Affliction terminators 2

 “I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him: With whom my hand shall be established: mine arm also shall strengthen him. The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.” Psalms 89:20-22.

 

The anointing upon you is a terminator of all your afflictions. The anointing establishes God’s hands upon you. The anointing is the arm of the Lord, providing strength for you. The anointing forbids the enemy from outwitting you. The anointing forbids the wicked from subduing you. Your head must not lack oil in this wicked world. The anointing is your empowerment to break yokes and burst bonds.  The anointing is your protection against all wickedness.

 

“He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes; Saying, Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm.” Psalms 105:14-15.

“And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.” Isaiah 10:27

 

In this dispensation, the anointing is the power of the Holy Ghost upon a man. You cannot be anointed and be defeated. You must hunger and thirst for the anointing. Jesus did not do without the anointing so you cannot. As you get anointed, you do things and fight your battles through the power of God.

Affliction terminators 1

 “Until the time that his word came: the word of the Lord tried him. The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free.” Psalms 105:19-20.

 

The arrival of your word is a terminator of all your afflictions. I don’t care to know how long any affliction has been in your life. However, I care enough to inform you that your word has come, and the affliction is over forever. Joseph’s feet were hurt with fetters; he was bound in iron until his word came. He was free from his affliction and was promoted to fulfill his dream. All the afflictions the enemy sent into your life to terminate your dream are terminated in Jesus name.

 

“What do ye imagine against the Lord? he will make an utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time.” Nahum 1:9.

“Then Elisha said, Hear ye the word of the Lord; Thus saith the Lord, To morrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, in the gate of Samaria.” 2 Kings 7:1

 

The arrival of the word is a life changer, destiny empowerment, and affliction terminator. The word of the Lord ended the siege over Samaria; the word shall end the siege over your life. When your word comes, as it has come this morning, you must receive the word, believe the word, and declare the word. By the word of the Lord, I believe you will not enter the new month with the affliction in Jesus name.

Giving to God is an honor

 “Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.” Proverbs 3:9-10.

 

Anytime you are given the opportunity to give to God, don’t miss it.  It is an honor, it is a privilege.  When you give to God, you will surely be better for it. Don’t withhold from God for any reason. Whenever God honors your giving, your level can never remain the same again. He has promised to honor those who honor Him. Give to God sacrificially. Don’t give out of pride. Give to God with an expectation. Speak to your seeds and through your seeds. Give God your tithe. Give God your first fruit. Apart from the fact that it is an honor, what you give does not leave your life; it will come back to you as a harvest.

 

“….Those who honor me I will honor, but those who despise me will be disdained.” 1 Samuel 2:30.

“And Joanna the wife of Chuza Herod's steward, and Susanna, and many others, which ministered unto him of their substance.” Luke 8:3

 

God also sees your giving as a ministry. When a child of God gives to God, he or she is ministering unto the Lord. This ministry should be done in love and in faith. Some people in the church have actually relegated themselves to poverty by thinking that giving is only for a few rich individuals in the church. Such individuals don’t pay tithe, they don’t give sacrificial seed, and when they vow they don’t pay. They are missing God’s honor that will supernaturally lift them.

You shall live long

 “With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.” Psalm 91:16.

 

One of the promises of God to His own is long life. God said He would satisfy you with a long life. You should claim this promise from God. This is because you need a long life to fulfill all your dreams and die empty. You also need a long life to eat the fruit of your labor. The gift of life is a major gift that gives destiny an opportunity for expression. It is never too late to make an impact if you are alive.

 

“There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.”  Exodus 23:26

“For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee.” Psalm 128:2

 

Don’t allow the enemy to kill you before your time, God has promised you a long life. Eat well and right, both physical and spiritual food. Physical food keeps you physically healthy but man shall not live by bread alone. You need the word from the Lord for your spiritual health and to quench the arrow of the enemy.  Most importantly, obey God at all costs in all matters.

 

You shall live long in Jesus name.

You are changing levels!

