“But God led the people about, through the way of the wilderness of the Red sea: and the children of Israel went up harnessed out of the land of Egypt.” Exodus 13:18 KJV
Welcome to November 2026, our eleventh month! I agree with you in faith for eleventh-hour miracles and eleven life-changing testimonies, in Jesus’ mighty name. Yesterday evening, I departed South Africa for Morocco, travelling through Dubai. Upon arrival in Dubai, a woman seated beside me remarked, “You left Africa, travelled outside Africa, only to return to Africa!” Her observation struck me. What an unusual route! Yet, that was the itinerary my travel agent had arranged.
This reminded me of how God led the Israelites through the wilderness rather than the shorter route to the Promised Land. God knew they were not yet prepared to confront the battles along the shorter route (Exodus 13:17–18). The longer route was not a punishment but a process of preparation. Through the wilderness, God developed their faith, dependence, and readiness for what lay ahead (Deuteronomy 8:2–3). I do not know the route God is taking you through today, but do not mistake divine preparation for unnecessary delay. Sometimes, God takes you through an unfamiliar route so you can arrive at your destination fully prepared. Ask Him to reveal what He is developing in you for where He is taking you.
Prophetic Word: I declare that every burden
troubling your soul is lifted by the power of God! Your journey will not end in
frustration. Every divine detour will produce growth, every delay will serve
God's purpose, and you will arrive at your promised destination prepared,
strengthened, and victorious, in Jesus' mighty name.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, give me the grace to trust Your
leading, even when the route seems longer than expected. Open my eyes to the
lessons, growth, and preparation hidden in my journey. Remove every hindrance,
strengthen my faith, and let me arrive ready for all You have prepared for me.
In Jesus' mighty name. Amen!
