Lord save me!

“But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.” Mathew 14:30

When your faith is weak, and doubt has set in. When the storm is raging and fear has come over you, pray this simple prayer, “Lord, save me.” God is not only willing to save us from our sins. He is also willing to save us from our troubles.

“And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me.” Psalm 50:15
“And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.” Acts 16:25-26

You don’t really need to do anything wrong before the trouble comes. When you are on the Lord’s side, the enemy may want to try how much you can trust the Lord. The enemy may also be angry because you are doing damage to his work as he became angry with Paul and Silas. Also, you will likely handle trouble when your level is about to change as it was for Joseph in Potiphar’s house. A storm may also come because you are trying to do the impossible based on your faith in the Lord as it happened to Peter in our text. In all cases, don’t forget to ask the Lord to save you. Psalm 46:1 says, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Proverbs 18:10 says, “The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.” And when He extends is His hand to save you, just take His hand and you will both walk through the trouble.

May your story turn to glory this week in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, save me in Jesus name.
Call to Salvation: Lord Jesus, I believe in the forgiveness of sin and in the redemption from the power of darkness through your blood. I confess you as my Savior and Lord.  I invite you into my life to save my soul. Holy Spirit, come into my heart and make me what you want me to be. Thank you Lord for saving me in Jesus name.