 “For it was little which thou hadst before I came, and it is now increased unto a multitude; and the Lord hath blessed thee since my coming: and now when shall I provide for mine own house also?” Genesis 30:30.

 

You can challenge your status quo and enforce your change of level if you so desire. Jacob had been a slave to Laban for more than twenty-one years. All he could show for his labor was his wives and children. He was not even in control of his finances. Laban was in charge and was enjoying the moment. Suddenly, Jacob realized that he could change levels. He realized he could do better. Laban knew he had been blessed because of Jacob, yet he kept him under (Genesis 30:27). Jacob challenged the situation, came up with an innovative solution, and realized God’s blessings upon his life.

 

“And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.”  1 Chronicles  4:10

“And the patriarchs, moved with envy, sold Joseph into Egypt: but God was with him, And delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favour and wisdom in the sight of Pharaoh king of Egypt; and he made him governor over Egypt and all his house.” Acts 7:9-10

 

Beloved, I believe you have dwelt enough on this level, it is high time you gained a new vision and empowerment from God to change levels. God wants to do greater things through you. God wants you to be blessed and not just survive. God wants to enlarge and increase you. Start by asking God to help you and give you the grace and power for the next level. Sharpen your skills and dare to take on new levels.

3 things to do in time of trouble

 “And it shall turn to you for a testimony.” Luke 21:13.

 

Trouble and challenges come to all, but thank God, He has not left us ignorant as to what to do to overcome in a time of trouble. The first thing you should do is to expect a testimony. Your trouble is an opportunity for your testimony. God says it shall turn to you for a testimony. Begin to see the testimony instead of the trouble. The second thing to do is to ask God for a mouth and wisdom to conquer the trouble. Every trouble is asking you two questions: what would you say now? and what would you do now? However, God has promised to give you a mouth and wisdom that will turn the trouble into a testimony.

 

“For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.” Luke 21:15

“In your patience possess ye your souls.” Luke 21:19

 

The third thing to do is to be patient. At this time of patience, keep on expecting your testimony, keep on declaring the word God has put in your mouth, and keep on doing what God has told you to do. We shall patiently win over all troubles with positive expectations, positive declarations, and walking in God’s wisdom.

 

You are a winner and not a loser in Jesus name.

The altar that must die

 “And it came to pass the same night, that the Lord said unto him, Take thy father's young bullock, even the second bullock of seven years old, and throw down the altar of Baal that thy father hath, and cut down the grove that is by it:” Judges 6:25.

 

Altars represent a point of contact between celestial beings and terrestrial beings. Altars engage spiritual beings on matters of the earth. Physical altars are prepared to the revealed specifications of the personality they are meant to serve. Altars can engage a spiritual personality to wound or aid a person, a town, or a nation. Altars can imprison a man or limit his destiny. Until such an altar is rooted out and destroyed, the person suffers hardship and shame on earth.

 

“And he gave a sign the same day, saying, This is the sign which the Lord hath spoken; Behold, the altar shall be rent, and the ashes that are upon it shall be poured out.” 1 Kings 13:3

“And when they arose early on the morrow morning, behold, Dagon was fallen upon his face to the ground before the ark of the Lord; and the head of Dagon and both the palms of his hands were cut off upon the threshold; only the stump of Dagon was left to him.” 1 Samuel 5:4

 

Evil altars are sponsors of long-term afflictions and collective captivity. This may be because of an altar deliberately built to afflict a person or a family. It may also be because of a crying altar demanding sacrifices from a person or a family that has been dedicated to it. In these cases, the altar must die for the people to be free.

 

May the altar that is against you become desolate in Jesus name.

A revelation from God

 “And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Matthew 16:17-18.

 

God wants to reveal something to you. God’s revelation will give you stability in this shaky world. His revelation will give you faith in this fearful world. A revelation from God will position you to rule over hell and death. Perhaps you have tried in many ways and failed. A revelation from God will change your life forever.

