Time factor

“Until the time that his word came…….” Psalm 105:19

Time is a major factor in destiny. It takes time to make things happen. It takes time to build. It takes a shorter time to destroy, but it still takes time. A breakthrough in destiny is a process and it takes time. Even every trouble is a process, when the process is completed, the trouble must expire. The bible talked about the process of time and the fullness of time.

“And it came to pass in PROCESS OF TIME, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage.” Exodus 2:23

“But when the FULNESS OF THE TIME was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,” Galatians 4:4

When the process of time is completed for anything, the time turns to the fullness of time then you get results from the process or you get a breakthrough in life and destiny. Be encouraged that your challenges will not last forever; they will soon expire. Be encouraged that your efforts will not go unrewarded forever; breakthrough will soon come. How do you respond to this message? keep on doing what you are supposed to do and keep your eyes on your expectation.

The solution is close to you!

“But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;” Romans 10:8

The solution to all your problems is in you and around you, it is not far from you at all. The reason is this, all problems are information connected. You actually called a situation problem, when you don’t know what to do. If you have the right information, you have the solution to your problem. The word of faith is positioned first in your heart, which is in you. If you can search your heart, you will always find an answer. This is why you should keep your heart with all diligence; because out of it are the issues of life. Feed your heart with the word of God and not with junks so that when trouble comes, you can find answers.

“And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me, what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thine handmaid hath not any thing in the house, save a pot of oil.” 2 Kings 4:2

“And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.” Genesis 21:19

The solution is around you. Don’t think your gift or talent is small, it is what will deliver you from poverty. The widow did not know that the little oil in her house was all she needed to come out of debt and live in abundance. Hagar was going to die with her son until her eyes were opened to see a well of water just beside her. Don’t look too far, look first within you and then around you, what you are looking for is just so close to you.

Don’t look back

“And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:62

When you have decided your destination, do not look back until you get there. Go for your goal with all your heart and your strength. If you keep looking back, you will soon find a way to go there. If you keep on looking for a reason why you should quit, you will soon find one. Discouragement may come in the way, encourage yourself and cry unto God to help you. Nevertheless, never look back, the trophy is in front of you.

“And truly, if they had been mindful of that country from whence they came out, they might have had opportunity to have returned.” Hebrews 11:15

“But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt.” Genesis 19:26

The direction of your “looking” has the power to tell your mind what it should do because your eye is a major gate to your mind. Whatever has entered your mind has entered your life. If you keep your eyes on the goal, your mind will create the path to get you there. That is why you should not look back. Jesus said no one that looks back is fit to get to the destination.

Decide to grow

“Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all” Galatians 4:1

One major decision that will help your life and your destiny is a decision to grow as a believer in Christ. Decide to grow in grace, in faith, in wisdom, in service, in obedience, in anointing, and in the power of God. The promises of God are ours to take but it is difficult to appropriate them without growing. The enemy knows when you are not growing and he will want to rob you of what rightly belongs to you. Your growth depends on your knowledge of the word of God and your sensitivity to the Holy Spirit.

“But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” Hebrews 5:14

 “That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;” Philippians 3:10

We are heirs of God, we cannot continue to live like servants. We should not be moved by situations rather we should move situations. We should not be controlled by the flesh, we must rather be in control of our flesh. Much more importantly we must have the power of darkness under our feet. This will only happen if we are no longer baby Christians but mature Christians who know their right from the left. Ask yourself today, are you growing in the Lord.

Get up and move on!

“I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, ………,” Luke 15:18

God did not put that sickness, poverty, rejection, and such on you. HE DID NOT. The decision to get up from any such situation is yours. You must decide to leave wherever the enemy has put you and go to where God wants you to be. The direction towards God and His will for your life is always the best direction for your life. It is the will of God for you to healed and healthy. It is the will of God for you to be successful and prosperous. It is the will of God for you to fulfil destiny. Reach out first to the loving father, get up and move on to where He wants you to be.

