Winning with your skills 1

“But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” Hebrew 5:14

You are skillful and talented in something. You must discover your skill and use it in order to win with it. Skills put to use grow, while dormant skills die. Also when you put your skills to use, you become a master of it. A lot of people are busy being envious of other people’s talent and neglecting their own. Such people end up being second best and at worst missing everything.

““Then he who had received the one talent came and said, ‘Lord, I knew you to be a hard man, reaping where you have not sown, and gathering where you have not scattered seed. And I was afraid, and went and hid your talent in the ground. Look, there you have what is yours.’” Mathew 25:24-25.

The person with one talent in this parable lost everything to the person who had ten because he became envious and did not put his own to use.

Beloved, there is gold mine of skills within you, mine it.