 

“And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.” Exodus 3:4

“I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.” Habakkuk 2:1

 

Moses, the great potential leader, was relegated to the role of a shepherd of sheep until he turned aside to receive a revelation from God. He did not even own the sheep. When he got a revelation from God, his life was changed, and he also received the power to fulfill his original destiny. It is not too late for you if only you will turn aside to see or stand upon your watch to receive a revelation from God.

Don’t choose to be ignorant

 “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children.” Hosea 4:6.

 

If you have chosen not to learn, you have chosen ignorance. If you have chosen not to increase in learning, you have chosen ignorance. Please do not choose ignorance, it is your greatest enemy. You cannot know beyond your learning. If you want to beat ignorance and fulfill your destiny, you must give yourself fully to learning. Don’t be ignorant of the Word of God. Study, memorize, and meditate on the Word; this is the building block for destiny fulfillment.

 

“The labour of the foolish wearieth every one of them, because he knoweth not how to go to the city.” Ecclesiastes 10:15

“Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established: And by knowledge shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches. A wise man is strong; yea, a man of knowledge increaseth strength.” Proverbs 24:3-5

 

If you are struggling in any area of your life, there is something you don’t know. Go and learn more about that area. Study the Bible to know the mind of God about it. Read books written by people who have mastered it. Attend seminars, workshops, and training. Get a mentor and follow him. In any case, learn. All that you know is all that you have learned.

The Bible is a legal document

 “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Joshua 1:8.

 

The Bible is not just a religious book, it is a legal document. God called it the Book of the Law for Joshua. The Bible is the Superior Law, the Law over all laws. The Bible is divided into the old and new Testaments. A testament is a legal term. Another word for testament is WILL. The Bible is a legal document that reveals the WILL and the PROMISES of the Father. If you decide to know, understand, and live by this legal document, you cannot miss your destiny. Don’t just read it for reading's sake or for religious sake, read it for life's sake. Do not forsake it for others, your life may be at risk because of ignorance of what is written in the Bible.

 

“My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.” Proverbs 4:20-22

“But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.” James 1:5

 

The Bible is likened to a mirror, it reveals the heart of men. More importantly, the Bible is the perfect law of liberty. If you continue therein, you shall be blessed indeed.  We are in a world of laws, both spiritual and temporal. The Bible will position you above other laws that were written against you if you decide to walk in it.

There is a miracle in your mouth

 “Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.” Job 22:28.

 

You can use your mouth to do miracles. Actually, all things are waiting for what you will say. What you decree shall come to pass. You win or lose any battle at the point of your declaration; you must speak for yourself and not against yourself. The Old Testament prophets knew this and it was their advantage over adverse situations. Joshua held the sun and the moon by his mouth. Elijah shut down the rain using his mouth. Jesus came and established the same principle for the New Testament believers. He spoke to the wind, and the wind obeyed.

 

“Then spake Joshua to the Lord in the day when the Lord delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.  And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies…….” Joshua 10:12-13

“And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the Lord God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.” 1 kings 17:1

 

Perhaps, you need a miracle right now, declare your miracle. Call for restoration to your business and career. Tell the sickness to die. Cancel your debts using the word in your mouth. Silence your adversary with the word of your mouth. Cancel every word issued to wound you using your declaration.

Think supernaturally!

 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.  For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9.

 

Think supernaturally; stop thinking naturally. To think supernaturally is to think the way God thinks. As a Christian, you are supernatural. You became born again supernaturally through the Word and the Spirit. Think supernaturally, believe supernaturally, speak supernaturally, and act supernaturally. This is how you will overcome natural and spiritual limitations. This is how you will beat everything satan and the world throw at you. This is the way to get supernatural results in every area of your life.

 

“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.” Proverbs 23:7.

“Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” Mark 9:23

 

To think supernaturally, get into the word of God, meditate on it to know what to think, say, and do. Ask God to anoint you with the Holy Ghost and power. To think supernaturally, you must go beyond human information and get into divine revelation. You have to hear what others are not hearing and see what others are not seeing. Walk with those who believe God and His word.

