The revelation of His Person

“but we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a [c]stumbling block and to the [d]Greeks foolishness, 24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.” 1 Corinthians 1:23-24 NKJV

Jesus Christ is the centre of our message. Until we have the revelation of His person, we are only playing  religion. Religion cannot work for us. We need the wisdom and the power of God to enforce His kingdom on earth. Without these we are just ordinary and natural like other men. My question to you this morning is this, since you claim to be a Christian, what revelation of the person of Jesus Christ do you have? This is the determinant of whether you will walk in the wisdom and power of God or not.

“Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.” Acts 3:6 NKJV

“Then Philip went down to [a]the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them. 6 And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.” Acts 8:5NKJV

Have you looked into the message of Peter on the day of Pentecost? Have you studied the testimony of Stephen in Acts 6 and 7. The people could not resist the wisdom and the Spirit by which He spoke. He preached Christ from the old testament to the new testament. He had a personal revelation of Jesus Christ. These people worked in the wisdom and the power of God because they had a personal revelation of Jesus Christ. This is also the reason why they could preach Him. I believe every Christian in such a time like this must meditate on the scripture until we have the revelation of His Person.

May you be hungry for the revelation of His Person, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Lord Jesus, reveal Yourself to me and let me have a revelation of Your Person in Your most Holy name.

Salvation: Lord Jesus, I believe in the forgiveness of sin and in the redemption from the power of darkness through your blood. I confess you as my Savior and Lord.  I invite you into my life to save my soul. Holy Spirit, come into my heart and make me what you want me to be. Thank you Lord for saving me in Jesus name.
