Does God hearken unto men?

“And there was no day like that before it or after it, that the Lord hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the Lord fought for Israel.” Joshua 10:14.

God does hearken to men. This truth is vividly illustrated in various biblical narratives. In the case of Joshua, the scripture highlights an extraordinary event where God listened to the voice of a man, halting the sun to allow Israel to triumph over its enemies. This instance, noted in our text, underscores the exceptional nature of God's response to human pleas, showcasing His willingness to alter the natural order in response to the earnest and faithful prayers of His people. Similarly, the account of Elijah in 1 Kings 17:1 reveals how the prophet's declaration of drought was honored by the Lord, manifesting divine power in response to human declarations.

“And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the Lord God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.” 1 Kings 17:1.

“If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.” John 15:7.

The New Testament reinforces this theme, emphasizing a deeper relational dynamic between humanity and the divine. Jesus' words in John 15:7 invite believers to abide in Him and internalize His teachings, promising that such alignment with His will enables their requests to be fulfilled. This promise reflects a covenant relationship where mutual abiding—human faithfulness and divine response—results in answered prayers. Thus, biblical precedents and teachings collectively affirm that God does hearken unto men, especially when their supplications emanate from a place of righteousness and alignment with His divine purposes. Through these interactions, the scriptures convey that while God's responses are sovereign, they are also intricately connected to human faith and obedience.

May God hearken to your voice, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, hear my prayer and let me be an evidence of Your wonders daily in my life, in Jesus’ name.

Salvation: Lord Jesus, I believe in the forgiveness of sin and in the redemption from the power of darkness through your blood. I confess you as my Savior and Lord.  I invite you into my life to save my soul. Holy Spirit, come into my heart and make me what you want me to be. Thank you Lord for saving me in Jesus name.

The greatest honour

“Wherefore the Lord God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the Lord saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.” 1 Samuel 2:30.

The greatest honor on earth is for God to honor a man and his word. God says that if you honor Him, He will honor you. If you know how to honor God and do so, God will honor you. Honor the Lord with your heart, with your body, and with your substance. To honor God with your heart is to obey Him in all things and to prioritize your fellowship with Him. To honor God with your body is to keep your body holy. To honor God with your substance is to support God’s work with your substance.

“If ye love me, keep my commandments.” John 14:15.

“Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase: So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.” Proverbs 3:9-10.

If you walk in God’s honor, you will not need to worry about anything on earth. There are several benefits of God’s honor in the life of a man. These include divine favor and blessings, answered prayers, protection and deliverance, guidance and wisdom, peace and stability, fruitfulness and success, divine strength, honor among people, joy and fulfillment, and eternal life. A decision to honor God is the best decision you can make for yourself.

May you not dishonor God, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, honor me with Your presence in my life, in Jesus’ name.

God gives faith!

“For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.” Romans 12:3.

Several years ago, when I was learning the art of Christian ministry, I was preaching in a church where I was a member. There was a little commotion at the back, and the usher signaled to me that a baby had fainted. As I stepped out of the pulpit, I received an enduement (being clothed) from above—faith from God. I went straight to the baby and commanded him to receive life. There was an instant miracle. I have witnessed this kind of clothing from time to time in my ministry. I discovered that the more you are comfortable in the presence of God and long for fellowship with Him, the greater the measure of faith you receive from Him. When faith is present and active, results are inevitable.

“And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.” Matthew 17:2021.

“And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From whence hath this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?” Mark 6:2.

Bible faith is the wisdom given by God; it produces mighty work. Jesus said consecration, dedication, and commitment are the keys to receiving this kind of faith. Stop worrying about the challenges that you are going through. Rather, separate yourself from men unto God and seek His face daily. You will receive more faith from Him and walk in wonders among men.

May receive a miracle from God, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, give me hunger and thirst for You, in Jesus’ name.

Is it Scriptural to Ask God for Faith

“Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.” Mark 9:23-24.

Yesterday, the prayer I wrote on the word from the Lord was, "Oh God, give me a measure of faith for my destiny, in Jesus’ name." This is because it is scriptural to ask God for faith. Faith is both a fruit of the spirit (Galatians 5:22) and a gift of the spirit (1 Corinthians 12:9). You cannot receive faith from God and not walk like Him on earth. This faith also positions you to receive other things from God. In our text, a distressed father, seeking healing for his son, cries out, "I do believe; help me overcome my unbelief!" His prayer is a candid admission of his struggle with doubt, yet it invites Jesus to intervene and bolster his faith. You can ask God for faith when unbelief is holding you down, but you need a miracle desperately.