Don’t limit God

 “Yea, they turned back and tempted God, and limited the Holy One of Israel. They remembered not his hand, nor the day when he delivered them from the enemy.” Psalm 78:41-42

 

The people of Israel limited God, please don’t limit Him.   God is without limit, but you can limit and restrict His work in your life. You can limit God through unbelief, small thinking, negative talking, and forgetting what He has done for you. Jesus could not do much for the people of his own country because of unbelief (Mark 6:5). The ten spies lost the opportunity to possess the promised land because of small thinking and negative talking (Number 13:31-33). The people of Israel limited God when they could not remember what He did for them.

 

“And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a few sick folk, and healed them. And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the villages, teaching.” Mark 6:5-6

“David said moreover, The Lord that delivered me out of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the Lord be with thee.” 1 Samuel 17:37

 

Let me tell you what will happen to you if you don’t limit God: you will get supernatural results in your life that only God can give. This is what happened to David. He killed Goliath because he remembered what God did in the past, he was thinking big and talking positively.

How to get faith 2

 “That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” Hebrew 6:12

 

You can get faith by following people who live and walk by faith. You can learn from people of faith to become a man or a woman of faith. The art of following is the easiest way to learn.  You become whom you follow. Imitation is allowed in the kingdom (1 Cor 11:1). The art of following is the art of imitation, the art of cloning. You can follow a man until his revelation becomes your revelation, and you will get the kind of results he has been getting.  

 

“He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.” Proverbs 13:20

“And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Matthew 4:19

 

One way to follow a man is to listen to him repeatedly. Another way is to read his books. Another way is to be an apprentice under him. You must not only listen and watch, you must copy the person and do what he is doing. Faith can be learned and developed if you can follow a man or woman of faith diligently (Heb 6:12).

How to get faith 1

 “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17

 

I shared with us the importance of faith yesterday. If faith is so important, then we must pay serious attention to get it. Faith begins when the will of God is known. The word of God is the will of God. God is committed to His word (2 Cor 1:10, Is 55:11). He has exalted His word more than His name (Psalm 138:2). If you desire to have faith, you must give undivided attention to God’s word.

“If he called them gods, unto whom the word of God came, and the scripture cannot be broken;” John 10:35

 

There is a word for you and your situation. There is a word that must become a revelation to you for you to generate the faith you need to fulfill your destiny and win your battles. You must sit with the written word of God and meditate on the word day and night. You must give God’s word first place in your life and listen to the word repeatedly.

Why should you have faith

 “And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you.” Luke 17:6

 

Faith is one of the most important attributes of a Christian. It is so important that it is both a gift and a fruit of the Spirit. Let me give you six reasons why you should have faith. You cannot be saved without faith (Ephesian 2:8). You cannot please God without faith (Hebrews 11:6). You cannot obtain a good report without faith (Hebrews 11:2). You cannot receive the promise without faith (Hebrews 6:12). You cannot move mountains and deal with issues in your life without faith (Luke 17:6). You cannot live as a just man on earth without faith (Romans 1:17). You cannot enter heaven without faith (Hebrews 11:10).

 

“To another faith by the same Spirit; ……..” 1 Corinthians 12:9a

“But the fruit of the Spirit is …….. faith,.” Galatians 5:22

 

You cannot do without faith. Faith is your weapon to deal with your troubles and your mountains. Be it in peace or trouble time, faith is your key to maintaining peace and getting rid of the trouble. Faith is the key to overcoming the world. Faith is your key to winning the battles of life. In all your getting, you must get faith.

You shall be remembered

 “For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.” Hebrews 6:10

 

Your giving to God shall be remembered. You shall be rewarded. If you have given in love and in faith, God will surely reward you. God will not only give you a harvest, but He will also make room for you and raise a voice for you where you have no voice. If you are a fruitful branch in the church where you belong, God will make you better. Sacrificial giving can be painful, but yet must be given cheerfully. It can provoke the supernatural of God. Be consistent and don't be weary, you shall be remembered.

