“When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.” Mark 5:27-29.
In the bustling throng surrounding Jesus, a desperate woman with a twelve-year ailment reached out in faith, believing that even touching His garment would bring healing. This poignant moment, captured in our text, underscores the profound truth that genuine faith sets individuals apart. Her act of faith was not just a physical movement but a spiritual declaration, distinguishing her from the crowd. Despite the masses pressing around Jesus, it was her faith that drew His attention, demonstrating that sincere belief and trust in Christ have the power to single us out from the multitudes.
“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.” Acts 4:13.
“Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast
him out? And Jesus said unto them,
Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a
grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder
place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” Matthew
17:19-20.
Please focus on building your faith in the Lord. This is what will single you out of the predicament that has befallen our world today. It is faith in Him that will bring you out of difficult challenges. It is faith in Him that will sustain you. It is faith in Him that will make you stronger than both your enemies and adverse situations. If you consistently and daily spend time with Him, your faith will grow.
May you be steadfast in faith and doubt not, in Jesus’ name.
Prayer for today: Oh God, give me a measure of faith for my destiny, in Jesus’ name.
Salvation: Lord Jesus, I believe in the
forgiveness of sin and in the redemption from the power of darkness through
your blood. I confess you as my Savior and Lord. I invite you into my
life to save my soul. Holy Spirit, come into my heart and make me what you want
me to be. Thank you Lord for saving me in Jesus name.
