The greatest of these is love

“There are three things that remain—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13 (NIV)

There are three factors that sustain any destiny, they are hope, faith, and love. Faith gives substance to hope, so hope cannot produce results without faith (Heb 11:1). Hope cannot disappoint when the love of God is in our hearts (Roman 5:5). Faith itself is made to work through love (Gal 5:6), so love is the greatest.  However, this kind of love is not sexually driven, neither is it friendship driven, it is unconditional love. It is agape, God's kind of love. It is not merited, but it is received. It can only be expressed and shared if has been received.

“For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.” Galatians 5:6

“And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.” Ephesians 3:19

The characteristics of this love are revealed in 1 Corinthians 13. It passes knowledge, but it grants access to the fullness of God. God is this love. This is what the world needs. The source of this kind of love is the Holy Spirit Himself (Rom 5:5). We must pray for it as Paul did in Ephesians 3. We must receive this love and walk in it.

May you have the revelation of God’s kind of love in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: I receive God’s kind of love and walk in it through the Holy Spirit in Jesus name.

Salvation: Lord Jesus, I believe in the forgiveness of sin and in the redemption from the power of darkness through your blood. I confess you as my Savior and Lord.  I invite you into my life to save my soul. Holy Spirit, come into my heart and make me what you want me to be. Thank you Lord for saving me in Jesus name.
