Grateful hearts

“Jesus asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner?” Then he said to him, “Rise and go; your faith has made you well.”” Luke 17:17-19

A heart of gratitude is a perquisite to keeping men relevant to your destiny and the power of God in your life. Never take people that God has used for you for granted, be grateful to them. Never take for granted what God has done in your life, be grateful to God.

Faith is necessary to receive a miracle but gratitude is necessary to secure the miracle. In our text today, all the ten lepers had faith to go and show themselves to the priest despite the fact that they were still leprous. They were healed because of their faith. But only one added gratitude to his faith and became whole. The moment he saw that he was healed, he went back to appreciate the Lord. Jesus said his faith had made him well, he would never be sick again.

Maintain a grateful heart as long as you are breathing on the face of the earth. No man is qualified to live to see the next day except for the goodness of God. Apart from this, to them that is joined to the living there is hope; be grateful for the gift of life. Lastly prayers are transported directly to God in the vehicle of gratitude. Philippians 4:6-7 says, “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” It does not matter how prayerful you are; it takes a grateful heart to enjoy the peace of God in this troublesome world.

Beloved, always be grateful.

Prayer for today: O God I thank you for yesterday, today and tomorrow. I will always be grateful to you at all times in Jesus name.