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 11:6.

“And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith.” Luke 17:5.

I believe that our true need to solve all problems is faith, hope, and love. My emphasis is on faith today. There is no way you can remain sick if you have faith to be healed. There is no way you can remain poor if you have faith in to be rich. There is no way you can fail if you have the faith to succeed. The right prayer for someone may be, Oh God, increase my faith like the disciples ask the Lord. God gives faith, and He also increases faith.

May doubt not have a foothold in your life, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, increase my faith, in Jesus’ name.

Your faith will single you out!

“When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole. And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague.” Mark 5:27-29.

In the bustling throng surrounding Jesus, a desperate woman with a twelve-year ailment reached out in faith, believing that even touching His garment would bring healing. This poignant moment, captured in our text, underscores the profound truth that genuine faith sets individuals apart. Her act of faith was not just a physical movement but a spiritual declaration, distinguishing her from the crowd. Despite the masses pressing around Jesus, it was her faith that drew His attention, demonstrating that sincere belief and trust in Christ have the power to single us out from the multitudes.

“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.” Acts 4:13.

“Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out?  And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” Matthew 17:19-20.

Please focus on building your faith in the Lord. This is what will single you out of the predicament that has befallen our world today. It is faith in Him that will bring you out of difficult challenges. It is faith in Him that will sustain you. It is faith in Him that will make you stronger than both your enemies and adverse situations. If you consistently and daily spend time with Him, your faith will grow.

May you be steadfast in faith and doubt not, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, give me a measure of faith for my destiny, in Jesus’ name.

Physical sight is limited!

“(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)” 2 Corinthians 5:7.

The fact that you cannot see something with your physical eyes does not mean that it does not exist. If you base your expectations and decisions on what your physical eyes alone can see, you will be limited in life, and you will always live in fear. You must see things with your spiritual eyes, the eyes of faith. All the things that you can presently physically see first existed in the unseen world. Faith is key to bringing your desires and expectations to manifestation, even when they do not look physically real.

“Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.” Hebrews 11:3

“And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.  And Elisha prayed, and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes, that he may see. And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man; and he saw: and, behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire round about Elisha.” 2 Kings 6:16-17.

In this challenging time, you need to see beyond the physical. Your spiritual eyes must be activated for you to see correctly and stay above physical situations. You need not fear, but you need to ask God to open your eyes to see. You need to engage the scriptures and declare consistently the promises of God and what you desire, even when it does not look like it.

May you experience a good life even in tough seasons, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, open my eyes that I may see, in Jesus’ name.

Break free!

“Shake thyself from the dust; arise, and sit down, O Jerusalem: loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion.” Isaiah 52:2.

Belonging to God's family empowers us to break free from sin, poverty, sickness, and bondage. You can shake yourself from the dust and loose yourself from the bands around your neck as a child of God. You have the power and the anointing to do so if you belong to the family of God. No bondage can stay in your life without your permission. Belonging to God's family empowers us to break free from sin, poverty, sickness, and bondage. As God's children, we are assured of His provision. We are assured of healing through Christ's sacrifice. I encourage you to shake yourself from the dust and stand firm in your freedom.

“Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.” Galatians 5:1

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19.

The story of Samson in Judges 16 gives me confidence that every anointed believer who is conscious of being part of the family of God can shake off any bondage from his life. Samson could have shaken himself and gotten rid of the bondage again, but he was no longer anointed. Beloved, as part of the family of God, you are anointed, and you can break free from anything that holds you in bondage.

May you walk in the freedom given to you by God in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: I shake myself from the dust and break every yoke from my neck, in Jesus’ name.

The love of the Father God

“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God.” 1 John 3:1.

It is exciting to know that God is our Father and that He loves us. If you understand this, your relationship with Him will become deeper. God's love is unconditional and sacrificial. God's love provides security. His love assures us that we will always receive good things from Him. Experiencing God's love as our Father brings comfort, provision, and security. You can rest in His love, knowing fully well that you are cherished and cared for as His child.

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8

“If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father, who is in heaven, give good things to them that ask him?” Matthew 7:11.

George Müller, a Christian evangelist, experienced God's provision and love throughout his life. He established orphanages and relied solely on prayer and faith for resources. Müller's life is a testament to God's parental care and provision, reflecting the love described in 1 John 3:1. It is a trying and hard time worldwide. You can enter into and experience God’s love for provision and protection so that you will not experience what the rest of the world is experiencing.