“The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.” John 10:10

 “But thou, O Lord, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head. I cried unto the Lord with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.” Psalm 3:3-4

May be you have tried and failed on your own. Turn to God and stay there until you receive help from Him.  He is the lifter up of your head. He is the destroyer of the work of the enemy. You cannot reach out to God and still stay where the enemy put you. The enemy put Joseph in the pit, God brought him out. They sold him to slavery, God brought him out. They put him in prison, God brought him out and put him on the throne (Acts 7:9-10). As you reach out to God He will surely bring you out. You are getting up in Jesus name.

Look up, help is coming!

“I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.” Psalm 121:1-2

There is guaranteed help from above. Anytime you look up to God and ask for help, He will look upon you and help you. He is the present help in trouble. He is the lifter of men out of the dungeon, no matter how deep. His help will always swallow your trouble. When He helps you, nothing can defeat you. You must look up to Him for help is coming to you. God asked me to tell you, you shall have help.

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:

 “And God heard their groaning, and God remembered his covenant with Abraham, with Isaac, and with Jacob. And God looked upon the children of Israel, and God had respect unto them.” Exodus 2:24-25

As a child of God, you are in covenant with Him. This covenant is better than the Abrahamic covenant. It is a new covenant sealed with the blood of Jesus. It grants you access to help at all times.  I don’t know what you are going through right now but I know that if you look up to God, He will help you and sustain you.  God has respect for all His children who are in covenant with Him.

Your needed help has come in Jesus name.

Engage the power of mentoring

“ And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Matthew 4:19

Don’t be too big to have a mentor.  Mentoring brings growth and enlarges the capacity to execute vision and ideas. Mentoring provides a platform to learn from the experience of those who have succeeded in the area of your pursuit. Who speaks into your life? Who do you follow? If you follow a fisher of men you become a fisher of men, and if you follow a fisherman you become one also. The easiest way to get to your destination is to be led by a person who has been there. Mentors are needed in every major area of life, health, finances, marriage, career, business, calling, and spiritual destiny.

“Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, Lord; for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place.” 1 Samuel 3:9

 “And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.” Acts 9:6

The road to success becomes easy with the right guidance. You may only need to be told what to do to experience a change in your life. Reading books, listening to teachings on all available platforms, submitting to a person God has led you to, may be all you need to give shape to your destiny.

Don’t give up on yourself

“For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.” Job 14:7

Never give up on yourself, no matter what your situation is. It is never over if you are still breathing. Your future is better than your present. If you give up on yourself it is over. You can begin again. You can re-fire again. You can re-strategize and still conquer your territory. Everyone passes through challenges, only those who do not give up on themselves get to the Promised Land. God has not given up on you, never give up on yourself.

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” Jeremiah 29:11

 “If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:” Isaiah 1:19

One major reason why you should not give up on yourself is that if you are no longer willing, no one can help you. If there is a will, there will always be a way. Even if you are knowledgeable in what you are doing, you must be willing to make things work. It takes willingness and obedience to the truth (right information, correction, instruction, and direction) to turn things around for good.

Focus

“And as thy servant was busy here and there, he was gone. And the king of Israel said unto him, So shall thy judgment be; thyself hast decided it.” 1 King 20:40

You cannot be busy with many things at the same time, if you want a great result. Identify the most important thing and focus your energy to accomplish it per time.  When a blacksmith wants to obtain a particular shape from a tough iron, he focuses his hammer on the same spot and the iron will conform. You may not realize what you are capable of doing until you engage the power of focus. Broken focus is one of the major reasons for failure. Broken focus or distraction is one of the major reasons for failure in life.

“The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light.” Matthew 6:22

 “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”  Philippians 3:13-14

When you focus on one thing, you will have illumination. You cannot fail when you have illumination. Focus engages the whole you, your body, soul, and spirit in a matter. When you focus on one thing, you press into your breakthrough. When you keep on allowing distraction, you waste energy and time. Define clearly what you want to achieve and focus your energy to achieve it. Do not be like the man in our text who left the main thing undone because he was busy here and there.

