“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power
of God unto salvation to every one that believeth……...” Romans 1:16
The first power in Christianity is
the salvation power. Your redemption was enforced by power so you are not
powerless. You became a Christian by experiencing the spirit birth: you heard
the word, the Holy Spirit moved upon you, the veil on your minds was taking
away, you received the Gospel and became born again.
“That which is born of the flesh
is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.” John 3:6
“But if our gospel be hid, it is
hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds
of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who
is the image of God, should shine unto them.” 2 Corinthians 4:3-4
The god of this world did not want
to release you, but the power of the Gospel broke his hold over your life and
your redemption was secured. You became translated from the kingdom of darkness
into the kingdom of God. This power changed your life. Your sins are forgiven.
You became part of the family of God. Beloved, the implication of this is that
as a Christian you are not powerless.
May you walk in power every day of
your life in Jesus name.
Prayer for today: I invoke the power
that saved my soul against the powers attacking my life in Jesus name.
