“But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.” Isaiah 53:4-5 KJV
His wounds and His death are vicarious liabilities! Our iniquities were laid on Him!! We were supposed to die and be punished for our sins, Jesus took the punishment on our behalf and died for our sins. Jesus took our place of sin so that we might take His place of righteousness. His wounds and His death secured our deliverance from contrary covenants and curses that held us bound and gave satan access to our lives..
“Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” Galatians 3:13-14
“Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which
was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And
having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly,
triumphing over them in it.” Colossians 2:14-15
The sins are paid for, the covenants and evil dedications are broken, and the curses are turned into blessings. The implication is that satan’s hold is broken. We are free to be who God wants us to be. We must live and speak with the mindset of those who have received victory. We must walk in the light of what Jesus did for us.
Prayer for today: I received the victory that His wound and His death bought for me, in Jesus’ name.
Salvation: Lord Jesus, I believe in the
forgiveness of sin and in the redemption from the power of darkness through
your blood. I confess you as my Savior and Lord. I invite you into my
life to save my soul. Holy Spirit, come into my heart and make me what you want
me to be. Thank you Lord for saving me in Jesus name.
