“And said, By myself have I sworn, saith the Lord, for because thou
hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: That in blessing I will bless thee, and in
multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the
sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his
enemies;.” Genesis 22:16-17
Giving in Christianity is not a
transaction but an evidence. An evidence of your faith in God. Your faith will
always move God (Hebrews 11:1,6). You must prevail in giving in order to access
your birthright as a Christian. The least you can do is to support the work of
God with your regular tithe. More importantly, let God lead you to give
specifically . You cannot give what is supposed to be used for the preaching of the
Gospel to the poor and yet, you must give to the poor.
“And being in Bethany in the house
of Simon the leper, as he sat at meat, there came a woman having an alabaster
box of ointment of spikenard very precious; and she brake the box, and poured
it on his head. And there were some that had indignation within themselves, and
said, Why was this waste of the ointment made? For it might have been sold for
more than three hundred pence, and have been given to the poor. And they
murmured against her. And Jesus said, Let her alone; why trouble ye her? she
hath wrought a good work on me.” Mark 14:3-6
Abraham prevailed and got major
breakthrough into God’s inheritance when he offered Isaac, his most precious
son, to God in obedience to God’s instruction to him. God sworn by Himself that
Abraham must be blessed.