May the love of God preserve, protect, and feed you in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, manifest the love of the Father in my life, in Jesus’ name.

Living as children of God

“And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.” Hebrews 10:24–25.

Being part of God's family is more than a title; it's a way of life. This involves building a community of believers, spiritual disciplines, and alignment with God's will. It also involves engaging with a faith community to strengthen your identity and support your spiritual growth. As a child of God, be active in a living church. Prayer, Bible study, and worship are vital for your spiritual discipline. You must be transformed by renewing your mind and aligning your thoughts and actions with God's will. This will help you live out your divine sonship effectively.

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” Colossians 3:16

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:2.

The story of Ruth and Naomi in the Book of Ruth is a perfect illustration of what I am talking about. Ruth's loyalty to Naomi and her decision to adopt Naomi's people and God as her own (Ruth 1:16) show a practical living out of faith and a new family identity. Ruth's actions demonstrate commitment to community and alignment with God's will, ultimately leading to her being part of the lineage of David and Jesus.

May you be committed to God’s will for your life, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God help me to demonstrate my sonship to You daily, in Jesus’ name.

Understanding Our Divine Adoption

“Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will.” Ephesians 1:5.

God has adopted you and me into His family. Isn’t that wonderful? This is affirmed throughout the New Testament, and it is central to our Christian faith. Our belief in Christ Jesus grants us this new identity. We are heirs of the kingdom; we are joint heirs with Jesus Christ. If you can look beyond what you are passing through and your thinking changes to the reality that you are a child of God, you can never remain the same again. Understanding our adoption into God's family transforms our perspective and our lives. Embrace this identity, knowing you are a beloved child of God, destined for a glorious inheritance.

“For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.” Romans 8:15

“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.” John 1:12.

As adopted children, we are called to live differently. You should not and cannot be swallowed by the same thing that swallows others who are not His children. There are many promises that go along with being a child of God. Believe them, declare them, and walk in them. It is high time we manifested as children of God.

May the glory of God be revealed through you, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh god help me to demonstrate my sonship to You daily, in Jesus’ name.

The family of God

“But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name.” John 1:12.

Your beliefs are a powerful thinking system that determines everything about you. You have got to believe right for your life to be right. Let me show you one thing that you must believe to change your life forever. You must believe that you are a member of the family of God through Christ Jesus. It is insightful to know that your family on earth can determine your status. All truth is parallel. If you are conscious of the fact that you belong to the supreme family of God, your status will be reprocessed. It will no longer matter the status of your physical family on earth. The best of all statuses is to belong to the family of God.

“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.” 1 John 3:1

“Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God.” Ephesians 2:19.

Who you are is more important than who you are. You are a son of God. You are no longer a stranger or a foreigner to God. You are a fellow citizen with the saints, and you belong to the household of God. This is the system of belief that will deliver you from failure, poverty, sickness, and bondage forever. Curses and covenants have no hold over you because you have been redeemed into the family of God through the blood of Jesus (Col 1:13–14).

May you walk in the consciousness of your relationship with God, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: I invoke my sonship status and defeat all defeats in my life, in Jesus’ name.

Invoking God’s mercy

“It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23.

God’s mercy was bestowed on us through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, who took our place of sin so that we might take His place of righteousness. It is by God’s mercy that we are not consumed. Mercy cannot fail, even when other instruments fail. You cannot ask for God’s mercy and be wrong. Mercy reigns supreme over judgment; in other words, when mercy appears, even judgment is silenced. Bartimaeus asked for mercy, and he was not disappointed. Jesus said, you must be full of mercy if you desire to obtain mercy. Whenever it is in your capacity to show mercy, do not hold back.

“And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me.” Mark 10:47

“Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.” Matthew 5:7.

If you are reading this message and you have not invited Jesus into your life, do not be too proud to receive the mercy of God. If you are a Christian and you are going through a situation that is so difficult, ask for God’s mercy. The mercy of God is His prerogative (Romans 9:15), but He will never withhold mercy from His children (Luke 11:13).

May the mercy of God always speak for you, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, have mercy on me, in Jesus’ name.

The Peace of God

“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7.

There is a peace that only God can give. This is a blessing for all of God’s children who put their trust in Him. This kind of peace makes you unshakable during storms and challenges. This is the result of your confidence in God and in His ability to deliver you from all trouble. This kind of peace is based on your faith in God and in His promises. You don’t have to be moved by anything in this world if you are conscious of the presence of God with you. The storm cannot swallow you, and neither can the fire burn you, if the presence of God is with you.