Be positive

“And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.” Numbers 13:30

You have nothing to lose if you have a positive attitude towards life. On the other hand, you have all to lose if your attitude is negative.  A positive mental attitude is all you need to drive towards a positive change in your life. When your thinking is positive, your life will be positive and progressive.  Your attitude creates your altitude. If you want to go up, your mental attitude must be positive, but a negative mental attitude takes a man further down. I see everything turning around for your good as you think positively in Jesus name.

“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” Philippians 4:13

 “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31

One way to build a positive attitude is to be God-conscious. Whose you are is more important than who you are. If you believe that you belong to God and He is in charge of your life, you can approach life from a positive perspective. You know that nothing can be against you and His strength is available for you to turn things around. You can now begin to think solution instead of dwelling on the problem. You can now think of victory instead of staying defeated.

Be patient

“That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.” Hebrews 6:12

You will have to combine patience with faith for you to see the fruitfulness of your idea or your vision. Patiently work on your idea with the firm belief that it will produce. Patience enables you to be consistently positive and expectant as you pass through various stages in executing your idea. There will definitely be ups and downs as you move towards your breakthrough. Patience enables you to stay positive when the condition is negative. Patience enables you to stay up when your condition is down.

“There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?” Genesis 39:9

 “And David said to Abishai, Destroy him not: for who can stretch forth his hand against the Lord's anointed, and be guiltless?” 1 Samuel 26:9

Patience is also translated as longsuffering in the bible. This implies going through the process without doubting the expected result. This was one of the virtues that took Joseph to the palace. He would have settled in the house of Potiphar but he patiently went to prison believing that He would eventually get the throne. And he did. David refused to kill Saul and patiently waited for God to give him the throne. He saw the victory at the end.

May you patiently work on your idea and your vision into completion in Jesus name.

Act on your idea

“And the Lord answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.” Habakkuk 2:2

Write down your idea and run with it. It is true that ideas rule the world. It is also true that one idea can change your life forever. However, only the idea your run with can change your life and empower you to rule your world. You must work on your idea to gain the value it carries. Do your research, find out the information that can help you build the idea into physical reality.

“And Jacob took him rods of green poplar, and of the hazel and chesnut tree; and pilled white strakes in them, and made the white appear which was in the rods.” Genesis 30:37

 “Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.” James 2:17

An idea without work is zero. Jacob did not waste time, he had been working with cattle for long. He put his idea to work and gained the dividend. If God has spoken to you, run with it if you know His voice. Abraham’s idea came from the voice of God that he heard. He acted promptly and today He is still the reference for God’s blessing. Remember, you can pray through, think through, or do both to get a breakthrough idea.

Provoke your creativity

“And Jacob took him rods of green poplar, and of the hazel and chesnut tree; and pilled white strakes in them, and made the white appear which was in the rods.” Genesis 30:37

Embedded within you is the ability to create. Now you need to provoke the creativity in you and bring solutions to your situation and to humanity. You need an intense desire to solve a problem or to achieve a goal for you to provoke your creativity. This is the reason you should not look at your challenge from a negative perspective. See it as a provocation to create a solution. This is also the reason you should have stretch goals for yourself, it brings out your best.

“For it was little which thou hadst before I came, and it is now increased unto a multitude; and the Lord hath blessed thee since my coming: and now when shall I provide for mine own house also?” Genesis 30:30

 “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Joshua 1:8

Jacob created the idea to breed cattle of certain specifications when he found himself in desperate need of prosperity. Necessity is the mother of great ideas and creativity. Let whatever you are passing through right now provoke you to think and to pray for a breakthrough idea. When you think, think about solutions. When you pray, ask God to help your creativity.

Conclude the past!

“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,” Philippians 3:13

Conclude the past, whether good or bad. Never live in regrets of what happened yesterday. Also, the excitement of yesterday needs freshness today.  You do not have control over the past, stop attaching yourself to it. If you attach yourself to the past, you cannot go into the future. There are two lessons from your past. The first is how to continue to do things if you have been successful. The second is what to stop doing or change if you have been failing. No matter what the past is, your future is better.