 

“Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.” John 15:2

“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Galatians 6:9

 

Don’t sit on the sideline, be involved and give to the ministry you belong to, even at your own level. If you give, don’t do it as if you are doing God a favor. So, if you are offended for any reason, you will stop giving or change church. Do it with love and in faith, and God will accept you. Your giving, if acceptable to God, can change your life forever. 

 

May your seed be acceptable unto God in Jesus name.

Enlarge your capacity and capability

 “Enlarge the place of thy tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of thine habitations: spare not, lengthen thy cords, and strengthen thy stakes; For thou shalt break forth on the right hand and on the left; and thy seed shall inherit the Gentiles, and make the desolate cities to be inhabited.” Isaiah 54:2-3

 

Enlargement is a function of capacity and capability. God will not give you what you are not capable of handling, nor will He give you what you don’t have space for. Build your capacity to receive more from God by spending time with Him and His word. Improve your capability by learning and growing your skills. God is not limited in what He pours into a man. It is a man that defines the limit of what He receives from God. If you bring a cup, God will fill it; if you bring a tank, God will fill it.

“And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.” 2 Kings 4:6

“And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.” Mathew 25:15

 

In 2 Kings 4:6, the widow of the Prophet who was in debt received a miracle of divine multiplication of oil. She was instructed to borrow many empty vessels and then pour her little oil into them. She did, and as long as there were empty vessels, the oil was flowing. The oil only stopped when there was no longer an empty vessel. As long as you have the capacity to receive, God will pour His grace, wisdom, and power into you for enlargement. Similarly, in Matthew 25:15, each of the servants determined what he received based on his ability. If you can handle it, God will give it to you.

 

Increase is your portion in Jesus name.

There is a way 3

 “Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion. The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back. The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs.” Psalm 114:2-4

 

I believe that every child of God is God’s sanctuary today. We are His dominion. We are the living ark of the covenant.  As a result, there is a way even when we are confronted with the sea, the Jordan, mountains, or little hills. We can expect the sea to flee, Jordan to give way, mountains to skip and little hills to run. The implication of this is that you should stop seeing obstacles and start seeing the way.

“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?” 1 Cor 6:19

“But he passing through the midst of them went his way,” Luke 4:30

 

Beloved, it is time for you to pass through opposition and go forward. The obstacle is afraid of you and not the other way around. Start making plans for your next level. Start getting ready to go to the other side of the barrier. As you make your move, the opposition will give way. This is because God lives on the inside of you.

There is a way 2

 “Thus saith the LORD, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;” Isaiah 43:16

 

There is a way for you, may you see it in Jesus name. You may be surrounded by what looks like the sea or mighty waters, but there is a way for you. No matter how impossible your situation looks, there is a way for you. As a child of God, your mindset must be, there is a way. This is the beginning of you finding the way. God is saying to you, there is a way for you. You know what, you may need to just walk through believing that Jesus is holding your hand. You cannot be stranded if you are a believer. All things are possible for those who believe.

“But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea.” Exodus 14:16

“And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.” Matthew 14:29

 

I sense in my spirit that there is a breakthrough for you. What looks like an obstacle will be a thoroughfare. You shall be helped by God. If you believe, declare it in the name of Jesus, praise God for it, and begin to do what you thought you could not do before.

 

God is taking you through in Jesus name.

There is a way 1

 “Thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.”  Isaiah 48:17

Everyone goes through one challenge or the other, but the good news is that there is always a way of victory. The most important thing in life is to always find this way. If you have found Jesus, you have found the way (John 14:6). If you have Jesus, He will give you the Holy Spirit, who will teach you all things and reveal to you what you need to know.

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6

“And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.” John 14:26

Most challenges in life can be described in one word: ignorance. Any time there is a challenge, it is a call to know. There is something you don’t know that needs to be known. Ask the Holy Spirit to show you what you must do. The answer to both the common and uncommon challenges of life is to find out what to do. Some challenges require unique actions. The situation you considered as hard can be solved if you know what you should know. Praying in the Holy Spirit gives access to hidden things.

