Four Implications of His birth 3

“The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.” Luke 1:35

The third implication of His birth is that all things are possible. If you can conceive it, you can possess it. If you can believe it, you can receive it. Allow the Holy spirit to incubate you for supernatural conception and delivery.

One good thing about Christmas is that it is the main celebration before the new year and it is holiday time. You can spend time with God so that the Holy Spirit can overshadow you to become pregnant of God-given vision for the new year. And if you can conceive it and believe it, then it will happen for you. As much as you want to eat, drink and visit friends, don’t neglect a personal time with God. The best thing that can happen for you this year is to be ready for the next year knowing fully well that God has visited you ahead.

May you be overshadowed by the power of God. May you conceive a divine idea for the year 2019 in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God give me a word, a vision, an idea and a revelation for the year 2019 in Jesus name.

Four Implications of His birth 2

“And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.” Mathew 1:21

The second implication of the birth of Jesus is salvation from sins. The good news is that no one can be under the dominion of sin and of Jesus at the same time. It is either sin is ruling over you or Jesus is ruling over you. Jesus came to give us power and dominion over sin. We are saved from sin and its consequences through our faith in the Lord Jesus and we become children of God. We receive grace to have dominion over sin through our personal encounter with Him.

“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” John 1:12

“For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace” Romans 6:14

I am a believer in Christ Jesus saved by grace through faith in Him. What about you? My life would have been messed up by sin and its consequences but His grace found me. Paul giving his testimonies in 1 Timothy 1:15 said, “This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.”

May His grace be abundant in your life through faith and love in Christ Jesus.

Prayer for today: I receive forgiveness and deliverance from sin through faith in the Lord Jesus.

Four Implications of His birth 1

“Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.” Mathew 1:23

The first implication of His birth is the reality of God’s presence with us. If you are a believer in Christ Jesus, you are not alone, God is with you. You know what that means? To answer the question of what it means we can examine briefly the lives of Joseph, Gideon, Isaac, Moses and Paul.

Joseph story was turned to glory because God was with him (Acts 7:9-10). The timid Gideon became a mighty man of valour because God was with him (Judges 6:12). Isaac sowed in time of famine and reap hundred folds, he became great in a strange land because God was with him (Genesis 26). Moses had rest despite leading 3 million people because God was with him (Exodus 33:14). Paul and others with him could not be killed on the sea because God was with him (Acts 27:23-25)

Beloved, it does not matter what you passing through, let us celebrate the birth of Christ because God is with us. And because He is with us, we will laugh last.

May you experience the reality of God’s presence in this season in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I declare in the name of Jesus, God is with me, my future is secured and I have nothing to fear or worry about.

Favor with God

“And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favor with God.” Luke 1:30

Mary found favor with God and five things happened to her

1.              Her fear was taken away. The need to fear will be completely gone when a man finds favor
with God. The Angel told Mary to fear not because she had found favor with God.

2.              She was visited by an Angel and received a word from the Lord. When a man finds favor with God, he gains access to specific word for his destiny. That was what happened to Mary, she heard God through the Angel about a specific assignment that God had for her.

3.              What she did not have did matter. She told the Angel that she did not have any man and that what the Angel was saying would be difficult. But the Angel told her that the Holy Spirit would take over. You see, when you find favor with God what you have or does not have is not a factor, you will be helped by the power of God to deliver the expected results.

4.              She received the divine ability to conceive and deliver supernaturally. A lot of people are roaming on the face of the earth not knowing what they should do with their lives. No goal, No vision, No ambition. When a man receives favor from God, he will become pregnant of something that is beyond his abilities and he will also be helped to make it happen. That was what happened to Mary, she was able to conceive supernaturally and deliver safely.

5.              She receives favors from men. First Elizabeth visited her and when she delivered, wise men came from the East to give the Child, gifts. When a man finds favor with God, he will also receive the favors of men.

Beloved, may you find favor with God in this season and always in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, be with me, let me be highly favored and let me be blessed among men in Jesus name.

Positioning yourself for miracles

“In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth, a town in Galilee, to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary.” Luke 1:26-27

A man on assignment for a king will enjoy all the supports of the King. Miracles are divine intervention of the King of kings in the affairs of men. Perhaps you need a miracle right now, I advise you to position yourself in the assignment of the King of kings, then miracles will be a normal thing in your life.

God needed a forerunner for Jesus ministry, Elizabeth, a barren old woman was available so God visited her and gave her a miracle baby. God wanted a savior in human flesh, Mary was well positioned for this divine assignment. She was visited despite the fact that she was a virgin. God needed a prophet to replace Eli in 1 Samuel, Hanah was ready to give God a man child so the story of her barrenness ended. If you link your need with God’s assignment for your life, you will enjoy His miracle working power.

May you experience God’s visitation today in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Lord, help me to find the assignment that you have given me so that I can walk in your miraculous power in Jesus name.

How to change things!

“So we think about what we cannot see, not what we see. What we see lasts only a short time, and what we cannot see will last forever.” 2 Cor 4:18 (Easy to read)

What you want to change in your life can be changed! What you are going through is subject to change! As we are concluding the year 2018 and about to enter 2019, let me share with you the secret of changing things.

