Winning with your skills 3

“In the morning David wrote a letter to Joab and sent it with Uriah. In it he wrote, “Put Uriah out in front where the fighting is fiercest. Then withdraw from him so he will be struck down and die.”” 2 Samuel 11:14-15.

When there are no ‘right’ people, skills become dormant. Dormancy is a state of “death” when a thing is not doing what it is supposed to do. Uriah was a skillful fighter; he was named among the best fighters of David (2 Samuel 23:39). He died in the battle not because he was not talented but because people withdrew from him. I pray for you that the people that will make you win with your skills shall come into your life in Jesus name. No matter how skillful you are, you must not be alone.  Even the greatest football player can only succeed if there is a team. Ecclesiastes 4:9 says, “Two are better than one, Because they have a good reward for their labor.” The truth is that you need a man for your skills to cross from obscurity to limelight. Amos 7:5 says, “Then said I, O Lord God, cease, I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.” What should you do? Use your talent at any opportunity you have whether small or big. David was playing for the sheep in the wilderness but unknown to him, a servant of the king saw him (1 Samuel 16:18). Be diligent, “Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.” Stay where God wants you to stay (Genesis 26:3). Choose right friends (Amos 3:3). Pray the right people into your life (Mathew 7:7). Invite the people that you know can help you (Mathew 4:9)

Your destiny shall speak in Jesus name.
