“(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.” 2 Corinthians 10:4-6.
Strongholds hold a man bound. The Bible describes strongholds as
imaginations that are against the knowledge of God and thoughts that are in
disobedient to Christ. Strongholds are imaginations and thoughts that hold a
man’s life bound. Dealing with strongholds is warfare; you need weapons.
Strongholds are reflected in the way we speak and behave and the results we get
in our lives. If you are always making the wrong decisions, attracting the
wrong people, and experiencing inexplicable failures, you need to deal with
strongholds. If your thinking patterns are contrary to God’s word and His
purposes for your life, you have a stronghold to deal with.
“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.” Proverbs 23:7KJV.
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the
renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and
perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:2
One of the weapons you need to fight the war against strongholds is the word of God, the Bible. Meditate on the scriptures until your mind is renewed and your thinking aligns with the plans and purposes of God for your life. The enemy will surely not want you to do this. He will want you to be busy doing other things. You must fight to ensure that meditation on God’s word is a daily thing in your life (Psalm 1:1–3). Stop watching and listening to the wrong videos and music. Sexual immorality will be a stronghold in your life if you keep watching pornography. Always listen to anointed messages that will transform your life.
May you focus on renewing your mind with the word of God, in Jesus’ name.
Prayer for today: Oh God, break me and mold me, fill me and use me, in Jesus’ name.
Salvation: Lord Jesus, I believe in the
forgiveness of sin and in the redemption from the power of darkness through
your blood. I confess you as my Savior and Lord. I invite you into my
life to save my soul. Holy Spirit, come into my heart and make me what you want
me to be. Thank you Lord for saving me in Jesus name.
