The danger of pseudo prophetic ministry

“He said unto him, I am a prophet also as thou art; and an angel spake unto me by the word of the Lord, saying, Bring him back with thee into thine house, that he may eat bread and drink water. But he lied unto him.” 1 Kings 13:18
Encounter with true prophetic ministry can change your life forever but pseudo prophetic ministries are destiny destroyers.
Some of these pseudo-prophetic ministries could be psychological liars like the prophet in our text who would tell you what you want to hear, sweet to your hearing, but move you away from God into sudden destruction. While others are actually witchcraft ministries like that of Simon the sorcerer in Acts 8 pretending to be of God but are actually demonic.  These pseudo ministries prey on impatient and ignorant Christians who think that the super jet age is applicable to spiritual matters. Beloved, it is only in computer applications that you have instant money transfer; in spiritual matters, discipline, waiting on God, steadfastness and consistency in His word are important ingredients of true Godly interventions even in this 21st century.
To deal with these false prophetic ministries you must be rooted in the word of God and be sound in the things of the spirit as a result of consistent personal fellowship with God. You must also trust God with your life and be willing to walk in obedience with him. John advised today’s Christians in 1 John 4:1
“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.”
I decree that every encounter planned by the devil to truncate your destiny shall be frustrated in Jesus name.
Prayer for today: O God arise, expose and disgrace all pseudo prophetic ministries around me in Jesus name.