“And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.” Exodus 33:14

“When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.” Isaiah 43:2.

Jesus himself is the Prince of Peace. In Mark 4:38, even in the midst of storms, He was restful. He told the disciples in Matthew 7:24–25 that if they hear His sayings and do them, they will be unshakable when the storms of life come. He said in John 16:33 that in me you might have peace. In the world, you shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. He said in John 14:1, Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. You can always enjoy peace if you are conscious of God’s presence, believe in Him, and walk in obedience to His word.

May the peace of God reign in your life, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, heal my troubled heart and fill my heart with Your peace, in Jesus’ name.

Tokens of memorial!

“And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.” Acts 10:4.

The prayers you pray and the alms you give are tokens of memorial that can deliver you in times and seasons when other things fail. What is your contribution to your church? What is your contribution to the poor? Who is praying for you? Who are you a blessing to? How do you relate with people? Who can you point to that you have helped? You see, there are times when money and titles will fail. The only thing that will stand by you is the authority that you have provoked by your tokens of memorial. Do you have physical and spiritual parents praying for you?

“And a certain centurion's servant, who was dear unto him, was sick, and ready to die. And when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the elders of the Jews, beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant. And when they came to Jesus, they besought him instantly, saying, That he was worthy for whom he should do this: For he loveth our nation, and he hath built us a synagogue.” Luke 7:2-5

“Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which by interpretation is called Dorcas: this woman was full of good works and almsdeeds which she did.” Acts 9:36.

The Elders said to Jesus, this Centurion is worthy to receive a miracle because he has tokens of memorial. He loves the nation and has built a synagogue. Dorcas was known for her good works and alms deeds. When she fell sick and died, the widow said to Peter, she must not die. They even showed him the dresses she made for them. Dorcas received a miracle and was brought back to life. Beloved, at any level you find yourself, the question is: Where are your tokens of memorial?

May your deeds move God, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, let my prayers and my alms come up before You as a memorial, in Jesus’ name.

Use your authority

“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Luke 10:19.

All physical evidence is subject to spiritual authority. As a believer in Christ, you have the spiritual authority to deal with things and issues on earth. He has authorized you to trample upon whatever represents serpents and scorpions and any power of the enemy. You must learn to use your authority at all times in all situations. You must remember that the one who gave you authority has all powers in heaven and on earth.

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.” Matthew 28:18

“And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” Mark 16:17-18

Use your authority and don't be afraid; Satan is afraid of the believer who knows and uses his authority. When dealing with the work of the enemy, you don’t actually need to pray to the Father. You only need to exercise your authority and declare what should be done in the name of Jesus. Learn to declare this way: “Sickness, go, in the name of Jesus.” And when you do, expect results. Take authority over any challenge you may be facing right now. Don’t be afraid, and don’t doubt.

Let the mountain move, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: I take authority over all power of darkness and I subdue them, in Jesus’ name.

Let the fire fall.

“Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.” Matthew 3:12

Are you surrounded by adversaries that are stronger than you? Declare, If I am a child of God, let the fire fall. The fire of the Holy Ghost is your current weapon to win existing and future spiritual battles. When your spiritual eyes are blurred and your spiritual ears are dull, use the fire of the Holy Ghost. When the enemies are ravaging your territory and it seems you are stranded, use the fire. Fire has a double effect on a believer. It brings deliverance to a believer, but judgment to his enemy. The fire is what you need to leave spiritual coldness and ascend to the spiritual authority needed to be on top of your situation. The fire is what you need to put an end to your health affliction and your bondage.

“And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty.” 2 Kings 1:10

“He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.” Daniel 3:25

A simple declaration like this, “Holy Ghost, fire fall upon me now,” can bring deliverance to you and judgment to your enemy. Particularly in this season when spiritual lukewarmness has set in and the enemy wants to take advantage and bring affliction. It is time to call in the fire, burn the chaff, destroy the chains, subdue the adversary, and go forward.

Let the fire fall, in Jesus’ name.

The Holy Spirit and fire.

“I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance. but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:” Matthew 3:11

What differentiates a Christian in this world is a belief in the word of God and the receipt of the Holy Spirit and fire. There is no other form of relationship with God that can give you access to the Holy Spirit and fire except the relationship through Jesus Christ. This is the reason why only Christians are threats to satan and his kingdom on earth. This is the reason why there is no other name on earth through whom anyone could be saved except the name of Jesus.

