Walking in possibilities 4

“But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble……..Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.” James 4: 6-10 (KJV)

Abundant grace to walk in possibilities Is available to them who humble themselves before God. God wants to be the all in all in your life so that His fullness can manifest through you. Paul put it this way in Philippians 2:13, “For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.” Jesus said in John 15:5, “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” It does not matter how talented, skillful or brilliant you are, empty yourself in humility before God and He will pour His grace into you. It was said about Saul in 1 Samuel 15:17, “And Samuel said, When thou wast little in thine own sight, wast thou not made the head of the tribes of Israel, and the Lord anointed thee king over Israel?” The words of David in 2 Samuel 6: 21, “ And David said unto Michal, It was before the Lord, which chose me before thy father, and before all his house, to appoint me ruler over the people of the Lord, over Israel: therefore will I play before the Lord.”

Two things are important indicators of humility, the first is giving glory to God in all things. The second is making personal fellowship with God the most important priority. Running out of the presence of God because your phone rang is an indication of pride: you are telling God that the man is more important than Him in your life. Also not spending personal time with God is an indication that God is not important in your life. These kinds of attitude deprive many of the grace and power of God to walk in possibilities.

May you be empty for God to fill you in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God fill me with abundant grace to walk in possibilities.