“I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,” Luke 15:18

“Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God.” 1 Samuel 17:36

One good thing about the prodigal son was that he did not remain in the past. He quickly reconsidered his ways, went back to his father, and gained a fresh opportunity to shape his future. David on the other hand, maintained his winning strategy. He did not die with the excitement of killing a lion, he went on to kill Goliath. Beloved, stop living in the past, your future is better.

Identify destiny relationships

“And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:” Ruth 1:16

Identify relationships that are significant for you to fulfill your destiny and service them. There are certain things you would not be able to do unless certain people are in your life. There are also certain things that will be hindered in your life if certain people are still attached to your life. You must invest your time in a good relationship and keep it alive. On the other hand, be ready to get rid of relationships that are toxic to your destiny.

“And he said unto them, Take me up, and cast me forth into the sea; so shall the sea be calm unto you: for I know that for my sake this great tempest is upon you.” Jonah 1:12

“And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” Matthew 4:19

Naomi did not look like it, but Ruth was able to discern that her future was with her, so she pursued the relationship. On the other hand, having people like Jonah in the ship of your life would lead to much losses. Peter would have died a fisherman if he had not met and connected with Jesus.  He followed Jesus and he became a fisher of men.

May you identify and maintain good relationships in your life in Jesus name.

Forgive

“Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:  And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.” Ephesians 4:31-32

Forgiving those who offend you brings healing to your soul and positions you to receive forgiveness from God. Un-forgiveness on the other hand, is a poison to destiny, it hinders prayer from being answered and permits sicknesses and diseases. No man who keeps malice can walk with God. God commands us to forgive others as a prerequisite to receiving forgiveness from Him. Especially, when the offender has asked for forgiveness.

“For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” Matthew 6:14-15

“Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.” Matthew 18:21-22

Jesus’ instruction to all believers did not actually leave any room for us to hold anything against one another. He said we must let it go. Forgiveness keeps us together in the church and as a family. As human beings, for one reason or the other, offense may come. But we should not allow offense to stay so that we can enjoy the best of God in our lives and in our midst. As believers, we must be quick to say, “sorry,” and also be quick to say, “I forgive you.”

If there is any offense against you, let it go.

Pray always

^“Pray without ceasing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:17

Pray always about everything and also in faith. As Christians, we have a Father that always listens and is willing to answer our prayers. Never doubt God in your prayers. Fortunately for us, God is greater than all.  Be bold and be persistent in prayers. Prayer will bring God into your life and your situation. Pray when it is good, pray when it is not so good. Learn from Daniel, he prayed three times a day and he was filled with the Holy Spirit just like a New Testament believer.  He was on top of all situations because he prayed always.

 “And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;” Luke 18:1

“Then these men assembled, and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God.” Daniel 6:11

Beloved, you cannot “over-pray.” Make prayer your lifestyle and you shall be glad you did. Prayer is the master key because even if there is anything that can hinder you, it will be revealed in prayer. Also, you can receive guidance and direction in prayer. In prayer, you actually receive impartation, direction, and supernatural intervention. Any of man’s needs can be handle by one or all of these.  Most importantly prayer draws you close to God who is beautiful for all situations.

Invest 2

^“But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:” Matthew 6:2

Let us talk about the kingdom investment. God’s work is your opportunity to invest in the kingdom’s expansion. It takes money to preach the Gospel.  When you invest in God’s work as an act of love and in obedience, you position yourself for supernatural returns. This is your guaranty against the uncertainty of the world economy. I believe strongly that the least you can do is to tithe. Tithing gives everyone the opportunity to invest in God’s kingdom at his or her own level and to grow thereby.