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.” Acts 4:12KJV

“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.” Luke 10:19KJV

You must ask the Lord to baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire. This is your key to spiritual authority and a supernatural life. When you are baptized in the Holy Spirit and fire, you receive as a package the gifts of the Holy Spirit. When the fire within you continues to burn, you become a true and effective tool in the hands of Christ and an ambassador of His kingdom on earth.

Let the fire fall, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Lord Jesus, baptize me with the Holy Spirit and with fire.

Only believe! 4

“As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken he said unto the ruler of the synagogue, BE NOT AFRAID, ONLY BELIEVE” Mark 5:36

Is there any situation that is causing you to be afraid? Have you heard any news that is bringing fear to you? Jesus says to you, only believe. “Only believe” is a very powerful instrument to kill fear. It does not matter what you have heard or seen. Jesus is saying to you, only believe. Fear has the capacity to paralyze, kill, and destroy. Fear comes from hearing, just as faith comes from hearing. Jesus knew this when he heard what was said to Jairus. He knew that the fact that Jairus had been told that his daughter was dead would bring fear and torment into his life. He told him not to be afraid but only to believe.

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17KJV

“For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” 1 John 5:4 KJV

The question is, What are you going to believe? Jairus only needed to believe that his daughter was not dead, despite what he had been told and that the people were not lying. When Jesus got to his house, he said that the girl was not dead but sleeping. Was he lying? No. He was seeing what the physical eyes could not see. I ask God to open the eyes of your spirit. Beloved, I challenge you to believe God and doubt the enemy.

Unbelief be gone, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: I destroy the root of fear and unbelief in my life, in Jesus’ name.

Only believe! 3

“Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God?” John 11:40

The theme of the Bible can be summarized in two words: “Only believe.” Believe God and His word. Believe in Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Believe in yourself and what God has deposited in you. Only those who believe see the glory. Unfortunately, this is also true about the opposite: doubt or unbelief. If you believe and do not doubt, there is no mountain you cannot move, and there is no storm you cannot stop.

“For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” Mark 11:23 KJV

“And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm. And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?.” Mark 4:39-40 KJV

Say it over and over again, Lord, I believe. It does not matter how impossible the situation is; say it loud, Lord, I believe. Even if the situation looks so hard that unbelief is gripping you, say it loudly and repeatedly, Lord, I believe. You know why? Because you only need to believe to receive a breakthrough. God’s word and promises are yes and amen. He will never fail you, if you only believe. I see God giving you an unusual breakthrough this week, in Jesus name.

Unbelief be gone, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, I believe, show me Your glory, in Jesus’ name.

Only believe! 2

“As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken he said unto the ruler of the synagogue, be not afraid, ONLY BELIEVE” Mark 5:36

Jairus was told not to trouble the Master anymore because they thought the situation had become hopeless. The girl was dead, and this was irreversible for them. Beloved, that was a belief!! Jesus told him, Don’t believe that; believe me, and a miracle will happen. Jairus chose to believe in Jesus, and he got his miracle.

“Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!” Mark 9:24 NKJV

“So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17 KJV

The miracle you desire may not have happened to someone you know before; only believe that God can create it for you. The problem may be running in your family; only believe that it will not get to you. The doctor or the expert may have told you that there is no hope; only believe that there is hope in Jesus Christ. Jesus needs an agreement from you; that is, you need to believe that He can help you. Every time a man exercises unbelief, it shows that he needs more information (Romans 10:17).

Unbelief be gone, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, help my unbelief, in Jesus’ name.

Only believe! 1

“As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken he said unto the ruler of the synagogue, be not afraid, ONLY BELIEVE” Mark 5:36

Whenever we don’t believe God's word or conclude that something is impossible, we hurt ourselves. Also, when we don’t believe that we can achieve something because it looks impossible, we hinder ourselves. The Bible teaches that all things are possible, and God demands our “belief” to work out possibility out of impossibility. The law of this dimensional world demands that we believe in making things happen, whether we are physically qualified or not.

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” Hebrews 11:6 KJV

“Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.” Mark 9:23 KJV

The truth is that a lack of belief is actually a belief in something. There is no true “unbelief” in life. Every unbelief is a belief in something, a belief in the negative, of what is expected or thought; a belief in the status quo; a belief in what is generally accepted to be the fact; a belief in what has always been will be; a belief in something contrary. You have to believe in the future you desire if you want to experience it. Don’t be carried away by what is happening right now; your best is ahead of you.

Unbelief be gone, in Jesus’ name.

Prayer for today: Oh God, increase my faith, in Jesus’ name.
