“Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may
exalt you in due time,” 1 Peter 5:6
It does not matter your level of
intelligence, acquired skills and degrees, you must humble yourself before God
if you want Him to lift you. An humble heart is a prerequisite for divine
lifting, divine promotion and divine positioning. God looks for an humble heart
to enthrone a man.
“So Samuel said, “When you were
little in your own eyes, were you not head of the tribes of Israel? And did not
the Lord anoint you king over Israel?” 1 Samuel 15:17
“But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do
not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused
him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward
appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”” 1 Samuel 16:7
God anointed Saul to become the
King of Israel when he demonstrated an humble heart before Him. Eliab looked good to be anointed a king among
the sons of Jesse but he failed in the heart. When God looks at his heart he
was not qualified. Some of the things you go through is permitted by God for
you to develop a right attitude for God to lift you, that is, a humble heart. A
humble heart will pray to God for everything and will be passionate to hear Him
in every situation. A humble heart will declare I am nothing without God. A
humble heart will declare I can do all things through Christ that strengthens
me. You know out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. A humble heart
completely relies on God for results even though he works hard.
May God find you qualified for
His lifting in Jesus name.
Prayer for today: O God, let humility be found in my heart, let me
be found qualified for divine promotion and enthronement in Jesus name.
