Desire!

“The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.” Proverbs 10:24 KJV

Desire is so powerful that it is the root of all manifestations and achievements. As a child of God, you are encouraged not to be afraid to desire good things. God Himself plants holy desires in the hearts of His people. When your desires align with His will, no force on earth can stop them from being fulfilled. Desire must lead to passionate prayer, consistent and faith-filled action, and unshakable expectation to produce results. The Bible reminds us, “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you” (Matthew 7:7), and again, “The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much” (James 5:16).

Throughout Scripture, we see men and women whose desires, rooted in God’s will, brought about divine breakthroughs. Hannah desired a child and poured out her soul before the Lord, and God granted her Samuel (1 Samuel 1:27). Blind Bartimaeus desired his sight, cried out to Jesus, and received his miracle (Mark 10:51–52). The lame man at the Beautiful Gate looked expectantly and was healed (Acts 3:5–8). These examples remind us that when our desires are anchored in faith, prayer, and obedience, heaven responds. Therefore, nurture godly desires, pray them through, act on them in faith, and watch the Lord bring them to pass in your life.

Prophetic word: I prophesy over your life today that every righteous desire planted in your heart by God shall come to pass in Jesus’ name. I decree that your desires will no longer be delayed, frustrated, or denied. Your desires shall manifest with speed. What you have longed for in righteousness, prayed for with tears, and expected in faith shall be delivered into your hands. No power of darkness shall hinder your testimony. IN JESUS’ NAME.

Prayer: Father, I thank You because You are the God who delights in granting the desires of the righteous. Today, grant me my heart's desires and let them bring glory to Your name. I pray for divine acceleration of my expectation. Strengthen me to pray with passion, to act in faith, and to wait with joyful expectation. Lord, surprise me with testimonies that will cause my mouth to sing a new song. Just as You remembered Hannah, visited Bartimaeus, and lifted the lame man, remember me. Let my desires be granted, my faith strengthened, and my joy made full. In Jesus’ mighty name, Amen.
