“Therefore
whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto
a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the
floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for
it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine,
and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house
upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew,
and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.” Mathew
7:24-27.
It is you that determine the outcome and not
the magnitude of the challenges.
In our text today, both houses were attacked
by the storm. One was standing after the storm while the other crumbled. The
outcome was determined by the house and not the storm. Whenever the challenges
of life come, you will have to focus on yourself and not the challenge. If your
house is in order, you will successfully handle the challenge. Build your house
on the rock!
Now in building yourself, what you are hearing
is important. And equally important is what you are doing. Hear the word of God
and do it, then the magnitude of the challenges you are going through will not
matter. You will come out of it victoriously. Choose who you listen to. Listen
to people who will encourage you, declare the word of God to you, pray for you
and support you.
“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth
shall make you free.” John 8:32
“Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I
am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but
shall have the light of life.” John 8:12
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God,
and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in
righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto
all good works.” 2 Timothy 3:16-17
I see restoration in every area of your life
in Jesus name.
Prayer for
today: Let the word of the Lord come to me in Jesus name.