Your night dream advantage

 “For God speaketh once, yea twice, yet man perceiveth it not. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falleth upon men, in slumberings upon the bed; Then he openeth the ears of men, and sealeth their instruction,” Job 33:14-16

As a child of God, your dreams of the night can give you a vision, an instruction, or a direction.  Your dream of the night must not give you fear, even if it is a nightmare. However, it can give you a prayer point. Many have neglected their dreams of the night, to their own despair. Dreams of the night are spiritual indicators and signals for everyone. Dreams of the night can explain what you are going through, what you will go through, what the enemy is trying to do to you, and the victory ahead of you. Whenever you have a dream of the night, whether good or bad, pray.

“And when they were departed, behold, the angel of the Lord appeareth to Joseph in a dream, saying, Arise, and take the young child and his mother, and flee into Egypt, and be thou there until I bring thee word: for Herod will seek the young child to destroy him.” Matthew 2:13

“And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:” Acts 2:17

Normally, an enemy will want you to be ignorant of his activities against your life. So if your dream of the night exposes him, don’t neglect it, take advantage of it. This was how Joseph knew what to do to protect Jesus at birth. What old men call "a dream" is a vision to young men. My prayer for you is that your dream of the night should be clear. If it is a riddle, you will need to interpret it.

Healing for a troubled heart

 “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.” John 14:1

The heart could be troubled if there is a situation with seemingly no way of escape. In such cases, what you are hearing, who and what you believe are of the utmost importance. If you believe the Lord, you cannot be put to shame. All things are possible to him who believes. There is always a way of escape and victory. Job said, “I know my redeemer lives.” Jesus is saying to you, “Let not your heart be troubled, I will help you.” If you surround yourself with people who believe in the Lord and have experienced His power, you will hear faith-filled words that will strengthen your faith and comfort your soul.  

 

“For I know that my redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth:” Job 19:25

“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” Proverbs 6:10-11

 

The enemy will amplify the negative voice of the situation. This is coupled with the fact that you are in it physically and you know it. This constitutes a strong battle at the gate of your heart. You need to believe the Lord and His promises to win this battle and have rest in your heart. You cannot go down if you trust the Lord, confess His promises, pray and listen to Him.

Take control of your sleep

 “But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away.” Mathew 13:25

Spiritually speaking, sleeping is an indication of spiritual inactivity and powerlessness. You must keep awake spiritually to quench the onslaught of the adversary. Physical sleep is refreshing, but spiritual sleep is dangerous. The enemy has chosen the time of the night; the time we are sleeping to launch his attacks. When a man is sleeping even if he is guarding his property, he is not really there. He is helpless and cannot resist the primary assignment of the invader which is to steal, kill, and destroy.

“And this woman's child died in the night; because she overlaid it. And she arose at midnight, and took my son from beside me, while thine handmaid slept, and laid it in her bosom, and laid her dead child in my bosom.” 1 Kings 3:19-20

“Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.” Proverbs 6:10-11

Our text for today says when people slept, the enemy came and put weeds among the wheat. In 1 Kings 3, a woman in the night slept on her son and killed it. In the same chapter, another woman’s son was replaced with a dead one while she was sleeping. Proverbs 6 even says that a little sleep brings in poverty. Beloved, many people are in trouble today because the enemy came when they were sleeping. Glory had been stolen or exchanged for another during the night while people slept. The good news is that you can wake up from your sleep, go after the enemy and recover all.

May you recover everything stolen by the power of the night in Jesus name.

You have power

 “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:” John 1:12

As a Christian and a believer in Christ Jesus, you have power. You cannot be born again without power. Whether you feel it or not, you have power as a born-again child of God. Do not be intimidated by anything in this world. You have power over all unclean spirits and the kingdom of darkness. You have the power to enforce the kingdom of God in this three-dimensional world.  The Holy Spirit resides in you. You are the living Ark of God. You are here to dominate for God.