1.              Believe that your situation is subject to change. “Jesus said to the father, “Why did you say ‘if you can’? All things are possible for the one who believes.” Mark 9:23

2.              Speak to the situation or the thing you want to change. Never stop doing this until you see the change. Read Ezekiel 37, Mark 11:23, 1 Samuel 17:45-47

3.              Find out all the information you can get about the situation. Read books, search internet, ask questions to know all about the situation. “In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the Lord came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.” Daniel 9:2

4.              Take action based on the information you have found. “From that day on, half of my men did the work, while the other half were equipped with spears, shields, bows and armor.” Nehemiah 4:16

5.              Ask God to reveal to you about the situation. “The secret things belong unto the Lord our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.” Deuteronomy 29:29

6.              Do whatever God asked you to do. John 2:5

7.              Be expectant to see the change. Acts 3:5

I see your situation changing to God’s glory.

Prayer for today: My red sea, divide: my Jericho wall, collapse; my mountain, move in the name of Jesus.

Enforcing a change

“If a man die, shall he live again? all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.” Job 14:14.

Change is possible. In my few years of existence on earth, I have seen God change people’s lives and situations. I see Him changing your life at this time also.

God has laid it in my heart to tell you to use this end of the year period to enforce a change in your life. How? Spend more time with God, listen to what He has to say to you, think through your life and map out a course of action to enforce a change in your life.  There is time to sit down, reflect on issues, meditate and cry unto God. The time is now. Particularly if you really desire a change and want next year to be better than this year.

One thing is sure, the enemy will want you to be busy running about the same way you have been doing since the beginning of the year. Don’t allow him. A change of mind is a change of life. And for a change of mind, fresh information is needed both spiritual and physical. This information can only be accessed by separating yourself for a quiet moment between you and God.

May your life be more profitable. May you experience the change you desire in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I receive grace to separate myself for a quiet moment between me and God in Jesus name.

Why wait we here and die!

“Now there were four leprous men at the entrance of the gate; and they said to one another, “Why are we sitting here until we die? If we say, ‘We will enter the city,’ the famine is in the city, and we shall die there. And if we sit here, we die also. Now therefore, come, let us surrender to the army of the Syrians. If they keep us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall only die.”” 2 Kings 7:3-4

Don’t be at peace in Zion, take a calculated risk to change your level.

Why are you afraid to take new steps and challenge the status quo? Don’t you know you cannot be doing thing in the same way and expect different results? If you don’t like your present status, you will have to change your thinking, change you vision, change your dream and change your actions. It is more risky not to take risk! You must take a calculated risk to change your levels and possess your possessions. If you prefer to stay in your comfort zone, you may never experience the best of God.

The four lepers in our text this morning without being aware of the prophetic words that have gone ahead of them liberated themselves and the entire nation from famine. Everyone decided to stay within the city and die there except them. The engaged the power of their thinking and decided that they had a 50% chance of surviving if they visit the camp of the Assyrians. They got there only to find out that their fears had been taking care of.

Beloved, I challenge you to be desperate with God and take a positive step towards your breakthrough.

May your level change before the end of this year in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I receive the anointing to confront my fears and to take a new step for my breakthrough in Jesus name.

If your faith says yes……

“Beloved, if our hearts condemns us not, then have we confidence toward God. And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight” 1John 3:21-22.

If your faith says yes, God will not say no! Throughout the scripture, God never denied a man whose mind is made up; whose confidence is unbroken. See Hannah (1Sam 1), Shadrach, Meshack and Abednego (Daniel 3), Esther (Esther 4), Jacob (Gen 32).

The story of the Canaanite woman in Mathew 15:21-28 is a powerful illustration of this truth. When she presented her request, Jesus did not answer her a word. Most people would have given up at that level, concluding that God is saying no or asking them to wait. This woman continued and the response of Jesus should have swept her off her feet but the woman’s confidence that she would receive her request was unbroken. Jesus concluded that her faith was great and gave her the miracle she desired.

Beloved, do you need a miracle, divine intervention, power of God or what? If your faith says yes, God will never say no!

This is your season of breakthrough, rejoicing and blessing in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I received all that God has planned for me to receive this year in Jesus name.

Give thanks

“Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever.” Psalm 118:1

The mercy of God has found you, give thanks. You are still far from where you want to be, give thanks. You are closer to where you want to be, give thanks. You are where you want to be, give thanks. You are sick in your body, give thanks, many have been killed by the same sickness. You are healthy and strong, give thanks. You have children, give thanks. You are still believing God for a child, give thanks. You are married, give thanks. You are still expecting to get married, give thanks for there is no marriage or child bearing in the grave. Your business is going well give thanks. Your business is struggling give thanks for to them that is joined to the living there is hope. Let your thanksgiving be more than your requests as we climb the last ladder in 2018.

Happy new month, brethren.

Prayer for today: Oh God I am very grateful, for all you have done for me, receive my thanksgiving in Jesus name.

Uncommon results 2

“So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.” Romans 9:16 (KJV)

It is not wrong to run, or to will but if God’s mercy is lacking failure is inevitable. Learn to humble yourself before God so that He can lift you. Learn to leverage on God’s mercy and favour to obtain uncommon results. Work hard, be aggressive for information, do what you are supposed to do at the time you are supposed to do it but trust God to bless your efforts and give you success. The NIV version of our text says, “It does not, therefore, depend on human desire or effort, but on God's mercy.”

“What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith.” Philippians 3:8-9 (NIV)

Uncommon results are obtained here on earth by faith in God. Examine the lives of Abraham, Moses, Joseph, Daniel, Paul and even our Lord Jesus. Faith in God means listening to Him and doing what He tells you. It means apart from working hard and other physical efforts, you spend time with God to bless you. Paying tithe and getting involved in the work of God is not negotiable for those who know that it is God that is blessing them and not their efforts.

