“And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.” Acts 10:4.
The prayers you pray and the alms you give are tokens of memorial that can deliver you in times and seasons when other things fail. What is your contribution to your church? What is your contribution to the poor? Who is praying for you? Who are you a blessing to? How do you relate with people? Who can you point to that you have helped? You see, there are times when money and titles will fail. The only thing that will stand by you is the authority that you have provoked by your tokens of memorial. Do you have physical and spiritual parents praying for you?
“And a certain centurion's servant, who was dear unto him, was sick, and ready to die. And when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the elders of the Jews, beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant. And when they came to Jesus, they besought him instantly, saying, That he was worthy for whom he should do this: For he loveth our nation, and he hath built us a synagogue.” Luke 7:2-5
“Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by
interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and
almsdeeds which she did.” Acts 9:36.
The Elders said to Jesus, this Centurion is worthy to receive a miracle because he has tokens of memorial. He loves the nation and has built a synagogue. Dorcas was known for her good works and alms deeds. When she fell sick and died, the widow said to Peter, she must not die. They even showed him the dresses she made for them. Dorcas received a miracle and was brought back to life. Beloved, at any level you find yourself, the question is: Where are your tokens of memorial?
May your deeds move God, in Jesus’ name.
Prayer for today: Oh God, let my prayers and my alms come up before You as a memorial, in Jesus’ name.
Salvation: Lord Jesus, I believe in the
forgiveness of sin and in the redemption from the power of darkness through
your blood. I confess you as my Savior and Lord. I invite you into my
life to save my soul. Holy Spirit, come into my heart and make me what you want
me to be. Thank you Lord for saving me in Jesus name.