 “The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.” Proverbs 10:22

“Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work:” 2 Corinthians 9:7-8

Tithes and Offerings are God’s way of funding His work on earth. He rewards every committed investor with His grace and blessings which money cannot buy. For any reason, you can lose your earthly investment but you can never lose what you give to God. Investing in God’s work gives you protection against any form of devourers. However, it is important for you to do it out of understanding, revelation, and cheerfully.

May you experience supernatural harvest in every area of your life in Jesus name.

Invest 1

^“While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” Genesis 8:22

Let me first talk about earthly investment. Plan to multiply your saving through the right investment. Savings don’t multiply in the bank in the presence of inflation, they reduce. Apart from this if you don’t tie the money to an investment you may have an opportunity to spend it. Consult with professionals and experienced friends to know where to invest your savings. Learn from others because wrong and deceitful instruments may swallow your savings.

“And other fell on good ground, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased; and brought forth, some thirty, and some sixty, and some an hundred.” Mark 4:8

“Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days.” Ecclesiastes 11:1

I think information is readily available at our fingertips for us to be equipped to invest correctly. If you put your investment on good ground, it will yield. Be aggressive for the right information if you want to succeed in this. You must consciously engage in investing your savings because your future depends on it. The time of harvest is preceded by the time of sowing.

Live on less

^“There is treasure to be desired and oil in the dwelling of the wise; but a foolish man spendeth it up.” Proverbs 21:20

Money is an instrument for making your dreams and visions happen. Money also makes you live well. It is important for you to understand how to make, manage and grow your money. One key way to managing your money is to save, living on less.  You must separate your need from your want, and deliberately spend on your need, and save the rest. If you discipline yourself to save 20% of your income (Joseph’s formula), your financial future is guaranteed, no matter your current earning.

“Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, and take up the fifth part of the land of Egypt in the seven plenteous years.” Genesis 41:34

“The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.” Proverbs 22:7

If your need is more than your current status, you have overrated yourself and you will live in debt. Savings become difficult when a man’s need is more than his income. Learn to cut yourself to size. Life is in phases, men are in sizes. You can program yourself out of poverty and avoid debt if you do not spend it all. The time of plenty is your opportunity to secure your future. Create the plenty in scarcity by living on the less to secure your future.

Learn continually

^“I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.” Psalms 32:8

Learning precedes performance. What you don’t know you cannot do. Learning is for a lifetime. You cannot stop learning. If you do, you stop growing. Adequate learning puts you in charge and enables you to solve problems. Any time you are faced with hard issues, there is something you need to know. Learning is your key to solving the issue. Learning can be formal and informal. Leaning opportunities abound around us. Choose to consciously learn every day, it is one of the keys to secure your future.

“Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.” Philippians 4:9

“And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.” 2 Kings 2:10

The result of learning is an easier and better life, although learning itself may not be easy. Choose your teacher because the quality of your learning depends on the quality of your teacher. Learn from the Lord through meditation on the scriptures and the Holy Spirit. This is your key to a fruitful life. Learn from a wise so that you will be wise and from the fool, so that you will not become a fool. Learn from whosoever has done what you want to do, this is called mentoring. It is your key to becoming a master of a skill, a business, or an endeavor.

Encourage yourself

^“And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.” 1Ssamuel 30:6

No matter what you are passing through or what you desire, encourage yourself. One great reason for you to encourage yourself is the Lord-God Almighty. You can always find encouragement for yourself in Him. See it this way, as a Christian, your life is in the hand of God. It is not in the hand of the devil or any contrary personality. Secondly, God is an unchangeable changer and a God of restoration. Thirdly, His promises can never fail. And lastly, there is nothing God cannot do. Be encouraged that God shall bring the change you desire in Jesus name.

“For I know that my redeemer liveth…….” Job 19:25a

“For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” 2 Corinthians 1:20

What are you going to do now? Take your bible and find all the promises of God concerning your situation. Meditate on them until you believe them and you are encouraged by them. Then begin to declare them and ask God to perform His word in your life. God always speaks to the people who have encouraged themselves in Him, He also responds to their needs.

Your miracle is now in Jesus name.