May God crown your effort with uncommon results in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: O God bless me indeed and enlarge my coast, give me uncommon results in Jesus name.

Uncommon results 1

“If the ax is dull, And one does not sharpen the edge, Then he must use more strength; But wisdom brings success.” “The labor of fools wearies them, For they do not even know how to go to the city!” Eccl 10:10,15

If you are struggling to get results in any area of your life, the implication is that you need more information. You need to be adequately informed and make use of the information if you want to get results in any area of your life.

Beloved, I guess you know by now that working hard is not negotiable. There is no room for a lazy person on earth. You also need to know that there are hardworking fools and you should not be one. A hard working fool prefers to work with a blunt instrument instead of sharpening the instrument first. A hard working fool works hard but because he does not have adequate knowledge the effort is not giving results.

If you are desperate for a results, you must be hungry for information. You are blessed if you are thirsty and hungry for adequate information on your projects because you shall be filled (Mathew 5:6). When you are adequately informed, you get results without stress.

No more failure in any area of your life in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I declare I am a success and not a failure in Jesus name.

Who is your mentor?

“Thou wilt surely wear away, both thou, and this people that is with thee: for this thing is too heavy for thee; thou art not able to perform it thyself alone. Hearken now unto my voice, I will give thee counsel, and God shall be with thee: Be thou for the people to God-ward, that thou mayest bring the causes unto God:” Exodus 18:18-19
A mentor is a teacher, a guide and a counsellor. He has the information you need to achieve your goals and fulfill your destiny. Mentoring can be by physical contact or by proxy. By proxy includes books, audio and video tapes etc. Whatever you do if you have the right mentor, and you really listen and obey, you will succeed.
Moses was struggling to lead the three million people God committed into his hands but Jethro took the position of a mentor in his life. He got a solution to lead the people without wearing away both himself and his people. Now listen to this, Moses had seen God face to face and had also heard Him but yet God used a man to mentor him. Don’t be too spiritual or anointed, and reject a divinely ordained mentor. The other thing is this, some people have achieved “success” in an ungodly and wicked way, if you make such your mentors whether physically or by proxy, they will teach you to become ungodly and wicked. The bible says concerning Ahaziah in 2 chronicles 22:3, “He also walked in the ways of the house of Ahab, for his mother advised him to do wickedly.”
In this information age, no one has the reason to fail in anything be it career, business or ministry, if he is listening to the right person and he is acting on the instructions.
May you choose to listen to the right person, may God bring right men and women into your life, may your struggles be terminated in Jesus name.
Prayer for today: O God lead me to the right person, give me the spirit of discernment to know who You have sent into my life to take me into the promised land in Jesus name.

Who is your associate?

“And Laban said unto him, I pray thee, if I have found favour in thine eyes, tarry: for I have learned by experience that the Lord hath blessed me for thy sake.” Genesis 30:27
“Then Eliezer the son of Dodavah of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, Because thou hast joined thyself with Ahaziah, the Lord hath broken thy works. And the ships were broken, that they were not able to go to Tarshish.” 2 Chronicles 20:37
When choosing your associates in life, ministry and business, chose the people that love God. Your associates can determine whether God will bless you or not. Proverbs 13:20 says, “He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.” When you choose your associates, you have chosen a destiny!
There are some people that come into your life and your smallness will be over; your little will become much. That was what happened to Laban when Jacob became his associate, his livestock multiplied. He recognized this and said to Jacob that he knew that God had blessed him for Jacob’s sake. On the other hand, there are people that comes into a progressing thing and that is the end of the progress. Such people when they come into something that has been growing, retardation sets in immediately. Such was the influence of Ahaziah on Jehoshaphat. Jehoshaphat never failed on anything until Ahaziah became his associate. His ships were broken and could not get to their destinations.
Beloved, pray the right associates into your life, reject people that hates God no matter how attractive they are. May you associate with people that will bring God’s blessings into your life in Jesus name.
Prayer for today: I reject evil associates and pray godly associates into my life, ministry and business in Jesus name.

God will do a new thing!

“Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.  Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” Isaiah 43:18-19.
I have a word from the Lord for someone who is tired of past experiences. God is about to make you to experience new things.  God is saying to you, forget your past failures, it is time to experience success. Forget your pass disappointments, it is time to experience appointments. Forget your past ejection, it is time to experience acceptance. God is saying to you, forget your past success, it is time for a new success and breakthrough. He says, the new things shall manifest now.
Let us examine two major things God mentioned in our text:
1.                   A way in the wilderness: Wilderness situation is a situation of stagnancy, putting efforts without results. Wilderness situation is a lonely situation where there are no helpers. Note that there may be people but none of them is a helper. Wilderness situation is a situation of speaking without making sound; a situation where a man is speaking and no one is hearing. God is going to make a way for you. You will come out of your wilderness situation and experience a breakthrough.
2.                   Rivers in the desert. Desert situation is a situation of dryness. It indicates financial hardship and lack. God is saying that abundance will replace your desert situation.
What must you do to expertise these new things?
1.                   Believe. “…Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe his prophets, so shall ye prosper.” 2 Chronicles 20:20.
2.                   Declare. “Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the Lord, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you” Numbers 14:18
3.                   Obey. “His mother saith unto the servants, Whatsoever he saith unto you, do it.” John 2:5
I see God doing new things in your life this week in Jesus name.
Prayer for today: I declare that God will do new things in my life today, this week and this year in Jesus name.

