Mind your mind

“Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.” Genesis 50:20

You don’t have control about what people are saying or thinking about you but you do have control over your mind and your goals. So when you set your mind on achieving a goal and things are not going well, people will say all manner of things. Don’t be moved by that because people easily change their minds when they see results.

Paul was on a voyage to Rome as a prisoner and a lot of things went wrong along the way. There was the tempestuous wind, called Euroclydon who almost killed all on board. They all escaped death by divine intervention and landed in an island called Melita. As Paul was gathering sticks to make fire, a deadly snake hanged on his hand. People started expecting him to fall down and die, and they were thinking that he passed through such situation because he was an evil man. Little did they know that God has commissioned him to go and preach in Rome. But when they saw that he did not die, they quickly changed their mind and concluded he was a god.

Beloved, I see people changing their mind because God will show up in your situation and you will achieve your goals in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, give me results that will shut down the mouth of my adversary in Jesus name.
