more we can cry to God to give us what it takes to avoid confusion and fulfill our destiny.

You will not be confused, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, open my eyes of understanding to comprehend the scriptures and anoint me with the Holy Ghost and power, in Jesus’ name.

Eyes for opportunity

“Behold (SEE), I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:19 KJV emphasis mine.

There are opportunities right where you are. There are ways in the wilderness. There are rivers in desert places. Do you believe this? If you don’t believe there are opportunities right where you are, you cannot see them. People are stranded in life because they cannot see opportunities, or they are not taking the opportunities that come their way. God is saying to you, Behold, that is see! May you see what God is showing to you in Jesus’ name. Your mind must conceive of the opportunity for you to appropriate it. May your eyes of understanding be enlightened in Jesus’ name.

“And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.” Hebrews 11:15 KJV

“And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.” Genesis 21:19 KJV

When you are "mind-full" of what you are looking for, you see opportunities that others cannot see. Put your mind to work in the right direction. Pray also specifically that God should open your eyes to see. Both your spirit and your mind have eyes that are instrumental to your breakthrough. Be full hearted about your desire and see the breakthrough (Jeremiah 29:13).

You have a sound mind, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, open my eyes to appropriate what you have given me, in Jesus’ name.

God of great things

“The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.” Psalms 126:3 KJV

Our God, our Father, does great things, we should believe Him for great things, pursue great things in His name, and achieve great things. Let me share with you four things that I have learnt from the scriptures. God will do what you believe Him for (Mark 9:23). Whether it is great things or small things you believe God for, God still remains God (Malachi 3:6). God uses unexpected instruments to do great things (1 Cor 1:27). When God does great things through you, you will be glad (Psalms 126:3).

“But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;” 1 Corinthians 1:27KJV

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:13KJV

If you look weak and incapable but you are willing to engage God, then you are a candidate for great things. You can choose to do either small or great things, but you must know that the strength of God is available for which ever you decide to do. The outcome depends on how you can engage the strength of God and not on your own strength. Learn all you can but ask God to empower you to do great things through His Spirit.

You shall do great things, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, anoint and me power me to do great things, in Jesus’ name.

Dealing with household wickedness 5

“Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.” Ephesians 6:16 KJV

No wickedness can prevail against you until it succeeds in convincing you to doubt God. Your faith in God will quench any wickedness at any time. Your faith in God is a shield for your life and destiny. If you have a word from the Lord and you believe and walk in the word, no wickedness can subdue you. Faith in God is a doubt of the enemy; a doubt of God is called fear (negative faith). You should simply walk on water because God says so and don’t give room to the threat of the enemy. You cannot sink unless you doubt God. If doubt wants to set in, quickly ask Jesus to save you and He will surely hold your hand.

“And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me. And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?” Matthew 14:29-31KJV

“For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” Romans 1:17KJV

Your faith in God is your lifeline. What God said to you is superior to what the enemy is trying to do against you. The size and the strength of your opposition do not count if God has spoken to you. Just go ahead and take the land even if the giants are there (Numbers 13:30). Just go ahead and kill the Goliath, after all, he is uncircumcised, but you are because of the covenant (1 Samuel 17:26).

May faith be found in you, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, let my life be full of Your faith and power, in Jesus’ name.

Dealing with household wickedness 4

“And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.” 2 Corinthians 10:6 KJV

God sees any wickedness against you as an act of disobedience to Him when you walk in obedience to Him. This is why people who trust and obey God enter into His rest (Hebrews 4:3). There is a realm of rest in this tempestuous and cruel world. This realm is where people who wilfully obey God dwell. God is merciful, but wilfully disobedience exposes a man and makes him susceptible to wickedness. Joseph knew this and that was why he refused to sleep with his master’s wife. He knew that no evil could prevail against him if he walked in obedience to God.

“There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?” Genesis 39:9 KJV

“And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.” Deuteronomy 28:1-2 KJV

There is nothing a hen can do to corn kept in a bottle, so also there is no wickedness that can prevail against a man who walks in obedience to God. God sees an act of obedience as an act of faith. And faith moves God (Hebrews 11:6). Obedience to God attracts His blessings and favor. This was why Joseph became a prime minister in Egypt. This was why the Philistines could not prevail against Isaac. This is also your key to prevailing over your household wickedness. Whatever God tells you to do, do!

May you be obedient to God in all things, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, anoint me with the Holy Ghost and power, in Jesus’ name.

Dealing with household wickedness 3

“I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him: With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him. The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.” Psalm 89:20-22 KJV

The anointing of God upon your life is your defense against any wickedness, including household wickedness. The anointing is an indication that the hand of the Lord is established with you; this means no hand can be against you. You know some house wickedness is not only physical orchestration, but some are also satanically backed. The only way to quench such wickedness is to be anointed. Unfortunately, many destinies have been wasted because, when wickedness came against them, their heads were dried. May your head not lack oil in Jesus’ name.

“He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes; Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.” Psalms 105:14-15KJV

“And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.” Isaiah 10:27 KJV

The anointing is both the anti-yoke and anti-burden power of God. When the people of Samson gave him over to the enemy, the anointing came upon him, and he was set loose to destroy the enemy. David was too anointed to be defeated. Even when Absalom came against him, the anointing protected him. You must deliberately ask God to anoint you, no matter what God has called you to do. You must maintain fellowship with the Holy Spirit until you are anointed, and you must stay anointed.

May be anointed throughout your lifetime, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, anoint me with the Holy Ghost and power, in Jesus’ name.

Dealing with household wickedness 2

“Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails.” Proverbs 19:21 NIV

God is purposeful in all things. If you find and pursue God’s purpose for your life, you will always prevail. This is because God will deal with any wickedness that arises against you (Matthew 7:24–25). You can turn your enemies into God’s enemies by focusing on what God wants you to do with your life. A man who is at the center of God’s purpose cannot be defeated by any wickedness. God will become jealous over you if you surrender yourself to His will and purpose for your life. Keep the promises and purposes of God before you and keep pressing into them, no matter what the enemy throws at you.

“And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: but God was with him, And delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house.” Acts 7:9-10 KJV

“Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision: But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.” Acts 26:19-20 KJV

The presence of God is where God’s purpose is known and fulfilled. Joseph, David, Paul, and many other characters in the bible enjoyed God’s presence because they aligned with the purpose of God for their lives. A venomous serpent bit Paul, but he only shook it into the fire (Acts 28), and the people thought he was a god. Why? Because he was right at the center of God’s plans and purposes for his life.

May you find and pursue the purpose of God for your life, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, do whatever you want with my life, in Jesus’ name.