Praying in unbelief!

“And as Peter knocked at the door of the gate, a damsel came to hearken, named Rhoda. And when she knew Peter's voice, she opened not the gate for gladness, but ran in, and told how Peter stood before the gate. And they said unto her, Thou art mad. But she constantly affirmed that it was even so. Then said they, It is his angel.” Acts 12:13-15

I want to encourage someone who is challenged with a seemingly impossible situation to persist in prayer. Sometimes there is a strong doubt in your head because of the difficulty or impossibility of the situation. But if you continue in prayers you will still get the much needed divine intervention.

Can you believe what this praying people said to Rhoda who informed them that their prayers had been answered? They first said she was mad and when the young girl persisted and insisted, they said it was Peter’s angel. They never thought Peter could be delivered but yet they prayed. They prayed in unbelief but God still honored their prayers. God honored their prayer because they persisted. When their prayers had been answered they were still praying. Although their head said it was impossible but their heart said prayer is the way. And the result came.

Beloved, you can turn around any situation and I mean ANY, if you persist in praying. You may not believe but pray and don’t stop praying until your Peter is released. And if you can get someone who can agree and persist with you in prayer, you are blessed.

It is your turn to laugh in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I secure the release of whatever the enemy is withholding from me in Jesus name.

Winning without fighting

“You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you.”” 2 Chronicles 20:17

Are you in a situation that you need to win but fighting is not reasonable then this message is for you. Fighting may not be reasonable because of the limitation of your strength, the enormous strength of the opposition and the aggressiveness of your situation. Your assessment of the situation is that the opposition is too strong for you and if you fight you are sure to lose. I have a good news for you, you can win without fighting!

The way to fight without winning is called positioning yourself. Three great nations came against Judah. It was obvious that they did not have what it takes to fight these nations yet they needed to win. They turned to God and God said to them, “you will not need to fight but position yourselves.” Mathew 13:37 says, “what I say to you I say to all.” God is saying the same thing to you: Position yourself and see your victory.

The question is how do you position yourself to win without fighting against a dangerous and powerful opposition? The first thing is to stand still and see the salvation of God. Stop running helter skelter but stand still and expect victory. Biblically, standing still means waiting on God to hear what He will say to you (Habakkuk 2:1; Isaiah 40:31). Whatever He says to you do (John 2:5). The second thing is to be confident that God is with you. Beloved, there is no situation neither is there any opposition that can withstand our God (Psalm 144). The last thing is that you should fear not. Don’t be afraid, only believe.

I see you coming out with victory in this present situation in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God I am standing still before you, speak to me, give me confidence and boldness, and take care of my present situation in Jesus name.

The world of words

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.” John 1:1-3

Your world depends significantly on the words you are hearing, reading and speaking. Words are information. Words are revelation. Words are light. Words are food. Words are power. Words can heal and can kill. Words can bring a person down and can lift a person up. Words can inform and can deform.

If a man is doing drug, someone spoke a word to him. If a man is changing lives, he also has heard a word. Your world is a product of the word you have received, believed and acted upon. Words are blessings, words are curses. Words are prophecies, both the lies and the truth. If you want to shape your world you must choose your words.

Sources of the words in your life including your immediate family, your friends, the school you attend, the church you attend, the books you read, the television, radio, internet, phone and others. You can choose the word in your life by controlling the access of these sources in your life. You did not choose your family but yet you can control their access into your life.

Now hear this if your world is not what you expect it to be, you must check the word you are hearing, reading, speaking and acting upon. May your world be filled with anointed words, words of blessing and revelation in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, rid me, and deliver me from the hand of strange children, whose mouth speaks vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood in Jesus name.

What do you see?

“Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree. Then said the Lord unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.”” Jeremiah 1:11-12

Dearly beloved welcome to a week of testimony in your life. I see lines falling for you in pleasant places. I see God fulfilling His promises in your life speedily. I see mountains becoming pain before you. I see you crossing from the side of defeat into the side of victory.

Devil knows that what you are seeing is important. He will surely want to show you a picture that is contrary to the plan of God for you. Do not agree with him. Refuse to see what he is trying to show you. He will try to show you that God cannot deliver you as he tried to do in Isaiah 37. He will try to show you that he is stronger than your God as he did to Israel for forty days in 1 Samuel 17. He will even try to show you that you cannot come out of your present situation as he tried to show to Peter in Acts 12. But God asked me to tell you today, “see the picture that I am showing you, it is positive and not negative.”

Now it is important for you to see correctly and to declare what you are seeing. See the word and declare the word so that you can experience the word. In 1 Samuel 17, David told Goliath, I see you falling and the Israel defeating you and the host of philistines. Goliath did not last that day.

May your trouble not last this day in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: O God I see your promises coming to pass in my life, hasten your word to perform it in every area of my life in Jesus name.

The joy of the Lord

“Nehemiah said, “Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”” Nehemiah 8:10

Whatever a child of God is passing through is temporary, the end is always good. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all (2 Cor 4:17). Don’t let the devil steal your joy because of temporary setbacks, afflictions, or unwanted situations. If he steals your joy, he has stolen your strength. The bible says the joy of the Lord is your strength.

