“He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.” Proverbs 13:20
Breaking a limit becomes easy when you associate with people who are operating beyond the limit. The choice of mentors and friends has a lot to do with whether you will lift the limit or not. If you know what a man knows and you do what a man does, you will get the same result he is getting. If your eagle decides to only associate with the chickens, you have finished yourself. Your association can make or break you.
“And Moses' father in law said unto him, The thing that thou doest is not good. Thou wilt surely wear away, both thou, and this people that is with thee: for this thing is too heavy for thee; thou art not able to perform it thyself alone.” Exodus 18:17-18
“And he
saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Matthew 4:19
Any man you follow has the power to make you into something. Any association you engage in will either lead you to your destination or take you away from there. As anointed as Moses was, even though he saw God face-to-face, he would not have succeeded in leading the three million people of Israel if not for the wise counsel of Jethro, his father-in-law. Peter would have died as a fisherman if not for the fact that he followed Jesus.
May you be connected to people who will help you go beyond the limits of your life in Jesus’ name.
Prayer for today: Oh God, deliver me from the wrong company and connect me with the right one, in Jesus’ name.
Salvation: Lord Jesus, I believe in the forgiveness of sin and in the redemption
from the power of darkness through your blood. I confess you as my Savior and
Lord. I invite you into my life to save my soul. Holy Spirit, come into
my heart and make me what you want me to be. Thank you Lord for saving me in
Jesus name.
