Be hungry for words!

“But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God." Matthew 4:4 KJV

Beloved, be hungry for words, specifically, the Word from the Lord; you need to be more hungry for words than for food (Matthew 4:4; Job 23:12). God’s Word is the true sustenance of life; it nourishes the spirit, directs the mind, and heals the body. When Peter acted on Jesus’ instruction to “launch out into the deep,” his nets broke with abundance (Luke 5:4-6). When the widow of Zarephath obeyed the word from Elijah, her flour and oil did not run out (1 Kings 17:8-16). When the prophet Elisha spoke to the indebted widow, her small jar of oil became an overflow (2 Kings 4:1-7). The right word will open doors that no man can shut (Isaiah 22:22) and release provision even in famine (Genesis 26:1-6, 12-14). Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all other things will be added to you (Matthew 6:33).

You cannot have the right word from God and remain in bondage. Joseph was released when God’s word came (Psalm 105:17-20). You cannot have the right word and remain sick, for “He sent His word, and healed them” (Psalm 107:20), just as Naaman was cleansed when he obeyed Elisha’s command (2 Kings 5:10-14). The right word dispels fear (Isaiah 41:10), drives away depression (Isaiah 61:3), gives wisdom to the simple (Psalm 19:7), and stirs up unshakable faith (Romans 10:17). The just shall live by faith (Romans 1:17; Hebrews 10:38), and faith is anchored in the Word. Therefore, incline your ear, store the Word in your heart, and let it be the light to your path (Psalm 119:105).

Prophetic word: I prophesy over your life today that the Word of the Lord is coming to you with life, healing, and deliverance. I declare that every locked gate is opening, and every chain of lack, sickness, and confusion is breaking by the power of His voice. I decree that the appointed time is now, no more delay, no more postponement of your destiny. As you hunger for His truth and seek His face, I speak that doors will open for you in unusual places, and provision will come from unexpected sources. I declare that the Word of God in your mouth will be like fire to consume every work of the enemy and like a hammer to shatter every stubborn resistance. In Jesus’ name.

Prayer: Father, I thank You for Your Word is living and powerful. Today, I receive grace to hunger for Your voice more than my necessary food. Lord, open my ears to hear You clearly, and my heart to obey You instantly. Let Your Word break every chain of bondage, sickness, fear, and lack in my life. As You spoke light into the darkness in the beginning, speak light into every dark area of my destiny. I declare that I am healed by Your Word, delivered by Your Word, and made wise by Your Word. Cause my faith to grow as I hear and believe You. Let every prophetic word You have spoken over my life manifest without delay, and may I walk in the fullness of the promises You have given me.