In 1 Samuel 30, the enemy attacked Ziklag when David and his soldiers were away. They took away everything including their wives and children. The people came to see an empty city because the enemy had struck in his usual way. The people wept until there was no strength in them. Can you imagine? The devil stole their things, they were going to permit him to steal their joy and consequently their strength as well. Until David came to his senses. He encouraged himself in the Lord, asked Him what to do. God says, pursue, overtake and recover. At the end of the story, they took back more than what the enemy took from them.

Beloved, come what may, keep your joy, it is the source of your strength for total recovery.

Prayer for today: I recover my joy, I recover my strength, I recover everything the devil stole in the name of Jesus.

While men slept!

“But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away.” Mathew 13:25

Beloved, physical sleep is allowed but spiritual sleep is not acceptable. Even at that, don’t let physical sleep have dominion over you. Although physical sleep is refreshing, inability to control it is an indication of spiritual damage. The enemy has chosen the time of the night; the time we are sleeping to launch his attacks. When a man is sleeping even if he is guarding his property, he is not really there. He is helpless and cannot resist the primary assignments of the invader which is to steal, to kill and to destroy.

Our text for today says when people were sleeping, the enemy came and put weeds among the wheat. In 1 Kings 3, a woman in the night, slept on her son and killed it. In the same chapter, another woman’s son was replaced with a dead one while she was sleeping. Proverbs 6 even says that an extra sleep brings in poverty. Beloved, many people are in trouble today because the enemy came when they were sleeping. Glory had been stolen or exchanged for another during the night while people were sleeping. The good news is that you can wake up from your sleep, go after the enemy and recover all.

Spiritually speaking, “night” can be anytime of weakness while “sleeping” is an indication of spiritual inactiveness. Keep yourself awake spiritually, don’t take the opposition for granted. Spend time in fellowship with God and in meditation on the word. Let your spiritual antenna be active to decode what the enemy is trying to do. Stay anointed to quench the advancement of the invaders.

I decree that the owners of evil loads shall carry them in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: O God, put your fire in my bones, let me have dominion over all forms of sleep both in the night and in the day in Jesus name.

This is not yours!

“And when I rose in the morning to give my child suck, behold, it was dead: but when I had considered it in the morning, behold, it was not my son, which I did bear.” 1 kings 3:21

Beloved, I don’t care to know what the enemy has done to you but if you can consider it again in the light of the scriptures, you will discover that it is not yours. Failure is not yours! Shame and reproach are not yours! Lack and poverty are not yours! Sicknesses and infirmities are not yours! Rejection is not yours! Stagnancy is not yours! Retrogression is not yours! What you need to do is to report the enemy to the king and He will reverse what the enemy has done.

In our text today, two women slept in the night. One killed her son by sleeping on it. She then replaced the other woman’s living child with her dead child while the other woman was sleeping. The other woman already thought and accepted that the dead child was her own. But when she considered it in the morning she discovered that it was not hers. Beloved, in our time of weaknesses the enemy had done a lot of wrong things in our lives. When we were “sleeping,” unable to react to the attack of the enemy, he planted the unwanted seed. Some of us are already taking it as normal. But don’t! If you look at it seriously you will discover that it is not yours. The woman reported the matter to the king and the King settled her. The dead child which was not hers was taken away and her living child was restored to her.

It is time to report the matter to the King of kings and the Lord of lords in order to reject what the enemy did and accept what God has done for you. I reverse what the enemy has done in your life in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I reject the seed and fruits of the enemy in my life in the name of Jesus (mention those ones you have identified one by one and deal with them).

Deceived by sight?

“And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, Alas, my master! how shall we do? And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them. And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.” 2 Kings 6:15-17

Beloved the fact that there is no rain does not mean that there would not be water. The fact that there is the red sea ahead does not mean that there would not be a way. The fact that you hit a wall does not mean that you cannot go forward. Physical sights deceive, spiritual sights deliver. What your physical eyes can see is not all that is available to see. The fact that it is a fire does not mean it has to burn. The fact that it is a Lion does not mean it has to eat flesh. When God happens to any situation, the situation does His will. May God happen to every situation harassing your life. May you see what God is seeing and become what God wants you to be in Jesus name.

A lot of us are afraid for nothing. We are worried for a situation that God has taken care of.  I sometimes think what most of us suggest about God. Do you suggest that God will forget you, leave you to be put to shame or to be devoured by the enemy? Then you don’t know Him. Don’t be carried away by the sight of the enemy you can see with your physical eyes; be confident in the size of God you can only see with your spiritual sight!

“Can a woman forget her sucking child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb? yea, they may forget, yet will I not forget thee.” Isaiah 49:16

Beloved, keep on believing God; keep on serving God, keep on making bold declarations, keep on praying, keep on sowing your seed, the mountain you are seeing will soon become a plain land.

Prayer for today: O God open my eyes to see the victory that you have given me in Jesus name.

Christian life without error

“Jesus replied, “You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God.” Mathew 22:29. (NIV)

Your security against living in error as a child of God is knowledge. Knowledge of the scriptures and the power of God.  You gain strength to do exploit by the knowledge of the scriptures and the power of God.

“And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” Daniel 11:32

Many Christians are turning back from what they called impossible and difficult because they do not know the power of God. May are acting contrary to the word of God because they do not know the word of God. The scriptures are the source of both the knowledge of God and the faith that is able to make all things possible for us. I have learnt by the study of the scriptures and their applications that no matter what comes my way, victory is guaranteed.  When you act on the word of God you experience the power of God for victory, success and prosperity (Joshua 1:8).

