Understanding vengeance

“Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.” Romans 12:19

Beloved, never try to punish anyone who does wrong to you. Vengeance is not part of your assignment. Vengeance is totally God’s. Allow God to take care of it because if you do by yourself you will be starting a chain of events whose end you may not know. Tomorrow I will share with you about “understanding reward” so that you can understand this chain of events I am talking about. You may be angry, but you cannot revenge (Romans 12:19, Eph 4:26-27)

“Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.” Romans 12:21
“Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.” Mathew 7:21.

Take a measure to prevent further occurrence but never revenge on any evil done against you. Some issues can be so complicated that you may need to seek God’s instructions and directions or Godly counsel to handle them. Always remember that you must kill evil with good and you must not become a perpetrator of evil no matter what anyone has done against you. Never change your good way no matter the situation you find yourself. Gal 6:9 says, “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”

May God give you grace to be in control of the situation in the time of adversity. May your adversary be subdued before you. May you walk in the goodness of God at all time in Jesus name.

Prayer for today: Oh God give me grace to surrender my painful situations unto you in Jesus name.