“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Luke 10:19

“Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.” 1 Samuel 17:45

Do not keep quiet when the enemy is throwing darts and a storm is raging against you; exercise your power by speaking against them. The enemy wants to cage you and mess you up and you are crying. How can a king cry when he has authority? Get up and take charge of the situation, and not the situation taking charge of you.

Let the storm be still in Jesus name.

The name of Jesus

 “The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.” Proverbs 18:10

As a Christian, you must not doubt the name of Jesus. Faith in the name of Jesus gives you access to the supernatural. The same name was called the name of the Lord in the Old Testament. Even a righteous man, someone who is in right standing with God or who has received righteousness through Christ Jesus, may need safety for any reason. The name of Jesus is the answer.

“Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.” 1 Samuel 17:45

“That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;” Philippians 2:10

David killed Goliath. Although he had stones and a sling in his hand, he confessed that his real weapon was the name of Jesus. This gave his seemingly weak instrument a supernatural capability. Paul, talking by revelation to the Philippians, said the name of Jesus is the key to dominion in all realms of life (Phi 2:10, Gen 1:28). I do not know what is confronting you or what you are confronting; the name of Jesus is your key to your victory.

I decree you have victory in Jesus name.

God will hear you

 “Therefore I will look unto the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me.” Micah 7:7

As a child of God, you can be sure that God will hear you and answer you. Your wait for God cannot be disappointed. Do not be carried away by a seemingly delayed answer. If you have turned to God, the end will be good for you. You cannot be swallowed up. If you have fallen, you shall rise again. If the storm of life rises against you, the storm shall die. You must follow those who, through faith and patience, inherit the promise. Never give up on God.

“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” Jeremiah 33:3

“And now I exhort you to be of good cheer: for there shall be no loss of any man's life among you, but of the ship. For there stood by me this night the angel of God, whose I am, and whom I serve,” Acts 27:22-23

God’s way is different from our ways. Paul and the voyage to Rome encountered a tempestuous wind, called Euroclydon. Although Paul sensed this challenge and warned the Centurion, who did not listen to him, he too found himself in danger of death. I am sure he started praying immediately. His answer came after several days. Beloved, your answer will come. Wait for God and trust Him with your whole heart.

Surely God’s goodness and mercy

 “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.” Psalm 23:6

Psalm 23 is one of the most read Psalms.  I am not doing an exegesis of the chapter, but I want to call your attention to the most commonly recited verse of the chapter. Most churches close their services by reciting this particular service. Have you ever considered the weight of the words used and their applications to your life and destiny? If you have God’s goodness and mercy in your life, you will never have to worry about anything in this life. You will always be confident, even in difficult seasons and the challenges of life.

“And the Lord passed by before him, and proclaimed, The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,” Exodus 34:6

“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Mark 16:20

Beloved, in such a time like this, you cannot be casual about this verse. You must confess it in boldness and pray it into your life. The truth is that none of us can make it without His goodness and mercy. We thank God that our Lord Jesus Christ has given us access. We can come boldly to God’s throne to obtain His goodness and mercy even in our time of need.

Surely God’s goodness and mercy shall follow you in Jesus name.

God working with you

 “Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied.” 1 Samuel 17:5

David was skillful at using stone and slings. He killed Goliath with them. He was skillful with his hands too; he killed a lion and a bear using them. It is good and expected of each of us to be skillful in something. But, realistically speaking, he did not do it alone. God was working with him.  Through David, God took care of the lion, the bear, and Goliath because the Spirit of God was upon him. God’s strength is His Spirit upon a man. When God works with you, He will put His Spirit upon you, and signs shall follow you.  

 “For by thee I have run through a troop; and by my God have I leaped over a wall.” Psalms 18:29

“And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.” Mark 16:20

Beloved, stop facing the day on your own. Pray through the day before it comes. Ask God to put His Spirit upon you and work with you. Ask Him to exchange your weakness for His strength. Ask Him to lead and guide you. Believe that he has answered your prayers and expect supernatural results.

Signs shall follow you in Jesus name.