May your Christian life be free from error. May you have passion for the scriptures and experience the power of God in every area of your life in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I refuse to walk in error, Oh God teach me your word and let me experience your power in Jesus name.

Grateful hearts

“Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner?” Then he said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well.”” Luke 17:17-19

A heart of gratitude is a perquisite to keeping men relevant to your destiny and the power of God in your life. Never take people that God has used for you for granted, be grateful to them. Never take for granted what God has done in your life, be grateful to God.

Faith is necessary to receive a miracle but gratitude is necessary to secure the miracle. In our text today, all the ten lepers had faith to go and show themselves to the priest despite the fact that they were still leprous. They were healed because of their faith. But only one added gratitude to his faith and became whole. The moment he saw that he was healed, he went back to appreciate the Lord. Jesus said his faith had made him well, he would never be sick again.

Maintain a grateful heart as long as you are breathing on the face of the earth. No man is qualified to live to see the next day except for the goodness of God. Apart from this, to them that is joined to the living there is hope; be grateful for the gift of life. Lastly prayers are transported directly to God in the vehicle of gratitude. Philippians 4:6-7 says, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” It does not matter how prayerful you are; it takes a grateful heart to enjoy the peace of God in this troublesome world.

Beloved, always be grateful.

Prayer for today: O God I thank you for yesterday, today and tomorrow. I will always be grateful to you at all times in Jesus name.

Bold hearts

“The wicked flee when no one pursues, But the righteous are bold as a lion.” Proverbs 28:1

Beloved, it takes a Lion heart to obtain a Lion share both spiritually and physically. A timid heart is an indication of lack of adequate knowledge, passion, power and sound mind. If you do not have a bold heart, you will be turning away from things and situations that you are supposed to conquer. A bold heart is an indication of dominion, and until dominion is obtained, servitude continues.

“A lion, which is mighty among beasts And does not turn away from any;” Proverbs 30:30

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” 2 Timothy 1:7

“And by thy sword shalt thou live, and shalt serve thy brother; and it shall come to pass when thou shalt have the dominion, that thou shalt break his yoke from off thy neck.” Genesis 27:40

For a believer, a bold heart can be developed by adequate knowledge of God, adequate knowledge of your field, consciousness of the anointing of the Holy Spirit and the presence of God in your life.

“And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.” Daniel 11:32

“And the king said, Is the young man Absalom safe? And Ahimaaz answered, When Joab sent the king's servant, and me thy servant, I saw a great tumult, but I knew not what it was. And the king said unto him, Turn aside, and stand here. And he turned aside, and stood still.” 2 Samuel 18:29-30

“Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.” Samuel 17:45

May God baptize you with the Spirit of boldness in Jesus name.
Prayer for today: O God, Let the Lion in me roar, let me walk in boldness and dominion in all areas of my life in Jesus name.

Willing hearts

“I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you,” Luke 15:18.
God has given man the power to conceive things in their hearts and to deliver them. This can be used positively or negatively. Nothing is executed physically by man unless a will has existed in the heart to make it happen. I am sure you have several times heard the phrase, “where there is a will, there will always be a way.” This saying is true and biblical.

God wants you to have a willing heart both for His instructions and His promises. Isaiah 1:19 says, “If you are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land;” A will precedes actions. Today you need a strong will to stand for God in this rebellious world. I beseech you to be willing to go all the way with God. His words and His promises are ye and amen. When you get to a point of “willing,” you have come to a point of conviction about a matter and are ready to do all within your capacity to make it happen. A will is the strong room of passion.

May you have a willing heart for God’s instructions and promises in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I will! I Will! I will! God helping me, I will, O Lord, be yours! Your precious blood was shed to purchase me— I will be wholly yours! In Jesus name.

Obedient hearts

“So Samuel said: “Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He also has rejected you from being king.”” 1 Samuel 15:22-23.

The greatest breakthrough comes to a child of God when he receives the word of the Lord and obeys. Humility at heart enthrones while obedient at heart maintains the throne. You are a king with authority- delegated power; you maintain your kingdom by staying in tune with the King of kings and walking in His instructions for your life.

Two significant instructions to every child of God: do not be deaf to the voice of the Lord; and when you hear Him, do it at all cost. Your safety, prosperity, promotion, enlargement, victory and fulfilment depend on these instructions. You must have a hearing hear and an obeying heart. If you do, your future is guaranteed.

Saul lost the throne because he rebelled against the word of the Lord. He thought sacrifices and offerings could take the place of obedience. But he was wrong; he became a witch and an idolater in the sight of God. Both the logo (the written word) and the rhema (the spoken word) are important. Don’t let anyone deceive you by telling you that you can disobey God and give a big offering to redeem your disobedience. God has preferences and His preference are those who have obedience in their hearts.

May you possess an heart that obeys God at all times in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: O God open my ear to hear and my heart to obey. Let my position never be given to another in Jesus name.

Humble hearts

“Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time,” 1 Peter 5:6

It does not matter your level of intelligence, acquired skills and degrees, you must humble yourself before God if you want Him to lift you. An humble heart is a prerequisite for divine lifting, divine promotion and divine positioning. God looks for an humble heart to enthrone a man.

“So Samuel said, “When you were little in your own eyes, were you not head of the tribes of Israel? And did not the Lord anoint you king over Israel?” 1 Samuel 15:17

“But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”” 1 Samuel 16:7

God anointed Saul to become the King of Israel when he demonstrated an humble heart before Him.  Eliab looked good to be anointed a king among the sons of Jesse but he failed in the heart. When God looks at his heart he was not qualified. Some of the things you go through is permitted by God for you to develop a right attitude for God to lift you, that is, a humble heart. A humble heart will pray to God for everything and will be passionate to hear Him in every situation. A humble heart will declare I am nothing without God. A humble heart will declare I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me. You know out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. A humble heart completely relies on God for results even though he works hard.

May God find you qualified for His lifting in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: O God, let humility be found in my heart, let me be found qualified for divine promotion and enthronement in Jesus name.

Loyal hearts

“For the eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the earth so that He may support those whose heart is completely His. You have acted foolishly in this; therefore, from now on you will have wars.” 2 Chronicles 16:9

As a Christian your heart must be loyal to God to enjoy His support completely. A loyal heart is a heart that is completely sold out to God. A loyal heart is a heart that completely relies on God. A loyal heart is completely with God in every situation and at all times. A loyal heart seeks to please God at all times. If God has your heart, He has your life. When God has your heart, He puts all His power behind you.

Do not let your heart be divided because of what you are going through or what you desperately need in your life. When your heart is divided, it will be difficult to find God. God says you will find Him if you seek Him with the whole of your heart (Jeremiah 29:13). When your heart is divided, you are opened to wars within and without. You cannot be loyal to two masters at the same time. Money is powerful but yet it is your servant. Don’t make money or material possession your god. Luke 16:13 says, “No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will stand devotedly by the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and mammon [that is, your earthly possessions or anything else you trust in and rely on instead of God].” A loyal heart will seek God first in all things and at all times, and will stay in trust until God shows up. A loyal heart will make his service to God a priority and will not allow the work of God suffer.

Beloved, God wants to do unusual things in your life that will make you a wonder to many but check your loyalty to Him.

Prayer for today: Oh God, check my heart and reveal to me whatever I need to deal with in order to make my heart completely loyal to you in Jesus name.

Maintain your winning strategy

“And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto him, Because thou hast relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on the Lord thy God, therefore is the host of the king of Syria escaped out of thine hand. Were not the Ethiopians and the Lubims a huge host, with very many chariots and horsemen? yet, because thou didst rely on the Lord, he delivered them into thine hand.” 2 Chronicles 16:7-8

As believers, we win by relying on God and not by relying on men. Never forget that, it does not matter the size of our enemy, the intensity of the battle or difficulty of the situation, we rely totally and absolutely on God who can never ever fail. Men have their own parts in your destiny when they are sent by God. But to put any man in the place of God in your life is detrimental to your destiny.

Asa was winning using this strategy. But he changed strategy to trust the king of Syria who God wanted to deliver into his hand when Baasha came to lay a siege against him. He took the precious vessels in the house of God and in his palace to make a treaty with the king of Syria. The king of Syria went to attack the cities that belong to Baasha so he left Asa alone. Asa used the same materials that Baasha left to build cities for himself. He had temporary success but he had compromised his winning strategy. That was the beginning of his downfall.

Beloved, learn to talk to God first, learn to get a direction from God and to obey Him. This is the evidence that you rely on God. When you do, you will always win in every situation you find yourself.

You shall end this year better than you started it in Jesus name.

Join us this morning for Total Recovery at 730am. You shall be greatly blessed.

Prayer for today: I ask that the Hand of the Lord be mighty upon my life, so that I will only look unto Him and not unto men in Jesus name.

Patience Key

“That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” Hebrews 6:12

Patience is a faith booster. Faith always deliver results. The results are carried in the womb of patience and safely delivered at the right time. Patience helps you to remain in faith until you see the manifestation of the promise. Patience helps you to start enjoying the benefits of faith immediately even when the result has not manifested.

If God has spoken to you and you believe the words, you will receive the fulfilment if you remain in faith patiently. God’s word, which is the basis of faith, never fails. Isaiah 55:11 says, “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” Never give up faith because the expected result is taking time.  Patience helps you to continue in prayer until you see results. Patients helps you to continue making bold declaration until you see the manifestation.

Beloved, I have come to understand that I am important to God as His child and that He will not deny me of my heart desires particularly if it is in alignment with His plans and purposes for my life. So I have learnt to wait patiently on Him. I have seen some manifestations happened immediately, some took months, some took years but they happened anyway. When you trust God and you wait patiently with the conviction that He will do what He promised to do, you enjoy the best of God.

May your faith be consolidated with patience in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I receive the grace to walk with God in faith and with patience in Jesus name.

Be still 2

“And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.” Mark 4:19

You must speak against the storm raging against you. Tell it to be still. Everything has capacity to hear in the spiritual realm including anything that is harassing your life. It is important for you to know that the appearance of a storm is an indication that you are making progress but the enemy does not want you to experience breakthrough. Don’t turn back or give up because of the storm, speak to the storm to be still, go ahead and break through.

Jesus told his disciples about going to the other side. However, the enemy did not want them to get there, he saw the plan as a threat to him. He raised the storm to stop them. But Jesus was not threatened by the storm, He was sleeping in the boat. The disciples cried to Him to help and He did. He did by speaking to the storm to be still. But He told them that they could have done the same but they were fearful and without faith. Mark 4:40 says, “And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?” Speaking faith-filled words against the situation is a faith step that always deliver breakthrough results. Always tell your situation what it should do and it will obey you.

I speak to the storm to be still in the name of Jesus.

Prayer for today: I am unstoppable in my breakthrough journey; I speak against anything harassing my life to give up in Jesus name.

Be still 1

“Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalm 46:10

“And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you today: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen today, ye shall see them again no more forever.” Exodus 14:13.

Be still, your deliverance is near. God will show up and will be glorified in your life. Stop speaking negatively, stop thinking negatively, don’t take any action that will pull you down. Stand still to experience the deliverance power of God.

The word “be still” or “stand still” was first spoken to a people before a situation in the bible. I will be sharing about “the situation” tomorrow. If the person is taken care of, the situation will be taken care of. You probably going through a situation that has landed you into a real mess and you don’t know how to come out. The enemy is raging, the environment is not co-operating and on top of it all, you don’t really know what to do. I have a word from the Lord for you, be still and see the salvation of the Lord. Be still means that be confident that God is God and He will show up in your situation. Be still means continue with your life with confidence that because God is involved in your matter, there will be deliverance. Be still means stop looking at the situation, start looking at God. I have been in such situation before, what I did was to spend more time with God so that I could build confidence to be still until my deliverance came. Deliverance has always come.

I call for your salvation and your deliverance speedily in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I receive confidence to be still until my salvation and deliverance come in Jesus name.

God has a plan

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.” Jeremiah 29:11-12 (NIV).

God has a plan for you. And because of His plan, your hope is sure; your future is secured; your expected end is good and guaranteed.

Perhaps what you are currently experiencing is not too good and also contrary to what you expect. You may be thinking that the plan of the enemy is winning. Change your thinking. The plans of God will swallow the plans of the enemy in your life. The enemy thought he was winning against Jesus until the game changed, he discovered that he had lost the keys of hell and death (1 Cor. 2:8, Rev 1:18).

Three things you must remember. The first thing is that you now belong to the family of God (Ephesians 2:11-13) and as such you are no longer under the dominion of the enemy. The second thing is that you must believe that God has a good plan for you and expect His plan to be fulfilled in your life. The last thing is that you keep on calling upon Him, He said he would listen when you pray (Jeremiah 29:12). Psalm 27:12 says, “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”

I see your story changing positively this week in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I pray the plans of God into manifestation in my life in Jesus name.

God of restoration

“When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dreamed. Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy. Then it was said among the nations, “The Lord has done great things for them.”” Psalm 126:1-2

God is about to do something in your life that will make you think you are dreaming. Your mouth shall be filled with laughter and your tongues with songs of Joy. God is about to restore your lost years, your lost opportunities and your lost fortunes.

Satan is a thief but God is a restorer. As a long as God is present in your life, Satan can never have the last laugh. I see God restoring every good thing that is dead in your life. Good things that you have thought cannot come to pass in your life is about to come into fulfilment. God rekindled in me the vision of going back to school in 2011. Today by His grace only, I have a doctoral degree in chemical engineering. This is a proof that God will do what He wants to do in our lives if we cooperate with Him. God can do beyond our thinking and expectation, but we must see the impossible to experience it. God said to Jeremiah, you have seen correctly, I will fulfill my words (Jeremiah 1:12). I want you to see this coming restoration to experience God of restoration. It does not matter what men have said about it or the strength of the personality that stole it, God of restoration will restore it.

May you experience the God of restoration in every area of your life in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: O God open my eyes to see this coming restoration and give me grace to experience it in Jesus name.

Walking into your restoration

“And it came to pass, as he was telling the king how he had restored a dead body to life, that, behold, the woman, whose son he had restored to life, cried to the king for her house and for her land. And Gehazi said, My lord, O king, this is the woman, and this is her son, whom Elisha restored to life. And when the king asked the woman, she told him. So the king appointed unto her a certain officer, saying, Restore all that was hers, and all the fruits of the field since the day that she left the land, even until now.” 2 Kings 8:5-6.

For someone reading this message, I have a word from the Lord for you, you will walk into your restoration within the days that remain this year. God has seen your labour of love and has heard your prayers.

Our text this morning was about the woman who positioned herself to help the ministry of Elisha. She was blessed with a son as a results of our labour in that ministry. The boy died sometimes along the way but was restored back to life by the prayer of the Man of God. The man of God told her about the coming famine and she left the country for seven years. On the day she came back to plead for her restoration, Gehazi was there to share the testimony of the woman. That was divine arrangement which positions a person to be at the right place at the right time. She got a full restoration of our property and the yield for seven years.

You will not have to struggle for it but the restoration will come. Everyone that needs to facilitate it shall be compelled by the power of God to do what they are supposed to do in the name of Jesus. I heard the voice of the Lord saying, restoration! restoration!!, restoration!!

Prayer for today: I enter into the season of my restoration. I take back everything the enemy stole and I am restored to my rightful position in Jesus name.

Great grace 3

"And of his fullness have we received, and grace for grace" John 1:16

It is important to continuously flow in great Grace. We should avoid being an history in our experience of great grace. Thank God for yesterday experience of grace but today is more important.

We must maintain fellowship with Jesus who is full of grace and of whom we have received grace. The enemy knows this and will want us to break fellowship with him. No reason is good enough to skip anything which is of utmost importance. Not even our busy schedule. Increased grace comes as a result of quality time with the Lord daily. The impartation of His person and His grace happens in the closet of personal fellowship with Him.

May you not be too busy to stay connected to Jesus the source of our great Grace.

Prayer for today: I receive discipline to maintain a daily quality fellowship with you Lord and I continually grow in grace in Jesus name.
